Increase Chinese Text Size In Pinyin Language Selection?

Hi, all,
I use the Pinyin language input on my Mac computers running Lion.  When you enter the pinyin--in any application text entry--Lion adds a drop-down text box with the Chinese characters that offer a match to the pinyin.  But those characters are way too small for my eyes!  How do I increase the size of the Chinese characters in the drop-down text box that appear below my pinyin text?
Thanks!

Preferences > Candidate Window > Font Size
(You can find the Preferences toward the bottom of the "flag" menu when the Chinese IM is active)

  • How to increase/decrease text size in CS5?

    I came straight from DW MX and in CS5 if I want to, for example, change the font size just for one line in an article already published, I don't see a way to do it. At the bottom under Properties, I can select "CSS" and see the font size, but it wants me to create a CSS. I have two text lines in different cells in one table, and I want them to match, and I don't want the rest of the text on the webpage to change. Yet it seems that I have to create a new CSS if I so much as breathe hard.
    Is there a way to just change the text size without having to jump through all these CSS steps, which I don't like nor want?

    The paradigm of web creation has completely changed and I completely feel your pain.
    Nowadays, instead of saying <make this font big make this font italic make this font red>This is the big red text</end all of the make this font stuff individually>
    we create a separate style sheet that has the following:
    .fontstyle-for-big-and-red {
         font: big;
         color: red;
         font: Italic;
    Then we call the style:
    <class="fontstyle-for-big-and-red">This is the big red text</class>
    Here is the advantage of that:
    You make the definitions for the change of text once and then you can use it often in your website without needing to re-create all of those inline styles.
    Web browsers load up your styles once and hold them in their cache, so your web page renders faster.
    You don't have a ton of inline style stuff in your website cluttering up your content so search engines can really find what you want to talk about in your website.
    With time, defining these styles makes repeated page production a snap.
    Now, I will be the first to admit that there is a learning curve with all of this. And it is going to take you some time to change the way you work. But, you'll make better websites and, after you have learned all of this stuff, it will be easier for you.
    Your schedule being packed, you might consider hiring someone who does know this to cut down on some of the workload while you learn this.

  • How do I increase the text size when I click the T button in  Adobe Reader

    On some documents in Adobe Reader when I wish to enter text using the T button, I am given the option of the font and size of text. However, on other documents, a very small text size is used with no option to change it.  How can I change the text size or bring up the option window?

    Press Ctrl+E to open the properties bar, where you could set the font size.

  • How do I increase the text size in photoshop 10

    I can't read the program text it is so small and I can't find how to increase it.  Thanks for your help.

    Unfortunately, there's no way to increase the size of the text on the App Store itself but enabling the zoom feature in System Preferences > Universal Access - Seeing might be a workaround for you.

  • Can anyone tell me how to increase the text size in my menu bar and drop down menus?

    Just bought a new 27" screen iMac.  The menu bar and drop down menu text is much to small for me to see without leaning close to the screen.  Does anyone know how to customize the text to a larger size.  This is an issue for any program I open.

    Once upon a time Apple displays packed in 72 dots to an inch (making their resolution 72 DPI). That meant that what we saw on screen at 100% scale was exactly what was printed on a printer - not to mention quite comfortable to read. However that advantage was eclipsed by the fact that photopgraphs and video were pixelated and the only solution to that was to increase the resolution - to pack in more dots per inch - which has the side effect of shrinking the size of text. Where I once used Word at 100% scale I now find it most comfortable at 150% scale.
    There are several solutions. One, as Lex gave you, was to reduce the resolution of the LCD display. But unlike CRT displays, an LCD is tuned to a specific resolution and when you change it the results tend to be blurry. Another is to keep the resolution as it is and to adjust each program (if the program allows it). This makes Word usable and your browser can be set to use no font smaller than a size you set (which has some unpleasant side affects at some Web sites), but some programs and some parts of programs cannot be changed. The menubar and menus are among them. The third solution is one that Apple promised several years ago but has not yet provided - a resolution independant GUI. We can only hope that comes soon. And there's another partial solution - look in System Preferences under Accessibility.

  • How do I increase the text size on my Apple TV?

