Inconsistent scehduling-Time zone of Delivering Plant is difft than Ship To

Hi Guys,
Iam getting Inconsistent scehduling due to Time zone of Delivering Plant is different  than Ship To.
example Plant is in China UTC+8 and Ship To is in US EST (UTC-6).
The MAD date is coming after confirmed delivery date.
Any inputs. help is highly appreciated.
Thanks,
kumar

Kumar,
You say that
I am getting Inconsistant scheduling due to Time zone of Delivering Plant is different than Ship To. example Plant is in China UTC+8 and Ship To is in US EST (UTC-6).
Does this mean that the same type of shipment works differently from order to order, or the only problem you have is with the sequencing of MAD and GI date?
The implementation of the solution depends on which APO [Scheduling technique|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_scm70/helpdata/EN/05/f8923945b12c4de10000000a114084/frameset.htm] you are using to schedule the GI date.  There is quite a bit of discussion of this matter in [OSS note443500|https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/443500] and related notes.

  • Time Zone issues in Global Instance

    Hi,
Can someone give best practice in addressing issues in Global instance due to change in date & time.
    Say
    1) A user is in America and system time zone is GMT
    2) Order screen: sched ship date shown based on user preference as GMT-5hrs. Say it is 30-Jun-2008 7:30 pm
    3) However, in the back end the data is stored as 1-Jul-2008 12:30 AM
    4) This certainly seems to have an impact to standard date fields.
    5) This also seems to have impact on effectivity dates which don't have timestamp. Eg, pricelist effectivity end date = 30-Jun-2008. The pricelist becomes ineffective at 7 PM EST because of system time zone being GMT.
Any pointers to address such issues, would be of great help.
    Thanks.

    Hi,
below is an answer from Oracle on similar issue regarding timezones:
Oracle E-Business Suite version 11i10 or higher
1 Oracle RDBMS 9i or higher
2 The database must be configured to use the time zone file
'timezlrg.dat' rather than the 'timezone.dat' file
3 The database must be started in the standard corporate time zone
4 Profile 'Server Timezone' (SERVER_TIMEZONE_ID) must be set at the Site
level, and must be set to the same standard corporate time zone as the
    database
5 Profile 'Client Timezone' (CLIENT_TIMEZONE_ID) must be set at the user
    level
6 Profile 'Enable Timezone Conversions' (ENABLE_TIMEZONE_CONVERSIONS)
must be set to 'Yes' ('Y') at the Site level.
7 Profile 'Concurrent: Multiple Time Zones' (CONC_MULTI_TZ) should be
set to 'No' (N) at the Site level
8 Environment variable FORMS60_APPSLIBS must be set in the Forms tier
(this has always been a requirement for 11i)
9 Forms must be launched through the Personal Home Page or Navigate portlet

  • Country of Delivering Plant is not showing in Sales Order Pricing Analysis

    Hello All,
I have created a new condition table with the field Country of Delivering Plant (KOMK-WKCOU).
But in the sales order pricing analysis this field is not fetching the country of the plant (it is showing the Yellow color exclamation icon).
This is  a standard field, I am not able to understand why it is not fetching this field.
I have used the same field for tax condtions in my previous projects as well, there it worked well.
Even I have activated the KOMK structure in SE11 also, but still the same problem.
Can anybody tell me how to resolve this issue.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Sreehari.

    Rightly suggested by Shiva.
As plant determines at item level.
So, instead of KOMK-WKCOU, field should append in KOMP.
FYI, for checking any inconsistency in condition table, you can use TCode VK+C.

  • SSRS time zone is off on lync reports

On one of my east coast servers I changed it to the east coast time zone (it was on pacific since it was put in service) and now I get the red text on the reports page letting me know:
An error happened because the time zone of SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) is inconsistent with the time zone of the call detail recording (CDR) database (time zone of SSRS : Eastern Standard
Time, CDR database : Pacific Standard Time).
I have tried to right-click on and execute the stored procedure that supposedly fixes this for both the cdr and qoe DBs but when I do so it returns this:
Msg 547, Level 16, State 0, Procedure RtcClearTimeZoneInfo, Line 6
The DELETE statement conflicted with the REFERENCE constraint "FK_DaylightSavingYears_1". The conflict occurred in database "QoEMetrics", table "dbo.DaylightSavingYears", column
    'TimeZone'.
    The statement has been terminated.
    (1 row(s) affected)
     The problem is not resolved...

    got error about
    DaylightSavingYears , when used LYNC
resolved with MICROSOFT TICKET with this workround :
There are two issues which prevent the successful execution of the stored procedure in Lync 2013.
There is now a foreign key constraint between the DaylightSavingYears table and the TimeZones table which prevents the TimeZones table from being cleared first.
There is now a trigger associated with the TimeZoneConfiguration table which requires there always be exactly one row in the table.

