  • ILife media browser has incorrect date for Aperture photos

    It looks like the iLife media browser use the date a preview was created as the date in the iLife media browser. Photos from the iPhoto library have the date the photo was taken.
    (A list view with file name, date and file size is available from a control click.)

    I got this to work by dragging a project out of my blue folders (it then showed up in iLife media browser), then I went back into Aperture, dragged it into the blue folder again, and quit Aperture. Just before quite Aperture updated the iLife preview exports and all of my blue folders and projects showed up in the Media Browser! Somehow dragging a project out and back in seemed to kick start the folder search.

    Calendar Tile on Windows 8.1 displaying incorrect date for icloud calendar but date icon displays correct date on iPhone 5 and iPad Air.  Date on Windows 8.1 is correct.  Thank you.

    Try doing  a reset on your phone. Sounds like your carrier's time set is not getting through to your device. If the reset doesn't do it, then go to Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings. That should do it.

  • 'Preparing data for exporting' takes forever (Urgent, please help)

    Hello,
    I'm currrently editing a 1920x800 anamorphic Full HD project on Premiere Pro CS5. The original full HD clips were replaced with AE-comps using Dynamic link for color grading. The project is 15 minutes long and mainly consists of linked AE-comps. The sound is filled with gunshot sound effects, music and original recorded audio. That audio is also linked with Soundbooth for some postwork.
    Here's the problem: when i hit the 'Export' on Premiere pro I get the window, i choose my settings (H.264 10 mbps) and then when I hit the 'Qeue' button it shows the progress bar 'Preparing data for export' and Media Encoder starts up normally. The problem is nothing happens afterwards. The project doesn't get loaded in AME and the progress bar keeps on telling forever that it's 'preparing data for export' Normally this process only takes up a minute or 2 max. How can i fix this?
    Editing rig:
    27 inch imac
    4 gigs ram
    2.53 i5 processor
    ATI 4850
    Please help me with this, my deadline is within 4 hours
    Thank you!

    I have some suggestions you can try.
    1. Can you try exporting directly from inside Premiere, instead of adding to AME from PR?
    - press the Export button inside the Export Settings Dialog, not the Queue button
    2. Can you import the sequence directly into AME?
    - launch AME, File menu\Add Premiere Pro Sequence
    3. Try using a different format other than, H.264.
    4. Try using PR CS5.5. You can download the trial version and use it for 30 days.
    Hope this helps. If not, please re-post with test results.
    Thanks

  • Sorting data for export

    I need to use one form (a questionnaire) with various groups.  Will the data for everyone who completes my form always be appended to the same file for export?  Can I export only part of the data (i.e. that for a specific group) instead of all of it every time?  Maybe include a required field called password that I can use as a filter variable before exporting?

    All of the data is put into a single response tab. You can filter the data and only export what is shown.

  • Best codec for exporting photo slideshow?

    I brought some H.264 640x480 30fps 4:3 slideshow clips created by iPhoto '08 into FCP 5.1.4 to string together and added some titles. My goal is to export some sort of output file that I can then convert to some other Windows formats I can't do from within the standard Quicktime Conversion dialog. What codec should I use for export that will minimize the re-compression of the original H.264 footage? It's about 15 minutes long. I have a good deal of disk space, but perhaps not enough space (or time) to export it uncompressed?

    Photo - jpeg at 75% assuming you will use QT in Windows.

  • Variable displaying incorrect data for selection in template

    Hello Friends,
    We have an InfoObject 0CALMONTH. On this InfoObject we have created a variable PERIOD (Z_INTER). This InfoObject and variable is used in two queries (A & B). In BEx the variable is working fine for both the queries, that means the variable shows the correct period (04/2005 to 01/2007). This data exists in our dataprovider.
    Now in a web template, I pull a chart and associate query A as the dataprovider and the variable works fine. It also does so if I associate query B as the dataprovider. The problem starts when I pull two charts, simultaneously in the template, and associate one with query A and other with query B. This time the variable acts funny and shows and incorrect period for selection (03/1995 to 03/2005). We do not have any data for the year 1995 to 2004 in the dataprovider.
    So you see individually the queries  (and variable) run fine but as soon as I ask them to co-exist in the same template, I get aberrations. We are not sure from where this previous years data is being pulled.
    Please assist. Thanks!
    Regards,
    Prem.

    Hi,
    I feel 1995 year data should be available in any one of the cube. Check the complete data in the cube directly with 'manage' tab or 'listcube' transaction code.
    And one more idea in my mind is, remove the variables from the queries and use 'filter' option in WAD for filtering the caleder month.
    Try this also: Use only one variable for both reports. I mean to say, remove variable in one report. Check whether both reports also running fine.
    Once you try this, let me know the status. According that we will try more things.

