Incorrect display of HTML document in UWL

Hi experts,
we are using SRM 5.0 with UWL integration. If a workitem is rejected the requestor gets a notification in his SAP Business Workplace (SBWP). This notification contains a link to the SRM shopping cart.
The notification is also available in the UWL, but there all HTML tags are visible. It seems that in this case the UWL  is not able to display HTML notifications properly. Are there any additional settings necessary to display the notification? Maybe currently some kind of text format is set to default.
Best regards
Tom

Hi Manish,
I am able to see WBS Elements in MB51 Report after going to detailed list from the initial output page. In this detailed output the sender and receiver WBS Elements are getting displayed incorrectly. From that screen only,if I go to Material document list, sender and receiver WBS Elements are getting displayed correctly.

  • How to display html document in browser?

Hi, I want to display an html document in my directory using nescape. How can I do that?
I know that AppletContext can display html, but it has to be in URL.
How about a document in my directory?
    Help please.

    just specify the path, i.e. c:\my files\myDocument.html
    or
    file:///myfiles/myDocument.html
Of course, I use IE, so Netscape might not like it. but this works for IE.

  • HTML document on initial screen does not display

    Hi,
In thread Links on Login Screen
there is a description on how to display a html document in stead of a image on the initial SAP screen.
I tried this (uploaded a html document, set MIME editor, and customized the SSM_CUST table),
just to displaying a simple text like "Hello World", but however i keep getting a blank screen without anything in it on the initial screen.
If I display the uploaded html file in transaction smw0 (selecting it, and pressing the glasses),
a browser window opens and shows the expected content.
Any idea what i have missed, or what i can check?
    Thanks
    Rolf

Is it a blank html screen that you uploaded?
Try crating a html page with some content and then try to configure it.
Also, did you follow all the steps as -
Change the logo in the right-hand side of the initial screen
    -   To put your company logo in the right-hand side of the initial
        screen:
Put your picture in the database with the transaction SMW0
"Binary data" options, e.g. in ".GIF" format.
<b>Put a record with the picture name in the key "START_IMAGE" of
the table SSM_CUST in the View maintenance transaction SM30.</b>
    -   You can adjust the picture to the window size automatically or
center it in the right-hand side of the initial screen
("RESIZE_IMAGE" "YES" or "NO" in the table SSM_CUST).
    -   You can deactivate the picture globally so that noone sees it
with "HIDE_START_IMAGE" "YES" in the table SSM_CUST.
User-specific picture display settings are then ignored.

  • JEditorPane - backmapping highlighted text to source html document

    Hello everyone,
I have the following problem: I display a HTML document in JEditorPane. Then I highlight some chunk of text and get the start and the end selection offsets by using getSelectionStart() and getSelectionEnd() methods, respectively. What I would like to know is the exact position (character offset) of the highlighted text in the original HTML document that is being displayed.
Does anybody know the solution for that?
    Thanks.

I don't think it's possible. The parser builds a Document out of the text and doesn't keep the original source text. For example if your html is like this:
String text = "<html><body>     some     text     </body></html>";All the multiple spaces between the text is parsed out.
Use a JTextPane and use attributes. Its easier to work with than using HTML.

  • Incorrect font display in pdf document(web view)

    Adobe helpers,
I am encountering a  very peculiar problem with incorrect display of fonts in pdf documents when viewed in a web browser. Briefly, the problem typically affects  the first page of a pdf document, the font being displayed as an unidentified mix of large and very small, skinny type.  Other pages may or may not be affected, and if one back-clicks to the previous page the text often displays the correct font, so the problem is in some (but not all) cases non-persistent.  The problem however is resolved completely if I uncheck the 'display pdf in browser' option  under edit>preferences in adobe reader. Fonts I use include Arial, Cambria, Franklin Gothic Book, and Garamond; as straight-up pdfs, the documents look fine. FYI, I have Adobe reader X 10.0.1 (Win 7) and 9.0 (Win XP sp3) installed on two different machines. Firefox 3.6 and IE9 are equally at fault. FWIW, all the pdf documents begin life as MS Word or Publisher 2010 documents, which are converted to pdf within these applications before publishing to web.   Since I can't control how people choose to view web pdfs, I'm concerned that display of the prone documents is impaired when viewed in a web browser.
Not sure if this is a reader, browser, or distiller problem but this seems a logical place to start looking for answers. Any thoughts?
    Thanks!

