Incorrect date year after import

I like to organize my photos by date. When I import my photos through lightroom 5, I specify in the metadata to organize by date, (in which it is listed correctly) and choose the destination folder. However, once I perform the import, it creates a completely separate folder under the year "2012". How can I fix this problem to import under the correct file dates?

How have you set the Destination options in Import? A screen capture of it would help.

Winmail.dat attachments after importing PST into online archive

Hi, we enabled the online archive feature on one of our Office365 exchange account. Later, we used the PST capture tool to import a PST file into the archive. Now after importing, the user came back saying he sees winmail.dat files as attachments. Prior
to uploading the PST to the online archive the attachments were visible normally. The PST file belongs to the same user. Its an old PST file attached to his mailbox since a long time. We then subscribed to the online archive plan for his account and used the

Reorganize folders by year after imported

Hello,
I just recently transferred 1000's of my photos to light room. Unfortunately I forgot to group all of the folders by an overarching year, so I have hundreds of folders with individual dates from each import (ex. 20010324). What I would really like is to have all photos in a corresponding year folder, and then within the date import folder (ex. 2001 > 20010324).
The only way I have found to change this is to create the year folder and drag each date import folder into that, but I cannot drag a whole group of folders, only one at a time... I am thinking that there must be an easier way that I have simply overlooked...
Can some one please point me in the right direction?

One way to do it, if you haven't done much work on your photos would be to reorganize them the way you want them, outside of LR. Make sure your folder structure is just as you want it. Restart LR, ignore all the error messages and files not found, etc. Create a new catalog, and then reimport from your top level folder. Be sure to check the option to import in place.
If you file structure was Photo Masters/year/whatever you would only have to reimport the Photo Masters Folders, the folder structure will follow.
If you've done work on your photos, be sure to write the data to the XMP files of the photos you've worked on, that way when they reimport, you'll have all your work.
Since you're importing the photos in place, this should go pretty fast.

Incorrect song list after import from CD

After importing, iTunes showed an incorrect songlist -- a different CD from the same artist. I manually corrected all the song titles.
It also will not get the album artwork, even though the CD is in the iTunes store for purchase - why won't it import the album in the coverflow mode?

Date mask after import

Hi,
After export -> import from one workspace to another in the same database (different schema) the date display is not correct on most pages in the application. In the old workspace the appears as '26-OCT-2009' and on the new it is '26-OCT-0009'.
The data when viewed in sql editor is fine. I can correct the format field but field but am looking for a global solution and explanation why it is changing in the first place?

IPhoto displays incorrect dates for photos imported from iPod

I recently purchased the iPod Camera Connector for use with my 4G iPod with color display (iPod Photo). I took a few pictures on my Canon SD110 digital camera and used the Camera Connector to copy the pictures to my iPod. I then plugged the iPod into the computer, opened iPhoto, and imported these pictures from the iPod. All of this worked without a hitch.
However, I noticed that the roll of images that iPhoto created is dated incorrectly (it says 12.31.2000). The photos themselves have the correct date (5.21.2007) but the incorrect time (3:15p instead of 6:15p).
My camera, computer, and iPod are all set to the correct date and time. Any idea what's causing this? It's not a particularly big deal as I can just change the dates on the rolls to match what the photos say (and adjust the times on the photos to be 3 hours ahead), but I shouldn't have to do this if all of the date/time information is set correctly.

All photos from the My Photo Stream go into a monthly Event. If you sort your Events by Date - Descending the most recent Events will be at the top of the Event window. The monthly Events will look like this:

Has anyone seen incorrect date metadata on import?

I'm importing HDV video and have tried it with both a Canon XH A1 and Vixia HV40. I'm seeing the date offset by exactly one day—what appears as 11/20/2010 1:30 PM on the camera gets imported as 11/19/2010 1:30 PM in FCP X.
I've confirmed that the date settings and timezone are correct on both cameras and my computer as Pacific Daylight Time. Playback on the cameras confirm the date as 11/20. And changing the date settings on the computer just confirms the correct time zone offset; i.e., setting the camera to Eastern Time brings the footage in as 11/19/2010 4:30 PM. So the date is still wrong, but at least I know the metadata correctly thinks it's in the Pacific time zone.
I can't say for certain that this is a new problem. Honestly, I've never looked at this closely before, but FCP X's ease of grouping clips and the smart collections make this metadata much more useful for me. Has anyone else seen this kind of date issue, or does anyone have a possible explanation/solution?

