Incomplete numbers on Incoming calls +301,+4044 et...

Hi all,
For quite a while I have been recieving calls from friends and aquaintances from foreign countries where the caller id displays +4044, +4045, +4056, +301 etc.. instead of their number.
This applies mainly to calls recieved from Kenya, UAE, Benin, USA and Singapore.
This happens only on my primary number and when the same persons call on my other number (same service provider as my primary number) their complete numbers are displayed.
Texts from them are recieved properly.
My operator says that this is not an issue from their side.
Any help will be appriciated.

These are not incomplete numbers they are just different.
The country code for kenya is +254xxxxxxx but I always get kenyan calls from +4044 and +4056.
Country code for Egyypt is +20xxxxxx but I get calls from +301 and none of the numbers in the callers number match the ones displayed. So it can't possibally be due to duplicate entries etc.
I confirmed this by deleting all my contacts. Still got the int. calls the same way.

You can go to Phone>Recent - That will display your call history
To capture this you can Press the home button and the power button on your device - just a click -and it will flash and if you check your camera roll it will have a screen shot.

Telephone numbers and incoming calls

Do I need to have a telephone number in order to receive incoming calls? If not, how would anyone call me? What number would they use?

I don't think you'd be able to monitor calls from a website but you could build a system that monitors calls and submits that data to a site using for example, http.
It's difficult to point you in a direction without more information, specifically about the phone system hardware. Many phone systems come with an api that allows you to interact with it. Which system will you be using?

Incoming calls: Country code displaying wrong

No idea why this has started happening. I have two iPhones, one a Malaysia number and one a Thailand number.
I am in Malaysia now and had two friends of mine call me from Thailand yesterday but despite their numbers being in my phone book, correctly formatted, the phone did not display their names. Not only did it not display their names it replaced the correct dialling code for Thailand (+66) with the Malaysia code (+60). Having done some digging the only thing that it seems might be responsible is the International Dial Assist, which I have now turned off. But I'd have thought IDA would be to assist with dialling, not screwing up the numbers of incoming calls from callers whose numbers are CORRECTLY listed in the Contacts with the CORRECT international code.
Seems like yet another useless feature that you have to dig around to disable if you want an iPhone to just work. Why on earth would I would the international code of my contact replaced by the domestic code of my home country??? More and more time I seem to be spending with IOS devices these days just to get them to do what I want!!

Caller ID is a carrier feature. The phone can only display what is sent by your carrier. Contact them and report the problem.

Alexandribill, I have been having the exact same issue. I got a new phone and restored my contacts. If the # doesn't have the area code first then the name isn't shown. I just added my husbands area code to my phone and called my phone from his and now his name shows up...Ugh, I have to go through and manually add the area code to all my contacts....
I'd say Verizon needs to rewrite their program to include the area code in the restoring from backup process!

Context of the problem:
In our company we get a basic phone with split bill system. This works exactly as a normal phone but the provider puts each outgoing call in 2 groups; normal is at your own expense, or at the expense of the company when you put a "2" in front of the normal number.
For example when I dial "0475666777" I pay for it, when I dial "20475666777" the company pays for it.
Lets say "20475666777" is a colleaguecalled "BOB"
Problem:
For example when "BOB" calls me the phone doesn’t recognize the incoming call. The display says incoming call from "+32475666777" in stead of incoming call from "BOB".
All the other nokia phones we used did this just fine....
Also when I save the same number without the "2" the phone say's the number is already in use for "BOB"
Maybe we can change a setting???
Several colleagues got this type of phone as a replacement and they all have the same problem since.

If you are the Account Owner and logged in as such ... once you're logged into your on-line My Verizon account, scroll down a bit to My Usage, then click the blue View Usage Details. Under Minutes, click the blue Breakdown of Recent Activity. Next to Current Call Log for Line, use the drop-down to choose the line you want to view, then highlight that line and you should see the call log.

i have an iPhone 4(factory unlocked) running iOS4.1. when i get incoming calls, the incoming call number is displayed as "UNKNOWN CALLING" and not the number.
all incoming calls are displayed like above including my contacts in the phone.

yes it is enabled only.
previously it was showing the numbers, but suddenly for the past one week, it's showing unknown.

I recently received a Nokia 2730 as a gift. I transferred my Orange sim card into this phone.
The problem is that for incoming calls no name or telephone number is shown. It just shows "Call 1" so I have no idea who is calling. Phone numbers are also not stored in the Call Records, just "no number", so if I miss a call I have no idea who it was. It makes no difference whether a number is stored in my contacts or not.
How do I fix this so I can see who/what number is calling?

1st check with orange to see if its set up for caller id
2nd make sure you dont have duplicate contacts and check what memory your using either phone or sim memory of both

How do I change my incoming call view to see the "phone number" instead of seeing "Unknown" for contacts who are not stored in my phone? Whenever a call comes in it says unknow instead on the phone number that is calling.

You need to set up the accounts in System Preferences/Accounts, then activate Fast User Switching.
That way you can quickly log in to your own account - then back to his.
You should obviously have different passwords.

2 iPhones with separate numbers ring when incoming call

My wife and I have separate iPhones (5 and 5S) running iOS 8.2. An incoming call rings on both phones. Did not happen before I downloaded 8.2.

Skype numbers are BROKEN incoming calls do not rin...

I paid for a Skype number. It used to work fine, people would call, and Skype would play the ringtone and I would answer.
NOW IT'S BROKEN.
One of the latest releases of Skype broke this and there is no Skype support to report and get problems fixed. This is mentioned many times in these forums and Skype will not address the issue. Just search for "incoming calls do not ring"

I am having this issue with an iphone 5/iOS 6. I can receive calls without issue when I have the Skype App open, but if it is in the background, the caller gets a message like "The person you are trying to reach is not available." if voice mail is turned on, or the phone just rings and rings if I have voice mail turned off.
I've confirmed that alerts and other settings in Notification Center are setup as expected. Not sure why this isn't working.

Has your carrier been having issues with Call Display? Do the telephone numbers come up when people call, or does it just show 'Unknown Number' or 'Blocked' ?
