Incorrect time displayed in Lost mode email notifications from iCloud

Lost mode email notifications from iCloud displays California time, even though my iCloud setting is in a different time zone. Can this be changed? How?

Try going to Applications/Utilities/Keychain Access and delete the iCloud password.
Try running Keychain First Aid.

Then try a Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, reboot when it completes.
(Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive.)

I receive email notifications from facebook when someone posts to my wall or share something with me and when I click the link to open it, it goes to my internet browser instead of opening the facebook app. How do I fix this so the facebook app open automatically?

I just started a project to use AutoCAD files and Adobe.
For starters, I've been creating in AutoCAD LT 2015, then using the "Export" to PDF feature, then opening the pdf version in Adobe.
I'm still learning, hope this helps.

Email notification from Activation Server

I've received an email notification from Activation Server ([email protected]) telling me that i have successfully set up my email account with my Blackberry and that i should begin to receive new messages in approx. 20 minutes...strange though, i set up my email account over a year ago and have been receiving emails without problem
Any ideas as to why i would recieve this message?

If you know the thread or community that is sending you the emails you can go directly to those and skip the rest of this however if you don't remember or are still getting email after going to the community read on.
Stopping email from ths site can be difficult, it is a multi step procedure. See the link Stopping emails from ASC which Neil posted for all the details.

Don't know what "notification from iCloud" you mean and doubt it has to do with your "block," but try a reset by holding the home and power buttons at the same time until the Apple boot logo appears. No data will be lost.

Call Apple Support by phone if you want to communicate with them, or post to http://www.apple.com/feedback/ if you just want them to know what you think about certain products, or sign up for a free online developer account http://developer.apple.com/ and submit bug reports to http://bugreporter.apple.com/ if you have a detailed reproducible bug with the operating system.
Have you run the hardware test that came with the Mac? See this link.
If you have a brand new Mac, it likely can't be downgraded to Snow Leopard. See what I have to say on the Snow Leopard tip at its bottom. If it is over 2 weeks old, you are beyond most store's return/exchange policy, but you should check with the store you bought at, if it is withing that range. Define "crash?" What do you see happen on screen? Is there a four language screen saying you must restart your machine? Do you just see a spinning cursor that is rainbow colored? Have you tried the command-option-escape if it is the spinning cursor to see if you can force quit the application?    Do you see text with black background come across your screen?   Or do you just see applications quit on their own and it says: "this application has unexpectedly quit, other applications are not affected, report to Apple?"

Welcome to the Apple community mohinderjeet.
If you mean that Find My Phone is asking for a password to a different Apple ID to your current Apple ID.
This feature has been introduced to make stolen phones useless to those that have stolen them.
However it can also arise when the user has changed their Apple ID details with Apple and not made the same changes to their iCloud account/Find My Phone on their device before upgrading to iOS 7, or if you restore from a previous back up made before you changed your details.
The only solution is to change your Apple ID back to its previous state with Apple at My Apple ID using your current password, you don’t need access to this address if it’s previously been used with your Apple ID, once you have saved these details enter the password as requested on your device and then turn off "find my phone" and delete the account from your device.
You should then change your Apple ID back to its current state, save it once again and then log back in using your current Apple ID. Finally, turn "find my phone" back on once again.

[SOLVED] Incorrect time displayed in my system

Hey Archers,
I have trouble correct time being displayed in my system.
My BIOS time is:
May 18 2012 08:39:21 PM IST
Date command displays
Sat May 19 02:09:59 IST 2012
Clearly the time displayed by date command is localtime+05:30 (Asia/Kolkata), when I expect it to be just localtime.
How do I correct this?
I dont dual boot and have just Arch installed on my machine.
And my /etc/rc.conf has this:
HARDWARECLOCK="UTC"
TIMEZONE="Asia/Kolkata"
Please correct if my understanding is wrong, but is this how it works?
When I say HARDWARECLOCK=UTC and TIMEZONE=''Asia/Kolkata",
It assumes, hardwareclock, time displayed by BIOS, is infact UTC, and, since the user is interested in timezone, +0530, it adds 0530 to hardware clock.

You were right, my hardware clock was on local time.
So this is what I did to set it correct.
1. Set the HARDWARECLOCK to "localtime" in /etc/rc.conf
HARDWARECLOCK="localtime"
TIMEZONE="Asia/Kolkata"
2. Reboot the system
3. Set the systemclock to UTC by doing a -0530 (minus 05 hours 30 minutes)
# date `date -d "-05 hours -30 mins" +%m%d%H%M%Y`
4. Copy the system clock value to hardware clock
# hwclock --systohc
5. Edit the /etc/rc.conf to set HARDWARECLOCK back to UTC
HARDWARECLOCK="UTC"
TIMEZONE="Asia/Kolkata"
6. Reboot the system.
And yes, now my system clock displays correct time
Just setting HARDWARECLOCK to "localtime" also worked. But since I the beginners guide recomments "UTC" I did all this.

5800 XM lost the email notification

No reason for that: one day it just disappeared, leaving a blank line between the 2 black horizontal separator. I'm running the app with a red @ as icon, which was proposed by the device once started up.
Please don't tell me to update the software, set the notification as visible, doing a hard reset, as I already did it all this stuff.
I read somewhere to delete the file C:\private\10202be9\persist which can be found by using X-plore. Again: I did install it, but that folder named private is not shown (shall I think that there isn't any?).
Does anyone reckon that this issue may be fixable?

Not sure if this helps but you selecting Email Notification in Nokia Messaging, or in the Home Screen settings? If you're using the Contacts Bar home screen theme, there's an option in Settings->Personal->Home screen->Email Notification, give that a shot?