  • IPhoto displays incorrect dates for photos imported from iPod

    I recently purchased the iPod Camera Connector for use with my 4G iPod with color display (iPod Photo). I took a few pictures on my Canon SD110 digital camera and used the Camera Connector to copy the pictures to my iPod. I then plugged the iPod into the computer, opened iPhoto, and imported these pictures from the iPod. All of this worked without a hitch.
    However, I noticed that the roll of images that iPhoto created is dated incorrectly (it says 12.31.2000). The photos themselves have the correct date (5.21.2007) but the incorrect time (3:15p instead of 6:15p).
    My camera, computer, and iPod are all set to the correct date and time. Any idea what's causing this? It's not a particularly big deal as I can just change the dates on the rolls to match what the photos say (and adjust the times on the photos to be 3 hours ahead), but I shouldn't have to do this if all of the date/time information is set correctly.

    All photos from the My Photo Stream go into a monthly Event.  If you sort your Events by Date - Descending the most recent Events will be at the top of the Event window.  The monthly Events will look like this:

  • Incorrect rotation for imported photos

    Greetings,
    I just bought a new iMac from a retail Apple Store today, and I wanted to migrate all of my photos from my Windows 7 PC to the iMac.  First, I updated all of the software on the iMac to the latest versions.  I copied all of the photos (about 4,000) from the PC to a USB thumb drive.  I inserted the thumb drive into the iMac.  Then I opened iPhoto and imported all of the photos from the thumb drive.
    The problem is that many of the imported photos display in iPhoto with the incorrect orientation.  They all look correct on the PC.
    I can't perceive a pattern as to which photos are rotated correctly and which are rotated incorrectly.  My photo collection contains a mix of portrait and landscape photos, and I can find examples of both types which are rotated correct and incorrectly.
    If I select one of the incorrectly rotated photos and click File->Reveal in Finder->Original File, interestingly, the thumbnail for the file appears correctly rotated in the folder.  If I open the file, it appears incorrectly rotated in the preview.  Clicking File->Reveal in Finder->Modified File produces a file with an incorrectly rotated thumbnail.
    Because I'm dealing with over 4,000 files, the number of incorrectly rotated photos is in the hundreds, so I really don't want to go through my entire library and manually rotate the bad ones.  Any help is much appreciated.

    After some experimentation, I think I tracked down the cause:
    Today on my PC, I tried running a lossless auto-rotater program on all of the photos.  Sure enough, many of the photos that previously appeared to be rotated correctly were rotated incorrectly by the auto-rotater.  These incorrectly rotated photos match the incorrectly rotated photos in iPhoto on the Mac.  All of the incorrectly rotated photos seemed to be dated from 2007 or earlier.  I vaguely recall using some third-party app on an older PC back then that would automatically extract photos from my camera and losslessly auto-rotate them.  My suspicion is that this app would rotate the photos without correctly adjusting the orientation component of the EXIF data.
    My solution was to browse through all of the photos caught by my auto-rotater and fix them manually.  Since they were all from 2007 or older, it wasn't so bad to go through all of them.
    Thanks to everyone for the help.  You were clearly on the right track.

  • Incorrect data for proportional factor in query based on Planning Book

    hi,
    We have upgraded from APO 3.1 to SCM 5.0.
    Post upgrade, the proportional factor is being displayed incorrectly in the BEX query based on the Planning Book data if we run the query for multiple months.
    for eg,
    if, in the planning book, the proportional factor for months 10.2009 and 11.2009 are as follows :
    Brand  >> Month >> Proportional Factor
    B1 >> 10.2009 >> 70%
    B2 >> 10.2009 >> 30%
    B1 >> 11.2009 >> 80%
    B2 >> 11.2009 >> 20%
    When we execute the query for the above brands for months 10.2009 and 11.2009,
    then, at the total level, the % displayed is 100% and the data at brand level is halved.
    We do not have any exits or formulae operating at the key figure level in the query and hence are unable to figure out why this is happenning...
    Any clue on this ?
    regards,
    Anirudha

  • OracleDataAdapter.Fill returns incorrect data for small numbers.

