Inconsistency in SLD
Hi,
How to find the inconsistencies in SLD Technical landscape.
We have received the comments that there are some inconsistencies in SLD. The following technical systems must be registered in SLD and must refer to the same domain:
Adapter Engine
Domain
Integration Directory
Integration Repository
Integration Server
RWB
Kindly let me know how to find the inconsistencies?
Hi Sunil,
When i do a SLDCHECK in PROD ECC it shows
Exchange Infrastructure: Test LCR Connection
RFC destination SAPSLDAPI does not exist
=> Create the RFC destination by using transaction SM59!
Summary: Connection to SLD does not work
=> Check SLD function and configurations
Now checking access to the XI Profile
RFC destination LCRSAPRFC does not exist
=> Create the RFC destination by using transaction SM59!
In the integration directory --> Environment --> we have only cache status overview and Clear SLD data cache.
When i click on Cache status overview all the instance are in green color.

CPALookupException Couldn't retrieve outbound binding
Hi gurus,
We're working on our test environment and we have a strange error:
com.sap.aii.af.ra.ms.api.ConfigException: ConfigException in XI
protocol handler. Failed to determine a receiver agreement for the
given message. Root cause:
com.sap.aii.af.service.cpa.impl.exception.CPALookupException: Couldn't
retrieve outbound binding for the given P/S/A values:
FP=;TP=;FS=BS_XIT_IT_ADYCLNT100;TS=BS_XIT_IT_INCAS_VALDOBBIADENE;AN=MI_AnagrArticoli_IN;ANS=http://goldenlady.it/it/Incas/I03/AnagrArticoli001
The receiver agreement and the other objects in the scenario exist and
work properly in the development scenario, while in the test system we
have this error. Looking at the cache of the test XI system we can see
all the configuration objects, also the receiver agreements that we
need.
We have already refreshed all the caches and also restarted the java
instance but the problem still remains...
By the way, we noticed a strange behaviour because the log files about
this errors are written not in the folder that refers to the test
system (XIT) but in the one that refers to the development system
(XID). Could this be a problem connected to our errors?
We suppose that the adapter frameworks looks in the wrong CPACache (the development instead of the test one).
Points rewards good answers
MattiaHi,
Please do the following it will solve the problem:
Prerequisites:
check the correctness of configuration of your scenario at your end.
Please do the following:
1) Check destination INTEGRATION_DIRECTORY_HMI in SM59. Does it returns a HTTP status of 500 with reqid not found. It means RFC is working fine.
2) http://xihostname:port/CPACache/refresh?mode=full
with PIAFUSER and check whether it shows the correct output or not. Extremely important: check whether the authorization error is there or not for services users.
3) Check the services in SAP XI in visual admin
4) Reimport of SAP Basis content is done properly or not.
5) If possible try to restart the J2EE server.
6) Also check the inconsistency of SLD using SAP note no:
764176
Hope it will solve your problem.
Thanks & Regards

XI HA help: SLD inconsistent data, RWB component monitoring show abnornally
Hello guru,
I have installed XI HA on HPUX Service Guard and Oracle 10g. two nodes: xiprd1("CI"), xiprd2(DI). one package: dbPXI(DB, NFS), one pcakge: wdscsPXI(Web Dispatcher, ASCS, SCS),
XI version: 7.0 SP11
I followed note 951910 to configure HA. but SLD show inconsistent entries, I don't know what is the correct entries should show in SLD? it should be two integration servers, two Integration Repository from two nodes, or only one from Web dispatcher?
Thanks a lot if you can send me an email, do a screenshooting about the successfully go-live XI HA SLD screenshooting.
Thanks a lotHi Barry Neaves
could you please tell me how many entries in your SLD->exchange infrasturcture.
I don;t know what XI SLD should looks like in HA enviorment, some times it shows me 2 different integration server & domain, some times only one, that's appreciated if you could send me the screen shot, thank you

