Incorrect calculation of Deprecaition

We have capitalized one asset No. 2000978 on 20.07.2011 and
subsequenlty acquired additional asset on 01.11.2011. For the second
acquisition depreciation is calculating from 20.07.2011 instead of
calculating from 01.11.2011 (Asstval date).
Similarly you can also check the asset no. 5004836 for which first
acquistion was done on 16.09.2011 and subsequenlty addition were done
on 24.11.2011 and 15.12.2011 in this case also depreciation was
calculated from the date or first acquistion.
As the auditors are following up for this issue. Request you to provide us the solution to check and correct the same.
Thanks & Regards
Khadeer

For these kind of scenarios, SAP recommands to use SUB ASSET for the main asset. then system will calculate the dep for the addtions from the date of addtion's asset value date only.
First create one new sub asset for each addtion transaction for your main asset and on same day of addtion transaction, you transfer the addtion transaction portion to the sub asset from main asset.
and also check in sub asset master, whether the ord dep start date is same as your addtion portion transfer date or not...if not change it accordingly as per your requirement.

  • UK Payroll - Incorrect calculation of OSP & SSP

    Hi,
We are facing an issue wherein the OSP & SSP figures are not being calculated correctly by the system. when the employee has a time wage type assigned to him.
Problem Details :  The employee has two wage types in his Basic Pay infotype : Basic Pay and  Overtime
Amount (1278 GBP)is maintained for basic pay and no. of hours (13.04 )for Overtime pay calculation.
Overtime pay is calculated using PCRs X010,X013and X015 and the amount comes out to be 156 GBP
Now when the employee goes on long sick leave and he becomes eligible for OSP & SSP wage types instead of Basic pay and overtime, the system is not calculating the amount of OSP & SSP correctly .
The correct amount of OSP & SSP figures combined together should be equal to the sum of amount of basic pay and the Overtime pay in case of full pay (100%) scenario but the system is considering only basic pay for OSP & SSP Calculation and ignoring Overtime wage type amount and hence the total amount of OSP & SSP is coming out to be 1278 GBP and not 1434GBP ( 1278+156)
I have checked the config settings and they seem to be okay . In the log in /010and /250 and /251 the amount of Overtime wag etype is not getting included.
Request you to please help me in resolving this issue.
    Thanks & Regards ,

  • Purchase Price Variance Report - incorrect calculation

    Good afternoon all,
As a relative new comer to Oracle I'm after some help/advice.
When running a PPV report I'm not convinced the report is returning the correct answer. The report seems to be calculating the PPV as Qty x PO Price. It should be Qty x (PO price - Standard Cost).
How can I find out if this is a bug / determining whether there is already a solution to the issue? Version R12.
    Thanks
    Jon

You should log a service request with Oracle Support on this. Oracle documentation says that the PPV calculation should be just like you say it should be. So if the report is not doing that calculation, sounds like a program problem that needs to be identified and fixed. If there is a fix already, support will tell you what it is.

  • VAT being incorrectly calculated

    Forum,
I have noticed that when entering an AR Invoice the VAT being calculated is 19.5% and not 20%. This is despite the BP being marked as liable and the sales/purchase data tabs against the item are also 20%. I seem to have narrowed it down to being the payment term associated to the Business Partner. The payment terms is set up as follows:
    Customer 2.5% Settle disc.
    No. of installments = 0
    Open incoming payment = 0
    Cash discount Name: 2.5% 14Days
Within the above cash discount is an amount of 2.5% - this is causing the issue. Upon reading the help file it doesn't mention discounting the VAT amount unless it's a country specific field?
    The localisation setting is UK.
Has anyone come across this before?
    Regards,
    Juan

    Hi Juan.....
Do you have any Rounding applied to Tax Formula.
Try removing and then try to see the effect.
    Else
Create new tax type and give appropriate Tax Rate and then take it into action........

