InContext Editing not showing "edit page" button

I made a site for someone using dreamweaver and defined areas as editable regions.
I've used InContext Editing before and found it really easy with no problems until now. When I log in from my computers (varrying between 3 different browsers and 2 different operating systems), it works just fine.
At the top I see exactly this:
There are two rows at the top, and I can click "edit page" and it works perfectly.
When the person I made it for logs in, he see the top row... like this:
Clicking "Edit Site" seems to do nothing for him (well, me neither, but I can just hit edit page)...
I can't check what's going on with his computer because I don't live where he lives, but I had him make sure he had the most recent version of flash, and he does.
Does anyone know of any common problem with this? Does he have too old of a browser? Is he disabling something on his browser that's blocking the second row?
I've googled this pretty thoroughly and can't fine anyone that has had the same problem

And that he "accepted" your invitation to do ICE.

We need to do a mass deployment of Adobe Reader XI 11.0.3 with "Always hide forms document message bar" preference setting automatically set for every user so they do not have to go through the menu and set it manually.
Is there a way to configure this for all users with the customization wizard or another method?
We also need to do the same for "Do not show edit warnings"
If these are registry keys, which registry keys set these options?

If that doesn't work and there's a configuration item in the preferences UI, do this:
Get regshot.
Close everything but Acrobat/Reader.
Take a reg shot.
Configure the setting via the UI.
Tak another reg shot.
Compare the two.
That process will give you your answer.
If there is no corresponding pref in the UI, then you probably can't do it.

Will not show web page on windows high contrast

Hi,
Am running Windows 7 64bit
my problem is as follows.
I normally run Windows in high contrast mode and would prefer all web sites to be on the dark side.
Occasionally I need to be able to see a web page as its designers intended it to be.
So I want to have the text white and background black and then the ability to toggle between that and the web page's own colour scheme.
Thought I'd found exactly what I needed in the add-on "Toggle Document Colors 1.0"
Am presuming it toggles the status of the "Allow pages to choose their own colours..." tick box.
This setting seems to get lost when FF closes. Even if I set the tick box myself and then close FF it is gone when I reopen FF.
If the box is ticked and a page refreshed it still does not show web page colours ?
Without any addons at all after a reset and only using the colours dialog I cannot get it to behave.
If you start in Windows white mode (normal) things are better even after FF close. Change to Windows black mode (high contrast) things start off ok then after you close FF it will not work
If there is a solution I would love to know it.
Will settle for a workaround.
Considered using old version of FF, but this is not really a good idea.
Really don't want to go back to IE

iTunes does not yet support Windows 8, so there may not be a fix until such time as Apple releases a version of iTunes that does support 8. You can search this forum for "windows 8", though, and perhaps you'll find a suggestion in one of the other threads on the issue.

Not showing web pages

Firefox is not showing any page; all the content is in absolute white; the source code is the same. The Antivirus and the spyware is not detecting any issue in the machine. The others browsers are working normally. I tried to unnistall the software, reinstall, update and nothings solve the problem.

A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

Extended Profile Taskflow not Showing Edit button

I am using the Extended Profile Taskflow within a Custom Portal implementation. I have set all the necessary security through the jazn-data.xml so that users can both view and edit within the taskflow. I have also made sure to run the necessary sql scripts to make the sections of a profile editable, but the Edit button is not showing up at the top of the Extended Profile taskflow.
Any ideas?

Editing icloud pages document on desktop, edits not showing up on icloud

I have a pages document on my icloud called "ABC123"
I am on my mac
I go to FINDER > iCLOUD > PAGES FOLDER
in the pages folder I see the document "ABC123"
I click ABC123
It opens in pages on my desktop (not in browser)
I make an edit and type: "***?"
I click save.
When I open ABC123 in the browser-version of pages, my "***?" edit is not there.
Why are my edits not syncing with the icloud version even though I opened it through my icloud folder? Everything is updated (software and pages and icloud acct).... can we just not use the desktop version to edit icloud documents?
In other words:
I ask because I'd like to collaborate with others, but I would like to use my desktop version. They can use the browser to edit. but.... my desktop edits aren't saving to the collaborative online version of ABC123

Yes, Pages and iCloud Drive can be used in the way you're describing. It sounds like you're seeing some unexpected behavior with this feature.
For troubleshooting, start with the tips in the "Documents on iCloud.com are not updated when changes are made on my iOS device or Mac" section of this article:

You may also want to close and re-open Pages and Safari, and test again.

HDR merge edit not showing correct

When I try to merge for HDR the edit page does not show correctly. There is big white gap in the merge.
I am using mac book pro retina and photoshop CC 14.1.2

If not, try pressing Alt then use View -> Toolbars -> Menu Bar to make it stay visible.

Photo edits not showing up in iPhoto when using PSE

I have recently purchased Photoshop Elements 13 and have set iPhoto to use it as my editor. That is working, however, when I save the file, the new file does not show up in iPhoto. It does, however, show up in Organizer. Is there any way to fix this?