    I have a nearly new Apple TV with up-to-date software.  I am enormously pleased with the product, for the most part.  Unfortunately, though I am not 'officially' visually impaired, I am quite nearsighted.  Alas, even with my 32 inch 1080P Toshiba LCD television, I cannot read the smaller print in which most of the menu options, titles, and especially programming descriptions appear without getting up from my seat and moving to within a couple of yards or so from my TV.  Is there any way to increase the font or typeset that is used for various categories of information as they are displayed on my screen?  I am at wit's end with this one.  It seems that for all of the progress that Apple has made in improving the accessibility of its products for people with various impairments, this apparent shortfall is a remarkable oversight (or undersight....).   Thanks.  Rich S.

    >apple will offer what is mist likely a simple fix...
    Not a simple fix.  Allowing the UI font sizes to be varialbe means that they have to go back and test every screen and every error message with each of the possible sizes.  At a minum it doubles the QA testing for each release.

  • How to increase the text size of the af:message/ tag

    Hi ,
    I am using Jdev 11.1.1.6.0,
    I want to display the facesContext message as bold with large font, and i have written like this but it is not displaying in bold.
    <af:messages id="m1" inline="true" inlineStyle="font-size:large; font-weight:bold;"/>
    A waiting for reply.

    Hi,
    Not necessarily, if you have JSFUtils add one more method to it like:
    public static void addMultiLineFacesErrorMessage(String msgline1, String msgline2, String msgline3 ) {
            FacesContext ctx = getFacesContext();
            StringBuilder msgStr = new StringBuilder("<html> <body> <b>");
                    msgStr.append("<br>"+msgline1+"</br>");
                    msgStr.append("<br>"+msgline2+"</br>");
                    msgStr.append("<br>"+msgline3+"</br>");
                    msgStr.append("</b></body></html>");
            FacesMessage fm =
                new FacesMessage(FacesMessage.SEVERITY_ERROR, msgStr.toString(), "");
            ctx.addMessage(getRootViewComponentId(), fm);
        }or you can create your own utility class and add methood to it and use it on you bean like this
    JSFUtils.addMultiLineFacesErrorMessage("Message Line 1", " - Message Line 2...", "");Regards,
    Lalit

  • How to increase text size of a Column header of table in webdypro

    Hi All,
    Can anybody suggest me how to increase the text size of a column header of table in webdyrpo. I didnt find any option anywhere. can anybody help me out to solve this issue?
    Regards
    Ravikumar

    Hi Ravikumar,
    As Sukanta has suggested create a Simpletype of String Type and Length 40.
    Then create a context for the column header and for its type, instead of choosing
    from the drop down, choose the 3 dots.
    In the window that appears, select Local Dictionary, and Select the Simpletype
    that you have created, from the respective package name. And click OK.
    This will make the text of ColumnHeader of type String and Length 40.
    Hope it helps.
    Regards,
    Alka.

  • Increase text size for macbook air.

    How do I increase the text size in preferences? Can't seem to find it

    If you are using Safari, from the Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Advanced tab.
    Try the font accessibility feature. Or, from the Safari menu bar click View > Zoom In or Zoom Out. You can also elect to choose Zoom Text Only.
    For Mail. From the Mail menu bar click Mail > Preferences then select Fonts & Colors
    If none of the above help, try a different screen resolution.
    Open System Preferences > Displays > Display then select Scaled.
    And try System Preferences > Accessibility > Zoom

    You need to download and install an additional program to make the fonts bigger, it does not cost much (€9.95):

    I'm trying to intercept the 'increase/decrease text size"

    Tank you.

    In the Finder, choose Show View Options from the View menu. This opens up a panel that allows you to increase or decrease text or icon size on the Desktop. Repeat the process with a Finder window open, and be sure to choose the "All windows" option.

  • Iphoto contact sheet - how to increase text size

    The only way to change the text size is to reduce the number of columns for the contact sheet and then it's not a lot different.

  • Increase text size reading

    In page view on an iPhone, the reader displays the whole page, but the text is minuscule; is there a way to increase the text size without having to scroll back and forth? Is it possible to have editorial formatting?

    Hello Steve,
    thank you for your response. I am aware of the gestures used to zoom in and out; what I would like to avoid is the constant to-ing and fro-ing that is inevitable upon magnification. Apparently, there is no feature to remedy this issue, which is a shame.
    Nonetheless, thank you for your help.
