Increase Flash Player Video cache

When playing flash videos the video will stop and then load
more, multiple times. I want to increase the initial size of the
cache before it starts downloading so I can watch a video to
completion without it stopping. Even after the video finishes when
I move the progress bar back to an all ready played section it will
reload that section and then freeze at points and load more.
I've set my browser temp files usage size to 1gig and the
local and global storage of the flash player to 10mb and it didn't
help. I cleaned out the temp files without any help. The machine
with the problem is running xp with ie 7 and a dsl connection. Is
there a connection type detect that is reporting a speed that is
faster than it really is or is there a place I can increase the
cache size?
Oh and I did uninstall the player and install the newest
version.

Hello,
I have the same problem for a very very .... long time.
Whenever I try to watch a video on youtube or google video
or sites like these, the video plays only for two seconds and then
picture freezes. On the other I always notice that the video loads
normally and completely 100%. I can even move to another part of
the video and then it just plays again for two seconds and freezes
again. I tried playing with the global and site memory setting that
flash player use to store content but I didn't manage to get over
this problem (even gave unlimited memory storage). The important
thing is that it happens on major sites that use flash technology
for video, like youtube, google video, netcafe.
I appreciate your support.

  • How to see flash player videos?

How to see flash player videos? When I try it, I get an error message ...Thanks for your help

Flash is not supported on the iPad : http://www.apple.com/hotnews/thoughts-on-flash/
Depending on what sites you are trying to access, you might find that some of them (probably more so if they are news sites) have their own apps in the App Store which might let you get some of the content that you want (and there is the built-in YouTube app). Also there are browsers such as Skyfire which 'work' on some sites - but judging by the reviews not all sites. If you want to play flash games then you are probably out of luck if you want to play on-line though the iSwifter app might work on some of them, but again some flash games have app versions in the store.

  • Airplay mirroring not compatible with adobe flash player videos

anybody else have this problem with playing adobe flash player video via Airplay mirroring?  The video freezes on me and the audio quits...

It is on OSX though.  They are playing it from a laptop.
And AirPlay freezes quits and generally does not work well regularly unless you have an absolutely perfect network setup.  I am assuming you are using WiFi.  If you want to use AirPlay you will probably at least need ATV connected via a wired connection.

  • C:\Users\User_name\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Flash Player\File Cache\file.vbs

Hello, I'm having a problem with a Windows Script Host error, everytime I restart my computer, a window popup saying that it is not possible to find the script file in "C:\Users\User_name\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Flash Player\File Cache\file.vbs". Is there any way to solve this problem? Thank you in advance.

    that's not an adobe file.
update your antivirus definitions and run a thorough antivirus scan of your computer.

  • Why does my mac have issues with flash player videos

I was trying to watch a couple different videos last night for work and they wanted to use flash player.. however every time i tried to click on them to open them my macbook pro popped a message up saying that the flash player crashed that it would send a report to apple. how can i get pass this and fix it? i already tried downloading another flash player

Install Flash from here an try again
    http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/
Also download and run ALL the cleaning and maintenance aspects of the free OnyX and reboot.
    http://www.titanium.free.fr/
OnyX won't hurt anything, it will clean out all the cache and other files that might be corrupted and causing your problems, they will get rebuilt and your problem may disappear.
Also if there is something else wrong, OnyX's checkers may catch a larger issue which you tell us here so we can recommend further actions based upon that information.
Always backup your data to a external drive, cd/dvd's, (in addiiton to TimeMachine if your using that) so whatever happens at least that's safe.

