Incorrect number of questions being displayed

I have created a set of 12 question in Captivate 4 (Windows XP), and the "number of questions" indicated both on the final "summary" slide and also the slide counter (slide x of y) both say there are 13 questions yet there are only 12 questions.
There are only 12 questions...anyone have any ideas why this is and how to fix it?

Quiz slides showing incorrect number of questions

Morning everyone...
I have courses that I have uploaded to our LMS. These have
2-3 questions at the end of each course. The problem is that when
taking the course and you get to the quiz questions; it will say
question 1 of 5 yet there are only two quiz questions. Why is this
happening? Is there a way to fix?

Easy fix. You probably have Click Box objects on prior slides
that are being factored in. Try tapping your F9 key to open the
Advanced Interaction dialog. Then you can turn off the scoring for
the Click Boxes and make that Question count accurate.

Math characters are being displayed incorrectly in a webpage. eg. Þ is being displayed instead of what I think should be ⇒

I am using Firefox 24.0 in Linux Mint.
I am currently doing a math test. Incorrect characters are being displayed.
There are only true/false questions on this math test. The questions on it are supposed to be very easy basic algebra questions, but because the characters are not loading properly, I cannot tell what they are.
A few examples from the test:
Are the following statements true or false:
|-7|=Ö49=7
Ö8-Ö29=Ö(-21)
Ö8-Ö29=-Ö21
3x=6 Þ x=2
(x-2)(x+2) = 1 Þ x-2 = 1 or x+2 = 1
Based on how they are being used, I assume Ö should be a √, and that Þ should be a | or ⇒
What is happening here? How do I fix this?
Are my guesses correct?

What font is specified if you check that via the right-click context menu in the built-in Inspector?
Can you post a link to a publicly accessible page (i.e. no authentication or signing on required)?

ITunes App icon displays incorrect number of updates

Am currently running iTunes 11.03 but this issue has been around for several months. The App icon in iTunes indicates there are 38 updates available. After downloading them and syncing with my iPhone 3GS, the icon contiues to indicate 38 updates being available. Is there a way to reset the update counter?

When the export conversion completed, the correct number of songs was displayed on both libraries. Thank You.

Bullet (unordered) sublists within number (ordered) lists are displayed incorrectly

In my FrameMaker source, I've got the usual L1 Bullet List,
L2 Number List, L3 Bullet Sublist, L4 Number Sublist styles
defined. I've imported the source by reference into RoboHelp, and
I've mapped the FrameMaker styles via fmstyles.css to RoboHelp
styles. I've resolved almost all the style issues, but a nasty one
remains: Bullet sublists within number lists are not displayed
properly.
All the combinations of lists and sublists look fine in
FrameMaker. In the help (WebHelp) that RoboHelp produces, bullet
sublists within bullet lists are displayed as I would expect: The
sublists are indented and have a different bullet style (circles
rather than disks) relative to the "parent" list. Bullet sublists
within number lists, however, are displayed incorrectly. They are
indented too far (twice as far as I they should be), and they use
the wrong bullet style (circles rather than disks). No matter how
many times I use the style editor to try to convince RoboHelp to
display bullet sublists within number with the correct indentation
and bullet style, I get the same result. Has anyone every fought
this battle and won? If so, how did you do it?

I think you cannot mix bullet and numbered lists at different
levels during the import because RoboHelp makes one single list out
of the entire list/sublist order. I.e., after the import, all list
items are simple items in one list even though they belonged to
different list levels in the original document.
I did succeed in using bulleted sublists within normal bullet
lists. I created a second CSS style in the import dialog (with a
larger indention) and mapped it to the FM-style that resembles the
sublist items.But due to RH putting all items into one list, you
cannot mix different bullet styles. Most browsers will ignore this
and display a sinlge bullet style for all items in the list.

Incorrect sender name, subject, and photo being displayed in Mail

For many of my emails, the wrong persons name, photo and subject are being displayed for emails.
Anyone have this happen to them? And does anyone know how to resolve it? We've tried reinstalling the software.

I get something very similar.
I send an email message and it goes to the correct recipient, and the long header says it goes to the correct recipient. However, the one line header in the mail window showing me all my mail says it has gone to someone else. It seems to happen randomly, and the name seems to be a random name from my address book. It does not happen to all my mail (maybe one message in 50).
It gives me a heart attack every-time because I think I have made a mistake.

ESS - Family Members - Incorrect gender being displayed for Children

Hello,
On the "Family Members/Emergency Contact" page in ESS the Gender of the children is not being displayed properly. The first child displays with the proper gender but after that each subsequent child is being displayed with the same gender as the firts child.
For example, if the first child displayed is Male then all others will then be displayed as Male regardless of whether they are Male or Femail.
Any help is appreciated and thanks in advance.

ITunes Displays Incorrect Number of Songs?

I have an itunes library that shows 10K+ songs. I have imported these songs using the lossless setting. I have run a batch export of the entire library to convert all songs to MP3. I have created a new library on a seperate drive for this process. The problem is that the new MP3 library now shows over 13K songs. My original lossless library has gone through several updates over time. I have checked for duplicates but the new MP3 library appears to be the same as the original lossless. Can anyone tell me how to correct the number of songs in my original library? Thanks!

Thanks for the quick response.
I have a number of slides which act as a training module. The quiz follows this. All the answers to the quiz are in the module slides. I'd like the user to be able to see which questions they're failing on, but not be shown the answers, as, if they are failing the quiz, the whole module needs to be reviewed and the test retaken.
If this isn't possible, I'll probably just remove the review option, thereby meaning my retake button can stay, and the user can just go back and re-read the module slides to learn the answers.

