Incorrect RoboHHRE.lng files in RH7 (?)

Hi,
just a couple of issues I ran into, and fixed for my
projects. I wonder if they are RH7 bugs or if they were caused by
something in my environment.
I am doing WebHelps in a lot of languages. I found that the
Spanish help turned out mainly with Estonian texts (Contents,
Index, etc). I managed to find lots of RoboHHRE.lng files, in the
Program Files, and one of them actually seems to be Spanish, except
one of the Search pane texts was missing (the one that was in
Spanish in the mainly Estonian file...). So I replaced and edited
the files in the help project, and things seem to work out fine.
Another thing:
In several languages, e.g. Scandinavian languages and
Portuguese, some of the "special" characters appeared corrupted in
the RoboHHRE.lng files (and in the generated WebHelp). I could
easily fix the files in the projects, but it was an unexpected
step.

I suppose it's possible, but I created brand-new HTML files
for my test, since I was worried the old ones might have gotten
corrupted by RH5's messy code. I would really hate to have to
create everything in RH since I don't find it as responsive as
Dreamweaver.
Thanks. I'll play with that idea. Any more thoughts on

    Hi,
I face this error message when I try to 'process update' a dimention, sometime it works but sometime it failed with the error below:
Description: File system error: The record ID is incorrect. Physical file: . Logical file: .
    My environment: Window Server 2008 R2+SQL Server 2008 R2.
Note: this issue can be resolved by full cube process, but I can't to that every time if it failed, just want to know what happen at backend of SSAS, It block me neary 2 week without any finding, really appreciate that someone can help on this.
I have do some research with google, I think the root cause here is not TopCount function(It may be a problem with SQL Server2005), also not the size limitation of 4GB size of .astore file.(I check the size of my cube under 'Data\XXX.db\' folder, which only
    have few MB size).
    Thanks,
    Tom

    Hi Tom,
    Here is a microsoft fix
FIX: "File system error" occurs when you try to run a process update operation on a dimension in Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Analysis Services and in Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 Analysis Services
In your acenario, in order to fix this issue, please apply the latest Cumulative update and Service Pack according to your SQL Server version. Besides, there are two workarounds in that fix, plese try it and check if it works or not.

  • 2009 macbook pro incorrect number of file hard links. repaired and still slow. I replaced the hard drive within the year and it's 1 tb not full. help!

I have a 2009 macbook pro and I keep it up to date. I replaced the hard drive with a new 1 tb hard drive within the last year. It is not even close to full. The other night I was doing a time machine backup and the spinning color wheel appeared. It would not go away and the only thing I could do was restart the computer. The Grey apple screen appeared and nothing else happens. I restarted in disk utility and verified the drive. It said "incorrect number of file hard links". I repaired it successfully and check the drive as well as the startup drive. All was ok. I restarted my computer and it took forever to come on. It is now one but I can not do anything. The desktop and all appropriate dock items are there but I can not do anything. What should I do?

It's likely that the startup drive, or some other hardware component, is failing. Back up all data immediately, then run Apple Diagnostics or the Apple Hardware Test.
Even if the test is negative, you should make a "Genius" appointment at an Apple Store to have the machine tested more thoroughly.

  • Links not passed to PDF file in RH7

I have 4 Webhelp projects that output to PDF files. RH7 is
supposed to retain hyperlinks in the PDF file and it did on the the
first volume I converted and compiled. But the second volume is not
retaining the links even though I have "Add links to PDF" and
"Retain hyperlinks" checked in the Print Documentation panel
checked. Once the PDF file is generated none of the links that
don't actually give the path work. In the first project all the
links between topics work fine...in this one they don't. Both
projects are similar age, created in RH5. This is straight text
(Compliance manuals) with nothing strange. The links were all
    created with drag/drop.
What am I missing? The first project 'just did it!". This one
"just doesn't!!". Thanks in advance for any help!!!
(this is also posted in the Other Single Source Layout
category...but no one seems to be posting there so I'm coming here
for help from all of you with all the answers!)

Good morning Leon! The second project is the same as the
first - straight text with links to other topics within the project
and links to external websites. In the first project the links to
other topics within itself work fine in the compiled PDF. In the
second project the same type of links - to other topics in the
project do NOT work in the compiled PDF. The 'little hand' never
becomes a 'pointed finger' that allows for the link. The links to
external sites only work if I actually display the full URL and
also make that URL a link within RH.
I've not yet converted the 3rd and 4th projects as I'd like
to make sure whatever has gone wrong in #2 is not carried forward
to #3 and #4. As I said in the first posting, these are simply
drag/drop links to other topics in the project - the output is
"print to PDF format" with "retain hyperlinks" marked. They simply
don't work and I have no idea why. Any help you can offer would be
    greatly appreciated.