  • Incorrect calculation of 100! - but why

    HI,
I just tried to calculate 100! (using the FACT function) in Numbers, and it gave me an answer that is:

Numbers seems to be rounding up the answer after 15 digits. But can someone explain why is this happening?
I suppose I might need to change the default settings somewhere, Can someone please guide!
    Thanks

    Hello
Spreadsheet is not the right tool for arbitrary precision calculation. As far as Numbers is concerned, it uses double precision binary floating point arithmetic whose mantissa can hold only 52-bit binary digits. In other words, 2 ^ 53 is the maximum exact integer it can represent.
I don't know what your goal is, and also I guess you already know what alternatives are, but here you may use bc(1) in shell, such as -
    #!/bin/bash
    bc -l <<EOF
    define fact (n)
        m = 1
        for (i = 1; i <= n; i++) { m *= i }
        return m
    print fact(100)
    EOF
    or ruby, such as -
    #!/usr/bin/ruby -w
    def fact (n)
        m = 1
        for i in (1 .. n)
            m *= i
        end
        return m
    end
    print fact(100)

  • Incorrect calculation of Condition amount ( KONV - KBETR ) in VA01.

    Hi All,
    I have a requirement like this ...
When i create a credit memo in VA01 by using the Create with Reference option on the screen , it asks for a billing document number ( Invoice Number ) .
After entering this number and then clicking the COPY icon, a credit memo gets created .
The problem is that the newly created Credit memo has Condition Amount = 10%  ( KONV-KBETR ) for condition 'ZD01'  whereas in the Invoice for the condition  'ZD01' the Condition amout = 20% .
What i think is that both the amount should be same ie 20 % for Credit Memo as well as Invoice.
Can you please help me with this .

  • Incorrectly calculating hfe/input impedance

    Hello
Multisim calculates wrongly the input impedance of a common emitter stage - judging from the voltage drop on the base resistor network it appears it assumes a hfe of about 10, when the real value is over 500. I used the 2N2222A as a model, and the error is there on multiple transistors with hfes many multiples of 10.
Could you please let me know what I am witnessing here?
    Thanks
    Akis

    Hi All,
I also ran this test and found that the HFE value was around the 220 mark. I wonder if you are looking at a different flavour of 2n2222A transistor? A quick look on google revealed the following components
    Microsemi - HFE between 50 and 100
Philips Semi conductors - HFE 75
    SemiLab - HFE between 100 and 300.
I think the thing to note is that these transistors can have a quite varying value for HFE. If you navigate to the component browser, find the 2N2222A component and click on the button marked "Detail report". You can see that the hFE value will vary between 35 and 300.
    I hope this helps,
    Many thanks,

  • FA - Incorrect NBV Calculation with Salvage Value

    Hi, Guys.
As per reference, I thought that the NBV calculation is as follows :
NBV = Cost - Salvage Value - Accum deprn
However, when we loaded new assets with salvage value and accum deprn is zero, NBV = cost.
    Cost = 1000
    Salvage Value = 400
    Accum Deprn = 0
    NBV = 1000 ?
NBV=1000 is what i'm seeing at the Financial Inquiry screen. Why was NBV incorrectly calculated? Am I missing something?
    Thanks,
    Claudio

    Hi Markus,
The assets were capitalized in Fy2008 with value date in Period 12/2008. We follow the Straight line method, depreciation starting in the following month of Asset value date. So in this case, the depr should start from P01/2009. But it was depreciated for the whole of 2008 and this has happened only with few of the assets and not all (Out of 75, 60 of them has such case and the rest looks perfectly fine).

  • Grands totals for % Columns coming incorrect in pivot view .

