Incomplete import ???

Hello,
What would be standard method of importing your models? Probably,
1. Make an export of the model (Model -> Export to File)
2. Make an import of the model (Model -> Import from File)
Assuming that this would keep your model intact........ Oops to my dismay it doesn't! The question here is Am I doing something worng or is the VC acting strange?
1. On import, I missed the dynamic values
2. On import, certain of the input fields from the webservice was unchecked
3. I had to recreate the table column
I would appreciate expert comments.
Many thanks,
Dharmi

Hi Dharmi,
did you send the exported model via email? - If yes, you have to ZIP/RAR it before you send it via email.
This can cause errors. Did you import it into another system?
Best Regards,
Marcel

  • Incomplete import of mailbox

    I have created an export of a mailbox ; this result in a mbox file , in which  I "think" I have put 7.500 messages, occupying 3,7 GO, ranging from 1 1 2011 to 31 12 2011
When I later import this mbox into mail ( in an other OSX account or in the same account), I only get 5.200 mails, ranging 20 3 2011 to 31 12 2011 ; I have done many trials, and import is always incomplete !
    Can anybody help ?
    ( Mac Book air 13" / 10.7.5 )

I finally managed to make a comple import. Here are the conditions which seems to be required
1- the account / mail from the source import must be closed
2- when importing, choose "mbox" format, and not "Apple mail"
3- leave the mail program / mac as iddle as possible during the import ( could be as stupid as a disruption causing a corruption in the mail)
    Good luck to all !

  • Incomplete Import & Preview Generation

Using Import, if the importation process is not completed by virtue of files already in catalog, incompatible PSD or too large - the process halts instead of moving on to generate the Previews proscribed in the Import dialog. This wastes the opportunity to conduct a large import and walk away from the computer. There should instead be an ability to override the "Import Incomplete" warning, record those warnings as in an Import Log, and move on with preview generation for those files that were successfully imported.

I've solved the problem by uploading the file again and
allowing it to overwrite the existing one. The preview now works as
    intended.

  • Is there any way to recover photos after an incomplete import?

I "deleted originals" before realizing the import was incomplete and now I would like to recover the other half of my intended picture group. Any suggestions? Thanks
    -Dasheck

1 - it is a good idea to never have iPhoto (or any otehr computer program) delete yoru photos - import them and keep the photos until at least one backup cycle is complete - then use the camera's format command to reformat the memory card and erase the photos
2 - you may need a media recovery program like media recover - http://freshcrop.com/

  • Incomplete Import of Audio files

While importing songs, some of the audio files are incomplete due to possibly a bad cd or scratched. Problem is that Itunes Doesn''t show you that it had a problem and it just continues importing the Cd and shows the song as being FULLY Imported and yet only a portion of the song actaully gets saved. How can you tell if It actually imported the ENTIRE Song?????

Im not sure how you get iTunes to show a message like that, but if your having problems with scrached CDs try the error correction feature in the settings. goto edit-->Preferences-->advanced-->Importing. there check the box for error corection and hit OK, it should clear up any problematic CDs
You may want to look for Firmware updates for your CD ROM as well, Im not sure about iTunes but I know alot of programs and the system itsself detects errors the CD ROM reports to it, a firmware update might clear up communication conflicts its giving to the system and stuff

  • Incomplete import from OE in XP. Not all folders imported, and no messages imported.

have you used Version 24. Import is fundamentally broken in 31 for import from outlook. I assume it is no better for outlook express.

  • Immigration assistant incomplete imported iPhoto library.

I used immigration assistant to import "everything" from my old macbookpro OSX 10.6.8 via time machine to my new macbookpro retina mavericks. However it only imported 3 years not including the last 10 months.

Migration Assistant has proved unreliable with iPhoto.
To move an iPhoto Library to a new machine:
Link the two Macs together: there are several ways to do this: Wireless Network,Firewire Target Disk Mode, Ethernet, or even just copy the Library to an external HD and then on to the new machine...
But however you do choose to link the two machines...
Simply copy the iPhoto Library from the Pictures Folder on the old Machine to the Pictures Folder on the new Machine.
    Then launch iPhoto. That's it.
This moves photos, events, albums, books, keywords, slideshows and everything else.