A Plant becomes a Delivering Plant onlt if it is assignned to combination of Sales Organization and Distribution Channel. As suggested in earlier response maintain the configuration appropriately.
Enterprise Structure Configuration (SD view point):
    Enterprise Structure:
    1. Maintaining Sales Organization
Sales Organization is an organizational unit responsible for the sale of certain products or services.
IMG -> Enterprise Structure -> Definition -> Sales and Distribution -> Define, copy, delete, check Sales organization
    2. Assigning Sales Organization to Company Code
This assignment ensures all the sales made through this Sales Organization are accounted for in the assigned Company Code (Company Code is created by FI Consultant).
IMG -> Enterprise Structure -> Assignment -> Sales and Distribution -> Assign Sales Organziation to Company Code
    3. Maintaining Distribution Channel
Distribution Channel is the way, in which Products or Services reach Customers.
IMG -> Enterprise Structure -> Definition -> Sales and Distribution -> Define, copy, delete, check distribution channel
    4. Assigning Distribution Channel to Sales Organization
This assignment ensures, a Sales Organization can supply Materials to Customers through this Distribution Channel.
IMG -> Enterprise Structure -> Assignment -> Sales and Distribution > Assign distribution channel to sales organization
    5. Maintaining Division
Division is a way of grouping materials, products, or services.
IMG -> Enterprise Structure -> Definition -> Logistics - General -> Define, copy, delete, check division
    6. Assigning Division to Sales Organization
IMG -> Enterprise Structure -> Assignment -> Sales and Distribution -> Assign division to sales organization
    7. Setting up Sales Area
All the sales are made from a particular sales Area. For creating a Sales Order Sales Area is compulsory.
IMG ->Enterprise Structure -> Assignment -> Sales and Distribution -> Set up sales area
    8. Assigning Sales Organization- Distribution Channel- Plant
Plant is created ny MM Consultant.
IMG -> Enterprise Structure -> Assignment -> Sales and Distribution -> Assign sales organization - distribution channel - plant
    9. Define Shipping Points
Shipping Point is the Organizational element, which is responsible for shipping the Materials to the Customers.
IMG -> Enterprise Structure -> Definition -> Logistics Execution -> Define, copy, delete, check shipping point
10 Assigning Shipping Point to Plant
This assignment ensures that goods from different Plant can be dispatched from different Shipping Points.
IMG -> Enterprise Structure -> Assignment -> Logistics Execution -> Assign shipping point to plant
Note: Ensure to do the undermentioned configuration also though it is not in Customizing node of Enterprise Structure.

  • Split Sales Order Line - by Delivering Plant ?

    Hi there,
Does anyone know (config or ABAP) how to split a sales order line for this scenario:
    1 Sales Org - SOrgA
3 Plants (PlantA, PLantB & PlantC)
Can fulfill SOrgA sales orders from all 3 plants
    No WM
User enters MatA Qty 10 on sales order line item 1.
MatA has qty 5 in plantA and qty5 in PlantB.
System gives Qty 5 to line item 1, reduces qty requested to 5.
Stytem creates new sales order line & gives Qty 5 to new line item 2.
I am essentially trying to fulfill the sales order from multiple plants but so far in R/3 I do not see any way to do this with config. Alternative is to do this manually but business requirement is to automate it.
    Any ideas?
Has anyone done something similar with ABAP?
    Thanks,
    Niall

    Thanks for your comments Ashutosh,
    My strawman schema is currently:
    Biz Hours:
    Orders created.
    Nightly:
[No (minimal) orders being entered so allocation should be a non-issue or very minimal].
    Backorder rescheduler job runs
Bespoke job runs to split lines if can fulfill from multiple plants
    - it may be FIFO based on a combination of dates such as customer delivery date and delivering plant lead time (will be bespoke)
    Delivery Due List runs
Currently our sales order lines have delivering plant (e.g. from customer master, CMIR or material). Against this plant ATP is run, even though the material may also be in another plant. The business issue is that sometimes, for some customers, we want to fulfill the order from a different plant or combination of different plants.
This is not for every order thankfully!

  • Delivering plant's maintenance and determination on sales order

    Hi
We would need to maintain delivering plant on vendor level for sales order but as this is not possible we might want to maintain it on article master data. Our biggest problem si the time perspective. It should be possible to maintain the plant so that it has a validity period. An article's delivering plant might hence change in the future and the sales order items that have a delivery time after this date should get the new plant. We have a huge amount of articles and a huge amount of sales orders so manual maintenance of each sales order item is out of question.
Any suggestions for soving this? Amount of articles and sales order item is so big that manual maintenance is not possible. Sales order items are also created far to the future.
    Thanks and br

    Welcome to SDN forum.
Well, the delivering plant is proposed from the the ship-to party customer master.
Provided the ship-to party is different from the sold-to party.
So, if you have same partner numbers to ship-to party & sold-to party then preference will go to sold-to party.
    Say,
    Case1
    Sales Partner
    Customer Number
    Delivering Plant
    maintain in respective customer master
    SP - Sold-to Party
    ABC123
    ZY02
    SH - Ship-to Party
    ABC123
    ZY01
In above case, the delivering plant ZY02 will be from sold to party.
    Case2
    Sales Partner
    Customer Number
    Delivering Plant
    maintain in respective customer master
    SP - Sold-to Party
    ABC123
    ZY02
    SH - Ship-to Party
    ABC321
    ZY01
In above case, the delivering plant ZY01 will be from ship-to party.

