Incorrect count for Flagged messages
I'm using Mail (Lion) with my Gmail account.
The current number of Flagged messages (the Starred messages in Gmail) is inaccurate. Messages that show up as unstarred in the Gmail web interface remain starred in the Mail app -- I've confirmed this with each message individually.
I should add that if I look up Flagged messages in the Smart Mailboxes list, I get an accurate count. I just don't see a correct count in Reminders > Flagged.
Apart from deleting my account and redownloading everything, is there something I can do to make the Mail app perform correctly? I had been using Sparrow but I'm tired of that app's ridiculously slow start-up speed.
Thanks
Just wondering if I have to delete my accounts and reconnect with Gmail here. Also, how else do I reset the Mail app?

Message retry count for the message has been exhausted
Hi,
I am using 'Custom Document Over Internet' with HTTPS as transport protocol. I have set the acknowledgement mode to Sync in order to receive the synchronous response. B2B is able to post the HTTP request successfully and in turn it receives a synchronous response and a MDN message. At the initial stage, after posting the request it shows the state as 'WaitForAck' for request message and for response and MDN messages, the state is completed.
After some time when we check the state of request it is changed to 'Error' with the error message as 'Message retry count for the message has been exhausted'. We have not set the retry count and retry interval and so after retrying for 3 times with an interval of 120 minutes it is showing error state as it is not able to correlate the incoming response to the corresspoding request. We have tried the option of setting the Message id of the request in 'replyToMsgID' parameter of response header and tested the flow. But still I am facing te same issue. Please help me to resolve this issue.Hi Anuj,
The property mentioned by NandaGopal has already been added in tip.properties file. I sent the B2B logs in debug mode and tip.properties file to your mail id. Please have a look into that. The result of opatch lsinventory command is

Mail rule for flagged messages
Does anyone know a way I could set up a rule so when I flag a read message it moves to a particular folder (mailbox)? Like, I get a "statement to view" message from a credit card company, but I don't have time to see it now, so I flag it and it moves to a folder called "Things to do later", or whatever...
Yeah, just create a smart mailbox looking for flagged messages.

OSX 10.9.5 Mail: Flagged messages not listed correctly and/or disappearing
I have a problem using Mail V7.3(1878.6) on OSX 10.9.5:
I have about 600 flagged E-Mails in various account inboxes and archived folders, some archives are stored local on the mac, others are archived in folders on IMAP servers (NOT gmail). Total number of mail messages across all accounts is approx. 34.000.
Since the 10.9.5 update, Mail shows no flagged messages anymore or behaves weirdly. If I flag a new message, it shows up but disappears again after a while, e.g. a restart. Searching for flagged messages shows no results, even though I can see hundreds of flags in my inbox behind the messages.
I have rebuilt the mailboxes and also rebuilt the index by removing the "Envelope.*" files in user/library/mail/v2/maildata as suggested in other threads a number of times, but nothing seems to change. After each Envelope rebuild, Mail shows flags again (sometimes the correct, sometimes the wrong number, only 100 odd) and after a while they disappear again. Making a simple smart mailbox with "mail is flagged" as the only option, the smart mailbox remains empty. This has never happened before 10.9.5.
I would appreciate a comment as to what is happening here. Seems this affects quite a few people based on the activity on this subject here and in various other Mac forums on the net, but no other solution has yet been given than rebuilding indexes, which obviously leads to no permanent fix.
Thanks.Restart the computer in safe mode. Certain caches maintained by the system will be rebuilt.
Safe mode is much slower to start up than normal. The next normal startup may also be somewhat slow.
When the login screen appears, restart as usual (not in safe mode) and test. There's no need to log in while in safe mode.
Note: If FileVault is enabled, or if a firmware password is set, or if the startup volume is a software RAID, you can’t start in safe mode. In that case, ask for instructions. -