Incorrect feedback response is not displaying

Using Captivate 5.5, we have an issue on some questions where the Incorrect feedback caption is not displaying when users submit specific incorrect answers. The question are pretty basic. Four option multiple choice marked to shuffle answers. Submit, Back, and Clear buttons. Captions marked for Correct/Incorrect and Incomplete. User gets one attempt to answer and OnSuccess and Last attempt are marked to Continue with presentation.
But when users select certain options the Incorrect caption does not show and the course immediately skips to the next page (per the Continue option). What is strange is that the option that triggers this behavior is which ever option is in the first (A.) position in the Authoring environment. So if you have the following options listed in the Authoring environment with C being the right answer.
A. Red
B. Blue
C. Green
D. Yellow
After publishing, if a user selects Red regardless of what position it is displayed to the user due to shuffling options - the Incorrect caption will not display.
Users selecting other incorrect options or the correct one get their feedback caption and then continue as expected.
What is causing this behavior?

You can move it off stage slightly so that none of the text appears, but at least SOME part of the caption MUST still be sitting on the stage area otherwise you will have the same issues. The alternative is to make the font size very small and remove all but a full stop or something. You can also colour the full stop so that it is the same colour as the background. Just remember that these captions are ALWAYS at the top of the stacking order for any other objects you add to the stage. So you cannot add a graphic on top to hide them.

Images not being displayed in metro apps

OS: Windows 8.1 enterprise
Images are not being displayed (a small cross mark shown on the left) when I open metro apps that I download from Store. The store as well doesn't show images. I am able to see images in some built in metro apps like travel and weather.
What's the fix. I guess the company network is blocking it. What is the work around?

NOTE: This is WINDOWS 8.1 METRO UI issue. It doesn't have anything to do with VISIO. The only option that I had to choose when i selected Windows 8.1 is VISIO. This site appears to be broken and not user friendly.

Which metro app did you download and occur the issue? As you post the question in Visio forum, did you use Visio 2013 preview? As far as I know, the version had been off the store after the official version released.
If I misunderstand, please give me more information (Such as App name) or images about your question.

Crystal Reports 2010 SP1 on IIS 7.0 - Report is not being displayed

Finally, the keycode assembly, BusinessObjects.Licensing.KeycodeDecoder.dll error is gone, after I installed Crystal Runtime 2010 SP1. Also, I tested Crystal Report 2010 SP1 on my Windows 32 application and I can tell that I do not have this error anymore and report is being displayed properly.
But Crystal Report is not being displayed on ASP.NET page on MS Server 2008 standard edition SP2 with IIS 7.0. Database resides on iSeries remote machine.
The MS Server 2008 is virtual machine.
OS system has:
Crystal Report Basic Runtime for Visual Studio 2008
SAP Crystal Reports Runtime engine for .NET Framework 4 (32-bit)
Simply the report is not being displayed at all. No errors are being recorded in the Event Viewer.
Nothing happens; excerpt the page is Loadingu2026 and Waiting for u2018website nameu2019 in the left lower corner of Firefox web browser.

I checked the web.config file, all http handlers are there. I think the handlers are required to render the images on crystal report viewer but in my case the report viewer is not being rendered.
I have to questions:
1. What exact folders should be under aspnet_client\system_web?
In my case I have structure like this

aspnet_client\system_web\4_0_30319\crystalreportviewers13
Should I have folders something like this

Excel Output is being displayed as HTML in the browser

Hi All,
I am using PeopleSoft XML Publisher 5.6.2 to generate an Excel report using RTF template. The report runs successfully.
However, when I click the Output file link in the View Log page of process scheduler, the file is being displayed as a HTML page, though the extension of the file is .xls.
Also when I try to save the file by using 'Save Taget as' option, the browser prompts me to save the file as 'mhtm' file and not 'xls' file.
The following is an extract from the output file.

After doing some research on Internet, I found the following blog post(dated back in 2008) to describe my situation and a workaround to the problem.

Workaround described in the above blog post is to update the charset to us-ascii replacing UTF-8. This seems to work. But with limited file processing capabilities of peoplecode, this workaround is not a simple solution.
I also verified the mime-type mapping in the web.xml file in the webserver. Please find below the .xls mime-type mapping in the web.xml file.

Question:
1.How do I force the browser to open the excel output file using either Excel plugin or Excel Application instead of displaying it as HTML page?

Please try this by Open windows explorer, Click Tools -> Folder Options ->,Click on File Types and Select XLS from the list, Click Advanced, select "Open" and Make sure the “Browse in same window” is not selected.

Grey screen and "incorrect number of thread records"

I think I am in trouble. My eMac will not boot and gets stuck on the great screen with the Apple logo and the spinning windmill. I have followed the instructions in the Apple help article up to but not including "archive and install". I tried the advanced secure boot and the messages I got over and over were "HFSSWAPHFSPlusBTIternalmode: catalog record #30 keylength=34 expected=144 node=15278 File ID=4 volume= Macintosh HD device=/dev/disk 0s 10"
And

I rest the PRAM and NVRAm as instructed.
I booted from the OSX 10.4 install disk and ran the verify disk and repair disk sequences several times. It did repair a number of things but it kept coming back to "

What should I do? I am NOT BACKED UP! How do I back up now? Can I usean external Hard drive? I really do not want to lose my photOs, email and business files.
