Incorrect contact names in calendar from ActiveSync

Hello. All top management in my company using Apple devices and inside company Outlook calendar is widely used, due this executive staff have ActiveSync configured on devices and often looks in calendar for meeting. All going well, but emplyee's names in appear incorrect. We have standard for user account naming in company (display name), it is "LastName FirstName MiddleName". In mail messages those names appears correctly but in calendar meeting organizer and attendees contacts have two names "Quick"(boldfaced) and "Full"(beneath quick name). The problem is "Quick name" builds from Middle and LastName that is incorrect, it should be First + Last in any order but not middle. I have guess that "full name" takes from DisplayName attribute in ActiveDirectory because appears in right order, but don't understand how "Quick Name" builds. Please give me hint how i can recolve this issue?

Help! Can't Migrate Contacts (w/notes) & Calendar from OS10.4.11

I'm at my wits end.
I spoke with Applecare support and the Genius Bar but no one is able to help with a solution.
I've owned Macs for 20 years but I have an old Desktop G5 (PPC) running OS 10.4.11 purchased immediately before the Intel transition ...that machine had a death sentence from the moment I purchased it.
I recently purchased a Macbook Pro Retina 13" (late 2013) and I need to move my data from the G5 to the new Macbook.
On my G5:
-I have all my addresses and contact info in Apples 'Address Book' application version 4.0.6
-I have all my appointments and records of appointments on Apple's iCal application version 2.0.5.
As there is no migration support in Mavericks to use with my G5 I've tried exporting vfiles from the Address book an importing the vfile into Contacts. It does import, but unfortunately it strips out ALL of the data in the 'notes' section of each contact entry. I have hundreds of contacts with lots of data in the note field which has now vanished. If I have to go manually, entry by entry, and copy this data over to the Macbook it would take forever and would be easier to forgo the computer but instead use a card catalogue filing system like was used in the 1960s. Applecare says they do not know how to do this import operation. Gahhh!
I have the same issue with iCal. I have well over a decade's worth of events and notes recorded therein. I was told by Applecare that Mavericks will import the calendars, but only in one mass lump ... that is to say my distinct and individual calendars for business, medical, legal, etc. etc. will not be retained. Gahhh!
This is becoming a huge problem and instead of making my life easier it feels like using Macintosh is complicating things. My life is now in limbo fractured between two computers with different OS. My Macbook is useless to me as I cannot access the data I need to access with it. So now, I have two computers and my life is getting schizophrenic with a divide created. As the days and weeks and months progress it's going to become harder to bridge this and synchronize things ... I'll have two separate computing systems, used for different tasks.
I've been struggling with this for a few weeks with my new Macbook purchase. To make matters worse, I leave for Nepal in two days, for 4 months. I bought the Macbook for this trip but I cannot import my data into it. I'm at my wits end and deeply disappointed with Apple's lack of support.
If there an easy and reasonable way to do what I want to do?

By any chance are you running any Eset security software products (like Nod32) on that PC?
If so, there's a couple of alternatives.

Or, see if you can get hold of the Eset beta addressing the problem. As Samoreen notes in another post:
ESET have a workaround for this issue. They gave me access to a test version of the HIPS module and this fixed the problem. So I could re-enable the ESET_OPTIONS environment variable (although I still consider that it's a questionable idea). I upgraded to iTunes 11.1.5.5 and there was no problem.
So maybe you should get in touch with ESET support and request the new module ? Just send a message to Marcos in the ESET forum.

To get this info in the Sales order, following steps ways you can go:
1. Get Sales Order header GUID from table CRMD_ORDERADM_H, as you have OBJECT_ID.
2. Get the Sales order details by passing Header GUID to FM CRM_ORDER_READ and the exporting parameter table ET_PARTNER will give the parnter details of the Sales order. Read this ET_PARTNER table with partner function 0000001 i.e. sold to party which is customer number and check the ET_SALES Table where in PO_NUMBER_SOLD field will be refering to customer ref may be item level or header level depends on business,
3. regarding the Contact name..check what is business requirement whether end customer contact or contact person of the customer.

Sync calendar from iOS5 device to SL iMac via wire, and Lion Macbook via iCloud?

Hi all
I want to have one calendar updating across all devices. In the past I've updated it either on my iPod Touch or iMac, and synced it via iTunes. My Leopard Macbook, and my wife's SL Macbook, then subscribed to this calendar via iCalX, a web server I found. So the laptoops couldn't update the calendar but could at least see it. The iMac and Touch could update it.
So here comes iCloud. I now have a Lion Macbook Air, and I've updated my Touch and wife's iPhone iOS5.
But the main calendar is still on the iMac. I want to sync it to the Touch, and I can't do that via iCoud because it doesn't support SL (wife's computer also runs SL). So I need to continue syncing via iTunes between the iMac and iTouch. But I also want to sync via iCloud from the Touch to the MBAir and iPhone (ideally, finally, the iPhone could then sync via ITunes to the SL Macbook...)
Is this possible?