I just imported several HDV tapes from my Sony FX1 and I am seeing the "Content Created" date 5 hours earlier than the time reported on the tape. This camera does not have a time zone menu setting. Instead it has a "world time" setting that, of course, I never set and is currently at 0. So I did an experiment where I set my world time to -5 and reset the clock to the current time. Then I recaptured a short bit of footage. I still see the same 5 hour offset. Next I recorded some video with the adjusted clock and captured that. I still have the same 5 hour offset.
A standard definition DV tape recorded in October 2005 shows "content created" 1 hour later than the date on the tape. I should note this was captured on a Canon Optura Pi SD camcorder. Go figure. I would love any suggestions on how to get the time on the tape to match the time in FCP X. I don't see that it is very useful to capture much more footage till I figure this out...
Checking Final Cut 7 it does not appear that you can even display the content created date.

Sed bug: incorrect data handling after backreferences use

Short description: Data that are about to be written after a backreference, do overwrite of the line beginning instead of common concatenation at the end of line.
Simple example:
I have text file with some data:
$ cat txt
some text
some text
some text
This command would have its appropriate output:
$ cat txt | sed "s/$.*$/\1xxx/"
some textxxx
some textxxx
some textxxx
I told sed to grab all the characters on the line .* and to make a group from it $.*$ then to replace them s/$.*$/ for the group \1 and xxx after the group (in normal language, it means add 'xxx' at the end of each line).
It worked in 10.5.1, it works in Linux, it works everywhere.
However, after upgrade to 10.5.2, I get (it is the bug I think):
$ cat txt | sed "s/$.*$/\1xxx/"
xxxe text
xxxe text
xxxe text
As we can see, instead of addition of 'xxx' to the end of each line, it overwrites the beginning of the line with xxx.
As I've written above, it is an issue in OSX 10.5.2, because I've checked it in other systems (Gentoo Linux, Mandriva Linux, OSX 10.5.1) and it behaves well in these other systems.
(Note to my configuration: In my Mac OS X, I have installed develpoer tools, only a few OSX programs and I've installed (from the time when I had 10.5.1) mc, ffmpeg and vorbistools from "port". Nothing else is installed.)
Is it really a bug or do I miss something?

Since I am accustomed to Linux and its deterministic and simple behaviour, I am a bit confused by Mac OS X and its very intelligent behaviour, which is nice on the one hand, but confusing on the other hand. Well, I didn't know that.
I was doing something with many contacts in vcard 3 format and I had this problem, so I substituted the vcard data with "some text" data.
I have made an experiment showing my problem.
First, uname -a:

I have some contacts in Address Book. I have made a new folder on the desktop (btw I am using HFS+ filesystem) and picked one contact into the folder. It made vcard 3 file. It is renamed to "vcard.vcf".
Then, I opened it in TextEdit and saved it as "savedas.txt".
Then, I selected all the text in TextEdit, copied it to the clipboard, created a new plain text window and pasted it here. I saved this as "fromclipboard.txt".
Then, in Terminal, I opened nano and pasted the clipboard contents in nano, once more. I saved text from nano as "nano.txt".
And finally, I typed "cat nano.txt" and copied the text from Terminal to clipboard, made a new plain text window in TextEdit, pasted it in TextEdit and saved the text from TextEdit as "fromterminalviaclipboardtotextedit.txt".
Here is shown, what it does in Terminal:

Incorrect Table Counts after Import

Hi,
I'm currently involved in an upgrade from 4.6C to ECC6 EHP4 based on NW701. The upgrade and the export has completed successfully. I've completed the import successfully but have noticed that the tables counts on EDI40 & RFBLG have increased significantly, difference of 1367079 records for EDI40 & 613166 records for RFBLG.
I did have a problem during the import where the server crashed but these packages were not running at that time. They had completed prior to the hardware failure. The import logs all state that the packages have completed successfully. Both tables were split with the corresponding column specified from the R3hints file.
Environment Details:
OS: Linux RH4
DB: Oracle 10.2.0.4
Has anyone experienced this before? This now leads to doubts about the validity of all the other packages imported. Is there a way to verify the import besides doing table counts?

Incorrect data in ODS

Hi All,
we are loading data from one ODS to another with delta processes.The second ODS got some incorrect data Populated.After that I did a full repair load selectively for one record only from first ODS to another and it went fine.But when I am loading by full repair load the records for entire company code,one particular key figure is getting doubled for most of the records.I've checked there is no problem with the start routine.
Please let me know if I am missing anything in full repair load.

