Incorrect time zone for Mongolia

Hi I am using Nokia N95 and want to use a pc suite calendar sync. But on N95, Mongolia, Ulaanbaatar is on Time Zone +9, it needs to be on +8, which is correct. when I do sync with my pc all the calendar schedule brings one our difference because on windows Mongolia is in the time zone +8.
Please help me how to solve this problem

Don't think that is a user changeable setting. If it is a bug in the firmware then you should report it using the "Contact us" tab above to the right of this screen. Perhaps they will correct it for the next update and newer phones.
You could try updating your firmware if there is a newer version available for your phone. It may already have been corrected.

  • S4 Chooses incorrect time zone when set to automatic

My S4, and my son's, are choosing the incorrect time zone when the phones are set to choose automatically.
The phones were working and my son noticed his was off earlier in the week and mine seems to have developed the same issue sometime last evening.
They are both choosing Central Time and should be choosing Mountain Time.
Location services are enabled on both (GPS & Verizon as well as Google Wi-Fi)
I've launched my phone in Safe Mode and the issue still occurs
On my son's we chose to set time zone manually which works, but it reset itself to automatic later and returned to being incorrect.
    Thanks for any help.

On my phone I believe it was the day I posted here (April 14th) on his a couple days prior to that.
Both had 'fixed' themselves until his changed back a couple days ago
No new apps, latest update applied to both phones (after his was already showing incorrect time).
Also of note, 3 other S4's in the household that do not have the issue(...yet?)
As mine is currently working I don't suppose there's a need for me to run in safe mode, but I will pass the instructions on to him

  • How to set a specific time zone for time channel in DIADEM

    Hi,
I'd like to know how to autmatically set a specific time zone for time channels in DIADEM.
For example, I have stored data with corresponding time channel in UTC time on a disk which was collected in another time zone. Now I want to analyze this data and I want the time channel to show the local time in the time zone where the data was collected, and not the time in the local time zone where the computer is located.
The time channel should also take site local summer/winter time into account. Now I'm running a script that handles it for me which adds or subtract hours according to my input. The problem is that I'm handling data from several different time zones and I'm not located in any of them and when you're running a lot of data over a greater time period, it's easy to make mistakes, especially when it comes to summer/winter time. Is there a any clever solution to this already implemented in Diadem that I have not found?

    Hi hj77,
No, I'm sorry, DIAdem has no time zone functionality at all.  I'm afraid you have no choice in DIAdem but to keep running your scripts.  Summer and Winter time are truly tricky, because the rules for when the changes occur are different in different countries and states within countries and also can change from year to year within the SAME country (as they did in the US a few years ago).

  • Trouble setting time zone for new location in networking

When I try to set a time zone for a new location it sets this as the time zone for all locations. I must be missing something. Any suggestions?

If you're doing this in the Date & Time PrefPane, then, IIRC, that's normal behavior. That controls the date and time settings for the computer. See Setting the date, time, and time zone description in Help.

  • Multiple time zones for one calendar entry

I'm running iCal on Lion 10.7.4 , as well as the Calendar app on iOS 5.1.1 on my iPhone and my iPad. When traveling, I sometimes have a starting time in one time zone and an ending time in another. (When flying from NY to CA, for example.) Is there some way I can have two time zones within a given event for cases such as this? I've turned on Time Zone support in iCal, but that only allows me to set a one-off time zone for an entire event.
Microsoft Outlook on a Windows machine allows for this; is there any way for me to do it on my Mac, iPhone, or iPad?

    Hi,
You could set the event, then change the timezone to the destination one and then set the end time. When you switch timezones the start and end times should change in iCal (unless the event is set to floating).

  • Time Zone for Venezuela (-4:30 GMT)

    Hello Apple friends.
I live in Venezuela and recenttly the governement changed the Time Zone for Venezuela from -4:00 GMT to -4:30 GMT.
In the Date & Time configuration tab we can select VET (Venezuelan Time) but this selection implies -4:00 GMT and not 4:30 GMT.
Please issue a patch to solve this problem. All the Mac computers in venezuela don't have the correct time.
    Best regards.................