  • Why does our Final Cut Pro Batch Exports incorrectly name sequence files?

Why does our Final Cut Pro 7.0.1 Batch Exports incorrectly name sequence files?
For example I can Batch Export 10 sequences one of which is called:
    "899-006TL013 It's Not Your Fault 800-509-2875"
Then the output for some of the files are along the lines of:
    "899-006TL013 It's No#61386E.mov"
I have seen this happen with 1-6 files or not at all... is it just dumb luck?
What is going on here and is there any way to avoid or remedy this issue?
We first thought having the render destination window open caused it but that was not the source.
    Any ideas?

I've run into the same problem with FCP 7.0.2 when exporting from the sequence using File --> Export --> QuickTime Movie. I exported a file today called "BSP - 01 - How You Can Be Sure You Are A Christian" and it came out as this "BSP - 01 - How You Can#1630". This is getting to be annoying. I also need to name these files the length they are. I'm hoping someone may see this and have a suggestion (besides shortening the file name). It seems like I've also seen this on shorter file names, but at the moment I can't prove it.

  • Can't repair Macintosh HD - incorrect number of file hard links

    Hi,
Under Maverick, my computer started to become slow.  I see the spinning wheel frequently.  I upgraded to Yosemite telling myself that the new OS X installation process would clean anything not working properly under Maverick.  However, my computer is still slow.
I tried to verify the Macintosh HD using disk utility and an error prompted me to repair my hard drive because of an error.
My Yosemite is in French : Nombre de liens physiques du fichier incorrect.
I think it would translate to incorrect number of file hard links.
When rebooting using Command - R and verifying my Macintosh HD with the disk utility, it found no error and consequently, the repair function did not help.
When rebooting and running disk utility, I still have the incorrect number of file hard links error.  I have a MacBook Pro 2012
    1.  Is the error incorrect number of file hard links causing my computer to be slow?  What is this error?
    2.  What should I do to correct this if the disk utility does not find an error when rebooting using command - R?
    3.  I have back-up using time machine, but I'm unsure that I should be restoring these back-up : not sure exactly when the error started and if I restaure a back-up "pre-error", would it correct the error?
    Thanks for your help

Thank you for the reply! I can't remember what it said after the repair except for the big green letters telling me that the volume appears to be working. I just ran a verify from the install disc again and the message read " the volume appears to be working ok". After that I ran another verify from the hard drive and got the incorrect # of file hard links, volume header needs minor repair, the volume HD was found corrupt and needs to be repaired, Error this disc needs to be repaired. Start up your computer with another disc and use disc utility to repair this disc.
The computer seems to be running great, I am fully backed up but not sure how concerned I should be.

  • Error message "incorrect number of file hard links" after Lion installation. Please could you advised to solve this problem; my iMac (mid 2010) is working well

After installation of OSX Lion I have ran the disk utility program and the following error message appears: "incorrect number of file hard links". The program advises to fix the disk by reinstalling the Mac OSX install dvd (Snow Leopard). Please could you advise? Additonal information: the iMac was up-to-date before installing Lion. Thx!

I feel like I'm on a scavenger hunt and it's getting very dark!  You are absolutely correct.  My computer doesn't show my HD in the finder window.  That's been the case for a long time.  At one point, I found a solution and fixed it but then it reverted.
From a Finder menubar, select Finder > Preferences, then either General (controls what appears on your desktop) or Sidebar (your Finder windows's sidebar) and check the box with your Computer's name, hard drive, etc.
I read to hold 'option' and press 'go'.
On Lion, that allows you to see the Library folder inside your home folder (it's only hidden in Lion).
I have found the right file and deleted it.  It keeps reintroducing itself so I guess I'll need to delete it from the trash as well?
No, you've deleted the one that may have been damaged.   As with most preferences files, OSX will create a new one, with default values, when needed, which is what we want.  (Sooner or later, you should empty the trash, but it's not a problem.)
As mentioned in #A4, you'll have to re-select your Time Machine drive, re-select any of the things that were checked on the Options panel, and re-enter any exclusions.

