InCopyCore.InDesignPlugin
I have an InCopy file with the extension .icml that when I open in InDesign, I get an error message that "InCopyCore.InDesignPlugin" is missing. I can still open the file.
I cannot File/Place the .icml file. When I try that, I get an error message that this file is not a valid Adobe Interchange file.
Is it important to have the InCopyCore.InDesignPlugin?
I have searched all my directories for this plugin. There doesn't seem to be much info on the internet or in HELP about it.
I am using Mac OS X, version 10.6.4.
The errors happen in INDD 4, 5, 5.5, and 6.

You can’t open an ICML file in InDesign, so that error is normal. You can only place them which shouldn’t be a problem.
If you’d care to post one of these files somewhere I’d be happy to take a look here.

InDesign CS5 Crash after open/close layouts 3/4 times consequently
This happen with differents layouts (native CS5 documents on different machine also without fonts installed).
We have tried on different machines (OSX 10.6.4, Win7 x64, Win XP 32bit).

It is random and it's not related to a file (one time i can open the file andanother time it cause an InDesign crash);
It sounds very much like a font problem. Are you using a font manager, and if so, which one?
We have reproduced the problem also on machine with only system's fonts.
I forgot to say that the crashes happen only with InDesign files with InCopy files linked in.

Missing on Users end: How to install Font Manager.IndesignPlugin. Indesign_CC
I installed Indesign CC on the admin side of my computer. It seems to open/work fine there but when i login as a user on the computer, it won't open Indesign because it claims it is missing the Font Manager.IndesignPlugin. It originally said it was also missing the Character Panel.IndesignPlugin but I copied and pasted it from the admin to user's plugin folders. That seemed to fix that issue. But, doign find/searchs of the file name on both the Admin side and users side, i I am unable to even find the plugin. Why is this happening and where can I find this?
So very frusturated. This is all after I've installed/uninstalled this 4 times already today because of other issues.

Using InDesign CS5.5 and am missing SMD Channels Model.sdk.IndesignPlugin
I am a designer and I am proofing the magazine a printer sent back to me and I can't open his file because it says I am missing SMD Channels Model.sdk.IndesignPlugin and strongly advises me not to open it.
Is there a way to download this plugin or have the printer send an IDML file instead?Ask in the ID forum. On a general note, though, warnings about missing plug-ins mean that the file was created and saved in a newer version of the program and thus cannot be opened. You will have to work out that part or indeed use IDML.

InDesign does not recognize Digital Publishing.InDesignPlugin as a valid plug-in
When I try to open a specific file, or just launch the program, InDesign will open a few seconds, freeze, and then crash. The first few times, I got the message:
Startup Alert
Adobe InDesign does not recognize Digital Publishing.InDesignPlgin as a valid plug-in. Please reinstall the Digital Publishing.InDesignPlugin plug-in and restart InDesign.
Show this alert again? Y/N?
I've tried searching for what this plug-in is, or searching other forums for a similar problem. No luck. I tried uninstalling InDesign CC and reinstalling. No luck. I tried downloading and installing something called "AdobeDigitalPublishingPatch-CC-27.0.0.dmg." No luck.
Let me know if you know how I might fix this. Like I said, I am running InDesign CC on Mac OS X (version 10.8.4).Hey Hank,
I tried both deleting my preferences the way you suggested, as well as doing another uninstall, and checking "Remove Preferences"... and neither worked. InDesign is still opening, freezing, and then crashing.
I even found the Digital Publishing plugin, and tried removing it from the Plugsin folder. That made the error message go away (which started reappearing after I reinstalled), but it didn't do anything related opening or creating a file.
Sigh.
Any other ideas? -
How do I install and/or activate the "Channels Model.InDesignPlugin" for InDesign CC 2014?
I need to package my files today for an online class using InDesign CC 2014 and I keep getting this error message:

Thanks for responding. Yes: I have tried both ways: First to Save file, then Export to .idml, then reopen to package while inside InDesign -and- as Save file, Export to .idml, Save, Close file, then Reopen as .idml, to package. I also tried a straight out export to PDF and all I get is a blank page with registration, bleed, and crop marks.
Very weird and frustrating. I checked my Extensions Manager just to make sure I didn't miss anything or if I could activate it from there. Channels Model.InDesignPlugin or anything resembling that does not exist. I have been searching on Google to see what I can find. My instructors are aware of the issue so far but this is greatly impacting two of my classes.
Last things I have tried were a full uninstall and re-install since my last post just to see if that would work. Nothing. Same issue still. The .indd verison opens per usual with missing three types of plugins that are YTDChannel related. Even though if I don't need this plugin as mentioned previous by /u/jmlevy, then why is everything coming up blank?