    Hello ,
I have the below scenario . Iam trying to get the calculated grand total for % column . I tired several ways ...like report aggregates enabled in instanceconfig, tried creating cal colum using physical columns as well as logical columns in RPD , changing the aggregation rule. The row wise values (%) are coming correct but iam unable to get correct % grand total (36.8%) instead iam just getting the sum of the % total ( 83.3%) . I have tried the above options in my previous reports and those conditions work perfectly right but for this report they are not able to . kindly please let me know if anybody has a solution for this issue .
    Department ...USD CAD Variance (USD/CAD)*100
    XYZ 10 20 50%
    ABC 25 75 33.3%
    Total 35 95 36.8% ( 35/95)

    Just to cross check
Do you have following tag in your instanceconfig file ? if its not there then you may encounter grand total incorrect calculations.

  • MSI Neo2 K8N Platinum - Freezing Issue during games

First off greetings to everyone on these forums...
I purchased the MSI Neo2 K8N Platinum motherboard from NewEgg back at the end of March to compliment the AMD 64 "Winchester" processor that I also purchased at that time to replace a slightly older AMD XP "Barton" system that was using the Abit NF7-S motherboard. For the past month I have been fighting an unusual and highly irritating issue that I have noticed during game play and have tried everything that I know of and more in an attempt to remedy this issue, but to no avail. This is the general background of the situation and now I will descibe in greater detail as to what this issue I am referring to is and the symptoms of this issue and some of the various methods used to remedy this issue.
The issue is that while play a game the system experiences a short 5-10 second freeze during the game randomly, but usually several times an hour. During this freezing the sound would loop and as suddenly as the freeze occurs it would cease and the game would continue on as if nothing happened. However, sometimes this would result in the system freezing outright after this short 5-10 second freeze... but it does not feel like a total system freeze, but rather a video freeze as the sound continues and I still have keyboard control... but this does require me to force a manual reboot of the machine itself. I have scowered the internet and various forums in an attempt to find what the issue was and use various methods to remedy this issue, but so far nothing has worked in my favor... but it does seem like this issue has been plaguing other users with the MSI Neo2 Platinum motherboard. Below are some of the methods that I have used in an attempt to solve this issue:
*Default Clock for CPU/Memory/GPU; Over/Under Clock for CPU/Memory/GPU
*Increased voltages to CPU VID, AGP, and Memory
    *Disabled/Enabled AGP Fast Writes
*Increased AGP Aperture from 64MB to 512MB
*Enabled/Disabled ATI/nVidia Speedup option in BIOS
*Forced AGP clock lock to 66-67mhz
    *Relaxed/Aggressive memory timings
    *APIC enabled/disabled
    *Gate A20 turbo/normal
*Disabled all unneeded onboard components (Realtek NIC, Sound, SATA)
*Disabled nVidia MAC and attempted to use 3Com Gigabit PCI card instead
    *Swapped HDD Cables
*Tried PCI Sound Card (SB Audigy2 ZS Gamer) in PCI Slots 3/4
*Tried video drivers from 71.89 Official to 76.45 beta modified drivers
*Tried 5.10 official nForce drivers to remixed 7.02 nForce drivers (5.10 drivers uses 4.36 GART, higher drivers uses the 4.40 GART)
*Applied all the latest updates from Windows Update Website
*Reinstalled Operating System (Windows XP SP2) 5 different times clean with various settings (APIC on/off, etc...) and different drivers.
*Installed Audio Card (SB Audigy2 ZS Gamer) with older and the latest drivers available from Creative's website
    *Replaced PSU (Previously was a Thermaltake 420watt PSU, 18A +12v) with a OCZ Modstream 520watt PSU (28A +12v)
*Video card is KNOWN working from previous build (AMD XP 3000, Abit NF7-S)
*Hard Drive is KNOWN working from previous build
*CD/DVD-ROM drive is kNOWN working from previous build
*Heat is not an issue... all components temperature is well below rated level, the only unknown is the chipset temperature (it has a active heatsink and seems to not be hot to the touch, applied AS5 to it anyway)
*Used latency tweak to the video card
*Used Rivatuner to force constant performance level
*Tweaked BIOS to force even clock rates and forced 1.4v to the GPU Core
    *Used original GPU BIOS
    *Used MSI Neo2 K8N Bios 1.4 - 1.8 and modified BIOS 1.8
*No background applications are running (not even antivirus)
*Used application to force maximum refresh rates for my monitor
*Memory passed MemTest86+ for over 24 hours
*System passed Prime95 and SuperPi for over 24 hours
*System seems stable in all non gaming related applications
    *Checked through various troubleshooting procedures
    *Disabled SBDRVDET.EXE using MSCONFIG
*There are no IRQ conflicts outside of PCI system management sharing IRQ11 with the NIC and USB... in APIC there are no IRQ conflicts what so ever. Regardless neither method worked
*Installed AMD 64 drivers from AMD
    *Disabled DEP in boot.ini
*...and many other various tweaks and modifications.