  • Corrupted CPD file in RH7 (again)

I've had this ongoing problem that rears its ugly head every
two months. My CPD file continues to corrupt when it reaches 1500
KB. This project was originally built in X5 and then we upgraded to
RH7. I initially would compress this file using MS Access. Then
when it grew to 1500 KB it would corrupt again. So two months ago I
deleted the CPD file and reopened the project using the XPJ file.
All the links were broken. I painstakingly fixed all the links over
a two-day period- thinking this would fix it once and for all. Now
it's corrupted again. What can I do to fix this permanently? Why is
it continuing to corrupt? Is it necessary to compress this file
    periodically?
I also tried renaming the the CPD and XPJ files and then
opening the project using the HHP file. This also leaves the
project with many broken links- but maybe these links are broken
because RH is not seeing the folders for these topics in RH but
they exist in Windows Explorer (I have Peter's instructions on
remedying this). Again, my main objective is to find a permanent
solution to this problem- if one exists. Thanks-
    Cheers
    Rich

    GEWB,
Well, the folder I deleted was a user-created one that my
boss had made. But here is an example: the project had a folder
called "Authorizations" in Project Manager. But when I opened the
project folder in Explorer, there was the Authorizations folder,
but then another duplicate folder with that name was inside a
folder called "Online Help". This Online Help folder had just odds
and ends thrown in it. What it would do though is cause RH to break
the links to the legitimate topics in the Authorizations folder and
this folder would not appear when I rebuilt the project. Because
this folder existed on two levels, it seemed to confuse RH so it
would leave it out all together. When I deleted this unnecessary
folder, the project rebuilt without any problems. So I think it's
important if you inherit a project to make sure there aren't any
residual folders that might conflict with existing ones. Hope this
    helps-
    All the best,
    Rich

  • File Type in Metabrowser incorrect for some files

    Hi all
I've noticed in the Metadata Browser that the File Type for some of my images is incorrect.
I've converted all of my RAW images (Canon .CR2) into Digital Negative (DNG) on importing. But the metadata browser is showing, for instance, Digital Negative (DNG) 5664 and Raw 590.
If you browse through the files listed as Raw, the file names are all showing them with .DNG extensions, as are the underlying files when you look at in the operating system.
Has anyone else seen this issue? Does anyone know how it occurred? Does anyone know how to resolve (I've tried the Library, Convert Photo to DNG but this doesn't do anything - nor does forcing Read Metadata from File).
I have noticed that a lot of the files that are misclassified, but certainly not all, have the phantom XMP file associated with them as well (see http://www.adobeforums.com/cgi-bin/webx/.3bc45f6a/ )
    Thanks
    Greg

This appears to be a bug in LR1.1. I also convert CR2 files to DNG upon import but LR then thinks they are RAW when viewed in the Metadata Browser even though they are in fact DNG. If I convert CR2 files to DNG after they are imported, they are correctly listed as DNG. (As you discovered attempting to convert the misclassified DNGs to DNG does not help.) Also the command Update DNG Previews and Metadata does not light up for misclassified DNGs but rather stays grayed out. I don't particularly like importing the CR2s then converting to DNG after import so I am simply waiting for Adobe to fix this issue. :)
I don't have any phantom XMP files, however. Don't know how that happens.

  • SAPDB in status STOPPED INCORRECTLY due to file system failure

    Hi community,
we have a problem with our SAPDB server.
The file system on which the whole database is installed disappeared form the list of filesystem mounted because of hardware problems,  the database instances crashed. Now the problem should be technically solved, the filesystem is mounted again and files should be not corrupted
The first problem was to start the x server, If I tried to start it replied with the following error:
    en950_GetProgramExecPath failed:
OS_ERROR  0: No system errortext for ERRNO 0
RTE_ERROR 1: Open Registry:No such file or directoryIndepPrograms
I resolved the problem looking at the file in directory /var/spool/sql/ini and changing the extensions of two files:
    SAP_DBTech.ini from Registry_dcom.ini.cnt01
    SAP_DBTech.ini from SAP_DBTech.ini.cnt01
Now the x server starts correctly, but the state of the 2 SAPDB instances appears as STOPPED INCORRECTLY
    My questions:
    - Why the configuration files had that (wrong) extension ?
    - What is the correct procedure to try to start the instances in this case?
    Regards, Valerio

Hmm... one thing is for sure: the MaxDB software does not rename these files!
    > Now the x server starts correctly, but the state of the 2 SAPDB instances appears as STOPPED INCORRECTLY
Did you had a look into the KNLDIAG files?
    > My questions:
    > - Why the configuration files had that (wrong) extension ?
    No idea? Storage/Filesystem issue?
    Bad user?
    > - What is the correct procedure to try to start the instances in this case?
Depending on how much is broken here... reinstall the software from scratch and either re-register the instances or perform a restore and recovery of them.

  • Date modified is incorrect on exisiting files?