  • Flash player videos do not load properly about 80% of the time

    Using 64 bit W7
Firefox 12, latest version of Chrome
latest version of FP as of yesterday (11.2.202.233)..reinstalled about 6 times trying to fix this in the past week.
Ever since I updated flash player about a week and a half ago (I dont know what version I was using before...the auto-updater told me to upgrade so I did ..big mistake I guess), every video site, every video has had issues loading unless I get extremely lucky. I usually have to refresh the videos about 4 or 5 times to get them to fully load. When they DO finally load they usually do so at a snail pace.  Most of the time the videos will load 40-70% and then just freeze their buffer forever until I refresh a bunch. I know this is a flash issue because it happens on both FF and Chrome, and I switched to the HMTL5 trial on Youtube and have had ZERO issues with HMTL5 videos. Unforutnately, youtube is the only big website that seems to support HMTL5 right now so that's not a solution. And of course, the biggest factor in me knowing this is a flash issue is because it happened the very day I upgraded to this version.
Any help at all would be appreicaited...I've tried all the things listed on the FAQs such as disabling HMTL5, clearing cache, completely installation. deleting Flash's cache completey, ect ect....no changes at all.

    Could do the following please.
Download the Flash player uninstaller first of all and save it somewhere you can find it again easily.
Download the Flash player installer next and save that to the same place.
Disable your antivirus scanners next. If you use AVAST, right click the orange icon in systray, go to "Avast Shields Control" and choose to disable all shields for one hour. If you're not using AVAST, consult this list for instructions on how to disable it: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/topic114351.html Particularly, if you're using AVG, open Firefox, press CTRL+SHIFT+A to open the Add-ons manager, go to the Extensions submenu and disable "AVG Linkscanner" and "AVG Safe Search". Both of these will interfere with the download process otherwise.
If Firefox is open, close it.
If you're running any apps which use Flash like AIM or any games, close them before proceeding with the next step.
Next, run the Flash uninstaller which will also remove the the program from Firefox and from Internet Explorer (but not from Chrome).
Next, run the Flash installer. This will only install Flash in Firefox. Do not open Firefox before you run it though.
Next, open Firefox, hit CTRL+SHIFT+A to open the Firefox Add-ons manager, go to the Plugins menu and confirm that Shockwave Flash 11.2.202.235 is visible.
Go to a site where you were unable to play videos before and see if these troubleshooting steps made any difference.
If everything works properly, open Internet Explorer, go to http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/?promoid=BUIGP and download Flash for IE. Uncheck the optional McAfee installer because you don't want that. When you see the option to Run, or Save, choose "Run" to install it immediately.
As regards Google Chrome, the Flash player is intergrated in the browser and updates automatically in the background. You cannot update it manually. If Chrome continues to exhibit problems, consult this page for possible solutions: Google Chrome Issues
AVAST will re-enable itself automatically after an hour, but you may need to re-enable other AV apps manually.

  • Problem with a flash player video on a particular website

Hi, I can't get the video to play correctly on the mypanini website MyPanini All I get is a partial video.  I've tried the website on two laptops, an Ipad and a desktop all using different operating systems etc. and it's always the same.  My flash player is up to date and working correctly elsewhere.  I've contacted the website a few times with no reply.  Any help?

It is working perfectly well now.  I visited the website every day for a couple of weeks and it didn't work.  I haven't checked it for a couple of weeks and now it works

  • Adobe Flash Player video not streaming correctly (since 10/14/11)

    Hello!
I'm a full-time, daily user of Flash Player as I got rid of my TV and started depending on websites to watch live TV streaming, full episodes or videos.  I've never had any issues with FP working properly until about midnight, FP video streaming is pausing/buffering every 2-3 seconds.  I have already spent hours making sure my notebook (which is 3 weeks old) did not have any software updates, pc performance issues, and also ran full scans for any possible viruses through McAfee and Windows Defender which completed sucessfully.  Additional maintenance including uninstalling and reinstalling Adobe FP 11, made sure all browser ad-ons were disabled, disabled automatic software to run at start-up, checked for any "failed" updates in history and fixed (1) failed update in Windows, deleted browsing history and cookies, uninstalled any unimportant software such as Bing, checked memory usage, troubleshoot issues in control panel and disabled display hardware acceleration in adoble FP settings per instructions read in online support.  I do pay for IT Service through my ISP which was my last attempt to fix this issue, however, I was hoping to get any advise from you first because I did see that there is a note in your website that Adobe is performing maintenance updates at this time, and I'm hoping this might be the reason afterall.  I appriciate your rapid responsse to any advise or help before I continue to diagnose any performance isses further with my IT.  Thank you so much!!!!

