Incomplete book message

When clicking " Buy book", I am getting a message that says " Your book seems to have frames on one or more pages that do not contain photos. You must either change the layout of those pages or place photos in those frames before you can buy this book." I checked the layouts, and all the frames have pictures. I do have some pictures that have the "This photo may print at too low of a quality" warning. Is this the problem, or is there something else I may be missing? Thanks in advance for any advise.

Larry (and old toad) - thankyou both so much for your help. I also had separate advice along the same lines from Apple Support who gave me a tool for previewing the order (without having to pdf it). In case you're not aware of this, (highly unlikely I know!) here's the relevant message with tool.When you attempt to submit your order and receive the error message you should be taken to the page in question. If that is the case please highlight that page and then check to see which background you have selected. If you find the "palm tree" background option is selected you'll need to choose another color for your background. If you are not taken to a specific page when you receive the error you'll need to check the background of each page.

However, having spent 4 hours last night on this, following all this advice re. searching for missing hidden photos, I still have the same problem - ie: missing frames error message prevents printing. I'm convinced there are NO missing or hidden photo backgrounds.
I then thought that the culprit might be either or both of the 2 map pages I had created (first time using maps). So I deleted them and re-created them. Since doing that I now have a new problem, just to try my sanity.
Now I can't move anywhere in the book without being 'beeped' at. Can't perform ANY function in iPhoto without the beep. Can't preview because those fields are 'faded' and not chooseable. I can however work quite ok in other applications, so the problem is not with the computer - it's with something in the book. I've sent another request to Support and they've told me I now need to use their techical people over the phone - which I'm trying to avoid.
If you can advise further I'll be most extremely grateful.

Just updated to iphoto 7 and I'm trying to order a book I created. Keep getting a message that says "Incomplete Book" and tells me some frames are empty and that I need to delete them or choose a new layout for the page. As to your iPhoto '08 problem - so far as I know the error you are getting is ALWAYS caused by a missing photo - most often either a background photo (any page that has a gray background or gray palm tree requires a photo for the background) or a full page photo with a background photo behind it (the hardest one to find) Click here for a more complete discussion on this. Just assume that you do in fact have a missing photo and you will have to find it.

Incomplete book message won't let me order 2nd copy of iPhoto book

I have been trying to BUY a 2nd copy of a 90 pg photo book but message says it is INCOMPLETE & I must "drag a photo to place in background" which I already completed perfectly for the 1st book (and received it).
I have redone the pages in question over & over but nothing is accepted...what could be problem? Don't want to spend another month starting a new book over again.

It would be a lot easier to go though each page of the book and verify tha tthe page background is a color rahter that a missing photo - what you do is up to you

have you deleted any photos from iPhoto or tided up your disk since you ordered?
Go thorough the book carefully and verify that all photo frames are filled in - the most common cause of this error- is a page background out requiring a photo with the missing photo hidden behind a layout that includes photos that are there

There is one or more missing photo - typically a page background requiring a photo that is hidden behind a layout with photos in it - look through every page for that - any page tha thas a grey background rather than color is a problem - and it ccan be behind a full page photo so you have to check the page background rather than just look at the page

UNABLE to BUY or order book - "Incomplete Book"

I CANNOT seem to resolve this error message of INCOMPLETE BOOK no matter what i do .. HELP

Welcome to the Apple User discussion forums
Most likely you have a page with a "grey" palm tree or background on it - this is a background that contains a photo
First go through you book and see if there are any grey backgrounds - if there are either add a photo as the background or change the background to a solid color
If this does not work then you have a hidden photo background and you will need to go through the book again and select every full page photo layout and change it to a single photo layout that is not full page so you can see the background - when you find a grey background change it to a solid background and change the photo layout back to full page
You will find your "missing" photo(s) and be able to order
I also suggest asking Apple to provide some tools to help find these missing photos - iPhoto menu ==> provide iPhoto feedback

Incomplete Book error

When trying to 'Buy Book' in iPhoto '09, I keep getting the error:
*Incomplete Book*
Your book seems to have frames on one or more pages that do not contain photos. You must either change the layout of those pages or place photos in those frames before you can buy this book.
All frames do in fact have images - however from what I read this seems to be a page background issue.
Based on the suggestions in the forum, I have re-selected the layout of Blank, then background image and dragged the image on to the background. It all appears onscreen perfectly.
No matter what I do, it keeps giving me the same error message.
Does anyone have any ideas?

Yours s the first post of this I've seen in iPhoto '09 - it use dot be that the most common problem was a background photo behind a full [age photo making it very hard to fine - I'm sure that you do have a missing photo and since it is not obvious it probably is a background photo behind a full page photo

While creating Customer master for a newly defined sales organisation, when i try to save the entry, the screen goes to Partner Function and it displays the error :-

Why "Incomplete Book" warning when making a book?

I begin with Autoflow to distribute photos. Then rearrange to suit and add one or two text pages. But after clicking on "Buy Book" I get the "Incomplete Book" warning. Even after double checking that there are no blank photo spaces, I get the same warning.
Can't figure out what I'm doing wrong

You have a background in one of the pages that's a gray background with palm trees on it. That's actually a frame for using an image for the page's background. Change it to some other color or add a photo to that page.
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've created an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 08 libraries and Leopard. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.

INCOMPLETE BOOK ERROR...HELP!

