Inconsistency in PCA balance in 2009 to 2010

Hi All,
PCA year-end processing(t-code: 2KES), GL 123445 balance is not consistent in 2009 end and 2010 opening.
Please guide to solve the issue.

when run the one Gl balance (cash in hand balance sheet gl) from FS10N FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 2009, THE CLOSING BALANCE
IS SHOWING CORRECTLY BUT WHEN I SEE THIS FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 2010 THEN CARRYFORWARD BALANCE IS NOT

Could you please help me in sorting out this Issue.
Cumulative Balances in PCA Balance Sheet cube are not correct.
After doing a reconciliation my conclusions are:
Opening balance for 2005 (fiscal period 009.2005) is not in BW
Opening balance for 2006 (fiscal period 000.2006) is not in BW
Opening balance for 2008 (fiscal period 000.2008) is not in BW
Opening balance for 2009 (fiscal period 000.2009) is not in BW.
With the exception of fiscal year 2007(opening balance is in BW u2013 000.2007) the cumulative balance resets itself at the start of each fiscal year. The attached spreadsheet has an example of the data in BW and screen dumps from R3.
Please help me how to find Opening balance in BW for PCA

you need to derive your begining balance based on the fiscal year in your selection. It will be minus 1 year and period 12 for that year.

Sometimes they do work - i've done it before. I have a late 2008 Macbook Uni and used the install dvd of my 2009 Macbook White and it worked.
Why not just clone your hard drive? It'll save you a lot of time doing a clone rather than doing a clean install.
Unless you're having issues with your old set up or your old hard drive is dead.
You can download Carbon Copy Cloner - install your new hard drive in a external usb enclosure (around $10) and clone fromt here then test it before you install it in your Macbook.
Once you've done the swap, you can install your old hard drive in the USB enclosure and use it as a backup drive.

Also we are having Mac book pro's (Late 2009 & 2010) after upgrading them to 10.8.5. Unable to launch the mac, getting only white screen with apple icon.
Let me know is there any specific Hardware (Graphic Cards) we need to use for the same.
Please provide me the early solutions.

Hi, try this first...
Bootup holding CMD+r, or the Option/alt key to boot from the Restore partition & use Disk Utility from there to Repair the Disk, then Repair Permissions.

PCA Balance Carry Forward - Retained Earnings

In PCA, balance carryforward does 1. Zero's out balances in accounts with transaction types & books the net of each account to the beginning balance Transaction Type.
2. Zero's out all P&L accounts and records earnings to retained earnings account for each profit center except that it books retained earnings without Transaction Type and without Partner Profit Center. It does not do for any of the other items.
Can someone please expain why it is behaving like that? or is there a solution to get transaction type and Partner profit center populated with retained earnings account.

NIReport_Print LabWindows 2009 vs 2010

I have code complied under LabWindows 2009 that is working, but when I complie it under LabWindows 2010 it stops working.
I am trying to create pdfs using Adobe Distiller, functions like PrintPanel and PrintTextBuffer work in both 2009 and 2010. However,
NIReport_Print only works in 2009, if I try to print to Adobe. It works printing to a real printer.
I have attached the code the works and doesn't work.

^How to show difference between sales in year 2009 and 2010

Hi experts,
I am facing a problem in a BEx Query. I have to show the difference between the sales of two years. Let me be more specific..
I only have one keyfigure sales and only one characteristic year and I need the column difference.
year      sales      difference
2009      5000      -
2010      8000      3000
2011      9000      1000
Please can anybody explain me how to get this.

Hi Peter
There are various ways of getting the result you are going for.
1. If you are 100% locked to the way the data has to be shown - you can use CELLS.
a. start of making a strukture on year getting the years you need (in rows)
b. generate a structure with 1 the key figure "sales" and second a formula which equals zero
c. press Cells in your menubar and give all the combination of Sales and years a cell reference.
d. Create formulas in the combination of year/Formula=0 and just make the formula this years sales - last years sales.
This is a lot like Excel but also is'nt very handy for navigating and hence not a solution I normally would recomend
If you are not on the other hand restricted to the way it has to look I would generate 3 columns with restricted key figures.
1 with filter on Fiscal Year (0FISCYEAR) taking Current year and key figure sales
2 With filter on Fiscal Year taking Current year and an offset of -1 and key figure sales
3 Same and offset -2
Last I would make 2 formulas giving me the differences.
But as mentioned there are many ways of achieving your goal - maybe someone will have a better way

Ending balance of 2008 not equal to beginning balance of 2009

Would like to seek help in knowing the reason why the ending balance of 2008 is not equal to the beginning balance of 2009. I have checked the reports generated by FS10N, FS10, and s_alr_87012284 but same result/problem is displayed.

Difference between G/L Account Balance and PCA Balance

Friends,
After executing KE5T for the period 6 we are seeing a difference in the G/L a/c balance figures and the profit center figures for 2 balance sheet accounts. In one case the PCA balance figures are greater than the G/L a/c balance figures and vice versa in the 2nd case.
What is the procedure to be followed in such cases? Is there any standard program that can identify the postings that are causing the differences?

However, the note 126910 specifically mentions that it is not to be used for balance sheet account balances transferred to PCA using 1KEK.
Can you please advise about reconciling differences between PCA and balance sheet accounts.

FI - PCA Balance mismatch

Dear Experts,
There is a FI PCA mismatch. transaction posted in FI but not reflecting in PCA. The following is my scenario in production.
1. User create a Bal Sheet GL X1234 in Jul-2011
2. Did not inform to assign it to 3KEH
3. Posted a few transaction for the year ending 2010, in the special period 13-2010
4. Transaction posted as per # 3, the PCA document is generated
5. Execution of T-Code 2KES, now in Aug-2011, did not have any impact. The GL X1234 could not carry forward balance of 13-2010 nor visible in the list of Bal Sheet GLs in T-Code 2KES.
6. Assigned GL X1234 in 3KEH. Execute 2KES, but still no impact on PCA.
7. I even tried to post FI Doc manually to PCA thru T-Code 1KE8. But since, the PCA doc is already generated thru FI Doc, the system displays a message that "Document already posted".
Please help me how to correct this mismatch, so that the transactions start reflecting in PCA reports and FI=PCA.

We already tried 1KEL, 9KE0 and 1KE8, but non could work, because the PCA Docs are already created while postings FI Docs. The concern here is, amounts are not reflecting in PCA reports S_ALR_87013336.
Line items could not be found in KE5Z.

PCA Balance Sheet Planning and reporting

After entering planning data for liabilities in PCA, the data does not show in the interactive report for balance sheet accounts. But if you drill down the data is there. Does anyone know why the total does not appear in the summarised position before drilling down? This is specifically for Liabilities.

I checked the Totals Records and Line Items using tx code KEE0. The system reports that they are in sync. I then used a different planning layout to enter the data and it is now populating the report at summary level. I checked the initial layout I used. It was a custom-made layout copied from a standard one and amended to allow the users to enter the data per period. The lead column is the account number which has the hierarchy and variable parameters set to on. The other columns are the individual periods from 1 to 12. It is also used to upload planning data from Excel. What could be wrong with the planning layout?

Such inconstistency occurs often, if GL posting has occured after changing that GL often. You may try for following notes :
970096 , 1021174 , 1029639 , 1005736.
