INcorrect photo icons on albums

I havea folder (call it "Main") on my computer with subfolders (Call them "Fold1, Fold2, Fold3". These are synching nicely to my iphone and the three folders are showing as albums in the photos app.
However, in the main view in Photos on teh phone, the folder icons are pictures that are not in the given folders, but in another folder.
Any ideas why this is happening and how to fix?

There are a few factors that I can think of. Nothing concrete, as it's not an issue I've heard about or can reproduce on my end.
You didn't mention what type of computer or Operating System you're using as well.
If I'm not mistaken, the iPhone uses the thumbnail database of the folder and chooses the first image in the folder to build the image in the Albums list.
You can try creating a new folder in Finder (or Explorer) and moving the images to that folder should in turn create a new thumbnail database for the folder(s). This may also apply to the "Main" folder you mentioned, so creating a new one could help.
On a Mac, iPhoto also maintains a cache file that can have an effect on synced image files.

I want to delete photos from my iPhone 4 in order to free up storage (I only have 8GB.) But in synching I do not want to delete any images from my iPhoto on my computer.
Is there a way that I can Delete All under Edit in either Photos or Camera on my iPhone and check about 20 ijmages to remain on the iPhone? I could find no command to Select All and then uncheck the 20 photos I want to keep.
I have the 8GB iPhone and the iMac with OS 10.9.2 and iPhoto '09 Version 8.1.2.

I have Version 6.1.3 because the clogged storage will not allow me to upload Version 7.1. Catch 22. This is basically a storage issue, I believe. I cannot delete enough stuff on my iPhone to allow me to either back up or upload the new OS 7. I am unwilling to pay for more storage in iCloud, so I want to delete stuff I don't need. When I touch the "photos" icon on my 4th gen iPod Touch, I get a page entitled "Albums" - it's white, with many lines. At the very top of the screen, almost shadowed behind the word "albums" I can see the thumbnail of my album. But I can't access it.

Bring up the Multitask bar by double clicking on the home button, search for the photo app icon, tap on it until it starts to shake, hit the minus icon in the left corner to close the app.
Close the task bar again and start the photo app again, this time it should work.

When I open photo icon on iphone 4, I cannot get to the camera roll icon. It is hidden behind albums menu, how can I open camera roll?

I open the photo icon from the scrren application and it open to albums. The camera roll icon is behind this wording, when I try and scroll to get to it, it only goes straight behind and i am unable to open photos from here. I can get to the photo the long way but do not want to continue to do this. It has only just started happening.

I have no clue that you mean by it only shows photos from the camera icon. It has to show the photos in the camera roll of the photos app since those are the only photos that you can import via the USB cable.
There are other ways of transferring photos to a computer, but they involve using third party apps. There are WiFi transfer apps that will do this. DropBox will also let you upload photos to a public folder and then download them to a computer.

You can uncheck multiple songs by selecting all the songs you want to uncheck, then right-click and choose "uncheck selection". Also, make sure that you have checked "Sync only checked songs and videos" on the Summary tab of your iTunes sync settings or the sync process will ignore your selections.
You can remove all the photos from your camera roll using Preview on your Mac. Connect your phone to your Mac, open Preview, go to File>Import from iPhone. When your photos appear in Preview, select the photos you want to delete, then click on the icon at the bottom showing the red circle with the diagonal line through it (see image below), then click Delete.
To remove photos from the Photo Stream album on your phone you'll have to either reset Photo Stream (deleting all the photos from iCloud) or turn off Photo Stream on your phone.

I want to move all photos in an album to themCamera Roll. But after hitting the share icon and selecting Camera Roll, the "All" option is grayed and not selectable. Am I missing something?

Question about photo icons on songs.

Hey guys, I got a simple question to ask.
Well, I just got a new 30GB Ipod Video today, and it works fine. However, after I added all of my songs to my ipod, I also wanted to upload the little photo icons next to them as well when you play a song. So I put one photo on an entire album, but then when I disconnected my Ipod, it's not there! Can someone help me?

Since the iPod might have updated before you applied the artwork you may have to update the iPod again. Press "File"> "update iPod" to update it without having to disconnect and reconnect your iPod.

It is possible that you clicked "Block Images" in the right click context menu while trying to save an image. 
Check the image exceptions: Tools > Options > Content: Load Images: Exceptions

Do the following:
Export them to a folder on the Desktop.
Launch Preview.
Drag the folder onto the Preview icon in the Dock.
Use the File ➙ Print menu.
In the Print window click on the PDF button and select Save as PDF.
That will give you a PDF file of 300 pages of all the photos.

If you delete photo stream photos from your phone they will be deleted from the my photo stream album on your PC. Before doing that, be sure to copy or move them to a different folder on your computer.
Deleting camera roll photos won't delete anything from your computer. If you import them to your computer using your usb cable as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083, you will get an option to delete them from your phone after they are imported.

Incorrect photos in iPhoto trash

Don’t know if this is the correct forum. I can’t find a specific forum for iPhoto 5.
iPhoto 5 is being used for a particular library for compatibility with another user who is limited to this version of iPhoto (PPC, G5, OS 10.5).
The problem is that the iPhoto trash contains numerous photos that should not be there. Most of the photos in the trash are actually duplicated in the main iPhoto Library and albums. Some of the photos in the trash are not in the Library but should be. I don’t know how this occurred. It was not done deliberately.
This iPhoto library is being used as a container for photos used in a Final Cut Express project. When I did empty the iPhoto trash, FCE complained that certain files were offline, probably those that were in the trash but not in the top level of the Library. Fortunately, I have a current backup, but I am still back to “Square One”.
How do I fix this problem of iPhoto trash containing incorrect photos so I can empty the trash without an adverse effect upon the FCE project using these photos?

         It is my belief that FCE does not interact with iPhoto. When dragging a photo from the iPhoto window to FCE, it simply creates a pointer to the location in the Finder where that photo resides. If something happens to that photo such as moving it or deleting it, FCE will complain with an "Offline" message. Possibly someone else could confirm that.

        Not sure. I'll have to boot into OS 10.6 to check since iPhoto 5 won't run in Mountain Lion. I'll report on that later, but I don't think that will be an issue. I have been using this iPhoto library for more than a year, working on a large project.
The general answer is to restore your backup, select the photos you want in FCE and export to a desktop folder for use by FCE (or any other program)

           This would be a monumental task, something I was trying to avoid. I have been using iPhoto libraries (and iMovie projects) as containers for FCE projects for more than a dozen videos and never had this problem before.
          There is something wrong with the iPhoto trash with this particular iPhoto library and I was hoping that someone might know what could have caused it and possibly suggested a fix.