I have been fighting this issue for well over a month now and I am frankly nearly out of ideas, this does not necessarly prevent me from playing games, but this does interfere with the games I do play (especially online games). I do demand absolute stability from the games that I play and this issue only began AFTER I upgraded to the new motherboard, processor, and memory. The only thing I have not tried is something that I do not have access in attempting on this motherboard, and that is increasing the voltage to the chipset.
Here is my theory on what is going on is that I believe is there is a fault with the chipset on this motherboard and this is manifesting itself while I am playing various games on this system. Of course I would like to try increasing the voltage to the chipset as that would increase stability, but there is no option in BIOS to increase the chipset voltage like the previous motherboard I had (Abit NF7-S). It is possible that either a) the chipset is at fault and is causing me this issue or b) the chipset is not recieving enough voltage.
My question to the rest of you is this, what do you think the problem is and what ideas do you have that I may try that I have not tried yet. Additionally if there is nothing else that I may try should I attempt to RMA this motherboard and will that help, and is there any other versions of this motherboard that I should be aware of. I would appreciate any response from a MSI representative and any comments from those that may have positive suggestions for my issue. Thank you in advance for your time and any help that you may be able to render.

Does it only happen in online games, or can it happen in all games? One thing to make sure of is to turn off CRC checksum offload in your NVidia MAC properties (everyone do this, it is incorrectly calculating checksums which leads to servers ignoring your packets). However as you have tried a different network card you can discount this theory.
For me it looks like the biggest culrpit is your 6800NU, i have read alot of bad things about the NU and you have a low bios revision there, just because it worked well against your old chipset doesnt mean it will work well against your current chipset. Sounds like a BIOS fix is needed as some timing is out somewhere.
Ensure Spread Spectrum is off (and as you have already pointed out Fast writes, ATI NV Speedup) and your card is running at default clock.
As a test beg/borrow/steal another graphics card (preferably nvidia) and see how it goes so you can narrow in on your video card.
It is not just one game, but it is more prodominate in certain games than others... the game in question here is Planetside... though I stuck a demo of Unreal Tournament 2004 on a loop bot match and it seemed to have locked up after 4 hours (not sure how many times it experienced that 5-10 freeze as I went to bed). As for the video card it was KNOWN working from a previous build in those same games (Previous build was a AMDXP3000 and a Abit NF7-S nForce2 motherboard). The only components different in this build is the AMD64, the MSI Neo2 K8N, 2 new sticks of Corsair XMS to replace the Corsair ValueSelects, and the SB Audigy2 as I would never use a software codec audio solution. Spread Spectrum is LOCKED in BIOS and disabled... ATI/nVidia speed up was disabled from the start... and I tried the Video Card at default clock, over clocked, as well as under clocked and the same issue resulted... as I said before it is NOT the video card.
There are two other things I could try is use my old Geforce4ti 4200 and see what happens... or even try out WindowsXP 64-bit edition as someone earlier suggested. I wish I could find a new BIOS for my XFX 6800NU, but there there is only the revision 1 BIOS that I was able to find. The mystery continues...