Getting different message count for some mail boxes in a particular account
Hello,
I am using java mail api in my project.
I am using two methods
Case 1 :
folder.getMessageCount()
case 2:
getMessageCount(String folderName){
int iCount = 0;
Folder objFolder = store.getDefaultFolder();
if (folderName != null && folderName.equalsIgnoreCase("") == false) {
objFolder = objFolder.getFolder(folderName);
iCount = objFolder.getMessageCount();
return iCount;
I am getting different output from both the above cases.
I have tested both cases on many accounts and they give me same message count. but for one gmail account only they give me different message count for two folders, Inbox as well as Gmail/All.
Can anyone tell me the reason for this difference.Yes, in case 1, i first open the folder and then i call folder.getMessageCount().
I am using IMAP in both the cases
as i used Store store = session.getStore("imaps");
Yes, there is no new mail delivered to the folder when this methods are analyzed.
i am getting different count as
imap.getMessageCount() >> First way
imap.getMessageCount(Bi testing) >> Another way:-
imap.getMessageCount(Bi testing)--> Count = 4
imap.getMessageCount()--> Count = 4
imap.getMessageCount(INBOX)--> Count = 125
imap.getMessageCount()--> Count = 117
imap.getMessageCount(Personal)--> Count = 11
imap.getMessageCount()--> Count = 11
imap.getMessageCount(Receipts)--> Count = 6
imap.getMessageCount()--> Count = 6
imap.getMessageCount(Travel)--> Count = 36
imap.getMessageCount()--> Count = 36
imap.getMessageCount(Work)--> Count = 2
imap.getMessageCount()--> Count = 2
*imap.getMessageCount([Gmail]/All Mail)--> Count = 180*
imap.getMessageCount()--> Count = 161
imap.getMessageCount([Gmail]/Drafts)--> Count = 0
imap.getMessageCount()--> Count = 0
imap.getMessageCount([Gmail]/Sent Mail)--> Count = 40
imap.getMessageCount()--> Count = 40
imap.getMessageCount([Gmail]/Spam)--> Count = 0
imap.getMessageCount()--> Count = 0
imap.getMessageCount([Gmail]/Starred)--> Count = 0
imap.getMessageCount()--> Count = 0
imap.getMessageCount([Gmail]/Trash)--> Count = 15
imap.getMessageCount()--> Count = 15
In this two folders Inbox as well as [Gmail]/All Mail showing different counts when used on both methods. -
IMAP setting flags for DSN message problem
Hi,
I have a question about processing DSN flags using Java Mail.
We are trying to set SEEN and FLAGGED flags also for DSN messages (for any other messages it is working perfectly fine).
The problem is that no flags are set, no IMAP commands are issued.
For any 'normal' messages the IMAP command is issued (for example: A27 STORE 13 +FLAGS (\Seen)).
We are using Exchange Server 2007 with IMAP support enabled on the mailbox.
The strange thing is that i can manualy set SEEN and FLAGGED flags from Outlook on this DSN message and then print flags for this message from Java Mail.
Is there any standard for FLAG processing for DSN messages? Is this a problem in Java Mail / Exchange or some limitation? As I believe DSN in also a javax.mail.Message from the implementation point of view...
RegardsHi Bill,
This was a good point, about calling setFlags method on the wrong message.
The problem is because, we are dealing with Exchange bug described here:
BODYSTRUCTURE with "multipart" "signed" not parsing
and using workaround described here:
http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/faq-135477.html#imapserverbug
However, we were setting flags on message created using following code
SharedByteArrayInputStream bis = new SharedByteArrayInputStream(bos.toByteArray());
MimeMessage cmsg = new MimeMessage(session, bis);not on original message from the mailbox.

Incorrect Deployed To count for device licensing
My Deployed To count for device licensing says 22, but I've only deployed it to 6 machines. Is there a way to see what computers Adobe thinks are using licenses?
Did you ever get a reply or find an answer to this? I'm “missing” some licenses myself, and there is no information about this. Technical details for sysadmins are sorely lacking.

Contact photos wrong then search for unread messages
When I search for unread messages in apple mail, every contact photo is my profile photo instead of the contacts profile photo. Any ideas how to fix or is this a bug?
Thanks - I understand the read flag is set on the server, but I don't think that's the case here. Mail is not incorrectly reporting some messages as read when they aren't - it just has the count of unread wrong (in subscription folders, not in the inbox)...
Also although I do access mail from other machines/web client it happens when I haven't...
Ie
send mail to myself at address that gets filed into a folder by the server
no log on to mail from web or other computer
mail arrives in folder, reported by Mail as 2 unread messages
click on folder, resyncs very quickly, unread count revised to 1 (correct)
In fact once I was watching while a mail came in - the count first showed 1 (correct) then quickly changed to 2.
I'm not sure what extra info I can provide - I had imagined this was a common problem since through google I found many others observing the same behaviour (but no solution).
The IMAP account is with Fastmail, who I believe run Cyrus.
I have letterbox and IMAP-IDLE plugin, but this problem was happening before installation of both of those.
Thanks again,
PS
as a side note - my drafts folder (on the server) reports 2 messages unread (there are two messages in there) - is this normal? (drafts to be reported as unread) - I must admit I'd prefer they weren't. -

GorgeHi Gorge,
The "Ref count error..." usually occurs in case of Meta Data objects not being properly cleared. And yes, you have got the error in the right place, generally while creating tables / fields / UDOs. For this, you just need to clear the Meta Data object (At times even DI objects like Record Set) once they are used.
Eg: Release these objects in the below way in a Finally Block.
System.Runtime.InteropServices.Marshal.ReleaseComObject(oRecordSet);
Hope this helps.

