Inconsistent input parameter

Hi
I am seeing the following error when trying to use the "Display Data" menu option on an Infocube: "Inconsistent input parameter (parameter: i_sid, value 0)".
I have created about the simplest Infocube that I know of to try to resolve this, with OCalDay in the Time dimension, a simple custom SKU Characteristic in Dimension 1, and only one Key Figure. I have loaded only one record into the InfoCube, and the corresponding SKU and 0CalDay objects are populated with data (and it appears to hold referential integrity.
I do not have anything within the Unit dimension. Do I need something? What can I put in as a dummy?
But if Unit is not a problem, any other ideas why I am seeing this error?

Hi,
During the creation of keyfigure, did you mention anything under Currency/Unit of Measure. If you have mentioned any fixed currency there, then while creating transformation in Rule details of that keyfigure, under Currency, you mentiond fixed currency and No Conversion.
This should solve the issue.

(I know, the answer is a year late, but at least it will be documented for the future: i've recently had the same error in my system)
I have debugged the problem and found that the exception happens somewhere after Include LRSDRC_INFOCUBEF06, form BASIC_QUERY_DATA_GET_ROLAP and PERFORM check_for_request0.
You can also get this error if you execute the transaction LISTCUBE for the Infocube, or if you click on "display data" in the context menu of an InfoCube in RSA1.
The reason for the problem seems to be the missing "initial" record in the InfoObject "REQUID".
This InfoObject tracks all the requests/data packages in your BW system, and usually has the similar contents:

However, if the initial record with SID = 0 is missing, you may get the described error.
The problem can be fixed by adding this record to two tables:
(example for adding this record from the DB2 SQL interpreter; syntax may be slightly different with other DB platform)
insert into "/BI0/SREQUID" values ('',0,'X','X','X')
insert into "/BI0/RREQUID" values (0,'')
(NOTE: the '' are two single quotes without any value between them, and not the double quote mark )

I have a question. When I load my data from a DSO to a infocube it loads succesvol. But when i try to look at the data in the infocube I get the error "Inconsistent input parameter (Parameter: i_sid, value 0). Does someone know the solution to this problem.

in my company we have performed SAP B1 upgrade from 2007A to 8.81 PL07, in two steps upgrading first to PL04.
Everything is working fine for all our clients, we are able to post and work normally with the system.
The only annoying problem is an error message coming up every minute for every client in the log:

I couldn't find anything regarding this topic in the forum, only one similar post but unanswered.
We are using two server: one for the licence server and one for the database (the database server is clustered)
Does anyone have any idea about this? Has it ever happened to anybody?

Hi Julie,
it must be a triggered action from the system. The only problem is that log files grow very big, few mb every day, and it is a situation that's not very ideal. And also i don't want to turn them off because it is always a good resource for other errors.
It is very strange that SAP hasn't noticed this behaviour and there isn't any note available for the purpose.

Did you check to see if the KB Hunter posted resolves the issue?
If you're opening a project in a newer version of LabVIEW, then there's a chance the mass compile tool might work. It will open and save all of the VIs within a specified folder. The tool is fairly self-explanatory, and you can access it from within LabVIEW by going to "Tools --> Advanced --> Mass Compile..."

Crystal Report with text(csv) data file, can we set it as input parameter?

Hi,
I am a new user of Crystal Reports 2008.
I have created a report with charts in it. The input data comes from a csv text file.
Can I set the name of this text file as an input parameter?
as I need to generate 44 similar reports with different text filenames(and data)?

I did exactly what you said.
Just to see any change, I first gave a bad report file name just to see if I am accidentally pointing to a different file,
but I got an error saying report not found.
Then I renamed my original datafile name and generated a report and it still generated one without giving an error.
Then I also gave a junk name to the logoninfo and printed that name, the new name was assigned to logoninfo, but the code did not error out.
It ended up generating the report.
Now here is what I think is happening,
1) The save data in report option seems to be still on even though I have turned it off in 2 locations
a) file -> Report Options
b) file -> Options -> Reporting tab.
2) For some reason the logoninfo is getting ignored as well.
Since I did not see any answers yesterday I posted a link to this thread on the .Net forum

and Ludek Uher says that I am connecting to the text file via a DAO database engine and so need to use the same code for changing the text file as for changing an Access database.
But the link he gave me tells me to try the same thing that we have been trying..
Here is my plan,
1) I will first try and find out why my save data with report option is still on ( but it shows off in Crystal ).
2) why is LogonInfo getting ignored.
Meanwhile any suggestions from anyone are welcome.