Hello all - We have a NW 6.5 SP8 server with Win7 and XP clients. All clients though report the existing shared files date modified attribute incorrectly (31/12/1984). This applies to all files - folders seem to be ok. Create a new file and it's fine. Copy and paste an existing file and the modifed date will remain the same (1984) but the created date will be the current time and date.
I've had a good search and the small mentions of it point to it being possibly an AV or backup issue? There's no AV on the NW server (not ideal I know but it is on all the Windows servers) and I don't "think" it's anything to do with backup either (but I will check/investigate further)
    Has anyone any ideas please?
    Many thanks

The OP most likely have Windows XP Clients with A/V software installed
    (Sophos ?)
After scanning mapped network drives from the Workstation, the dates of
the files on the network drives have been reset to 1985.
This problem has been introduced with an update to the A/V software that
has invalidated the check that was in place for this in the Novell client.
We have now made another update to the client, which can be downloaded
    from here [1] :
Few customers have already confirmed this to be the solution to the same
    problem

    [1] NOVELL: Downloads - Novell Client 4.91 Post-SP5 (IR1) NWFS.SYS 3
Thanks for this Hans, much appreciated.
Yes - well guessed, Sophos on the clients. Mostly clients are Win7 though - is there a recommeded client for Win7 that has been customised to avoid this issue?
If I install the client you posted on the XP machines will it rectify this issue, as in will the dates be reset with the correct data - or is that modified tag info missing for ever?
Thank you so much for taking the time to help!

When trying to convert RX5 project into RH& HTML, I get the following error messages:  CANNOT OPEN A DATABASE CREATED WITHA A PREVIOUS VVERSION OF YOUR APPLICATION.  Need help with that.

    Welcome to the RH community.
What you need to do is find the projects. .CPD file and delete it. Then you should be able to open the project in RH7. BTW make sure you have a backup copy of your RHX5 project as there is no going back once opened in RH7.

this is a inconsistent type problem that has been ongoing throughout my os upgrades from 10.4.
various file icons show as either generic, stuffit or text files.. this could be a freehand or quicktime file, etc...
also occurring in a inconsistent manner... the finder incorrectly shows and executes various files... the file may have a .jpg suffix but will be shown in the file 'kind' column as a stuffit or text file... but maybe it will open with the correct app.
on numerous occasions (20%) file size is shown as 'Zero KB' but in reality is 80 MB... after a period of time...maybe after I open it... it may or may not show the correct file size.

Is this a quirk of tiger os or is it something that may be only my problem?... if that is the case... any thoughts on a remedy?
along with this does anyone know how to designate a file type to be opened by the desired application... example when online... if I download a realplayer file 'rar'... adobe golive will try to open it.. I have looked at all my plugins on my browsers (latest safari, firefox or opera)... all correct and reinstalled the browsers...

  • Incorrect music library file size after upgrading to itunes 7.1.1.5

I was running itunes 7.0.2 and I have a 40gb click wheel IPOD (3rd Generation?). In itunes 7.0.2 my music library stats showed 7046 songs stored on 34.6 gb of disk space. Once I upgraded to itunes 7.1.1.5 and restarted itunes, my music library stats now showed 7046 songs stored on 445 gb of disk space and I can no longer sync my 40 gb Ipod to itunes because itunes says I don't have enough space available on my ipod.
What caused this change in reporting disk usage for my music library - which by the way is not correct, it is really 34.6 gb of space (which I confirm when I look at disk manager and evaluate the drive with the music file on it.
How do I get itunes to report my disk space correctly so I can start syncing my ipod again. I already reset and restarted my ipod, rebooted my laptop multiple times and even did a restore on my ipod (which of course wiped out all my music on the ipod).

I've had this problem too and since solved it. I now have Vista and iTunes working perfectly with my 20Gb iPod colour. I'm not sure whether the lack of comments means everyone is flummoxed or if We're the only people in the world who's had this problem!
Well in the name of sharing here is what I did:
    1) Backed up my entire iTunes folder (inc album art work and all sub folders and iTunes ref files) to and external HD
    2) Deleted everything other than the album artwork folder and the iTunes music folder
    3) Uninstalled iTunes 7.2
    4) Cleaned the registry
    5) Restarted
    6) Downloaded and installed iTunes v7.3.0.54
    7) Opened new the install of iTunes
    8) Clicked File> Add folder to Library> iTunes Music
    9) Bingo my library is being sensible and reading the correct size AND my iPod syncs perfectly!
Not sure if the actual cure was the fact I cleaned out all the reference files and performed a reinstall or if it was actually a bug which apple fixed in version 7.3.0.54? Either way!
That's it. Simple. I hope this helps...

  • How to use .ICO files in RH7?
