While changing the posting period in GR creation, I am getting the below error:
Incorrect period in control rec. of CoCd HITA; no conversion
The current period (month/year) of the control record is122006
Seeking for expert's help.

                             period- 08.09 (like month)
                         fiscal yaer -2009

as i was sugested by u i have tried mmpv
now the problem is msg comming incorrect period in control record for co cd xyxy. so no conversion the current period of the control record is 12-2002

Firstly check the open periods for the compnay code in OMSY...
If its not open then try in the MMPV to open it...
You can also open it in OB52..which is FI trasaction...it open/close the two periods consicutively...
You can reopen the periods but its not recomended...you can use MMRV..for back posting allowed...
or else check this
goto SU3
select user profile
in parameter ID give MMPI_READ_NOTE , and in parameterr value enter todays yyyymmdd and save.
and goto MMPI intialise the periods to present one at a strech.

Capital Investment Area was posted Depreciations in an incorrect period, they skip a period.
Can you determine if we can reverse those postings so that they can post in the correct period?

Thanks for your answers, the solution would appear to be that the commitments have been accidentally carried forward into 2010 Fiscal instead of 2009 fiscal.
There are no Invoice plans set up on the PO's, thanks for that suggestion though.
The reversal in KSCF does not work and produces an ST22 error dump on our system.
SAP note 971411 appears to fix the error so we will implement the note and hopefully be able to reverse out the commitment.

"Incorrect period" error while executing J1INQEFILE

Hi
I am running J1INQEFILE. I gave company code as 1000.
Fiscal year 2011.
Period: 09 (as december is 9th month of FY 2011)
Fiscal Period: 01.12.2011 to 31.12.2011
Clearing Date: 01.12.2011 to 31.12.2011
When i press enter, it gives error: Incorrect Period and cursor moves to Fiscal Period.
Please tell me what is the error. I am trying for invoices that are posted in december 2011.

Deepak, are you follwoing the FYV of April to March?
If yes, Q3 is fine.....if not you need to select Q4.
Second thing is...Have you done the J1INCHLN transaction for those Vendors?
If yes, are they appearing in J1INMIS and J1INBANK

Unable to delete period from Periods in Control tables

I am trying to delete period 'Sep' from Periods in Control Tables.
But getting msg as 'FDM was unable to find the Record to delete'.
Not sure whether the record got deleted internally.But I can still see it in my Period list in Control tables.
Cud anyone suggest how shud I delete period from Control tables and where these periods are stored internally in FDM??

Hi,
There is also a note in Metalink which suggests the record be deleted from workbench client. I did that and it worked. The cause is stated as the record not being entered correctly, and hence the application is unable to find it.

Posting period in controlling is to maintained in the same way as we do in FI.

Open and close posting period authorization control TCODE: S_ALR_87003642

HI All,
Is there any chance to control the user to open and close another company code posting period variant in TCODE: S_ALR_87003642.
In our system we are using the same client for different countries. So user can able to change the other country company code posting periods.
We would like to control either on the country (or) organizational unit(company code) (or) posting period variant so that user can only open/close their country / company code posting periods.
Our present authorization role for open and close posting period contain the auth.Obj. : S_TABU_DIS.
Please share your knowledge if you come across this problem..

How to use the period in controls?

Hi,
I would like to use a control to validate my current opening balance amounts to the closing balance amounts from the final period in the prior year. However I cannot get it to work as I struggle to find what to enter in the period field for the control. I have tried DEC (PERIOD property in the time dimension) and 12 (MONTHNUM property in the time dimension) but in both cases BPC doesn't validate the control saying that neither value is valid.

Validity period mitigating control

I checked this forum but didn't find any helpful thread for my question. We are using GRC version 5.3. Is there any SAP report or tables available that would show history of mitigating controls per user? In running the Compliance Calibrator for a user, SOD issues were present that we didn't expect because we thought existing mitigating controls were applied and that we were regularly monitoring this user for the associated risks. We thought that the problem might be that the validity period might have expired, but our corporate security group currently doesn't even show the mitigating control for the user. I wanted to look at the history of the mitigating control for the user to see if I could validate their claim.

Hi,
First of all, there's a special forum for GRC: "Governance, Risk and Compliance".
Check under RAR-> configuration tab:
Default expiration time for mitigating controls (in days)
When assigning a mitigating control to a risk, you must specify the validity period of the controlIf the End Date is left blank, the value in this option is used to calculate the end date of the validity period; the default value is 365 (days)
Check also under CUP->configuration->mitigation.
You'll be able to find the documentation for this configuration parameters in the corresponding Config Guide.
Regarding Mitigation controls per user, I guess you can just check RAR -> Mitigation tab.

I understand that you need to adjust the password for your Apple ID on your Apple TV. Here are the steps that will help you make that adjustment.
Apple TV
Go to Settings > iTunes Store > Apple IDs.
If you're signed out, choose Add New Apple ID and enter your updated Apple ID or password.
If you're signed in with your previous Apple ID, choose Sign Out, then choose Add New Apple ID and enter your updated Apple ID or password.
For Home Sharing, go to Settings > Computers, then turn off Home Sharing and turn it back on.

SAP posting period error while mainting stock in MB1C

Error Description:-
While I am maintain the stock in MB1C i got an error i.e.
Error:- Postingonly possible in periods 2006/12 and 2006/11 in company code CLC1 ( CLC1 is mycompany code.)
To resolve this error I did some pre-requisite,
First :- In OB29, I define my fiscal year variant ( Here, I copied the K4 andrename S4 and save )
Second :- then, in OB37, I Assign fiscal year variant to company code.
Third :- I define variant for open postingperiod, ( Here, I define my ownvariant to use the following menu path - IMG-- FAFinancialaccounting global settingsDocuments-- Posting periods--Define variant forposting periods).
Forth:- in OB52, i define the open and close posting periods ( Here, in new entries i choose my variantwhich i define in 3rd step and define myperiods).
still system not allowing me the current dated posting, then i use the following step to resolve the error,
I mgoing to MMPV for close the periods. (here I closed all periods, month wisetill 2012/01).
stilli got the same error, so Icheck MMRV & OMSY, weather postingperiods change or not.. ( Here, systemshows me backdated posting periods i.e. 2006/12).
Kindly help me to resolve this error.

Opening and closing periods in MM.

Hi all,
I am trying to close the period 2008/01 and open 2009/07 in MM, I tried to do it from mmpv and got this error, " Incorrect period in control rec. of CoCd 4000; no conversion. The current period (month/year) of the control record is 012008. I went to IMG using omsy and it referred me back to mmpv? anyone with a solution? Thanks.

Hi ,
You can't directly close 2008/01 and open 2009/07 .
You have to do it month wise .
For example your current period is 2008/01 ...so next you have to open 2008/02 then 2008/03 ....2009/07 .
So go to MMPV and close- open period as per my suggestion .

I having an error in PO after I edit wrongly in MMPV ( Posting Period to 7th month of 2011 ), how I can revert back to 4th month ? I changed date in system to 7th 2011 but the error still persist as : Material 1529 1000 0001 does not exits in PO during posting !
