Incraesing size of QR barcode

Hi Team,
How can we increase the size of QR barcode in Adobeform ? I have tried in changing the properties of height and width in XML code,
But after the changes the code itself not displaying.  I have read some threads like
changed the barcodeDefinition-support from "Hardware" to "software". Where we can set this property ?
Can you please help me...!!
Thanks.
Regards,
Priya

Hello Priya,
You can set the hardware to software property in the XDC file. Please note that Zebra-printers do not support enlarged QR barcodes.
Refer to thread below

  • How to change the size of barcode

    Hi Gurus,
I need to print barcode on my smartform. I have created my own barcode using se73 transaction and assign it to character format in my style. But barcode on print is very small (about 6 cm x 1 cm) I need to have the barcode much bigger(about 10 cm x 4 cm).
Where  can I maintain barcode size?

  • Anybody experience with increasing barcode size on form?

We are printing an SU Label form with a barcode. The SU Label is a WM sapscript form. I've been trying to size up the barcode as large as possible to get our scanner to read it at least 30 feet. In SE73, my print control is currently set to:
    \e(s4p100h220v55,165b55,165s24704T
This gets us to around 20 feet before it can no longer be scanned. I'm wondering if anybody has insight into anything that can be done to improve the barcode readability at a larger size?
    Thanks, Vlad

The size of a barcode is determined by the printer escape sequence,
which is sent to the printer to switch on the barcode.
    Please go to transaction:
SE73 -> 'Printer Barcodes' -> Select your 'Device Type'
-> You get a list of the barcodes, which the device  type is able
to print. On the right side you see the names of two print
controls: A prefix to switch on the bar code (SBP...) and a
suffix to switch off the bar code (SBS...)
-> Highlight the print control name with the cursor and press the
            'Displ. print control' button.
-> You should now see the printer escape sequence that tells the
            printer to start the barcode.
This sequence selects amongst other things  the type and size of the
    barcode.
To get another barcode size, it is required to change this sequence.
Please copy the device type to another name before changing:
SPAD -> Utilities -> For device types -> Copy device type.
If you use a Jetcaps barcode SIMM, the attached Note 45643 explains the
sequences. Otherwise your printer manual should be able to help you.
Overall width cannot be changed, have to change width of bars and
    spaces.

However, the barcode area become grey if I using Adobe "Reader" to fill-in data!  I have tried to increase the size of the barcode area but still don't work.

    Hi everyone,
Any solution to this issue? Is there any cheap Adobe or third party component that enable us to design pdf forms with either livecycle designer or acrobat and provide dynamic barcode functionality for the end users having adobe reader?

  • Custom barcode not displayed after changing width

    Hi All,
I have a requirement to increase the size of the barcode from 9cm to 10cm in a SAPscript form.  Previously we were using the standard barcode BC_128B.  Using SE73, you can see the the configuration of standard barcode BC_C128B.
    Bar code        Width       Unit
    BC_C128B      9,00        CM
    ZBC12810     10,00        CM
ZBC12810 is the custom barcode that I created which slightly differ from the standard object (different width and description).  I also created a custom device types that is used by the barcode and then included the custom barcode in each one of the custom device types.
The above steps I did to create the custom bar code and device types can be found here: [Traditional Barcode printing for Smart Forms and Sapscript|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/68/4a0d5b74110d44b1b88d9b6aa1315b/content.htm]
I then changed the barcode defined in the sapscript.  The result was the barcode is not displayed anymore and only the barcode text is being displayed.
    Your inputs are greatly appreciated.

  • Barcoding AR Invoices

Can anyone tell me if Oracle AR has the ability to produce barcoding on invoices. Or if there is a product that interacts with Oracle to produce barcoding??

    Hi,
Barcodes are nothing but special fonts(trial versions would be available on internet for free and you might need to buy license for using the fonts in your production system). So if you want your invoices to have barcode, you will need to customize your invoice report to use that font and also install those fonts on your application server so that when the report is run it will print specific fields in barcode.
You might also need to consider the size of your barcode depending on the sensitivity of the scanners. I believe special printers(like Zebra printers) are also used sometimes.
    Hope this helps.

  • Barcode issues

When ever I place a Paper Forms Barcode on a form the barcode has an x in the upper right hand corner. No matter how I size the barcode I cannot get the red x to go away. If I enlarge the barcode the x then the tooltip say the "barcode is too large and the data cannot be displayed correctly". If I decrease the size eventually the tooltip changes to "The data does not fit in the barcode. The barcode is too small or the data set is too large." On some forms I can actually do a preview that will display the barcode despite the errors.
How can I size the barcode to prevent this? Is there a formula to determine the size of a barcode. What is the maximum amount of data a barcode can contain?