I am posting here for the first time just because of what Courcoul wrote.
Now, that has got to be the most useless and ridiculous reply I have ever read in my life. I will go into the sociopolitical discussion myself:
< political reply > % Please skip to the end of the post if you just need technical information
    - That silly country you call Chavezlandia, happens to be the 3rd most important oil supplier to the US (hummm... lots of Macs there in the US doing business with Venezuela, right?). It is also the 5th largest oil producer and holds the 7th most important oil reserve in the world.
    - What you call a "harebrained idea of a half-hour daylight savings time that goes counter to all international standards" was not invented in Venezuela. To start with, it is not a "daylight savings time". Venezuela does not have a such a thing. This is the official time that does not change throughout the year. Some other countries in the world use a half-hour time zone. Some regions of Canada and Australia also use half-hour time zones. And there are even 15 minutes time zones in some regions of the world.
Now, after all that, it wouldn't really matter if Chavezlandia was a silly country or the idea was harebrained or if there were only 2 Macs in the whole country. The fact that you're paying for your Mac (and big money, by the way) entitles you to have an up-to-date product that properly reflects the reality of the fast-changing world, whether you politically like it or not. It is not a special patch "for a country". It is a patch for every other person who, like me, happens to have friends, relatives AND BUSINESS in Venezuela.
    </ political reply>
Now for the technical stuff: I just noticed that my clock widget was displaying the right half-hour time-zone for Venezuela without any patch or anything done from my side. I then changed the time zone of my Mac's clock just to see what happens and guess what... The new time zone is correctly displayed...
    ...it just works!

  • What is the time-zone for Mauritius?

Can somebody tell me what is the time-zone for Mauritius?

  • Time zone for Galapagos?

I'm trying to find the time zone for the Galapagos, which is one hour earlier than mainland Ecuador. The largest city, Puerto Ayora, doesn't appear to be listed. Is there any way to add it?

Well, it appears that you can do this by hacking your system. You need to edit the file:
    /System/Library/PreferencePanes/DateAndTime.prefPane/Contents/Resources/TimeZon e.prefPane/Contents/Resources/allcitiesadj.plist
In that file, add the following record:
    <array>
    <string>-0.453758</string>
    <string>-90.265914</string>
    <string>5</string>
    <string>Pacific/Galapagos</string>
    <string></string>
    <string>Galapagos</string>
    <string>Ecuador</string>
    </array>
This will enable the Galapagos time zone on your system. As always, editing files in /System should be done very carefully, and backups should be made. You could hose your system.
(Aperture gurus, please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.)

  • How do you change the time zone for all events?

I didn't have the correct setting checked for my time zone. It appears that I now have to go back and correct each event. Is that true? It would be impossible since I have over 1,000 events in my calendar.
    Any suggestions? Thanks - Kris

Go to SETTINGS on your iPod Nano 6G.
From SETTINGS -> GENERAL -> DATE & TIME -> TIME ZONE and select the right zone/location form there.

  • IPhone 4S Calendar Event Defaults to Incorrect Time Zone

My iPhone, Win7 PC is set for Eastern Time. I use Outlook/Exchange and the Outlook calendar in Options is set for Eastern Time as well. I never had any issues until recently. My iPhone syncs with the Exchange server using ActiveSync.
A few weeks ago I was out west and changed my Win 7 O/S time zone to Pacific Time. I did not change anything in Outlook or on my iPhone. The iPhone has always been set for “Set Automatically” (Settings/General/Date & Time). Also, in Mail, Contacts and Calendars my Time Zone is Set for Montreal (where I live) with Time Zone Support “On”. I have never changed this from the day I got the iPhone. Whenever I travel the time zone automatically switches. When I came back from the west coast my phone switch back to Eastern as it should and I manually set the Win 7 O/S to Eastern as well.
Now for some reason, when I create a calendar event in Outlook (i.e. on the desktop) the event shows up correctly on the iPhone (example: a meeting for tomorrow at 2:00 PM Eastern shows up as tomorrow at 2:00PM on the iPhone). However, when I “edit” the calendar event on the iPhone, the time shows up as 11:00AM and the time zone is Los Angeles (3 hours apart from Montreal). You can just imagine how this is causing me havoc as I do business in different time zones and have to reschedule meetings often.
I have tried to set the time zone to something else and then back to eastern or Montreal. It makes no difference. When I create a calendar event directly on the iPhone the default time zone is Montreal and it shows up correctly on both devices.
    Any ideas what’s going on?