    Hi All,
    Recently we moved to Oracle client 11.1.0.7.20 with ODP.NET and instant client.
    And we encountered the following issue.
    When FetchSize of the command is set to any value that differs from default for some number fields with size <5 incorrect values are returned.
    I used the following code to reproduce the issue:
    var query = "SELECT * FROM RT ORDER BY ID";
    var connectionString = "Data Source=(DESCRIPTION=(ADDRESS_LIST=(ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=TCP)(HOST=server)(PORT=1531)))(CONNECT_DATA=(SERVER=DEDICATED)(SERVICE_NAME=test)));User Id=user;Password=password;";
    var column = "IS_LEAF"; // data type is NUMBER(1, 0)
    using (var connection = new OracleConnection(connectionString))
    using (var cmd1 = connection.CreateCommand())
    using (var cmd2 = connection.CreateCommand())
    cmd1.CommandText = query;
    cmd2.CommandText = query;
    cmd2.FetchSize = 512*1024; // 512K
    var adapter1 = new OracleDataAdapter(cmd1);
    var table1 = new DataTable();
    adapter1.Fill(table1);
    var adapter2 = new OracleDataAdapter(cmd2);
    var table2 = new DataTable();
    adapter2.Fill(table2);
    for (int i = 0; i < table1.Rows.Count; i++)
    var row1 = table1.Rows;
    var row2 = table2.Rows[i];
    if (!object.Equals(row1[column], row2[column]))
    Console.WriteLine(string.Format("values don't match: {0}, {1}", row1[column], row2[column]));
    there are some ouput lines:
    values don't match: 0, 3328
    values don't match: 0, 3
    values don't match: 1, 3
    values don't match: 0, 318
    values don't match: 0, 264
    values don't match: 1, 10280
    values don't match: 1, 842
    values don't match: 1, 7184
    The column type is NUMBER(1, 0) and only values in the database are 1 or 0. So as you can see most of the values filled with custom fetch size are totally incorrect.
    We have several tables with small number fields and for some of them the issue reproduces but for others does not.
    And the issue doesn't appear:
    1. with Oracle client 11.1.0.6.20
    2. if I use data readers and compare values record by record.
    Our Oracle DB version is 10.2.0.4.
    Thanks,
    Maxim.

    For anyone that may find this at a later time, this behavior has now been corrected, and is available in 11107 Patch 31 and newer, available on My Oracle Support. Note that the "self tuning=false" did not work in all cases, so the only reliable solution is to get the patch.

    then run your script - I don't see what the problem is?
    You could* do something like -
    at 00:01 run a cron job that simply does something like this
    (I'm just giving outline - not a particular implementation)
    runs date
    gets the day, month and year from that -
    export MyDay=day
    export MyMonth=month
    export MyYear=year
    mkdir /path/to/dir/oracle/exp/$MyDay$MyMonth$MyYear
    At the beginning of your script, before going into SQLPlus

    Maybe this will be a help to get you started - it could probably be much more elegant in

    I'd be interested to see if this can provide the basis for a solution.

  • Location of xmp data for jpg photo

    Scenario:
    Edit a jpg photo in LR (let's call it photoname.jpg) - add cropping etc. Tell lightroom to "write metadata to file" (CTRL-S in XP).
    I cannot see the associated .xmp file in windows explorer..... however, going over to Bridge and "edit in ACR" - the crop settings done in LR are used - meaning that the .xmp is SOMEWHERE.
    I've checked, and my show hidden files is checked in windows explorer. I've done a global search on my harddrive for "photoname.xmp" and even "photoname.*". Nothing other than the original shows.
    Question:
    Where exactly is this .xmp sidecar file being stored for this jpg photo when I tell LR to "write metadata to file"?
    Thanks.

    Sidecar ".xmp" files
    Stores the settings in an XMP file in the same folder as the raw file with the same base name and an XMP extension. This option is useful for long-term archiving of raw files with their associated settings, and for the exchange of raw files with associated settings in multi-user workflows. These same sidecar XMP files can be used to store IPTC (International Press Telecommunications Council) data or other metadata associated with a camera raw image file. If you are opening camera raw files from a read-only volume like a CD or DVD, be sure to copy the files to your hard drive before opening them. The Photoshop Camera Raw plug-in cannot write an XMP file to a read-only volume and will default to writing the settings to the Camera Raw database file.
    These XMP files can be viewed in the File Browser by choosing View > Unreadable Files.

  • Use imported attribute to reference different meta data for export

    our HR system only provides the three letter country code and i would like to export to AD the two letter country code and the spelled out country name.
    maybe someone can provide the best way to do this. some questions i have had around trying to solve this are
    can you have a connector space object joined to multiple metaverse objects? a one to many relationship?
    could i create a new object_type country and have the person reference the country metaverse object?
    i'm trying to avoid adding more code, let me know if there is a way to configure what i am trying to do either in the sync engine or the fim portal.
    Thank You!
    edit: if it is helpful i have no problem importing the ISO-3166 data from a source like http://opengeocode.org/download/countrynames.txt into
    fim.

    You could project country objects into the MV from your file, but personally I would just create a new SQL table based on the country code file then join it to the HR table (assuming this is a DB feed - if not import your HR file into a SQL table
    first via SSIS). Then the countryName will be an attribute on the incoming person from HR. Something like
    create view vwImportNew
    SELECT tblHR.employeeID, tblHR.firstName, tblHR.lastName, tblCountryCode.countryCode, tblCountryCode.countryName
    from tblHR
    INNER JOIN tblCountryCode
    ON tblHR.countryCode = tblCountryCode.countryCode
    Then repoint your HR MA at vwImportNew and refresh the schema and the countryName will appear as an attribute ready for import flow
    Cheers,
    Dave