  • Time machine won't backup, yet plenty of space & not much used on Mac HD

Well, this is yet another "Time machine won't backup becuase there is not enough space" thread. I have searched Google and threads here but it's still a mystery why this error is occurring and it seems there is no clear solution. I also looked at the Apple Time Machine errors FAQ as well.
Here are my specs and what I have tried so far.
2010 Mac Pro Quad Core with 1 TB hard drive with 12 GB RAM. (137 GB used so far on internal Mac hard drive disk, so about 863 GB free space).
    - New external 1 TB hard drive initialized as Time Machine backup disk when inserted for the first time.
The exact error I am getting is this: "This backup is too large for the backup disk. The backup requires 1.80 TB but only 999.20 GB are available."
I have tried deleting the Time Machine system preference, reinitializing the external disk, clearing the system caches with Cocktail, restarting and letting Time machine ask me all over again if I wanted to use the external drive for Time Machine. Still the same error.
My question is how on earth can 1.80 TB be required for the backup when I only have 137 GB of used space?

    danomatic12 wrote:
My question is how on earth can 1.80 TB be required for the backup when I only have 137 GB of used space?
    Two possibilities:
There's another disk (or disks) connected to your Mac. If they're formatted HFS+, Time Machine is trying to back it/them up as well. You can exclude them per #10 in [Time Machine - Frequently Asked Questions|http://web.me.com/pondini/Time_Machine/FAQ.html] (or use the link in *User Tips* at the top of this forum). The 1.8 TB includes 20% for temporary workspace on the TM drive, so TM is estimating the backup at about 1.5 TB.
Something on your internal HD is corrupted, causing an incorrect calculation. Verify your internal HD, per #6 in [Formatting, Partitioning, Verifying, and Repairing Disks|http://web.me.com/pondini/AppleTips/DU.html] (or use the link in *User Tips* at the top of the +Using Snow Leopard+ forum).

  • Report Result Issue

    Hello All,
I have a reporting issue. I hav designed a query with KFs as:
    Net Sales
    Exchange Rate
Net Sales (INR) = Net Sales * Exchange Rate [CKF]
    % Share
The issue is with the KF % Share. The calculation for this KF will be (Net Sales (INR)/ Total of Net Sales (INR))* 100.
Basically it calculates the % Share of sales of a particular customer from the overall sales.
Now, since Net Sales (INR) is CKF the overall result for it is also calculated as (Total of Net Sales * Exchange Rate). This gives me an incorrect value for Overall Result of Net Sales (INR), and in turn an incorrect value for % Share.
So, Total (Result) of Net Sales (INR) is internally calculated as multiplication, which is the issue.
I would request all to provide me a way to achieve the above report.
PS: I have tried using all type of query properties methods, replacing CKF with Formula, using Data functions in formula like GT, CT, etc.
    Thank you.
    Regards,
    Kunal G

    Sorry for the delay,
Please find below an exmple for the same:
    Values for Net Sales:
    1,808.80 EUR
    52,400.00 EUR
    $ 4,224.00
    $ 15,840.00
    Result row: *
    Values for Exhange Rate:
    66.4
    66.4
    42.7
    42.3
    Result row: 42.7
    Values for Net Sales INR:
    120,013.88
    3,476,740.00
    180,512.64
    670,190.40
    Result row: 4,447,456.92
Now, i need to calculate % share as 120,013.88/(Result of Net Sales INR). For this it takes the result of Net Sales INR as 74,272.8 * 42.7 leading to incorrect calculation.
I need Net Sales INR result as 4,447,456.92 to bring every thing correct.
Kindly guide me for the same,
    Thank you