I've also had problems printing with Reader X.
When printing an attachment from an email in Outlook, if I don't open the attachment first, sometimes it doesn't print correctly as everything shows with the following number or letter. Example 12345 will print as "23456" and invoice will show as "jowpjdf". Even if I open the attachment, sometimes it will print the first page ok, but the next pages will "mppl mjlf uijt".
Never had this problem with previous versions.

  • Display word/pdf document in the HTML region or report

    Hi,
How to display blob content stored in a table in HTML region or report region.
I already have a process to display the image content.
But my question here is how to display word/pdf document within the html region so that the user can read the document without downloading it.
Any suggestions/solutions would be of great help.
    Thanks in advance...
    Thanks,
    Ramesh P.

    I was dead wrong.
The display of images from BLOB is a special case because APEX provides a Display Image item type.
Moreover, HTP/HTF packages also do not provide for handling of BLOB content. So AJAX cannot be used.
Which implies that the only way to get binary content, other than images, is with the use of a WPG_DOCLOAD.DOWNLOAD_FILE call.
This in turn implies that it may not be feasible to "inject" the BLOB into an exist HTML DOM in the Browser.

  • Firefox incorrectly identifies .xlsx attachments as Firefox HTML documents

When I try to open attachments with .xlsx file extensions, Firefox identifies as a Firefox HTML document and the "open file" window does not show Excel as an option - when I try to Browse to Excel the window does not open to "my programs" where I might be able be able to designate the correct association. (it shows "Program Data" and "Program files" but these don't work to make the association. The file will save ok but, I want to be able to open them as I can easily do in IE. Is the only solution to give up on Firefox and go back to IE?

When I get to the content type window, there is no reference to Excel or .xlsx or anything similar, so I cannot change anything in the Action choice..

    Hi Saurabh,
Using the presentation settings in Details can sometimes
be tricky since it remembers the context of which iView
called it. Make sure you open the details out of the iView
in which you want the customizations to be in effect.
Otherwise, changing it in the configuration is a
bit more straightforward in its effects.

The best audience for applets is people off the internet. 'People off the internet' might be using a computer that has no (what was it?) 'open.html' in the root of the C: drive. In fact (shock horror) they may not even be running Windows, and would therefore probably have no 'C:' drive at all.
If you do not intend to distribute this to people off the web, an application makes a lot more sense, but even then, you cannot rely on the document being there unless you 'put it there' (during installation, for instance).
As the other poster intimated, applets can load documents off the local disk as long as they are trusted. Here is an example*, but note that it is not so rash as to presume any particular path or file, and instead leaves it to the user to choose the document to display.
    * The short code can be seen at SDNShare on the [Defensive Loading of Trusted Applets|http://sdnshare.sun.com/view.jsp?id=2315] post.
On the other hand, a sandboxed applet can load any document coming from its own server via URL, or get showDocument(URL) to work. In that case, the JRE must recognize that the URL is from its own server, so the best way to form URLs for applet use is via the URL constructor
new URL(getDocumentBase(), "path/to/open.html");That is how I form the URL in this [ sandboxed example of formatting source|http://pscode.org/fmt/sbx.html?url=/jh%2FHelpSetter.java&col=2&fnt=2&tab=2&ln=0]. Of course, in this case the applet loads the document, then parses the text to draw the formatted version, but the point is that an URL produced this way will work with showDocument(URL).
I am pretty sure showDocument() in an applet off the internet will work with an URL pointing to a foreign (not its own) server, but it will not be able to load documents off the end user's local disks.
I suggest a couple of things.
    - Try to express this problem in terms of what feature it is that you want to offer the end user. Your question jumps directly to a bad strategy for achieving ..who knows what? An example of a feature is "Shows the applet 'help' files on pressing F1".
    - A good way to indicate interest in a solution is to offer [Duke stars|http://wikis.sun.com/display/SunForums/Duke+Stars+Program+Overview] to match that interest.
    Edit 1:
..and please figure out how to use the CODE tags.