Thanks Larry, I don't doubt that I'm not doing it correctly, but I don't know what I am doing wrong. I have selected PSE to be my external editor in the iPhoto preferences and when I select a photo in iPhoto to edit, it comes up in PSE. I edit the photo and select save (or click on the X in the top right corner of the image, I have tried both and gotten the same results both ways. I get a dialog box that indicates PSE is going to save the file in psd format. I have let it do that and I have also changed to JPG, neither has made any difference. I have also gone in and changed the preferences in PSE to replace the original file on the advice of help at Elements Village. It didn't change the file in iPhoto before that change and it hasn't changed it after that change either.
The file I originally was working with was in RAW format, and I read in another thread that there was no way for PSE to save the edited RAW file back into iPhoto directly, that it would need to be saved somewhere else, such as to the desktop, and then imported back into iPhoto. So, I edited a jpg file and saved it and that edited file did not show up in iPhoto either. From reading other threads, it seems to work for other people, but I don't know what I and doing wrong or what else to try. I have spent a ton of time trying to get this to work because I don't care for the PS Organizer and would prefer to use iPhoto to organize my photos and PSE and ACR to edit them, but so far I am not having any luck with it other than saving the edited file somewhere else and then importing it again into iPhoto, which is a pretty clunky way to have to do it.

Photoshop CS5 edits not showing in Lightroom

Experiencing strange behavior and would appreciate any advice...
Am editing .CR2 files, then doing Edit in > Photoshop CS5 > Edit with Lightroom Adjustments and "Stack with Original". All goes fine until I save and the new image is now displayed in LR. If I want to do a subsequent edit to the now-stacked .psd file, using Edit in > Photoshop CS5 > Edit Original, then saving, those edits are not showing up in Lightroom. Strangest is that if I then do Edit in > Photoshop CS5 > Edit Original to the file again, my edits are there in Photoshop.
I think this is an issue with Lightroom updating / syncing its preview (I'm looking at these in both Grid and Loupe) so that I can't see the latest version of what I edited. Also, sometimes I can get it to update by changing zoom levels and having LR go back to re-recreate the preview (I assume). I have also seen this behavior (it's more obvious in this case) when doing B&W conversions and the preview keeps flipping back and forth from color to B&W.
I assume this is a bug, but is there any way to force the previews to update as a workaround? Don't really use the print module, but changes also appear to not be reflected in the Web module, so concerned about what my output will look like.

Well, just found one solution... Library > Previews > Discard 1:1 previews and then zooming in on each photo in the Library (Loupe) forced the update. This needs to get fixed!!

Newbie question: Edits not showing up in execution

I'm doing some long distance tutoring for a friend. She's a beginner and is just learning Java and is using an IDE for the first time. I'm an experienced CP/M/DOS/Windows programmer and I've used IDEs before. But I've only just installed Sun ONE 3 aka Forte for Java CE, so I'm not intimately familiar with this particular IDE.
This is a very simple one-file, one-function toy program that she's writing for an assignment at school. We have a situation where when she edits the file and executes it, the changes are not showing up. We've tried putting in simple "we made it here" output at the beginning of the routine and it never shows up. If her code has syntax errors then the compiler does display an appropriate message, so it is being compiled. It's just never executed.
She sent me her source file and it's working fine here.
Again, this is long distance, so I haven't been able to search around in her IDE to try to figure out what's different between her environment and mine. And I haven't been able to duplicate the symptoms here. My suspicion is that we have a setting in the project that's running a different compiled module than we just edited. But I don't know where to look to find out if that's what it is.
Anyone have any ideas? Can anyone give me some suggestions to try to track this down? Or maybe some pointers to the appropriate sections of the documentation that might apply to a situation like this?

She's definitely picking up a different class file. Is she compiling to a different directory than the source directory? If so, turn this off, close the IDE, and clean up all classes in the source and destination directories.
Also, check and make sure that she doesn't have the same source file mounted under two different filesystems. For example, don't mount directories like this:
c:\myproject
c:\myproject\src
This is a general issue and should be avoided--it can cause duplicate entries for the same physical file.
If all else fails, have her delete her user directory, and be sure that all class files have been deleted from your source directory. The location of the user directory can be found in the Help > About dialog.
I wish I could offer more specific assistance.

HT2946 Photoshop edits not showing up in Aperture full size image view

I see that my issue has actually been somewhat addressed in #9 of this article, however no matter how long I wait, the edits I make in PS simply do not show up in Aperture. The edits are visible in the thumbnail view, but disappear in full size view. The really strange thing is that this is a completely brand new issue. Literally just started about a week ago. So I'm guessing possibly I have inadvertantly changed a setting or something, but for the life of me, I cannot find anywhere to adjust it. Would greatly appreciate any advice! Thanks!!

Aperture 3.2.3 has a bug at this time.
If you are running that version of Aperture, you may be experiencing the issue outlined here:
