You cannot "recover" damaged or incomplete Photo Booth files. If you have trashed it, you can take it out of the trash and use it with other Mac applications, but it is hard to put it back into Photo Booth. If you want to see how hard, look at
  http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=9962275&#9962275
Even if you go to the trouble of putting it back into the Photo Boot database, I know of no way to recover or rework any files in Photo Booth. If you need editing capability, use iMovie for videos and iPhoto for snapshots.
The only way I know to use Photo Booth to improve or correct a snapshot or movie clip is to redo it.
If you are having problems saving Photo Booth video files, take a look at the suggestions here:

  • JAXB parsing an incomplete xml file

    hi folks,
i am trying to parse a incomplete xml file (e.g some attribute and child elements are missing) in order to complete it via jaxb. however, parsing throws a SAXParseException (premature end of file), which interally is marked as unrecoverable, and a unmarshaller isn't capable of returning a result. not even the objects created so far.
so my question is if there a way of getting the (incomplete) object tree no matter if the parsing was successfully or not. (i am aware of the fact, that this object tree might be invalid)
    cheer, johannes

Thanks, works like a charm :)
    Another question.
I have an index.jsp page with an HTML form (a simple "search" form, made of a text area and a submit button). Now, what I want to do is passing the parameter to two distinct servlets, each one dealing with a web service (one with ebay, the other one with last.fm).
Unfortunately, in the action tag of the form only one value can be specified.
    Any suggestions?

  • Repairing an Incomplete imovie file

I was making a presentation, when for some reason imovie popped up with a "not enough memory" message, and never finished. So I'm sitting with an incomplete .mov file, and when i try to reopen, it doesn't recognize the file. Is there any way to repair an incomplete .mov file, as in, is there any application that can do this? I'm aware that such apps exist for .avi's, but i haven't been able to find one. Are there any other solutions? Thanks for an help

Since the file is incomplete and not simply damaged then I don't see how you could expect to repair it, sorry.

  • Incomplete XML files using xmlparserv2 to trans

When processing XSL using a large XML file (288K), and version
    xmlparserv2.jar from xdk_java_9_0_2_0_0C.zip I get an incomplete
destination XML file. It appeared that more than 99% was
translated but it wasn't 100%. I replaced that version with the
one from xdk_java_9_0_1_1_0A.zip and it works; that is, I get
    the complete (100%) document.
    Anybody?
    Thanks,
    Dave

I have had problems with that particular jar as well. I run on
Solaris but I had to download the current Solaris Beta version
to get my classes to compile and then I have to run my
application with the current production version.
The problem I experience is a corrupt class in the
    xmlparserv2.jar (oracle.xml.parser.v2.XMLDocument). This class
gives a Null Pointer Exception when I run a javap on it from the
    production jar.
You are not alone in trying to find the version that works for
    your particular environment! Good Luck.......

  • Incomplete WSDL file generated

    Hi,
I am testing synchronous processes deployed to BPEL PM 10.1.2.0.2 running on Linux. There are 20 processes deployed, and randomly I encounter the following problem: when testing a process (may be any one), the caller encounters a WSDL validation error with the sync process.
When calling from another BPEL process, the error goes along the lines of: Cannot find binding operation definition based on wsaAction='null', and soapAction='process' in .......wsdl. When testing from Soap UI, an error message states there is nothing to import. However, the process can still be invoked from the BPEL test console.
When I check the WSDL file of the process on the server it is incomplete, missing the <binding> and <service> tags and their contents. To solve the problem, I redeploy the process from JDeveloper (without modifying it), and the WSDL file is then generated normally and I can once again invoke the process.
Any ideas how to resolve this?
    Thanks,
    Nicholas

  • Where can I locate an incomplete download-File is too large to restart

Hi all, I have been downloading a very large file 2.42GB and I was nearly there with only about 400MB to go. I tried to pause the file which was fine but as soon as I hit the resume download it cancelled it and has now started downloading it from scratch!!! arghh this is very annoying.
Is there anyway I can restart this download, has the partial download been saved in a folder I can access somewhere.
Any help would be most welcome.
    Thanks in advance

Hi there Melli and CArolyn. Yes I've just started having this same problem. I have a pretty slow internet connection that has a habit of dropping out, and if a download is partially complete I used to be able to open it in finder and double click the file, and it would RESUME downloading where it left off (clicking the 'resume' icon didn't do this, but using the finder window did, I don't know why). Now, since about a week ago, it's started the download all over again, whichever method I use. Since I have a limited and slow connection, this is a big hassle! I don't know if I have accidentally changed some settings, or if it's since the last software update I did or what. Can anyone help?

  • Location of PhotoBooth files?

Can someone tell me where on my hard disk PhotoBooth stores the pictures that I took?
I know I can just grab a photo in PhotoBooth and drag it to the desktop (or somewhere else), but then it gets today's date stamp. I want them with the time and date that they were taken - and hey, they have to be somewhere in my user folder!

Gosh, it had to be simple!
(I had done a Spotlight search with "PhotoBooth", without the blank.)
    Thanks, Tony!

  • Batch capture incomplete and file loss

I'm having some annoying problems on Final Cut 5.1. Pretty much every time I perform a batch capture 1 file remains uncaptured - I definately always select them all, and usually when I select that file and do the batch capture again on the one file it works fine.
Also, especially on larger captured video files, sometimes when I restart the application it loses a captured video file, usually one of the ones that wasn't captured on the first run.
Can someone please help, its slowing down my work as I have to keep going over files again and recapturing them all the time.
    Thanks

Yes it is MAC OS extended, I heard this was the best option, was I wrong? Its USB 2 rather than firewire, is this not the right choice with a Mac? USB 2 drives always worked fine on my PC - I've only recently made the Mac crossover.
Yep. MAC OS EXTENDED - Good
    No. USB - Bad
While some do use it with success it is not recommended for video capture. Use FW 400 or 800. The way I understand, it's not a question of speed but of how information is delivered. USB sends in bursts while FW sends in a stead uninterrupted flow.
I think Studio X posted a good explanation of this recently. Might do a search here for more info.
So give FW a try... may not be the solution, but trying will eliminate that as a possibility and you're better off using FW anyway.

it is generating clinicalDocument.java in my case.

  • Incomplete magic file in apache package

    Hi,
The magic file (/etc/httpd/conf/magic) is far from complete. For example: jpeg and gif are defined, but png isn't. It describes actually just about 100 different file formats (grep -v ^# magic | sort | uniq | wc -l).
I came to this because my fresh mediawiki installation didn't allow me to upload png images. It took me a while to find out the problem, but it was fun. Just add the following line to /etc/httpd/conf/magic and png images aren't a problem anymore:
    # PNG images
    > 0 beshort 0x8950 image/png
    So, my problem is solved
But this hack fixes only this single case; the magic file still lacks a lot of other file formats. Before I switches to Arch, I used Gentoo, so I checked the magic file on my old Gentoo box. Surprisingly the magic files on Arch and Gentoo were exactly equal, but with Gentoo I never had this problem.
The magic file in /etc/httpd/conf is coming from mod_mime_magic, which uses an (very) old version of the magic file from the package called "file". I suppose that the Apache on Gentoo uses the (recent) magic file from the file package, while Arch uses the (old) magic file included in the apache package.
I came up to some questions:
    * Why not let apache use the recent (and maintained) magic file from the file package?
    * Why not dump the outdated (and not maintained) magic file from the apache packages?
Last edited by bart (2007-07-12 19:31:40)

    Found out a bit more..
Mediawiki has a function called detectMimeType() to find out the mimetype of a file.
First it tries to use finfo_file(). That function is in the CVS version of PHP only.
    Next it tries mime_content_type().
If mimecontent_type() fails, it falls back to getimagesize().
To use mime_content_type(), PHP has to be compiled with "--with-mime-magic". mime_content_type() uses independent of MIMEMagicFile in /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf the /etc/httpd/conf/magic file. Logical, because it is a PHP thing and has nothing to do with Apache. Thats why changing MIMEMagicFile in /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf to "/usr/share/misc/file/magic" doesn't work.
The PHP package for Arch is compiled with "--with-mime-magic", so thats why it uses the deprecated /etc/httpd/conf/magic . On my old Gentoo box it was compiled without, so Mediawiki falls back to getimagesize().
getimagesize() does much more than just figuring out the mimetype, but it knows somehow about PNG.

It seems as though your computer is setup to show only the basic
functionality in the palettes. You will want to switch it over to
showing the default set, which does contain a file delete function.
Changing the palette set is done differently in different versions of
LV. It might be in the edit menu, or if you have buttons at the top of
    th
e palette and the one on the right is a couple of dots arranged
vertically, then you can click on that. If these don't work, search the
help for palette sets or something similar.
Once found, the option will bring up a dialog which allows you to choose
between already constructed palette sets or construct your own. For
now, you simply need to select the default set and look in the file I/O
palette again. You will find an advanced button in the lower right, and
on that palette are functions for deleting and manipulating files on disk.

  • Incomplete file on Camileo P100

After a video recording session (about 1/2 hour), i saw that the video didn't show on cam.
I found a 1.3 GB file on the SD and I transfer it to my PC.
This is an incomplete MP4 file with good header but with no trailing information (no moov atom) as if the file went improperly closed by the cam.
    Firmware bug?
I tried to recover the file with some of the free program, having no success.
All other video, on the same SD, works fine.
Any idea to help me ?
    may thanks
    roberto

    hi,
this is not the first video, but is the longest.
Also in the cam I can't see the video, the cam simply "ignore" that file.
Maybe that the file is too big for the sd format (done by the cam) in order to add the moov atom section ?
Some numbers about the video (I used the cam with same settings also for other videos) : total length approx 30 minutes, full hd resolution, 30 frame/sec, audio 44Kh. The file is now 1.427.634.519 bytes.
I just expect an index portion of the video file of about 650/700 MB; and it, with the mdat portion of the file is more than 2GB.
I made some test on my cam with short video in order to check if the problem is related to improper use : e.g. turn off while in pause mode.
    *All videos are correct.*
    thanks for help !
