Increase File attachement size/number of attachments
Hello all,
Is there any way to raise the MAXIMUM file attachment size limit in Service Manager? We have a need to have more than 10 attachments to a request and have those attachments be more than 10mbs each (the max in the GUI). Has anyone figured out how to
increase this maximum in Service Manager 2012?
The restrictions for these settings are simply hard coded into the GUI. Why, I do not know. However, it is possible to over-ride, please see this blog from Marcel Zehner:
http://marcelzehner.ch/2013/07/06/increase-the-number-of-max-incident-attachments-to-more-than-10/

Increase email attachment size
Hi All,
We're running Exch2010 servers with approx. 14000 mailboxes. We're planning to increase email attachment size from 10 MB to 20 MB. I'm aware about places I need to make changes but my concern is that do we need to take anything in consideration before increasing
the attachment size?
Any calculation about storage impact etc.?

If you are increasing the message size and have concerns, you can plug that info into the mailbox calculator and increase the average message size number.
http://gallery.technet.microsoft.com/Exchange-2010-Mailbox-Server-Role-/
Note however that just because you allow larger messages, it doesnt necessarily mean the average message size per user will increase.

Hello,
I have solaris9 system where on disk c0t0d0, I have 7 partitions. The first partition shows file system mounted=yes with 10GB space. This file system is near full ( 95% used). I need to increase the size. How can I do that?
I have another partition that shows 30GB and file system mounted=no. Can I create a file system to use this 30 GB? Does it disturb existing file system?
Appreciate your help.I agree with the guest poster a few posts up. This could be a unique opportunity to think about Bike Trials something that she would really love to do.
Instead of just looking at what's available, think first about what you really want - what would be Bike Trial Seller fulfilling and enjoyable. Is there anything creative she has always wanted to do?
If she loves being a nurse, look at other opportunities within this field that would not involve physical work.
If nursing is just a job, and Bike Store she doesn't enjoy it that much, then look at this as a pointer towards doing something different.
Start making Bike Shop brainstorming lists about all the jobs she would love to and could do - you will come up with something that she can feel excited about.

File attachment size on CSS/ ACNS/content engine
Our great Peoplesoft developers raised the question whether the CSS/ACNS/ContentEngine are capable of detectng the size of the attachment and if it possible to set the allowable size.
Aparrently, the great Peoplesoft don't do this and guess what they pass everything to Comms to solve their freaking problem.
Thanks in advance.
BenjaminI saw your previous query for the same question and decided at that time to not answer to see if sb else had an idea but since you ask it again, the answer is "not possible".

From your description, I would like to clarify the following thing:
There are some types of message size limits and several scope of limits. Please check the message size limits and attachment size limits in your organization, connector, server and user.
For more information, here is a helpful thread for your reference:

How to determine the size of a flat file attachment in a mail sender cc?
Hi
I use PI 7.11
I have a scenario where a flat file attachment is being picked up by a MailSender adapter and if the size of the attached flat file is larger that 500 bytes the receiver is A and if the attachment is less that 500 bytes the receiver is B.
I have checked the Context Object list in the Conditions section of Receiver Determination, and it seems, that only the file adapter allows for validation on the file size.
I contemplated an extended receiver determination but the attachment is a flat file which just needs to be passed thru without being converted to an XML document, so my source document is not of XML format.
An other but not very nice way would be to use an intermediate folder to drop the attachment in and from there use a file sender adapter and thus get access to the filesize attribute in my receiver determination, but I would like to avoid this.
Any suggestions?
BR MIkaelHi
I have decided to make a module, where I plan to place the size of the attachment in the Dynamic Configuration variable "ProcessStep", but to my surprise, it seems that all the context objects in the receiver determination condition section are of type String and hence it is not possible to make a condition where I test for whether the value is smaller than say 500!? Only equal, NOT equal and LIKE are available (EX seems to be disabled as this probably only works in an xpath.
Would one way be to use the xpath expression like this ns1:Main\ProcessStep < 500 where ns1: http://sap.com/xi/XI/System?

kin dlyhelp me on this....
Thanks in advance,
PrathapSorry, can't be done.
If it was any other filesystem than root, you could do by using SVM.
But root filesystems can't be stripes or concats. Only simple mirrors.
So SVM isnt going to work.
If the spare space was after the partiton. You might have been able to do it by the "dirty" method of manually expanding the partition and using
growfs to expand it. You would have had to do it by netbooting or cd booting since growfs can't be used on the current root.
But in any case, you can't do that either since the space if before the partition not after it.
So, reinstalling is your only option..
Well, If you have a spare disk, you might be able to copy the filesystem over to a larger partition on the other disk, growfs it and boot off that instead.
You'd want to try it on a test systen first... -
Where can I Increase the size limit for attachments
Good Morning:
I am working in OCS R2 (9.0.4). Where can I Increase the size limit for attachments in the messages sent. Also can I set this parameters to user level or the change affect every user in the system?
Thanks a lot.babowa wrote:
The only way to increase the fonts on your desktop would be system wide by going down a notch on the resolution. Some people won't do it because it increases the pixel size so the fonts won't be quite as sharp; I decided I'd rather have that than having to squint continuously. Go to System Preferences > Displays > Scaled > this will give you all resolution options available. No harm in trying - just check the default (top) choice again if you don't like any of the others.
It's a b*&^ch getting old . I still use the screen zoom instead of decreasing resolution, but maybe soon ... -
Help!..CS4 IS INCREASING FILE SIZES.
Hi all
Wondered if anyone has had a problem with increased files sizes when opening a document up in Photoshop? Anything i open up is increased by two thirds in file size and i've no idea why ( e.g..8MB doc opens as 24MB doc)
What is even more strange is that it won't let me reduce a file size to anything under 1MB.
Has anyone ever come across this problem?...would appreciate any help.
Thanks
BriHey Noel
Fair Play.
This is what is happening.
I’ve got a standard JPEG file that viewed in Explorer and Bridge reads as a 2.70MB (2838,796 bytes) file. Pixel dimensions 797x1000. Document size 6.75 x 8.47cm .Res 300 PPI.
When I open it in CS4 it reads 2.28MB. (This is the first thing I don’t understand)
Either way my simple( so I thought ) objective is to decrease the file size.
In the image size box I have re-set the resolution to 72ppi as I just need to post the image on a Website. My before and after calculations in the image Panel reads (was 2.28MB...now 134.3k)
Great! .this is what I want, However..... when I ‘save as’ and the JPEG compression box appears it has suddenly increased the file to 1.8MB Large file...and only allows me to reduce it to 1.7MB small file.
Admittedly this is not my area of expertise....I’m doing something wrong so any pointers would be much appreciated.

Hitesh Hi. Please note below, the stacktrace and exception is coming from the
Pointbase DBMS, nothing to do with Sybase. It seems to be an issue
with a configurable limit for PointBase, that you are exceeding.
Please read the PointBase configuration documents, and/or configure
your MDBs to use Sybase.

After converting CR2 Raw files to Jpeg the size of the files is too small. How if possible Can one increase file size in Elements 9? Thanks
Why on earth do you want to have "larger" files?
JPG uses compression to reduce the size of the resulting files. If you're concerned about the picture quality because of JPG's lossy compression method, simply set the JPG "Quality" setting to its maximum.
