Hi,
I would agree with Alans post but I would add this to it.
First make sure you are in the right directory, running copy/b just anywhere isn't going to work. When you downloaded the files, you put them some where. Find them, then in the cmd line, cd to them. Like Alan shows his are in the download directory.
Next see how Alan has typed it out, that is what you must do...take note that the last name, (sol-10-u3-ga-x86-dvd.iso) is probably of Alans choosing. When you use the copy/b option, the last name is what you are creating. I like a simple name, like "SXpress.iso" that works for me. (I havn't a clue why the worlds best operating system uses the worlds worst file naming convention) lol
Okay, hit enter...it should compile. If it doesn't, maybe you don't have any DVD software upon your box. Or perhaps you mistyped something, double check and make sure your squared away...then go at it.
Once compiles, now burn it to DVD. It should work fine.
Have fun,
Chooch

I've been having issues with updating my iPod. I've been trying to manually update my iPod however everytime I attempt to it tells me I have to restore my iPod. I've synced it to my laptop and haven't tried to sync it to anyone else's. Any suggestions?
There is a free program called Senuti that will take the music from iPod and put it back on the computer/iTunes. Macworld gives it 4.5 out of 5 mice. I have not yet needed something like this, but give it a shot. I do believe this will only work with Apple computers though. Just thought I would add it to this thread instead of starting a new one

Q What facility does Oracle provide to detect chained and migrated rows after the proper tables have been created?
The RDBMS cannot detect this. It must use regular export and import with compress=y to remove chained and migrated rows as part of the regular database.
The UTLCHAIN utility
The DBMS_REPAIR package
The ANALYZE command with the LIST CHAINED ROWS option
The DBMS_MIG_CHAIN built-in package
Q While doing an export, the following is encountered:
ORA-1628 ... max # extents ... reached for rollback segment ..
Referring to the scenario above, what do you do differently so that the export is resumed even after getting the space allocation error?
Use the RESUMABLE=Y option for the export.
Run the export with the AUTO_ROLLBACK_EXTEND=Y option.
Increase the rollback segment extents before running the export.
Use THE RESUME=Y option for the export.
Monitor the rollback segment usage while the export is running and increase it if it appears to be running out of space.

Please Answer some question..For the warranty
I am planning to buy new mac book pro 13inch.
But I was worrying if I buy an extra HDD and replace it into my New macbook pro by myself.
Will it void my MBP whole warranty?
I have no idea and found no answer on whole supporting page, so ask it here.
If any disturbing here, sorry for ALL.Leo628 wrote:
But I have one more question.
Does the original RAM and HDD have warranty with the MBP(1yr) and Apple Care(3yr)?
Yes, whatever RAM and HD shipped with the MBP is covered under the 1/3 year warranty, as long as nothing you do harms it.
If not, I can trade it to replace 4GB ram ^^
If, by "trade," you mean get rid of it, I would not do that. If you ever have to have your MBP repaired under warranty, and new RAM is installed, you may have a problem with Apple or an AASP. Prior to having it serviced, I would put the original RAM back in. -

New to this, Please help!
I needed to Download J2SE SDK for my programming class. The problem I am having is I have downloaded and installed but now it wont let me set a class path. From my Professor:
"It sets the class path.
TO SET THE PATH:
Open Search and type java.exe. You should get something like C:/jdk./bin
Copy that exact location."
The problem I have is when I do the search it doesn't find the C:/jdk file, but I can see it on my hard drive. When I try to use the cmd prompt, it tells me it is not an internal or external command.........it wont allow me to get to the java prompt.
Any help would be appreciated as I now have a 0 for my class but she will allow me a grade if I can get the program to work, just take off for it being late.Just try typing javac, nothing else. Does it find the command? You did it right. Does it fail to find the command? You did it wrong.
Also, for us to know what mistakes may have occurred, please type the command path in your CMD window. It will give you output. Copy and paste that output here.
Mine says something like (reduced for clarity):
PATH=C:\WINDOWS\system32;C:\WINDOWS;C:\WINDOWS\System32\Wbem;C:\Program Files\ATI Technologies\ATI Control Panel;C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.5.0\bin
Notice that my java bin path is in the PATH environment variable?

New to this game! Basic questions I suppose ! !
Hi everybody!
I just attended an Oracle presentation of Ifs. The product seems very interesting. I would need some information in order to evaluate Ifs versus our company needs.
Thanks for answering!!
1. I know thatwe can add custom properties to folders and documents... How can we accomplish that? By creating XML files?
2. Is it possible to use the Ifs search functionalities with our custom properties? And can we perform advanced search by using
logical operators?
3. After implementing a type of document in a production environment, is it possible to use add or remove custom properties to it?
And what would be the impacts?
4. I know that Ifs can use "versionning"... how to use that functionality? And is it possible to restrict the access to the older versions for a particular type of user (... that would only need to see the "up-to-date"
version)?
5. When we add custom properties to a type of document, how do we allow end users to fill those properties with a value (UI)?
6. Is there a specific place where the users can see the custom attributes associated with their documents?
7. Suppose I created a custom property for a folder. Every time I save a document within that folder, can I use the value of that
custom folder property within an agent to perform some tasks?
Thanks again for helping me.
Have a good day!!
Patrick
null1. I know thatwe can add custom properties to folders and documents... How can we accomplish that? By creating XML files?
Subclass Document or PublicObject or other iFS types with XML. You can add custom attributes to your type.
2. Is it possible to use the Ifs search functionalities with our custom properties?
And can we perform advanced search by using logical operators?
Yes. You can search based on custom attributes.
3. After implementing a type of document in a production environment, is it possible to use add or remove custom properties to it? And what would be the impacts?
4. I know that Ifs can use "versionning"... how to use that functionality? And is it possible to restrict the access to the older versions for a particular type of user (... that would only need to see the "up-to-date" version)?
Yes. You can restrict the access to the older versions for a particular type of user. You can use versioning in our UI environment or programmatically. After you make a file versioned, you can check it out and check in again to create a new version.
5. When we add custom properties to a type of document, how do we allow end users to fill those properties with a value (UI)?
You can use a XML to update it. Our UI doesn't allow you to do so for production.
6. Is there a specific place where the users can see the custom attributes associated with their documents?
You can view it in the properties sheet of WebUI or see in through our command line interface.
7. Suppose I created a custom property for a folder. Every time I save a document within that folder, can I use the value of that
custom folder property within an agent to perform some tasks?
Agents detects the creation, modification and deletion of a document or a folder. You should be able to detect the modification of the folder and you can implement the agent code to filter for certain values.

Upgrade from CS6 to CC: please answer my question
While upgrading from CS6 to CC and using the CS6 Master Collection serial number will my existing CS6 Master Collection license remain legal and working and I'll be able to use it in case I will stop CC subscription one day for example?
Thank you in advance for your prompt reply!Taking a new subscription on the basis of existing CS6 will not affect your CS6 perpetual product. You will still have your CS6 license with you and can use it afterwards.