want to show the default input parameter dialog box. Under any case,
user should not see the ugly parameter dialog box that crystal
presents. Please suggest me how I can achieve
this. I cannot do this through code, because our environment does
not allow that. I have to do this in crystal reports viewer and
by setting some property of the crystal report object. But everything
must be done on UI, not through code. So, the solution should not be the following.

Hi Murtaza,
Unfortunately, I am not aware of any method to suppress the prompt for the input parameters, but still use them. It is truly a design-related issue for the report. The reason that the prompt appears is because the parameter it is prompting for is used in the report; in particular either the Group or Record Selection, or referenced in another formula.
The only way I can think of to not show the prompt, is to not use the parameter in the report. You did mention that you are setting the value of the parameter inside of the report -- are you doing this through using a formula? Perhaps you can just remove the parameter and only use the formula that you are setting the default values with.

Passing multiple values to a single input parameter

I have a Microstrategy query successfully passing input parameter to a calculation view. For example I can pass a movement type to a material movements calculation view input parameter. However if I try to pick more than one movement type the query then fails;
Generated SQL that works looks like this;

Ravi, also to answer one of your questions about how this will work in Microstrategy; I just heard back from my Microstrategy developer and he is trying MSTR Freeform SQL query with syntax like this;
select (sumPAR_TEST.TOTALQUANTITY TOTALQUANTITY
from "_SYS_BIC"."MyPackage/CA_TEST_PASS_PARAMETER"
('PLACEHOLDER' =('$$MoveType$$', '[Movement Type]')) PAR_TEST
In this example [Movement Type] is the microstrategy prompt. Unfortunately though it translates like this which is missing extra single quotes around each value;
select     sum(PAR_TEST.TOTALQUANTITY) TOTALQUANTITY
from     "_SYS_BIC"."development.pr1959/CA_TEST_PASS_PARAMETER"
('PLACEHOLDER' = ('$$MoveType$$', ''101', '102''))   PAR_TEST
instead of what we need which is;
('PLACEHOLDER' = ('$$MoveType$$', '''101'', ''102'''))   PAR_TEST
So at this point we are not sure if this will be possible or not.

The input parameter is a date value.
As per the syntax for dbms_job.submit procedure;

How can I pass dynamic value as a user input parameter in discoverer?

I have a requirement for a discoverer report like this: The report will display only details for Suppliers that have expired (or soon to be) Insurance details. That is the Expiration Date is less than or equal to the day the report is being run plus any days specified in the Number of Days in the Future Parameter.
The sample code as:

All you need to do is to create the condition in the discoverer instead of in the query.
Create a custom folder containing the following sq (note that i removed the condition)l:

Then create a discoverer report using this folder using all fields.
Create a new calculation as (use this exact syntax):
Sysdate + :No_of_Days_in_the_Future
Create a new condition:

To complete it add a sort as you did in the SQL.
That's it.

jsp:useBean call a property IssueData. this property exist in

Input Parameter Mapping is not working in Sap HANA

Hi, We created on ANALYTICAL view(A) with Input Parameters, on top of Analytical view created one Calculation view(B) and mapped Calculation view input parameter with Analytical view input paramter and its working fine. Finally we created one more calculation view on top existing calculation view(B) and mapped with corresponding input parameters. Input parameter mapping is working fine in between A(analytical view) and --------> B (first Calc view) but input parameter mapping is not working properly in between B(first Calc View)-----------C(second Calc View). it is giving all data whatever is coming from Calc View B. Kindly help us to resolve this.

Error while setting input parameter for dynamic process - GP

I am using CAF 7.1 GP.
Here I have to start a process dynamically and it is working fine.
But, when I tried to set value for input parameter of this process by

( <b>Val</b> is the name of grouped input parameter ), it is giving

But no where I have mentioned http://wwww.sap.com/nw/eup/gp.
I dont have any structures in my input and output.

The problem was, I have to make the input parameter as exposed. Thats all