    JP
Here I have assumed that delivering plant determination is happening on based on customer master

  • How to change  PDF comments time in utc time zone*

Currently the eReview PDF time stamp uses the system time for its timestamp.
If there are two reviewers for a eReview packet, one in some X location and other in Phoenix and the reviewer in "X" reviews the packet first on a particular day evening and reviewer in Phoenix reviews the packet in their same day morning then the timestamp shows that Review in Phoenix is done first and "X" is done later.
The same is the case for comments from authors and the reviewers if both are different location.
So I think this time stamp looks inconsistent and does not give the desired information.
so its taking system by default, how to change it from system time to UTC time zone
    Thanks&Regards
    Sam rome

you could use the elapsed time function and hook it up to a case structure so that every .1 seconds you write your data to a file.
    hope this helps:

  • Mandatory of delivering plant

    Hi,
How can I make the field(RV45A-DWERK) "delivering plant" mandatory at the
time of sale order creation(VA01) and same should be copy for all the Line items
    for whole sale order.
    Regards,
    SP Shukla.

    Dear Shukla
As you would be aware you can make the delivering plant to flow automatically in sale order, provided if you have maintained in the following chronological order.
    -  Customer Material Info Record (TCode VD51)
    -  Customer Master (TCode XD02)
    -  Material Master (TCode MM03)
The priority will be given in the above sequence and hence, if you maintain the delivering plant in VD51 / VD52, system will propose automatically.

  • Locale, Time Zone

    Hi,
Now that we can customize Time Format and Time Zone, it makes sense that we cannot see anymore the US Central Time, also known as "Discussions time".
It is a nice feature, thanks, and I was happy also, a week ago or so, when I saw that it finally got fixed and worked everywhere the same way.
However, since a few days, it has come back to its first inconsistent behaviour:
My settings are English (UK) and (GMT +00), so I see
    - on the Home page: Announcements > Reputations & Recent Posts > 07-Dec-2005 02:56
    - in the Forums: Last Post > 10-Dec-2005 19:11 by: Phillip Jones
    - in Phillip's last Post: From: Martinsville, Va; Registered: 24-Mar-2005
    - in My Posts,
etc, everywhere I go, I see the right format and the right time,
    EXCEPT
    - inside a Reply: "Replying To Phillip": From: Martinsville, Va; Registered: 3/25/05
    and
    - in my own user profile I am Registered: 4/14/04 instead of 14/4/04.
    THIS
was corrected a few days ago: I was Registered: 14/04/04, and I remember this because I noticed the "04" instead of "4" for April.
    Nothing crucial
(I would be very happy as well with no choice but the Texas time, although Cupertino time makes more sense IMO),
just notifying it in case you need this info to go on enhancing the new software.
Thanks again for the great work!

    Also:
Is your (correct? incorrect?) registration date the 24th or the 25th?
Sorry Phillip I didn't write CET in my example not to confuse with time zones
    Phillip,
You old 2000 account is probably somewhere. I would try to find it back and get the password error corrected...

  • Process order and user time zone

Our system server time zone is CET but we are using EST for user time zone and plant. When we create process orders, the creation date/time is using the server time zone CET.
I understand that in the database, the CET time is used but Is there a way to show the timestamp in the user time zone EST?
    Thanks,
    Ghislain

    Hi Lisa:
We usually let USers maintain their own time zone even though its different from System Time Zone.
When it comes to SAP systems, BASIS usually maintains this and it will most proabably the time in their zone.
And users have their own time zone.
It effects only for support Deelopers who migh tlook at failed jobs in SAP/BW and try to decode them. In this case, they will have to know the differences in TIme Zones, but its not a bog problem.

  • Get actual time for specific time zone

    Dear experts,
is it possible to get the actual time for a given time zone? We need to know the time of a certain plant and we are searching for a standard function module which calculates the time based on the plants time zone.

You can use TIME ZONE statement for this.
    DATA: time_stamp_s TYPE string,
                time_stamp     TYPE timestamp,
                tzone              TYPE timezone,
               wf_date_conv TYPE sy-datum,
               wf_time_conv TYPE sy-uzeit.
    tzone = 'CET'.
    CONCATENATE sy-datlo   "Local Date
                              sy-timlo    "Local Time
                      INTO time_stamp_s.
    time_stamp = time_stamp_s.
CONVERT TIME STAMP time_stamp TIME ZONE tzone INTO DATE wf_date_conv TIME wf_time_conv.
Otherwise FM IB_CONVERT_INTO_TIMESTAMP/IB_CONVERT_FROM_TIMESTAMP can bne used for same.
