Inconsistent Edge Animate with IE

The site works perfectly in chrome. In IE 9, 10, and 11 the Edge Animate assets load inconsistently. Sometimes they show and sometimes they don't when refreshing the page.
v7.1, Build 329, CL778884
AIR Runtime: 3.9.0.1390

Muse CC does not display Edge Animate with Audio

I am learning to use Edge Animate. I created an animation consisting of an image of a large rock concert. I added animation to create multiple flashbulbs like you see at concerts, and placed it in Muse. Worked great! Then I went back and added audio of cheering fans. It previews fine in Animate CC, but when I place it in Muse I just get a screen with nothing on it. If I back out the animation, it shows and plays fine. What am I doing wrong?

How to create a Lightbox in Edge Animate with Preloader

Hi guys, please am new in a lot of stuff in edge animate but I need some help. I want to create a lightbox containing image slider (loading from an external image folder) but I want the images to be preloaded first then edge displays the slider for a smooth experience. Or is it that Edge preloads all assets before playing the website if of course I use the inbuilt preloader built within edge. I often assume that the preloader built into edge might not include the image slider i intend to load externally.(Please correct me if am wrong). Still struggling with a Edge. Assistance with a small sample file will help. I learn fast that way. Thanks

Using Edge Animate with Captivate

I'd like to use Edge Animate to do some animation work and then bring this in to captivate. Is there any way to do this?
I'm very new to all this, so not to sure the best methodology to use to add some interactive elements into Captivate. Right now I'm using custom illustrations designed in Illustrator that I want to make interactive and animated in Captivate.

Okay, It looks like using the Adobe Captivate App Packager is the way to go in order to get an Edge Animation into Captivate http://helpx.adobe.com/captivate/using/captivate-app-packager.html.
My issue is that I can't seem to select the adobe edge animation (either the project file or the published web folder) from the Adobe Captivate App Packager.
Has anyone succesfully done this and willing to share their wisdom

How to make responsive Edge Animate with elements aligned in the middle?

Hi,
I wanted to create a responsive hero slideshow using Edge Animate. It will have a 100% width and max-height of 500px. However, I wanted that the other elements will stay in the middle of the slideshow and not be anchors to either corners - as what is selectable in Animate.
My aim to to achieve something similar to Slider Revolution Responsive jQuery Plugin » Slider Revolution Responsive WordPress Plugin Slider Revolution.
Anyone have any idea how to go about this? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Why can't I buy Edge Animate with out the bundle?

Last month during my trial it was advertised that Edge Animate could be purchased for 14.99/mo. But now when I tried to buy the app I was told by the sales rep that I would have to purchase the entire cloud bundle. What gives?

Greetings! I know this is an old post, but I have a similar question. I undertsand that it is not possible to buy Edge Animate as a single app, and I am willing to subscribe to the CC. But see, I already have an active subscription for Photoshop, Premiere and Captivate. (Ps and Pr are included in the CC, right?) So my question is: How do i proceed? Because I want to pay a subscription that includes 2 apps that I'm already paying every month.

Integrating External JQUERY code with Edge Animate

There are two ways i can see of integrating Edge Animate With External JQuery
Something happens within Adobe edge and triggers something to happen externally or vice versa.....
1: When an action is performed (mouseUp MouseOver... etc...) we can initiate some external Jquery
For example
When I "mouseUp" my play button i run the function "playPause()" and my audio starts to play

So this is fine... i perform an action in Adobe Edge and something external to the composition occurs, in this case it connects to a live stream of audio and the user gets the desired result.
2:When an event occurs in external Jquery (playing, connection lost, audio not ready... etc...) we can perform an action within Adobe Edge
For example
When the audio stream is playing and the user is definatly hearing music i need to perform an action within Adobe Edge like "sym.$("playButton").hide();" which hides the play button because obviously there is no need to click play anymore when the music is already playing..
This is were my Jquery understanding ends..
Questions:
1: Where do i put global code within my Adobe Edge composition that triggers actions when external jQuery returns an event
2: How do i go about coding this...

