Incorrect Vault Selected

Has anyone experienced this?
When using the File > Vault > Update Vault Path... you get a warning that says - Incorrect Vault Selected "The path could not be updated because the selected vault does not match the original vault."
Even though both the vault was created with A3.
Also, when making a new vault A3 makes a vault that is smaller. The original vault created by A3 was 223.25 GB, new vault created in A3 is 1.4 MB.

The newly created Aperture 3 Vault has been defined to the application but is has no content from your library until you click on the Vault refresh button at the bottom of your display. That icon is probably yellow meaning you need to update the vault. After clicking on it, Aperture will backup your library and turn to button colour to black when finished.

Just upgraded to 10.5. I'm setting up a few printers and a plate maker. Got everything setup as far as I could tell but one machine wont work. It's an ImageRunner 8500 from Canon. When I try to print to that printer I get this:

Not what thats about. In the printer list, It shows up there with everything else that is connected via Appletalk. I got the PPD for the Konika Minolta CPP500 installed and it prints fine... any ideas? Thanks,

I tried Appletalk but that printer does not appear. However LPD does work. I think the problem was on checking my other Macs in the office, there is no way of telling whether they are connect via IPP or LPD as the set up appears the same, i.e. IP address. When I tried to add my the printer again, I had forgotten how we set it up originally.

Packaging Acrobat DC - Incorrect language selection displayed

I'm using Adobe CC Packager (WIN) to try to package Acrobat DC.
I've gotten to the point in the packager wizard process where you are prompted to select your preferred language for the install package.
I've chosen "English (International)" as the preferred language, as I don't want North American spelling, because I'm in Australia and we use U.K. spelling.
However, when the list of program appears with the check boxes next to them, Acrobat CC displays as "Acrobat DC - English (United Arab Emirates)"
Oddly enough, If I go back to the initial language choice prompt and change it to "English (United Arab Emirates)", it then just the language for the Acrobat DC app changes to just show "English" !?!?
Why does the Acrobat DC program change to "English (United Arab Emirates)" when I chose "English (International) as my preferred language??

Sorry for the misunderstanding. This English (UAE) has me puzzled. I have never seen an English pack with that name. Are you deploying for a company in that location? In other words, does the CC Packager ask for a location code or is the installer getting the region information from the OS?
Maybe you are deploying in International English, but it is appending your UAE location to the International English pack.
So my question is: Despite the location, is that English the UK type?

Incorrect BP selected when dragging sent email to Activity

Hi,
When dragging a sent item from Outlook to Activity in SAP (8.81 PL5) it does not recognise the correct Business Partner. It selects the same BP every time. It's fine for incoming emails.
Is there a setting that can be changed to allow the correct BP to be populated in the Activity?
The "Save email as activity" would not be an option as this closes the Activity.

Incorrect routing selection in LTP

Hi Experts,
We are facing issue in LTP. We are doing budget planning for 2015, for some of the materials the production routing is read when transferring planned activities to cost centers instead of the costing routing. In our planning scenario we have the settings that the costing routing should be taken before the production routing (OPU5).
Can anyone please tell me what parameters need to check in this case? As for some materials its working fine for some materials its picking incorrect routing. Masterdata is same for both materials.

All the 4 routings are valid from Oct.2014 to 31.12.9999.
The Order date is from Apr.2015.
I've made another test with 2 routings created with ECN and the order chose one without asking me what to choose. I don't know the criteria used in this functionallity.

Error when I "Update Vault Path..."

I have had some lingering problems with my Aperture library that I am just getting around to addressing. One is that I need to back up to my vault, but it is not letting me do so. When I hit the little (red) refresh button on the bottom of my window, I get the message:
"Update Connected Vaults?
Some vaults are not connected. Do you wish to replace the contents of all connected vaults with the current contents of your library?
This cannot be undone."
Because I'm an adventerous guy, I did this, but when I try to refresh my vault the next time I get the same error.
So I started poking around and found the "Update Vault Path" menu item. This sounds like it should solve my problem, but when I go through and select my vault and try to update the path I get the error message:
"Incorrect Vault Selected
The path could not be updated because the selected vault does not match the original vault."
This is definitely the right vault. It is on a partition of my Time Capsule. However I may have moved the file or changed the name of something a few months ago, which I suspect is why I'm having this problem now?
What do I do to get that vault path back in order?

Is this Aperture 3? Are you talking about one library or multiple libraries? How many vaults do you have connected to the library?
If you click the *show/hide Vaults* button what does Aperture show you? This is the name of your vault(s) and their locations. Does that match what you think it should be?
Sounds like you may be better off just creating a new vault and using that going forward.

Selected printer connection method is incorrect

Whenever I try to print to our networked Canon ir5020 copier, I get a message "The selected printer connection method is incorrect. Select the correct printer connection method in Printer List, and then try to add the printer."
I have tried it with PDFs and Word docs and still get the same message. If I click okay on the above message and the job spools to the printer I get another message "connection method not supported -9786".
I have also deleted the printer and added it again, via IPP.
I have tried printing from another user account on the same Mac and get the same. Other Macs on our network can print to the Canon without any problems.
I am using the Canon PS driver version 1.50, which appears to be the most up-to-date. I have also tried downgrading to version 1.40, which is the version the other Macs are using and it still does not work.
As a last resort I have reset my printing system and added my printers again – and I am still getting the same message.

Aperature Vault recovery from a backup

iMac with WD external hard drives. My external hard drive containing one of my older vaults crashed. I installed a new drive and restored the old drive contents via time machine to the new drive. In order to get Aperature to recognize the new drive location, I tried to Update Vault Path by selecting the new drive, folder, and the vault, but I get an error message that the vault is the incorrect vault, that it doesn't match the vault aperature thinks it should. What's up, and what can I do? I've deleted some of the pictures contained in that vault, and would like to be able to access them if needed.