Issues with calendar time zone can be very frustrating. It sounds as though the Time Zone Support feature may be affecting these events. Please use the attached article for more information on Time Zone Support.

  • Incorrect time slices for 0UCCONTRACT (note 713358)

    Hello everybody,
I have the same problem as mentioned in note 713358:
Time slices of contracts were closed in IS-U. NO new time slice wasopened to this end (with the end date December 31, 9999). After the data is loaded, a time slice of the contract with the end date December 31, 9999 remains in BW, and receives the attributes of the contract before it is completed.
I can't delete all the master data for the contracts, because they are already in use in another ODS objects.
Is it possible to delete only historical data (table QUCCONTRACT)?
I tried to do another initial upload (0UCCONTRACTH_ATTR) over the existing master data, but it didn't help, incorrect time slices remain the same.
Is is possible to fix historical data without deleting all the master data?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I wrote a direct update statement to QUCCONRACT that deleted all attributes and then I started a new upload.

  • Can I set calender invite to set at the same time, even when changing time zone. for example I am in the UK have set a meeting for 10am in NYC for weds, but when getting to NYC it is still set at 10am and doen't adjust to time zone?

Can I set my Calendar invites on a IOS 7 device to set at the same time, even when changing time zones. For example I am in the UK and need to set a meeting for 10am NYC time on Wednesday, but when I reach NYC I don't want the time zones to adjust which will then adjust my meeting I set in the UK to NYC time.

  • Mail message viewer-can I change time zone for "time received" & "time sent" to my local time?

Does anyone know how to change the time zone MAIL uses to one's local time zone?  I'm talking about Apple's Mail Program that's "on my mac."  It shows all my "times sent" and "times received" in eastern time.  Not a big deal, but since I'm on the west coast, I'd prefer pacific time.  The menu bar at the very top of the screen shows local time, but Mail doesn't reflect that.  I have a desktop iMac, Lion 10.7.3.  Any help will be much appreciated!

I had the same situation on my current business trip.  Home = SF (Pacific time), current location = Houston (Central time, 2 hours later).  For a message I just sent (and received a copy of) at 6:34 AM local (Houston) time, Mail (v6.6, in Mountain Lion 10.8.5) was displaying Date Received as 4:34 AM.  I can tell 'ya, it's *not* 4:34 AM where I'm sitting
My practice on any trip to a different time zone is just what Carlo TD described -- use SysPrefs/DateTime to change the TZ to local geographic (and also change Calendar's TZ at upper right in its window, but that's not related to the Mail issue).  But when I did so, Mail didn't repaint its Date Received column.  On a hunch, I quit and re-started Mail.  Problem solved -- all the Date Received values changed to local (Houston) time!
Now to send Apple a Feedback that Mail doesn't repaint its displayed times when SysPrefs/DateTime changes the TZ...
[Interestingly, when I just posted this reply, the message in the thread shows something like "4:54 AM".  Perhaps Apple displays all Support threads in Cupertino (Pacific) time...]

Also we need changes for Mac OS X 10.4

    Thank you

Hi, just read about this yesterday, didn't cross my mind that it would be a computer problem!
I doubt a fix will be coming for 10.5 at least, so I'm thinking you'll have to set a different time zone in the Time/Date pref pane.