Windows Defender is not an anti-virus program in the traditional sense, it simply sweeps the hard drive for a limited number of known malware and will not interfere with any other installed anti-virus software such as McAfee.
I seriously doubt that the anti-virus software has anything to do with these Flash Player problems at all, but regardless my advice would be to uninstall McAfee and download Microsoft Security Essentials direct from the Microsoft website - this is a full, free, anti-virus suite which also makes Windows Defender obsolete (it will probably remove Windows Defender for you automatically).
There seems to have been a lot of problems for a lot of people with Flash Player 11, if removing McAfee didn't solve your problem then I would advise uninstalling Flash Player 11 (there is a Flash Player uninstaller available on the Adobe website - http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/141/tn_14157.html) and going back to a previous Flash Player version to see if that cures your problem.  I am in the process of doing the same thing myself as since updating to 11 my streaming video has been messed up, I can think of no other explanation than shoddy coding / testing in Flash Player 11.  The Flash Player 10.3 installer is available here - http://www.adobe.com/support/flashplayer/downloads.html#fp10.3 and here - http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/142/tn_14266.html

  • Flash Player Video Performance issue in IE 9.0.124

So everything was going fine until we got all users to update
their player to the new 9.0.124 version. We host HD videos on our
site and people love the quality we provide. Well at least until
now. Videos started to stutter while download is still in progress.
That is once the video is completely downloaded the stuttering
stops. This is seen only is IE (on Windows). On FireFox and Safari
(on Windows) this issue is not seen at all.
Now we have a ExternalInterface call back in the download
progress event that calls into a javascript method on the page.
This javascript method simply displays the information it gets as a
parameter. No complicated or tim consuming work is being done here.
After doing some tests we find that if we remark out the call
to ExternalInterface.addCallback the stuttering stops happening. So
it looks to me like something has changed (in this new version) in
the way the ExternalInterface stuff works, to the extent that it
    hampers video playback.

    Bentley,
Don't mean to shoot the messenger...so please take this in
    good faith.
I'd gladly log a bug if anything was ever done about it. I've
been logging bugs with Adobe on Flash player and Flex for two years
but these bugs are still outstanding and deferred to the next
release :). Releases come and go but the issues are outstanding.
These issues are show stoppers for a lot of people.
I see no point in me taking the extra effort if nothing is
going to be done about it. Other software companies I work with
    respond immediately.
Others, won't see the issue unless they're doing what we are
:). Things were working fine until we upgraded to the new player.
To me that's an issue that needs to be addressed no?
I'd gladly provide you with two links, one that shows this
issue and one that does not if it helps verify the problem.

  • Downloading from a Macromedia Flash Player Video

Is it possible to download a video message sent through
Sightspeed, that is in a Macromedia Flash Player format? I've tried
to right click it and all I get is Macromedia Flash Player
    Settings.

    oldmovieguy:
See if you can use Image Capture (located in the Application folder) to upload the video file to the desktop before importing into iPhoto.
    Do you Twango?
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've written an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 08 libraries. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.

  • Issue with Youtube and Flash Player, videos don't play after a while

When I go to Youtube I can watch videos, but after I've player 5 or 6, when I select the next one, I get a snowy screen with a message "The Adobe Flash Player is required for video playback. Get the latest Flash Player".  Issues is I already have the latest Flash Player, and it was playing fine just a minute ago. But from then on I cannot play more videos until I restart the computer. I'm tired of reinstalling Flash every day.
Win 7 64 bits, IE 9 and Firefox (happens with both)
    Flash Player 11.7.700.202
Apparently the browser at first recognizes that Flash is installed, but then it doesn't find it anymore. Not sure how that happens.

strangest thing...  a few 'non-youtube' sites still work ok, but still complain 'no javascript' ..
    so went to firefox (v17.0.4 ESR) 'tools, options, content' and yup,  javascript UNTICKED!!   :O :O  my bad memory? something else???  {shrugs}
ticked it, now ok........  think im getting old??????  ROFL..