  • Disk image incomplete import

Hi!I created a Disk image (.dmg file) of a personal DVD. I did it in Disk Utilities. The fact is that, following the instructions in these cases, I double click the .dmg file having iMovie open and the Import Window automatically opens. There I can see the complete clip of 64min. I start the import and, when it finishes it says something like "Import complete. 1 clip 64 min". But when I watch the event....it's only 57 min 03 sec long!!!!!!!!! I don't know why I've lost 7 min!!
    What can I do??
    Thanks a lot!

Here is a link to my tip for importing from a personal DVD. This way, you could import those final 7 minutes if they are there.

  • Freeze and incomplete import of music CD.

    My drivers are updated.
    iTunes v. 9.0.3.15
diagnostics run with all pass results.
The following happens with any/all music CDs I have tried:
-Do an import run with all songs selected.
-Pass appears to run correctly by green icon appearance and movement to next tract.
-Finish run on final tract; system freeze (not iTunes... computer freezes)
-Reboot.... all songs except last tract are imported.
This is driving me nuts. I have reinstalled and updated everything I can think of. Any help is appreciated.

    mageThufer wrote:

Incorrect ripping of the final track is an occasionally reported iTunes bug.
As Katrina notes, you can work around via import settings. Change your import setting to WAV, re-rip the last track, make sure it plays OK and if so, change import settings back and convert it.
This has been working for people -- let us know. If not, we will try stronger measures.

  • Slow and Incomplete Importing- iTunes or optical drive problem?

My computer is importing some music from cd's, but not everything.. It just took 30 minutes to import 15 songs and then I realized it didn't even import every song, or just 2-3 seconds of a few.
And, a cd will play songs beautifully with a cd player, but then have static- or not play at all on my laptop.
I also tried using a cleaning disc, and it didn't seem to help. But it is a cheap one.. perhaps a better one would work?
This happened the same day after just updating iTunes..
    Waaa.... Any thoughts? Thanks.

Eureka (I think!). This morning the file-name length problem suddenly hit me. So I radically shortened the main name, checked that the names of subfolders were short and didn't have any undesirable characters in them and burnt another CD, just dragging the stuff into Toast — and it behaves perfectly. Whether any random factors were involved in this miracle cure I cannot tell until and unless the problem recurs with another collection of photos, but I on the whole think not.
There are puzzles, though: as I understand it, systems and applications (in this case OS X, Toast and Pioneer) limit file-names either to 31 or to 255 characters. My original name had 102 characters (less than 255, though more than 31), but my new name has 49 characters — still more than 31. And why did neither Toast nor the Pioneer drive put up a 'File-name too long' warning as soon as I tried to burn with the old, long name?
I wonder if anyone has any thoughts about this? In the meantime, though, I can now get on with life.

  • Incomplete Importing

Just got my iPod and have been uploading for weeks. Just realized that some songs are not fully imported. When trying to import again same thing happens. Problem songs get partially imported and then stops. iTunes then moves to the next song without an error message or anything. Any ideas? Is this a problem with iTunes? The CDs? My computer? My CD drive?

I need more information about your hardware configuration. Run the iTunes Help menu -> Run CD Diagnostics... command and post the results here.

  • After upgrading to Windows 8, FireFox only brought in A-C. Bookmarks were arranged in folders. How do I import?