  • Issues regarding theMarker value in inventory BI 7.0

    Hi,
We are facing an issue with the marker update for Stock vertical.
As per the process defined by SAP we have loaded the stock report using the marker value of 2LIS_03_BX.
    1.     We ran setup table in R/3 system for initial value of stock  on 26th April 2009
    2.     Marker value was loaded in the inventory cube from 2LIS_03_BX and compressed with Marker Update.
    3.     Historical movements were loaded from 2LIS_03_BF to cube.
    4.     The historical records were compressed with u201CNo Marker Updateu201D.
    5.     The delta loads were started for the inventory cube.
We came across some materials that were giving incorrect stock values.
Due to marker value was not coming correct from the extractor 2lIS_03_BX.
The reason for this was that there were some material documents that were created on 27th of April 2009 were having there posting dates in 16th April 2009.
As the initialization was done on 26th April, the above mentioned documents did not affect the marker valued and hence they resulted in incorrect calculation of stock.
We would like to get input on how we can rectify the marker value.
Kindly help us if someone has faced the same scenario in SAP BI 7.0 related to Stock/Inventory Cube.

If you cannot ask business users to reverse the document, I guess you have to reverse them by yourself.  The key point here is that your document was not counted in your initial balance. So you have to remove them without touching the marker and reload them with marker update.
If you cannot identify those documents, I guess you have to do everything again in a clean way.
If you can identify them, you could do it in the following way.
    1. Load those documents in a repair load.
    2. update your transformation rule a little bit to reverse your key figure. If it's 100, make it -100. Don't touch anything else.
    3. Now load these documents into the cube without marker update.
    4. Put your transformation rule back to original.
    5. Load the documents again in a repair load.
    6. Load them into your cube with marker update.

    Hi Gurus,
I need your help. Our client says that the tax was incorrectly calculated from the start of SAP application.
Before SAP Application, their tax is computed as follows based on the Pricing procedure used:
    19% on Freight
    6% on Value of goods
But now this is how tax is incorrectly calculated:
6% on net value of goods
I need your help on how I will solve this issue. This tax calculation should only be applied to sales to domestic Intercompany customer.

    Hi,
Can you pls explain little more clearly with example in the pre and post SAP scenarios.
    Kind Regards
    Chakradhar

  • How to populate the field Discount Percent (DIS) in the outbound S1ORDEXC?

    Hello all,
I am working with the Spec2000 to send out the IDOC S1ORDEXC.
Does anyone know how to populate the field Discount Percent (DIS)?
This field length of Discount Percent is 2 characters, but our customer discount in the Princing Conditions (Sales Order) is longer than 2 characters (ex:  7.500-%)
    Thank you

    Hello Thuan
I guess you are working with IS- ADEC and SPEC 2000. I am not an expert on this but leave you some hints from OSS notes I came across.
It appears like Discount Percent - DIS and Procurement Discount Percent -PDP are complementary and mutually exclusive. If one exists, the other need not.
Looks like DIS is computed as (100-PDP)/100 and it is just a 2- integer data (as in 20 Percent). It is a kind of multiplier (Factor), example if  PDP discount is 10 percent, then DIS (Factor) is 0.9 and so  final (net) price after discount = Price*0.9.
" If the discount comes in the S1BOOKED inbound into SD in the field DIS, then the discount has to be sent back in the DIS field .. if it came in the PDP field then it has to be sent back in the PDP field. If there was no discount in the incoming IDoc, then the discount has to be filled in the PDP if there was a change in the discount".
KDATE in SPEC 2000 file maps to DIS and KPERC to PDP.
PDP has 4 characters and per OSS note 440380, the point is ignored meaning you can work with 1225 instead of 12.25.
So may be you can work with PDP?
OSS notes: Apply to older releases but may still be applicable conceptually speaking.
456153 - S1ORDEXC does not send out Discount
440380 - PDP has only 4 characters in the SPEC IDoc instead of 5
596042 - Discount percent DIS not considered e processing S1ORDEXC
698668 - Incorrect calculation of unit price for PO item by S1ORDEXC
Let me know you final findings.