Iphoto is date stamping my imported photos with an incorrect year

I have imported a number of photos from my camera sd cards to iphoto via the card slot on my Mac. Some have been incorrectly year stamped (confirmed in the "info" button in iphoto) e.g. the latest import is showing 7 September 2012 and should be stamped 7 September 2013 and the photos are obviously catalogued in the incorrect date sequence in iphoto. Is this a software fault or can I fix this myself, please? The fault has occured with different sd cards.
HELP please.

You can fix it with the Photos Menu command to adjut date and time.

After import, image from camera replaced with old (and incorrect) image

i imported photos this morning. maybe 200. into Lightroom 5.6 (with
camera raw 8.6, running on macosx 10.9.5; see below for "system info"). the images came from my
Leica M Typ 240, and were in raw format. after importing the images, i
went through them in my first editing pass.
going through, image 1867 ("L1001867.DNG") in LR was *not* the same as
image 1867 on my camera, but was, rather, an image (no longer on the
card in my camera) from 8 months ago in China.
the image on the camera was from 07.10.2014 15:49.15 (following one
taken at 15:49:07, which *did* show up in LR). the *meta* data in LR
appears correct for the image from the camera (i.e, shows a date of
07.10.2014, has likely exposure information, etc.), but the image itself
is the wrong image.
the image in LR *may* have been one i deleted (in LR), though i don't
know that for sure. if i *did* delete it, i deleted it months ago.
the LR image was shot on 22.02.2014 at 02:51-02:52 (i typically don't
change the clock). while i don't know for sure the image number of the
image in LR, it *appears* to be image 1419.
obviously, this is fairly worrying (as i count of LR to keep my
inventory!). what can i do to help you troubleshoot this? what can you
tell me about what is happening?

it appears the actual image is probably in place, but the *preview* is incorrect. clicking on the image to zoom in causes (the normal) "Loading...", followed by a zoomed in view of the *correct* image. zooming back out gives the normal view of the correct image. (*very* good to know!)

Can not refresh snapshot changes after importing data of master site

I have two database computer,one as master site,one as snapshot site.Because the error of the hard disk of master computer,I use the exporting data file to recover my database.after importing ,I found I can't refresh the refreshgroup on snapshot,who can tell me why?

You haven't listed the errors that you're receiving when attempting to refresh your refresh group, but if your snapshots are attempting to fast refresh, I suspect it's because the creation timestamp of the snapshot log on the master site is newer than the creation timestamp of the snapshot. In this case you will need to do a complete refresh of the snapshot (or drop and recreate the snapshot) before you will be able to fash refresh it again.
If this is not the case, please post the errors you are receiving when you attempt to refresh the refresh group.

Why has my ipad lost connectivity to the AT&T cellular data network after upgrading to iOS 8.1.2? My iPad is model #MD367LL/A, 32 GB WIFI + Cellular, about 2-1/2 years old. It;s been working perfectly up until now. I have no problem on my home WIFI, or through personal hotspot working through my iPhone 5.
I have worked with AT&T, replaced the SIM card with a new one, and done a backup/restore to factory settings, all with the same result that when I turn Cellular
Data on, with or without Enable LTE, it goes into "searching" mode, or reports "no service". My iPhone 5 works perfectly on iOS 8.1.2, on Cellular. I've browsed the blogs and have tried Apple's suggested fix, all to no result.
Oddly enough, every once in a while I do get connected to the network for a short ime (minutes), but it always returns to "searching".
I've filed a report with Apple, along with a request that they contact me, but no results yet.
Help? (and thank you).

Hello razmee209. Thank you for your response. I spent the better part of yesterday working with Apple Support. They tried their best, to include backing up photos to my HP laptop, backing up the iPad to iCloud, then resetting the iPad in total. Same problem. I restored from the cloud to recover my apps, same problem.
AT&T installed a new sim card - same problem. I spent time with AT&T Support yesterday, too. In both cases, (Apple and AT&T) the support techs who worked with me were extremely polite, courteous and helpful to the best of their abilities, but I think the problem lies deeper, and nobody at Apple is admitting they have a problem with iOS 8, that I'm aware of.
I didn't have this issue before I upgraded to iOS 8.1.2.
Everything else with the iPad works fine: WIFI, Personal Hotspot, email, all my apps, etc.
In browsing the web for this issue I see that many other folks have the same problem. I filed a report with Apple this morning, requesting that they contact me, but no word yet. I was going to go to iPhone 6, and had been considering the iPad Air 2, but I see reports of this problem with those units as well.
At this point I don't think I'll be spending any more money with Apple, at least not till this issue is resolved.