After upgrading one of our PCs to Windows 8, not all of the bookmarks were in FireFox upon opening the browser for the first time after the upgrade. Only A-C were brought in. We've tried several methods of getting the rest back into the browser with no such luck.
The folder where all the bookmarks are housed was found and backed up. The problem as I see it is that all of the individual bookmarks were sorted into Folders. When the main Bookmarks folder is opened, it contains individual pages (similar to what one would see if they saved the page as a .html page, instead of printing or another save method), and then there are subfolders, that contain even more individual pages. (If this is confusing, I can post an image or a link to an image.) In order to access a bookmarked page, we currently have to go to File Explorer, navigate to the Bookmarks folder, search through the links (which show as the full URL) and folders, to click on the url to have it open in the default browser.
As far as I've been able to discern, through research and trial-and-error, these won't be read by FireFox in the format they are as I view them currently; they need to be in one single .html with links and sublinks, not individual clickable pages. But since they are no longer viewable in the Bookmarks section in FireFox, I am unable to Export them to the correct format.
How do I get *all* of the bookmarks back into FireFox's Bookmarks menu dropdown?
    Thanks.
(Btw, the computer/browser I'm using are not the PC in reference above, in fact, it is not even a PC, so please do not use any info that may show regarding any automatically inserted text about the "internal workings of [my] browser, as it is of no value to this issue.)

The disk folder you're describing sounds a lot like the Windows Favorites folder. That's actually completely independent from Firefox's bookmark storage.
After your upgrade, did you freshly install Firefox? In that case, the problem might be an incomplete import of your Windows Favorites (IE Favorites) instead of an incomplete recovery of your old Firefox bookmarks.
To see whether you still have your Firefox bookmarks, in your backup -- for example, the C:\Windows.old\ folder, or a backup on external media -- could you try to track down a folder named '''bookmarkbackups'''. By default, this is hidden folder, so you may need to turn on viewing of hidden files and folders. This article has the steps: [http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/show-hidden-files].
Let me know what you find and then I can suggest next steps.

Please suggest the way that journal import will not fail because of one wrong journal entry for other correct entries will imported successfully.
I am not quiet sure whether this is recommended and achievable, hopefully other experts may have a valuable input
We are deleting the unbalanced record from GL_INTERFACE and journal import works fine.
For clearing the incomplete imported Journal l entries, Please try running the program "Delete Journal Import Data" as GL user. And select the respective request ID which failed.

  • Importing from iPhoto to Aperture failed

I have iPhoto 9.2.1 and Aperture 3.2.2 and Lion 10.7.2 with a newly re-installed Lion.  After buying Aperture, I imported my entire iPhoto library. There are 16,182 pictures in iPhoto. In Aperture, I now have 19,568 pictures. But, in Aperture, not all of my Events transferred.  Also, there are many pictures in the Events in iPhoto that did not transfer to the same Event name in Aperture. I have no confidence in my iPhoto library being properly imported into Aperture.
What should I do?  Import another library in Aperture?  What can I do to make sure all the iPhoto Library file is transferred properly with all my pictures going over to Aperture?
My iPhoto library size is 81.53 GB.
My new Aperture library is 73.95 GB.
I have 113 GB remaining on this HD.
    Thanks for helping!

    Thank Leonie for helping:
    1. Once I had downloaded Aperture from the App Store and launched it, I was prompted by Aperture to open or import a file, as I recall. From Aperture I imported my iPhoto Library
    2. I am not sure what you mean by managed libraries or referenced. In Aperture preference, General, I am using: ~/Pictures/Aperture Library.aplibrary
    3. Both Libraries are on the same internal HD
    4. It took several hours, especially for Aperture to work on Faces, to import the iPhoto Library. I did not open iPhoto Library during the importation. I was not using an external drive or internet site for iPhoto.
    5. I was not aware of anything going wrong during the Importation.
    6. In iPhoto, I have come to learn that both: a) several Events were never imported into Aperture, and b) other Events in Aperture were incompletely imported in that several pictures are missing.  For example, one Event in iPhoto has 24 pictures. The imported Event in Aperture has 11 pictures. When I look at the pictures in iPhoto that did not transfer over, there is nothing I can see that is unusual about them.  The size of the pictures range from 300 Kb to 1.2 MB.
I tested the pictures that were not sent over to Aperture. Indeed, some had been edited as I found in iPhoto>Edit that I could "revert to original".  However, others that were not sent over had NOT been edited in iPhoto as I could not revert to original for them.
    7. I have 822 Events in Aperture, but I am not sure how to find the number of Events in iPhoto to learn how many did not come over.
    Thanks.
    W