I've previewed the book, even made a pdf of the book (all 100 pages of it which is why I refuse to abandon the effort) and all looks great...except the iphoto won't let me buy the book due to this error message.
"Your book seems to have frames on one or more pages that do not contain photos. You must either change the layout of those pages or place photos in those frames before you can buy this book."
I'm sure it's operator error since I've never done this before but support (although they had great suggestions which I did to no avail) takes too long to get back to me (which now means I'm not going to get this book in time)...any suggestions? This book which took me days to complete is soon going to become a moot point.

Let me suggest you create a new library just for the book. You can assemble the photos you want to use in the book in an album in your primary library and use iPhoto Library Manager to transfer them to the book library.
The book library will be small enough that you can easily and quickly back it up each time your use it. Then you can follow #9a - Archiving an iPhoto 7(08)/8(09)/9(11) Book for Editing and/or Ordering at a Later Date to archive the library to a disk (or other hard drive) for use at a later date if additional copies are needed.

STILL "No valid licence for this book" message. Help please.

I bought my first ebook in December from Waterstones for my Elonex ereader and this was ok. The next two books purchased from Waterstones came up with the message, "No valid lisence for this book." After trying to solve the problem of not being able to open/read them I ended up with, "Too many activations." I managed to get my activations re-set, yet am still unable to open/read the books because I am getting the same message, "No valid lisence for this book." I have sent the case to Adobe, but as I waited and waited for the activations to be re-set I could be in for another long wait! Can anyone help please.

I am having the same problem with my elonex 511tEB. Did you manage to get yours sorted out and can you please tell me how to do it.

Can't open e-books - message says something about .ascm file

I've installed the program and uninstalled it numerous times and each time I go to open a book I get a message saying that .ascm is not a supported file. Went into defaults and there is no such file listed. I'm an amateur with all this, so have no idea what to do next.

How are you trying to open them?
I ask because a .pps is a Powerpoint slide show and Adobe REader only opens PDF's.
So, are you double clicking on a file and REader is trying to open them or are you opening Reader then using File>Open and navigating to the file or something else. As many details as you can supply would be good.

Crypto map has incomplete entries message

I'm working on building a configuration on a 5540 running 9.1.2 for L2L VPN. When I reload the device, I get this message:
.WARNING: crypto map has incomplete entries
*** Output from config line 10665, "crypto map L2LVPN interf..."
I seems it's giving me the error on the line where the crypto map is assigned to the outside interface. Unfortunately this message really is not very helpful. I do not have this in production yet. Is there any way I can find out where my problem may be?

Hi,
This usually indicates that one L2L VPN connection Crypto Map configuration is missing some essential parameter to make it complete.
So issue the command
show run crypto map
Then make sure that the following lines exists
crypto map match address
crypto map set peer
crypto map set ikev1 transform-set
If any of the 3 things mentioned above are missing then the crypto map configuration is deemed incomplete and doesnt have the information needed for that L2L VPN to function.
Atleast this is what it seems to me.

Image incomplete error message

I produce a 2 hour DVD every week for stock car racing at Charlotte County Motorsports Park in Florida. I use iMovie & iDVD. This week's DVD is #38. Last year I did 29 2 hour DVDs. No problems in 67 DVDs at all, till now. In the Creating your DVD pane, during the burn process, after it burns the menus, it tells me "image incomplete". No warnings in the Map window, or any problems I can locate in iMovie. It will not read or play in a set-top DVD player, but will play in the Mac. I see all the chapter menus with audio, but, it will not play the chapters or the whole movie.
Please help! I need this DVD for sale Fri night, 11/9/07.

Have you recently switched medias by any chance?
If it's the very same media that's always worked perfectly in the past, then please drag and drop the plist for iDvd to the trash and Restart your mac.
com.apple.iDvd.plist
Remember to Repair Permission thereafter.
Also please include as much info on your mac as possible including available HD space on the startup volume (assuming you have not added any ext. devices recently and if so please disconnect them while troubleshooting). Btw use Verbatim / Maxell DVD-R while we troubleshoot this issue. Thereafter you can use whatever you please.
Are you able to make a disc image to the desktop (from the file menu in iDvd)? if so, use apple's DVD Player app to test for proper playback. This will help narrow down the issue to either the media or your mac.

Incomplete course message on LMS despite completing it

I'm getting course incomplete on my LMS. I enroll on the course fine complete the quiz and get the required pass but when going back to the LMS it says course incomplete. Is there a setting to tell LMS course is complete.

I'm not familiar with Oracle Learning Management but I assume that it's SCORM compatible.
When you publish your course from Captivate you need to enable the reporting for the project. You do that under Preferences - Quiz - Reporting.
You need to define the SCORM version (probably SCORM 1.2 will suffice) and fill out the Manifest with the relevant information. Some LMS' want to have all the information filled out and some LMS' don't. Try and experiment with the manifest settings. (set the mastery score to your pass score requirement).
As for the remaining settings on the Quiz - Reporting tab you also need to experiment with what your LMS accepts. Report status should be "Pass/Fail". Report to LMS can be either Score or Percent depending on your LMS.
Choose Report Data - set it to "Quiz results only" as that is the most conservative option.
Reporting Level: I would set it to "Report score" only since you only need to track the score of your course. If you set it to "Interactions and score" it will store a lot of data in suspend_data (which is a SCORM field) and some LMS' can get confused about that.
The next tab you need to look at is "Pass or Fail". Here you set the pass score for your project. Make sure it's set to what you want.
Finally you need to republish your project (Shift + F12) and then tick the "Zip files" under Output options. That will create your SCORM package that should be ready to upload in your LMS.
I inserted a couple of images of the reporting options etc.
Let me know if it works out for you (or if you already did all this earlier)
