Incorrect time of day on iPhone 3G

Anyone else notice how the 3G's time of day does not sync correctly with the computer?
Mine is always off by a few minutes even after trying to set in manually. I cannot find a setting anywhere that allows one to sync the times.
Some have mentioned that the provider needs to offer this. However, my iPod touch always synced the time to the computer. Just seems strange that this was forgotten with the 3G.
Did anyone find a solution to this yet?

I know that iPod just syncs with the computer and I was thinking that the iPhone would too since the computer is syncing with Apple Europe (time.euro.apple.com)
Unfortunately, there is not a setting under date & time on the iPhone where I can even choose whether to autoselect or not. Maybe it is not supported by T-Mobile.
I can manually set the time and sync it pretty close to the desktop time but within a day, they are off by a minute.
Just curious how to get the time to sync up if it's possible.

The phone is set to automatic time update. The time is correct when I turn it on, but later it changes by about 15 minutes. I have to reboot the phone and the time is correct. The phone is NOT jailbroken, and this has only happened since i had a new battery installed.

If you haven't already, try restoring your iPhone as a new device, not from a backup, and with only the apps Apple includes. Then see if the problems persist. It's possible that a corrupted file on the iPhone is causing the problems, and that could perhaps be coming back onto the iPhone if you're restoring using a backup. Problems with an app could also be causing problems. If the problems persist after restoring the iPhone as "new", then you almost certainly have a defective iPhone and will need to contact Apple for servicing.
If the problems go away after restoring the iPhone as "new", then you can start putting your other apps back on and see if the problems reappear; if they do, you probably have a badly-coded app.

A Verizon cellphone tower in my area is feeding multiple Verizon Customers / Devices with the incorrect time (one hour behind) when we are in range of this tower (in this specific area). Our phones show the correct time in other areas. Is there a way to fix or report this?

Upon further investigation, it is happening to anyone with a Verizon handset, regardless of specific device. I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 3, and my co-worker has a Motorola Droid Turbo and we are both having the issue. Anyone on a different carrier (T-Mobile, AT&T) is fine, and is not experiencing this issue.
It actually looks like the cell tower is feeding us the correct time, but its like it forgot daylight savings happened. So it is feeding us the incorrect time zone/day light savings information.
When I goto Settings -> Date and Time on my Android device, I have both "Automatic date and time" and "Automatic time zone" checked.
the "Automatic timezone" it is pulling from the Verizon cell tower is "Mountain -7". It is correct that we are in the "Mountain" timezone, but we are currently "Mountain -6" (also known as day light savings). So the Cell Tower things it MST when it should be MST DST
When I uncheck "Automatic time zone" and select my own, suddenly it lets me select "Mountain -6" and doesn't even give me the option of "Mountain -7".
So in conclusion, some cell tower in the area of zip code 87102 forgot that daylight savings ever happened, and is telling cellphones they are in the "Mountain -7" timezone, instead of the correct current timezone of "Mountain -6 DST"
Edit: Oh, sorry, and to answer your question, it began happening about 3 weeks ago. We started noticing around March 25th, maybe a little after that.

IPhone 4S battery draining too fast...Need to charge 3 times a day

Finally after 4 years I was very excited to get an iPhone that has all the features I wanted…but I am disappointed so far.
I purchased an iPhone 4S 32GB on 10/7 and has not been impressed with the battery life. I have to charge my iPhone at least 3 times a day. I go to work at 8 AM and by 11:30 AM the battery is at 20 %, so I charge it again which takes only about 60 to 120 minutes to charge, and by 5:30 PM I have to start charging again…the third charge has start around 11:30 PM and I have to keep the phone plugged overnight otherwise it will be dead by 6 AM.
I have read other posts on the web and people have suggested turning notifications, location services…etc which I went ahead and did but that did not change the battery issue. What is the purpose of having the iPhone 4S if all the features have to be turned off.
I always try to kill apps that running in background but still no fix to battery issue.
on 10/19/11 I went to Apple store and exchanged the phone with new one. The apple rep activated the phone for me and the charge was at 78 %. I left the store and 10 minutes later I was at my house, but again I was surprised to see the battery has drooped to 65 % within 10 minutes. While I was driving home I did not touch the phone or make/receive calls.
When I got home I plugged the phone and when it was charge at 100 % I unplugged it and 40 minutes later the battery dropped to 70 %.
Today I unplugged my iPhone 4s at 8:20 this morning with 100% and by 10:43 AM I am down to 63%. By 11:13 AM the battery was at 54% and by 11:46 AM the battery was down to 44% with me not touching it. I have turned everything off such notifications, locations services...etc and nothing in the background is working and I only used it for a 10 minute conversation.
It seemed that a lot of users are have similar issue. Not sure if the issue related to iOS 5, iPhone or bad batch of iPhone or iPhone batteries.
Before getting the iPhone 4S i had a 3GS from a family member that i had to charge at least 3 times a day. The only reason I got the new 4S is to not have to deal with frequent charge. I think I am 90 % close to returning the phone back to Apple and wait few months before attempting to purchase another phone.

What made the trick for me was to drain the phone completely - until it dies. (It took quite a while to go from 3% to 0...). Then, charge it overnight.
Previous days I would start charging it with the battery at 10-15%, on red. Also for the last week I've been trying disabling functions, with the hope of finding what was the "offending" piece but without much success. Still was loosing about 10% per hour, just by using it to check emails, maps, and sometimes a call.
Today is almost two hours since I left home, with everything turned on again, used mail, maps with traffic during the ride to work, some browsing - using it "normally" - and the battery is still at 95%.
That looks more like normal to me.!!
Might try to drain it to 0% again as many other suggested, but if it is a battery charger "calibration", it shouldn't be necesary to do it more than once.

Does anyone know of an ap that will auto call forward all voice calls from my iphone4 to a different number (office) at set times each day? IE - i want my business iphone to automatically call forward at 0830am weekdays and cancel the call forward at 6pm

There are no apps to do what you want, that's why you can't find any. No app would have access to the necessary API's to do this, thus only Apple could implement such. You can suggest such to Apple here:

Another suggestion is to look at Google Voice. I don't know if it offers these specific features or not, but it is highly customizable.

The plus point of using my windows 7 ultimate PC, even i got the same error twice or thrice but I REUME ALL & then I got the result. I don't know what was the problem updating with my MacBook Pro but FINALLY I SUCCEDED:-) ENJOY GUYS

No. you should wear the battery down to 10-20%. Iphone batteries are designed to charge a limited number of times then they will no longer hold a charge. Charging so frequently will kill the battery early.

No, sounds like when you dropped it an cracked the screen it may have also damaged the logic board or the repair person damaged a cable.

Of course the GPS location feature will need to be on in order for this to work. But the idea here would be to optimize battery life by disabling the 'call home' requests of apps. The settings profile should also support downloads as I would like to download and allow it when I am on WiFi but not so much when I am using my cellular data.

No, this is not possible as the sandboxed nature of iOS would not allow any app to modify another app like that. Such a feature would have to be enabled by Apple as a part of iOS itself. You can submit feedback to Apple about the idea if you wish to.