Indesign crashing after update and says i am missing Font Manager.InDesignPlugin
My copy of Indesign was crashing everythime I launched a text box so I upgraded to the new version. Now it won't load at all but says you are missing

Workgroup Client.InDesignPlugIn Conflicts
Hi,
Yesterday I updated In Design and after that it is not launching.
It gives message "Workgroup Client.InDesignPlugIn Conflicts Workgroup Client Ul.InDesignPlugIn"
1) I have removed from PlugIn folder and check did not solve the problem.
2) I select InDesing application > right click > show package contents > contents > MacOS > Required > and remove the PlugIn.
Does not solve my problem and now I get another ERROR
1) Can not load the "Text Tagged Filters Ul.InDesignPlugIn"

We are using Adobe CC 2014 and one of my design team members apparently has a plugin that no one else has. How do we remedy this situation. When you open their files it gives a message that the file uses a plugin not on your system. Then, when you want to package the job, you are not allowed because of the plugin. The plugin is VIProj.InDesignPlugin. Is this available to install or remove?
A trip through IDML should clear the plugin info (until it's opened again on a sytem using the plugin). See Remove minor corruption by exporting
Use Extension Manager to remove the plugin from the system. -
Have updated InDesign CC, but now get an error message for Font Manager.InDesignPlugin

Also, I got a new computer last week. The changeover to the new mac seeeeeemed to be fine...
However, I think Adobe suffers from Monday-itis as today I can't open any programmes as I get the attached message box when I try to sign in to Creative Cloud. Will make this it's own post too. -
Lilo.indesignplugin not available
I created a CS5 ID file yesterday on my Mac (Snow Leopard) and today when I opened the file in ID I got a message saying that the document uses a plugin that is not available on my system (LILO.indesignplugin). Not seeing any ID updates available right now. Also all of my menu bars and buttons are gone/have changed and I have no text editing capabilities in the documents. Please help. Thanks!

Nope, I created them on the same computer using the same version of ID (CS5). When I started ID for the first time today I got a prompt that said updates from Adobe were available. So I updated. Then when I tried to open the files created the previous day I began getting the plugin not available message. Hmmmmm.... -
LILO.InDesignPlugin error CS5 in documents saved yesterday
I am a printer and I run CS5 on a Mac OS X. I have been working on many forms and had them all open yesterday and saved all before closing. I shut machine down and turned on this morning and now I cannot do anything in InDesign because of a missing LILO.InDesignPlugin error message. HELP! I did notice that my App bar had changed and I had to move my icons back on the the bar.
Did you follow the instructions in the link for resetting the prefs?
Waht do you mean youreplaced the language pref? Only thing in the prefs related to language is a choice for which dictionary to use for each language installed. -
Assignment UI.InDesignPlugin and other CS5.5 problems
I am installing CS5.5 Design Standard on a Mac (OS 10.6.7) and am getting the following errors when opening InDesign, even after updating it to the latest patch:

Does anybody know why this may occur?Jasmeet, that's counter to my understanding. I'm under the impression that each update inclues all the previous ones. That is, the 7.0.4 updater inclues 7.0.1,7.0.2, and 7.0.3.
A clue that this is the case is the steadily increasing size of the updates: 17MB for 7.0.2, 25MB for 7.0.3, 38MB for 7.0.4.
Also, notice that Adobe7.0.1 was not released for most languages, only for German and Swedish. Yet of course the 7.0.2 updater worked fine for all of us running US English (err, North American English? Whatever it is callde now).
Do you have evidence to the contrary?
I'm pretty sure I've updated systems straight from 7.0.0 to 7.0.4, but my memory is not 100% on that.
This model is very different from Acrobat's, for instance, for which you must install each update one at a time. -
BlackliningCS4.sdk.InDesignPlugin freezes Indesign CC 2014
I need to open an Indesign document which uses the "BlackliningCS4.sdk.InDesignPlugin" which I don't have.
Usually I just click, "Ok" when the "Missing Plug-ins " box alerts me to this and the documents open.
This one starts to open and then the Indesign progress bar freezes. It requires a force quit.
I checked the text file that came with the doc and disable the fonts used in it before trying to open it. Still no luck.
Any ideas on how I get this to open? It's only a 1.7MB file.It's a document received, not something I exported. I tried the java script referenced in the link but still no luck. Thanks for the suggestion anyway.
Actually, it opened in Indesign CS5.5 and I "outlined" the single problem page and recreated it from the CS5.5 IDML saved file in CC 2014...
So I found a sort of workaround but opening directly in CC 2014, still not an option. -
InCopyImport.InDesignPlugIn for Indesign CS6
Is it possible to obtain a fresh copy of the InCopyImport.InDesignPlugIn for Indesign CS6? I have installed Creative Suite CS6 on a fresh iMac 10.8.5 build, and I receive this error when opening Indesign CS6 only. All other applications run fine. AT first I had an issue with 6 or 7 plug-ins, but upon closing and reopening, I am down to just the one error.

Even the tutorials are identical. So how you can say that CC was built from the ground up is preposterous.
Without getting into an argument with you. I will explain my frustration more clearly.
1/ I paid an extortionate amount of money for InDesign CS6 and have been very happy with the results
2/ It appears that Adobe and you want me to forget the amount of money that I have already invested, bin the old software and buy a subscription to a new more powerful program that was built on the same design. I will receive a meagre discount for the first year and then be charged in the region of £50.00 per month there after. That works out at £600 per calendar year. And a cost that will have to be passed on to my customers
3/ On other Adobe products they offer an add on for updates. So why can't they offer an add on for the Fixed and reflowable layouts.
4/ As mentioned in an earlier conversation. I am impressed with the software and will more than likely have to subscribe to CC 2014.
So lets end this conversation here in the knowledge that I will be buying a subscription .