By "older vault", I mean that I created a vault which I updated regularly. Then I wanted to remove some of my older pictures that I don't frequently access, to reduce the time Aperature spends managing the picture files. I created several libraries by years and put the older pictures in those libraries. I removed them from the regular Aperature library, and started a new vault for the new library. The vaults all are for the latest Aperature version. The only vault I can access is the current vault, which is on my primary drive along with my current library.
It appears Aperature is trying to check that the vault I am attempting to update to the new drive is really the same vault it is expecting. There must be some checksum or other test it uses.
Concerning what a vault is used for, I thought it was like a safe, where you keep stuff you don't want to lose. You have different vaults for different purposes, just like you have different libraries.

Report Selection Formula Error with Crystal Reports 2008 SP3 Fix Pack 3.5

My name is Carlos, and I would like to report a defect found in the Crystal Reports 2008 SP 3 Fix Pack 3.5 Runtime that is affecting the majority of our reports. As well, I would like to ask if there is a simple workaround that does not involve updating hundreds of reports.
The issue is that the runtime engine incorrectly returns the report selection formula. I have included sample code showing what I mean.
To reproduce;
1. Create a simple report that has a date range filter like:
({Orders.Order_Date} >= {?START_DATE})
AND ({Orders.Order_Date} <= {?END_DATE})
2. Create a test app as follow that loads a report using the following code:

If we were to repeat the same test above but use the Crystal Reports 2003 SP3 runtime (i.e. no Fix Pack), which can be dowloaded from [https://smpdl.sap-ag.de/~sapidp/012002523100007123592010E/cr2008sp3_redist.zip], we would get the correct report selection formula. A side-effect for this incorrect report selection formula is a runtime exception complaining about an errorkind and a boolean being expected.
Do you know if there is any workaround that I can apply in code, perhaps a different Fix Pack? Is there a Fix Pack expected to be released soon? It is not practical for us to update our reports and use a different style in the record selection formula because we have many such reports, and our customers probably have even more.

Validation check in selection screen

I have a selection screen in which there are 2 radio buttons S1 n S2, and a text field (Parameter) namely P_PATH.
I am using a method (CALL METHOD cl_gui_frontend_services=>file_save_dialog) for selecting a file to save some
data in the XLS format.
Once the user selects S2, and presses the F4 help in the parameter P_PATH, this method is called.

As Advait has pointed out already AT SELECTION_SCREEN OUTPUT event (or the PBO) does not trigger after the ON VALUE-REQUEST (or the POV) event.
You have to use the FM: DYNP_VALUES_UPDATE to update the selection-screen value.

Import vault from older version

I have a vault created on an old Mac Book (this has died and is not accessible to me) that I need to restore onto a different computer with Aperture 3.0 on it.
i have tried to restore the vault but get an error that the vault was created with and older version and to import the vault instead. I click import and get the very (un)helpful error message that Aperture was unable to find the necessary information to import the vault.... and nothing.. that's it, no further clue.
How can I import this vault?

Kirby, Thanks - I can't upgrade to 3.3.1 because according to the download page http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1553 that version required OS X 10.7.4 or later. I have OS X 10.6.8 and my version of Aperture is 3.1.2 which I think is as up to date as I can get on that version of OSX. The last time I checked for software updates nothing was download for Aperture as I recall, a couple of months ago.
I can't update that computer (a Mac Mini) again at the moment because it doesn't have internet access. It is installed on a boat, in a marina in deepest darkest Uruguay. I can only get internet access by lugging a laptop (windows) somewhere. I certainly can't upgrade to OS X Lion.
Anyway I tried to follow your instructions with what I have and these are the dialogues that I received.
I created the new library
Then did File - Vault - Restore Library ( note that Restore vault is not an option)
I choose to restore the library
I then get the error message
"Photos 1 backup" was created by an older version of Aperture, and can not be restored by this version.
To import the contents of the vault,select the import button
I click import, and receive this error message
Library import error
The library connot be imported because some the data required for import could not be found
The file is on a hard drive which according to the info is "Mac OS extended (journaled)"
Hmmmm just noticed that if I get the info for the vault file it shows as only 4k... is that just showing the folder size or is the vault empty?

HT3805 I recently replaced my internal HDD and cannot restore Vault created in 3.43

I have a late 2009 iMac and had to replace HDD. Prior to replacement I had version 3.43 and i made a vault of all existing image files on an external HDD. When I reinstalled Aperture I got version 3.44 and when I try to restore vault it will not open.

Database does not sort returned rows any how (unless you use order by in your query). The order of returned rows may be consistent over a long period but if the table contents is reorganized or (as I assume) you import data to anotehr database the order may change.
To make the long storry short: you need another filter condition than <tt>rownum = 1</tt>.

Vaults - access to...?

I'm currently working from my laptop. I have a backup drive with me, with all necessary files, including my main Aperture vault. I've read the book, but cannot see that I can access content of my main vault from my laptop. For clarity, the vault is several times larger than the laptop's hdd - so importing it is out.
Any ideas?

Step one, buy a new external drive large enough to take your entire library.
Step two, format the drive for MAC OSX etc...
Step three, restore library to the new drive.
This will give you access to your entire library in its full operable state.
If on the other hand there is a single image that you require and are happy to process the image outside of Aperture, you may do the following.
right click on the vault
select show package contents
DO NOT CHANGE ANYTHING WITHIN HERE!
navigate your way through the "Masters" folder and find the required image, COPY this image to another location and close all folders related to the vault.
Again do not change anything within the vault and copy the image to another location.
Me, I would restore the library allowing me to continue working.