The above code used to be within a player.js file that i called into edge, As you have recomended to me i have moved this code to within edge...
When i try to play the stream i get the following error from the console "Javascript error in event handler! Event Type = element"
It is refering to edge.3.0.0.min.js
In a bit stuck now as to why it is not working....
This error is usually generated when the scripts are not talking to each other so im guessing it should be an easy one for you guys as my knowledge of jquery is not great!

Using CSS animations in Edge Animate without .js

Is it possible to use edge animate with only css transitions and effects. I do not want to have these .js files for animation and only want to draw and animate in css. Is this possible?

Ask in the Edge forum, but I would simply assume no. CSS3 animation support is different and inconsistent across browsers, so the only way to get predictable results is actually jQuery animation.

Adobe Edge Animate Cloud installation not recognized by Adobe Application Manager

I installed Adobe Edge Animate with a direct download from the website. In order to have it be recognized by Adobe Application Manager, I trashed the App and downloaded it again through the Adobe Application Manager and installed it. After restarting the computer, the Adobe Application Manager still does not recognize the app and it is listed as "Install" Please advice as how to make Adobe Application Manager recognize Adobe Edge Animate so it is listed a "Up to date"?

I don't think your problem has anything to do with you downloading Edge Animate directly from the website. I setup all Creative Cloud programs through Adobe Application Manager on a clean-installed Mac. Everything looked good for a few months but now Edge Animate and Touch Plug-in Apps always show as "Install" in Application Manager. I installed both like 3 times using the application manager (even though I already had them installed) and that made no difference either. I think problem lies in the application manager. Maybe some Application Manager update that was supposed to fix another issue caused this bug. I'm hoping Adobe is aware of this and working on a fix. While it's purely a cosmetic problem, it's quite annoying to see apps already installed showing up as not installed.

How long will Edge animate keeps free?

The description in the official document is not clear. I was wondering how long (until when) will this software kept free? They mentioned that the free licence will never expire, is that means that since I am alreay a member in this project and I have already installed a Edge Animate with free licence, I can use it forever (even be able to update in the future)?

The version you have will not "time out" at the promotional price of $0. This, however, does not mean that all versions of Animate will remain free, so upgrades are not assured at the promotional price.

Flash Timeline Animation to Edge Animate CC?

I have a client with an old Flash CS4 Presentation file that uses Forms and Slides and they want to update their presentation to HTML. I am not concerned about the presentation functionality or shell as my developer will create a new one... But, the presentation contains a bunch of timeline animations that demo their product.
I don't want to export the animations out using the Canvas tag, or as a movie or image sequence.
I am new to Edge, but I am thinking this is the solution for the animations.
Is there a way to export/import these Flash timeline animations into Edge? Or even, at the very least, import the assets into Edge?

What kind of animations do you have? If you have scenes in Flash you can reproduce that in Edge Animate with symbols. For small animations like a runner for example you can create a spritesheet with Flash and use it in Animate. You will have to use the clip tool and display on/off to set it up. Rigth now it takes several tools to go from Flash to Animate but Animate is quite adequate to reproduce what was done in Flash.

Edge animate not starting corectly in Win 8.1

This is the screen when Edge Animate starts up after I have attempted to set stage size which initially appear without any dimensions!
Sometimes I only get the following:
I have re-installed and the same thing occurs. I am installing this through the Adobe Creative Cloud app. I have other Adobe products installed the same way and have had no other problems.
Any ideas what may be causing this behaviour?

Have changed C:\Users\Your User Name\AppData\Roaming\Adobe and renamed the Edge Animate folder to Old Edge Animate with no effect.
I have run TCPview and checked that port 54321 is not being used, although I have never got that particular error message mentioned in the article.
I rebooted and ran Edge Animate and got to the following non-responsive screen. The only option is to close the program.