IPhone contact names vanished

Hi, I've iPhone 5. All of a sudden all my contact names are removed from the address book. even though i can see all the numbers with no names associated with it. This came from nowhere. Please help ASAP

I would like to try and put into perspective this statement you've made about 'Apple'., Your contacts were at a point in time on your 'Apple' iphone. That is a given as you would not now be asking about why they have disappeared. So now after me expressing my opinion on your comments lets see if we can't put together some trouble shooting to see if we can't get to your contacts.
IF your contacts were saved to icloud they are still in the icloud only gone from your device. Please read this article about how to use icloud and how to get icloud to send your contacts back to your phone in which they once resided.

Icloud provides for backups AND for contacts and calendars being stored. You are not forced to do a icloud restoration to recover calendar and contacts from icloud.
Please read this article about recovering contacts and calendars from icloud.
Please understand this only works with the idea that you have initially used icloud for your contacts and calendar entry storage.

Not sure when mobile me changed, but it was this weekend that my storage etc. lapsed (I have paid to keep storage with icloud). So i assume this has something to with it stopping.

Thank you Meta, but I could not get the calendar and contact sync with Gmail to work. Apple support already suggested to use Google or a Windows PC. Maybe I should actually reset and try my old Windows PC. Seriously, ... can this be the solution after a Mac OS update for pure Apple users?

Adding caller with name and number from call list to the contact list only inserts the number and not the name

I recently bought a BlackBerry Z10 and moved my cell service to Rogers to take advantage of the name display service offered by Rogers (Fido also offers this service).
Due to the number of calls that I receive from first time clients, I wanted the name display service to help me know who was calling. Evidently it is impossible to add clients to my contact list before they call me so I'm constantly seeing numbers that have no name to help me decide if I want to answer the call.
When I try to add a caller from my call list to my contact list, only the number gets inserted in the new contact. The name needs to be entered manually.
I understand and realize that not all call display formats are the same and that it's virtually impossible to parse the first and last names from the name portion of the caller id.
However, I would like to see BlackBerry add the functionality to insert the name portion of the call entry from the caller list to a "Nickname" entry in the contact list just like it adds the number to a "Home", "Mobile", or "Work" entry in the contact list.
If a user doesn't have a name display service, there would be no change to how their contacts are added because there is no name variable to copy over.
Can someone from BlackBerry please let me know if this feature can be added to BB10 and when it can be added? For me it's an obvious feature that should just work.
I am really enjoying my Z10 but I'm feeling let down that something so logical and helpful is not supported out of the box.

It appears that you are not aware of the fact that both Rogers and Fido offer name AND number display service (although the name display feature is an add-on service) and have been offering it for many years (since 2006). Here is a link to the name display service description of each provider...

My BlackBerry Z10 shows both the name and number when someone calls (and the caller is not in my contact list).
All I would like is for the Z10 (and Q10) to support the addition of the name and number from the caller list to my contact list without me having to type the name. As I mentioned in my original post, to avoid the OS having to parse the first name and last name from the name portion of the caller list entry the name could simply be added to the contact list as a "Nickname". If your provider only has number display, nothing would have to be copied from the name variable in the caller list to the contact list.
I find it difficult to believe that BlackBerry would not be aware of this name display service since it's been around since 2006 with both Rogers and Fido.
I hope I have clarified the reasons why I would like to have this feature added to BB10 and how it's surprising that this simple feature is not already a part of the BB10 OS.
Either way, I don't think this is a difficult feature for the BlackBerry team to add. They're just copying a 2nd variable from the caller list to the contact list.
I'm surprised that Rogers hasn't asked BlackBerry to add this feature to their phones. I think it would be a popular feature for those who receive a high number of calls from first time callers.
How can I get this feature request to BlackBerry for their consideration?

You would have to restore as new.

TS1347 I had to get a new hard drive on my laptop PC. Now I am unable to sync my contacts and calendar from my iphone to the outlook software on my PC. Although they are backed up on icloud, I really want the information on my computer.

I cannot figure out how to sync my contacts and calendar from my iphone with my windows PC. The message during the itunes sync process is that information is being backed up to both the cloud and my PC. However the Outlook software remains blank. What can I do??

When downloading any pdf file from the web using adobe Reader X the file name dialog box populates with incorrect file name
compared to the saved file name of the document downloaded.
Clarity
1. Download any pdf file from the web
2. Click File, Save as note the populated File Name
3. Compare the populated file name with the saved file name of the documant yuo are downloading.
4. The file Name is incorrect...

I've tried a couple of other versions and still get the same results...

Are you downloading the file (right-click, save link as), or just opening it by clicking it?
If the latter, then what happens is the file is loaded to the temporary internet files folder by IE and assigned a temporary name, which is then used when you're trying to save it.
You can test this out by going to File - Document Properties before trying to save and looking at the file's location.

I have checked "sync contacts", when it does the sync it says it is syncing contacts, but the address book on the iPad remains empty. I tried checking the box under "advanced" that says to replace the contacts information on the iPad, sync again, same result—an empty address book on the iPad. Any suggestions?