<br>
I don't know what is wrong.<br>
I have configured:<br>
- SLDCHECK work properly,<br>
- none of the users PI* type not lock,<br>
- password to the PI* users in exchangeProfile entered correctly,<br>
- In VA in the JCo RFC Provider I have properly configure: AI_RUNTIME_JCOSERVER, LCRSAPRFC, SAPSLDAPI_SID - from the ABAP I can connect to this programs ID<br>
- In VA in SLD Data Supplier I have properly configure bookmarks HTTP Settings and CIM Client Generation Settings. CIMClient Test is OK<br>
<br>
I do not know what else I can see, what else I have properly configured ... I looked at the notes:: 936093 jak i 721548...<br>
<br>
<br>
2. I can't send data from XI to SLD, ie makes me a system definition in Web As Abap and Web as Java but nothing appear to me in Exchange Infrastructure. Exchange Infrastructure is empty - what is wrong??<br>
I carried out the recommendation by 764176 and 1031321 notes<br>
<br>
I restart below applications (no effect)...<br>
com.sap.xi.directory (Integration Builder/Configuration)<br>
com.sap.aii.af.app (Adapter Engine)<br>
com.sap.xi.rwb (Runtime Workbench)<br>
com.sap.xi.repository (Integration Builder/Design)<br>
<br>
Can I ask for help and guidance in these topics?<br>
<br>
Regards<br>
RP<br>I increased logging in the NWA (Configuration -> Log Configuration) - and increased the some things here to log ALL. So that from the NWA (Monitoring -> Logs and Traces) I see a little more information (but does not follow that with which the user is a problem).<br>
<br>
Here are some interesting logs ...<br>
I was most rash or irritation of those that say about the lack of credentials u2013 I must use Viusal Administrator and set good service ...<br>
<br>
What do I have done:<br>
In the Visual Administrator -> Cluster -> Server -> Services -> SLD Data Supplier<br>
I have set in the HTTP Settings tab the host and port SLD, the user name and password is also entered as it is in the SLD. To be sure, already have set for the user entered here such roles as:<br>
SAP_SLD_ADMINISTRATOR<br>
SAP_SLD_CONFIGURATOR<br>
SAP_SLD_DEVELOPER<br>
SAP_SLD_GUEST<br>
SAP_SLD_ORGANIZER<br>
Maybe we are talking in this place about a different user?<br>
<br>
Similarly, when it comes to tab CIM Client Generation Settings - here's all the same thing done. CIMClient test shows that everything is OK.<br>
When I click the button: This trigger the transfer of data to the SLD gets the message that everything was shipped correctly. Indeed, I received an instance of JAVA in SLD<br>
Also clicked on this icon: Assign application roles to user group - got information that everything is attached properly.<br>
<br>
By ABAP side, the connections: INTEGRATION_DIRECTORY_HMI, SAPSLDAPI, LCRSAPRFC, AI_RUNTIME_JCOSERVER and AI_DIRECTORY_JCOSERVER work correctly, ie I can perform the test - which means that programs ID are properly positioned in JCO Provider in VA.<br>
<br>
Puzzling is this message:<br>
The SLD data is inconsistent.<br>
<br>
Strange also that the message (from the ABAP everything is available in SMGW no errors):<br>
Connect to SAP gateway failed<br>
<br>
And what is this error:<br>
<br>
could not sync ExchangeProfile: <br>

Integration engine: Inconsistent roles and problem with communication chann
Hi,
I am troubled with this error for last 1 week.
please help me with this:
Inconsistent roles. System Landscape: Application System. SXMSGLOBAL: Integration Server.I have checked in SXMB_ADM in Integration Engine Congiguration, some entery is there but not sure what is wrong.
And in my communication channel monitoring, my communication channel for simple file to file transfer is also giving some error:
Error Attempt to process file failed with com.sap.aii.af.ra.ms.api.ConfigException: Some of the IS access information is not available. SLDAcess property may be set to true, but SLD is not available
Are above two errors interrelated?
Because when I try Cache connectivity test:
Everything is in green except Integration Server ABAP
Guys pleas help this isse has really taken a long time and I havn't got any way to work this out.