I had the same problem a while back using LC Designer 7.0. Here is an excerpt from my earlier forum post:
In Designer, the red X appears in the upper right corner of the barcode and the message states that the data does not fit into the barcode and advises me to make it larger.
On the other hand, if I size the barcode such that it gives me the barcode is too large warning, the barcode does not appear at all in PDF Preview mode.
When I PDF preview the form when it tells me "the data does not fit into the barcode", the barcode initially appears but then disappears when a certain threshold of data is input into the fields (which I suppose supports the warning that the barcode is not big enough).
I didn't receive much in the way of a response (I suspect because the object isn't all that widespread in its use). Adobe Support basically did tell me that there was no formula.
The one thing I did notice is that my original form had a few numeric fields on it, and I suspect this caused a problem because you cannot set a maximum character setting for a numeric field. Once I changed these all to text fields and set max character properties on each and every text field, my chances of success seem to increase (the barcode didn't disappear when filling out the form), although I Designer was still telling me the barcode wasn't sized properly.
The LC Designer 7.1 Help describes what to do if your Paper Forms Barcode object warns that it is too small, but it doesn't mention anything about the message stating that it is too large. I think they may have improved the use of this object in 7.1 as I don't seem to get the "barcode is too large" warning any more, but I still wish there was a more precise way to calculate the required size of the object, given a known number of max characters we are capturing on the form.

  • Unable to print barcode in smart forms in zebra 420 printer.

    Hi,
Can anyone please help me out with the following issue.
    1. I am unable to print the barcode using a zebra barcode printer from SAP. I use C128A format.
    2. But this issue doesn't come when I print the same form using a Laser printer. The scanner also detects the same correctly.
    3. The same barcode printer prints  my earlier forms with the same settings correctly.
May I please know where the issue exactly is?

    Hi,
Please check the size of the barcode in the styles and check ur printer settings.
The paper layout of the printer also needs to be checked.

  • QR Code Sizing in ZPL Output

    Hi,
I want to print a QR-Code with variable content on a Zebra Printer with ZPL. The handicap is that the size of the QR-Code should always be the same.
I have tried to change the XDC as described in SAP-Reference 1923734. After restarting the XML-Form-Module on the Document-Server it had no effect.
If the content of the barcode increases the size of the barcode increases as well.
    What am I doing wrong?
    thanks & best regards
    Frank

    I solved the problem.
    ...if anybody is interested:
I took a newer version of zpl-xdc and changed the barcodeDefinition-support from "Hardware" to "software". After that the qrcode comes as an image to the Zebra-printer.
Now I can manage the size of the qrcode by changing the barcode-property "moduleHeight" and "moduleWidth". The value stands for one module of the barcode.
The problem is that I have different contents; if the content gets bigger there will be a higher barcode-level with more modules. For more information: http://www.qrcode.com/en/about/version.html
So I have to find out how many modules there will be. I wrote a little abap-function to calculate the moduleHeight for a different size of content based on ECC-Level and binary input.
....it works: I get the same qrcode-size for any content.

  • Storage location labels

I have an issue with barcode label config. Company has decided to decrease the size of the barcode label that is used on some of the storage locations, storage types and bins. Label design is already created but I want to know what are the necessary configurations we have to carry at IM and WM level for using this decreased new label design.
I understand that current logistic procedures ( like GR, picking etc) are not going to be changed. Only change I observe is the size of the label. Previously the label size used is 54 and now they are planning to use 32 and as I said this change is only for storage locations, types and bin's to identify their addresses using scanning devices.

    Hi Pritesh,
You may refer note 493316 for some details:
storage location will almost always appear - except when it is at this
time a clearly identifyable case in which no storage location is
    necessary. These cases are:
    1.  GR for a purchase order with account assignment (Account assignment
without special stock E or Q) for a material managed according to
        value.
    2.  GR for a purchase order with account assignment (Account assignment
without special stock E or Q) for non-stock material.
    3.  GR for an assigned stock transport order (Account assignment without
        special stock E or Q).
    4.  GR for a purchase order in the GR blocked stock.
    5.  Postings with special stock indicators O, P, V, W.
In particular this means that you can first enter a goods movement for a
non-stock material with storage location. This is not prevented during
the entry. Only when you try to post the document, the system issues
message M7097: "No stock posting possible for this material".
    Thanks and regards,
    Polly