How do I create a rule in mail that only applies to flagged messages?
I would like to create a rule in mail that would delete messages of a certain age, but I need to keep some messages safe. I would like to be able to flag these or put them in a mailbox and have a rule making messages with those flags or mailboxes safe from being deleted. Is that something I can do? Thanks!
You can create a local mailbox and move the messages you want to keep there. I don't see any kind to rule you can make to move a flagged message, so you would probably have to do it manually, unless you can use other criteria to identify messages you wish to keep.
If you're using the server settings in mail to determine the age before deletion, the local mailboxes would be safe from that deletion. You can set to store messages on server for up to 30 days before deletion. This will work for IMAP accounts, but don't apply to the inbox. Just to the other main mailboxes such as Sent, Trash, etc.
If you create a rule to delete messages after a certain age (outside of what the servers would do automatically), I think it would only work on the inbox if at all, but not sure. If it were applied through all, it would delete them from the local folders also.
You can create a smart mailbox and input certain criteria such as flagged, age. You could exclude any mailbox that you don't want to include, such as local folders, by adding that to part of the criteria. You would have to delete the messages manually as they accumulate. This would be useful when you save a lot of mail, but say you only want to keep messages less than a year old. This would help you instantly see messages that meet your deletion criteria without having to manually check messages for age. -
Not able to enter the count for physical inventory document in WM
Hi All,
I have created a Physical Inventory document using LX16 t-code (WM managed). Since the material and bin stock is zero and When I try to enter the count by ticking zero stock indicator using LI11 t-code, I am not able to save the document and system throws error "Finding empty Quants provided for" and message number is L4058.
Please let me know how to resolve this.
Regards
KrishnamurthyYes your understanding is correct but only thing I have not entered qty in the count field rather I set only zero stock indicator.
My requirement is " In Inventory (MMBE) stock of a material shows around "3000" qty. But In WM stock is "zero" and physically also "zero". so in IM also stock should be reduced to "Zero". So I tried of creating PI document in WM and then when I try to enter the count, I faced the menioned problem.

JMS sender adapter issue for encrypted message
Hello Folks,
We have JMS to AS2 interface facing issues when JMS sender channel read the encrypted files placed in MQ queue, messages size is
increasing to almost double when it reaches PI.
When sending an encrypted message from MQ to AS2, message is showing in success flag but inbound file size is increasing almost double the size, when compared to message size placed in the MQ Queue. When partner is decrypting the message he is getting total garbage values. But it working fine for unencrypted messages,we are getting the same size as it is in MQ queue.
Can you please trrough some light on the issue not getting excatly issue is in MQ or JMS sender adapter.
Kind Regards
Praveen ReddyHi Praveen,
the issue seems to be with your encryption/decryption mechanism rather then JMS adapter. if you have encrypted file in JMS queue then channel only pick the file and sent to target (i am assuming there is no tranformation). So it will not alter the file size.
Please check how the file is encrypted before it places in JMS queue.

Harish -
Flagged Messages Mailbox Doesn't Show in iOS 6
A touted new feature in Mail.app for iOS 6 is the Flagged Messages mailbox, but it doesn't show for me although I'm using only a standard iCloud account. That is, the only e-mail account on my device is iCloud. The also-new VIP mailbox shows... Just not the Flagged Messages mailbox. I can't find a setting on the iOS devices, my Mac (running Mountain Lion) or on the iCloud website to enable the Flagged Messages mailbox.
What have I done wrong?After talking to level two support to no avail....seems I have found a glich? Or maybe it's just the way it works.
1st you MUST have an email flagged.....second the flagged message must be in the general mailbox it arrived in, NOT moved to another folder within that mailbox. Works for me...Discovered this while on indefinite hold, lol..... -
Ref count for this object is higher then 0
Hi Friends,
I am facing problem of "Ref count for this object is higher then 0" when creating User define table / fields and at the time ot registration of object also. In my addon there almost 4-5 customized screens for which I have to create object. So I use SDK to create object
While creating object it creates 1st 4 fields then it shows error if I start it again then it create next 4 fields and show error in next 5th field.
I am using this code after creating udf
//For checking fields for already created and destroy the object by using this snippet
If System.Runtime.InteropServices.Marshal.IsComObject(rsRecordset) Then
System.Runtime.InteropServices.Marshal.ReleaseComObject(rsRecordset)
rsRecordset = Nothing
GC.Collect()
End If
if not exist then I create it and release the object by using this snippet
If Marshal.IsComObject(octfield) Then
System.Runtime.InteropServices.Marshal.ReleaseComObject(octfield)
octfield = Nothing
GC.Collect()
End If
//After creating fields I create registration and release object by using this snippet
If Marshal.IsComObject(udr) Then
Marshal.ReleaseComObject(udr)
udr = Nothing
GC.Collect()
End If
Thanks In AdvanceHello
Solution is very easy, and safe by the following methods. If you search the threads, you may find similar answers.
Step 1. Create each User Defined tables. When you have created one table, you can reconnect the DI API!
Step 2. Create UDFs-, and do not check whether is exists or not. You may check the Return value of add method, if you receive the field is already exists, you go to the next step
Step 3. Register objects
Here are examples
Private Function AddUDT(ByVal tablename As String, ByVal description As String, ByVal tabletype As SAPbobsCOM.BoUTBTableType) As Boolean