  • Internal Links in HTML Document Not Working Correctly in PDF

I have an HTML document that contains internal links (basically a Table of Contents). When the document is displayed in a browser, the internal links work correctly. However, when I use Acrobat 8 Professional to create a PDF version from the HTML source, the links don't go to the correct place when clicked. It almost appears that they are off by one, e.g., link 7 goes to anchor 8. I can send the source document for you to look at if you email me at eharris -at- synnovation.com. I am not expert in HTML and perhaps the links/anchors are not done correctly when I create the HTML document. Does anyone have any ideas on this?

This one has the same problem. For instance, "Anchor1" as <a name="Anchor1"> appears 13 times. I am sure that your problem is that Acrobat is going to the last occurance that is just before the first one. As I scan through the file I find similar results for all of the anchors. When I used Tidy, it reduces about 1350 errors to about 474, but that is still not too good. The validator is flagging a lot of identical IDs as well as unrecognized attributes (like ONSELECTSTART). The attributes correctly accepted by body are
    Attribute Specifications
    * BACKGROUND=URI (background image for document)
    * BGCOLOR=Color (background color for document)
    * TEXT=Color (text color for document)
    * LINK=Color (link color for document)
    * VLINK=Color (visited link color for document)
    * ALINK=Color (active link color for document)
    * ONLOAD=Script (document has been loaded)
    * ONUNLOAD=Script (document has been exited)
as listed on htmlhelp.com for HTML 4. There may be some new ones in HTML 5, but I did not check.
I am not looking at all of your HTML in detail, but there appears to be a lot of unneeded things based on the error messages from the validator. Many browsers will let you display the stuff (even Acrobat), but there may be errors that crop in when you do not expect it or on some other browsers that the one you check. Thus again, you should use a validator. If you are only off a few tags that might be fine, but when it is in the 1000s, there is an issue. It would also be good to break your page up into parts. It is good practice on web pages for each page to be not much more than one screen. That is often exceeded, but 59 screens of info (on my screen) is a bit much. The TOC is definitely needed in that case, but just was well go to a sub page just as well and make the info easier to track. A PDF (as you are trying to get) could be made of the entire system for those that want it all in one bit. Bill

  • How to display the HTML File Titles instead of File Names

    Hello All,
I want to display the HTML file titles instead of File names in the Search Results. I've tried to give this command in the 'Visible Properties' in the 'SearchResourceRenderer' as:-
    Visible Properties: rnd:displayTitle
However this is not working for me. If anyone has an idea of what to pass here or any other alternative to display the Titles.
    Regards

    Summary of steps:
    1) Standard Layout Set used: SearchResultLayoutSet
    2) Create a new layout set using ADVANCED COPY
    3) Change properties as you require
    4) Next modify the search OTH file to reflect this newly created Layout Set (under KM > root > etc > oth > search.oth edit xml file property rndLaoutSet from SearchResultLayoutSet to MyCustomSearchResultLayoutSet)
    5) Check in the document to complete the editing process if Edit Locally is used!
    6) Lastly, activate the OTH file by –
    •     Setting Debugging settings via Debugging Settings
    •     Performing a normal search
    •     Clicking Rendering information and then following link OTH Overview click on Reload
    7) Reload above reloads the OTH file and performing search again will yield the desired result
    8) To turn off the Rendering Information link remove the user id from Debugging Settings.