Technical system in SLD for Exchange Infrastructure prod entry deleted
Hello,
Technical system in SLD for Exchange Infracture does not have any entries.
Integration server entry is also not existing.
adapter engine,domain,integration server,integration directory,integration repository,rwb do not exists.
My main concern is there is no entry for Integration Server - how can I get back this entry . I restarted J2EE engine from NWA but still I am not able to see Integration server entry under Exchange Infrastructure technical system.
I also did RZ70 but no use.
Please suggest.Hi
One of the steps, when applying note #764176, is to delete all 6 of these entries in the SLD. So deleting the entries is not a big problem. These entries should be automatically created when you have successfully completed all the steps in note #764176. So, I'd recommend to apply all steps in this note.
Also, ensure the system is consistently patched i.e. ABAP, Java and XI components must be on the same SP level. An inconsistently patched system is another possible cause of this error.
What happens when you run the SLDCHECK transaction? Do you see errors here?

PI7.0: SLD - Technical System of type "Exchange Infrastructure"
Hi Guys,
The adapter engine was empty in the integration directory and as part of it i followed the steps in the sap note - 764176 Error in XI due to inconsistency in the sld. I did the following steps
1. Switch to "Home" in the "Technical Landscape" view, and select the
"Exchange Infrastructure" technical system type there. Select all
domains and XI components for the host and delete these by selecting
them and pressing 'Remove'.
2. Restart the J2EE server. After you restart the server, the XI
components log on to the SLD again and create a new entity of class
"XI Integration Server".
3. To register the directory and repository again, you must also log on
to the two tools.
I have restarted the j2ee server and looged into the IR and ID but they are not automatically registered in the central sld.
central sld is on solmanger box. How to register IR, ID, RWB and central adapter engine under the technical systems of type exchange infrastructure ?
any help would be really appreciated
Thanks,
RajHi Reddy,
i faced the same problem few days back...
check this link
/people/venugopalarao.immadisetty/blog/2007/03/15/adapter-engine-cannot-be-found-in-integration-directory
and also cross-check the post installation steps.
In my case the Business system for XI was created of type web as java... but it should be of type web as abap.

Shadow Instance Left Behind in SLD After Using SUM
Hello,
Is there a standard procedure for removing the SLD information left behind by the creation of shadow ABAP instances when using SUM to update or upgrade systems? Should SUM have some final step for this built in, or should the update instructions include a step to go into SLD and delete the shadow instance information manually?
My situation is as follows. I recently updated the support package stack for my Solution Manager 7.1 system from sps4 to sps12 using SUM (this was for a new installation of Solution Manager). Afterwards, I used SOLMAN_SETUP to perform the System Preparation and Basic Configuration steps, and now I have progressed to Managed System Configuration. The first managed system to configure is Solution Manager itself, and in working on the SolMan ABAP instance, in step 6, 'Enter Landscape Parameters,' I noticed that there is an extra ABAP instance, DVEBMGS03, showing up as a landscape object node. I was puzzled for a bit about this, as there is no instance 03 in my SolMan system, only 00, 01, and 02. Eventually I figured out that SOLMAN_SETUP gets this landscape information from the obvious place, LMDB, which in turn gets it from SLD, and sure enough in LMDB and SLD I can find the "AppServer 03" instance defined.
That's when the light bulb hit. SUM creates a shadow ABAP instance when updating the support package stack (unlike using SPAM), similar to as it does during an upgrade. It deletes the shadow instance at the end of the update, but in the meantime the system has synchronized itself to SLD, and now SLD has a definition for that shadow instance that doesn't go away when the instance is deleted.
It's easy enough to manually delete it in SLD, of course, but that leads me to wonder if there's a preferred option for handling this other than manual manipulation of SLD data.
The version of SUM I used was 1.0 sp11 pl9.
Regards,
MattThat's right, although for a support pack update, I'm not sure if the jobs even get suspended. In the past, when doing this with SPAM, there was no shadow instance to worry about, so it wasn't an issue. In upgrades, when there typically is a shadow instance, things are much more "shut down" in the system (jobs suspended, etc) than is often the case with support pack updates (though perhaps those should be just as much "shut down").
So in future I will definitely keep an eye out for it. Stopping the data supplier should be added to the tool and/or listed as a manual step in the guide to prevent inconsistent landscape and software component data from being replicated (or perhaps it already is and I missed it). I'm going to tag Boris Rubarth to get his take on it, as he is a key player in the development and maintenance of the SUM tool.
Deleting the extra instance in SLD was very easy, and I watched it replicate to LMDB very quickly, and it immediately disappeared upon refresh from the managed system configuration tool. However, it later showed up in diagnostics agent administration, as well, as a warning about a system path not being reachable by the agent (it was trying to reach \usr\sap\SID\DVEBMGS03, which doesn't exist), and so I had to edit the agent landscape paths to remove that as well).
Although the problem is long since solved in my system, as described above, I will keep the question open for a few more hours to see what Boris or others may have to add.

