Incorrect exchange rate on credit memo.

BW Experts:
We are on SAP_BW700 0021 SAPKW70021 SAP NetWeaver BI 7.0     Component Supp. Pkg..
Credit memos loaded into the 0sd_c03 sales overview cube is not using the exchange rate from the base billing document.
It is using the exchange rate on the day the credit memo is posted.
Ex:
Billing date = 9/30/2010   uses exchange rate on 9/30/2010.
Credit memo created = 10/05/2010 uses exchange rate of 10/05/2010. It should use the exchange rate from 9/30/2010.
What do the experts suggest to fix this issue.
Thanks

Hi,
You have to clear the "Alternate exchange rate type (ert)" for the currency pair you are interested in the "define translation ratios for currency translation" screen. You can navigate from the img to Currencies to find the transaction.

  • Incorrect Profitability for AR Credit Memo

I have facing a problem of Incorrect Profitability in AR CreditMemo.
I created a AR CreditMemo for 100pcs an ITEM A at $10. Now this credit memo is showing a loss of $1000. If my item purchase price or last cost is $9. Then it should show me a loss of only $100 instead of a loss of $1000 right?
Have anyone come across this? How can i fix this error.
    My inventory method is FIFO.
    Please let me know.
    Thanks

    Hi Raghu,
How did you created this AR CreditMemo?  Have you copied from your AR Invoice using "Copy to" function from that invoice, or else?

  • Incorrect Exchange Rate Differences Generated

    Hi All,
    My client's version is 8.8 SP0 PL21.
I run the Exchange Rate for GL Account (eg Bank Account) to revalue it at month end.
    The local currency = USD.
The EUR Bank Account Balance is USD 1900.00  with EUR 1400.00 (as example). It is a Debit Balance in the GL.
The Exchange Rate Differences generated shows me USD -1900.00 and EUR -1400, Rate @ 0.70 = USD -100
    It should show me USD 1900 --> EUR 1400 --> @ 0.70 --> USD 100.
Can anyone advice? Why the account balance is not display as per account balance with positive balance instead of a negative balance?
    Regards
    Jessie

    Hi Jitin,
The "Display Credit Balance with Negative Sign" is ticked. So, only Credit Balance will display with negative.
I have checked the Demo Company, it is also showing the same display. The Customer's positive balance is displayed as negative value in Exchange Rate Differences.
I think this is a bug. I have checked the setup of the "Display Credit Balance with Negative Sign" is the same as my cusotmer's database setup.
Seems that no one has reported this issue. I will log a Message with SAP.
    Any further advice.
    Regards
    Jessie

    Hi,
We have two exhange rates set up for each year from EUR to USD
    01.01.2009
    01.02.2010
But the table COSP is still showing the controlling area amounts(WKGxx) for the corresponding object currency(WOGxx) taking the exchange rate date of 01.01.2009, even though new rate is there for 01.01.2010.
    Can someone help me please?

    Hi
Check the posting date for the line item you are checking
Items posted earlier will still be at the exchange rate valid at that time.

  • Incorrect Exchange rate used for return deliveries

Hello Friends I have following problem can someone please help
Germany has produced a return document for a delivery in the month of April. The document type WL (GR) has been used for this. The customizing is set up for this document type to use the exchange rate type P. Anyhow, the system has used this x-rate type for the entry on the account 5000000 but the account  5500000 was translated with a different x-rate. After investigating we found out that the x-rate used is the ZPLN rate which was due on document day plus one (13th of April). As a result the account clearing with the transaction F.13 did not work. Additionally a PPV (exchange rate related) has been booked to bring the journal to zero were no PPV should have been booked.
After my research i found Return was done for 7 pc u2013 based on different exchange rate than goods receipt (exchange rate type P) u2013 now we are not able to clear this documents (using F.13) becouse amounts are not balanced.
Could someone Please  help.and provide details what i need to do fix this

  • Change Exchange Rate in VF02 T-code

    Dear Friends,

    Dear Customer,
In standard system, if there is a manual entry in the sales
order field VBKD-KURRF (Goto -> Header -> Accounting), then it is copied
into VBRK-KURRF. Otherwise VBRK-KURRF is determined automatically
during invoice creation. See the note 36070.
please have a look at the following notes:

  • User-Exit to change/Calculate the Exchange Rate

    Hi ALL,
I am looking for an user-exit that can be used to change the Exchange Rate during the billing cycle. I want to claculate the exchange rate based on the translation date (BKPF-WWERT).
    BR,
    Tanmoy

    Hi ALL,
This is a very tricky issue.
The table BKPF has a field called WWERT (Translation Date). Now we want to calculate the Exchange rate based on the translation date. The table BSET has two fieds LWSTE (Tax Amount in Country Currency) &
LWBAS (Tax Base in Country Currency)  and they must get updated with correct values based on the translation date, but thats not happening as the exchange rate is calculated based on the posting date/billing date. The exchange rate is determined from the TCURR table but its taking the incorrect Exchange rate.  I need to find out the way so that I can correct it.