1. In Solution Manager's SLD - Technical System - Exchange Infrastructure - Only one Technical System is Coming for Integration Server.
while
IN Old Local SLD - Technical System - Exchange Infrastructure - 6 different tecnical system was coming ( Integration Server/ RWB / Integration Engine / Adapter Engine ...etc)
Can this be the reason ????????

Hi,
I have question regarding SLD CIM. I have two SLD which I am tranporting the SLD content.
For target SLD the CIM model version is lower than the Source SLD CIm Model.
While doing import it has given two warning, but allowed me to import.
That wanring is about Data inconsistency. I would like to know what kind of implications may happen in this case and how to resolve them.
Thanks,
Srinivasfrom http://service.sap.com/swdc via the path
Support Packages and Patches->SAP Technology Components ->SAP CR CONTENT
download CR contents
then upload via: SLD -> Administration -> Import
I believe that there are two update here, they should be in sequence. Not sure if you have wrong sequence or not.
Regards.

SLD Crash - Customer w/o backup
At a customerproject no backup procedure was implemented ( not my call ) for the central SLD (implemented on a Solution manager system 7.00 )
As one could expect the system crashed and the SLD could not be restored, but
all sw components and tech.sys/buss.sys has to be created again manually.
But the new components, although created with the same names, all gets a new GUID - so the connection to the sw objects imported into the XI repository are completely lost. If you try to import from SLD - you actually get new empty components with the exact same name - but with new GUID's - along side the original ones.
Is there any easy way reconnect your XI repository objects to the right SLD sw components? ( before I start the cumbersome task of transfering all objects one by one to the new sw components )
txh and best regards
Bjarne KristiansenHi Stefan
Thx for answering.
I did figure out how to update the GUID in the SWCV content - but found it to risky and possibly inconsistent, just to update manually - one by one.
I also tried to experiment with the migration tools ( complete export/imports ) -
but it did'nt do the trick - So we ended up reinstalling and recreating the repository and directory.
best regards

How to register an Integration Server with an SLD?
In my SLD I can see:
- Adapter Engine
- Integration Directory
- Integration Repository
- RWB
But the Integration Server is not there.
I have tried:
- Restarting the PI 7 system
- OSS Note 764176 (Error in XI due to inconsistent SLD contents)
- Registering to the SLD using the Visual Administrator and RZ70
Any ideas?
Thanks.HI Paul,
Just check in Integration repository whiole creating the Communication channel for File Adapter
Are you able to see the entry for Adapter Engine as--integration Server as shown in the Blog OR missing that???
If you are missing that means you need to implement that Blog which i provided
If you just want to create the Integration Server in Sld means , follow this
