You can upgrade your flash memory if you want, but it's not cheap. You can buy a bigger memory at OWC > http://eshop.macsales.com/shop/SSD/OWC/ Look for OWC Aura Pro

  • Can I increase flash storage on macbook air??

Is it possible to increase the flash storage on a Macbook Air?  I have a 128GB and am running out of space.

You didn't specify the model of MBA you have, but if it is amongst the last two generations, you can check here.
Some contend it voids the warranty to upgrade your MBA in this manner. It is completely reversable if it becomes a potential issue, but make sure the expertise as shown in the install video is completely within your skill set.

Do you know if solid state storage DD of MacBook Pro is like flash Storage of MacBook Air? And do you know the specifications of MacBook Pro and MacBook Air RAM?

Uh, iFixit and the manufacturer of the upgradeable SSD Flash Storage for the 2010-2011 MBA would respectfully disagree. Yes, the volatile memory is not upgradeable, but the storage SSD (NAND Flash) is as upgradeable as it gets.

  • Updated osx and flash storage for macbook air and now i can't start up

I updated my macbook air, and now when it restarts I get a circle with a line through it, then the apple, then the screen turns blue, and then it takes me right to the disk utility.  It wont boot my desktop.  Help!

You say you updated the flash storage.  I'm guessing you just recently had it replaced by an Authorized Apple Service Center, perhaps as part of the replacement program.
If that's true, take it back to the Authorized Apple Service Center and have them fix it so the new flash drive boots for you.  They should have done that originally.

  • Flash storage in Macbook Air

    Hi all,
I am a bit confused here. I am informed that the Macbook Air 2013 uses Solid State Drive but in Apple's website, it just mentions 'Flash storage'. Is it just the same?

same thing, its solid state storage.
    distinction without a difference.
this is the SSD "flash storage" in the macbook Air, uses micro SATA
    interface:

  • How do you increase flash storage

I have the latest 2013 version of the MacBook Air. I bought the one with 128 gb and it has 15 gb left. How do you increase flash storage on the MacBook Air?

You cannot.  Your options are to sell your current machine and trade it for a 256GB model, or to purchase and use an external drive, or to clear out lots of space on your existing drive.

  • How to decrease the storage in macbook air

you mean decrease all the files filling your Air?
See here for answer about the OTHER which is taking up space:
    http://pondini.org/TM/30.html
    and here:
    http://pondini.org/OSX/DiskSpace.html
See Kappys excellent note on the rest of “other” files taking up your space:
What is "Other" and What Can I Do About It?
In the case of a Macbook Air or Macbook Pro Retina with ‘limited’ storage on the SSD, this distinction becomes more important in that in an ever rapidly increasing file-size world, you keep vital large media files, pics, video, PDF collections, music off your SSD and archived on external storage, for sake of the necessary room for your system to have free space to operate, store future applications and general workspace.  You should never be put in the position of considering “deleting things” on your macbook SSD in order to ‘make space’.
Professionals who create and import very large amounts of data have almost no change in the available space on their computers internal HD because they are constantly archiving data to arrays of external or networked HD.
Or in the case of the consumer this means you keep folders for large imported or created data and you ritually offload and archive this data for safekeeping, not only to safeguard the data in case your macbook has a HD crash, or gets stolen, but importantly in keeping the ‘breathing room’ open for your computer to operate, expand, create files, add applications, for your APPS to create temp files, and for general operation.

You have to provide your computer's administrator password in order to install Flash Player.

  • Install Adobe Flash Player on MacBook Air

I am trying to install Adobe Flash Player on MacBook Air and it stops at 98% stating that it needs to to close Safari browser, I close it and still it does not fully install it.

You need to close the Safari process, not only the browser window.
If you don't know how to do that, restart your Mac, then run the downloaded installer before doing anything else.

how to download 'Flash Player' on MacBook Air?

    Try this alternative:
    http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/distribution3.html
It includes the actual installer (so it's a lot larger) whereas the other installer downloads the install data once it starts running, which may be where your problem lies.

  • Is the "flash" storage in Macbook Pros and Airs upgradable?

I just watched an OWC video on upgrading SSD on mid 2012 Macbook Pro, is that what they consider "Flash" storage? They only say SSD, so I'm just wondering if I buy 128GB Macbook or Air can I increase it later or is it "built in" and not upgradable?

SSD = flash memory storage. There are no Apple-supported upgrades for the internal SSD/flash storage in the MacBooks, partly because Apple uses a special connector. OWC has created replacement MacBook SSD/flash drives of their own initiative, and they do work. But they are only available for some models.
Due to the special Apple design of the flash storage you will not find many options for upgrading. So far only OWC has gone to the trouble of trying to match the Apple specs.
It is still best to order a MacBook with the amount of storage you need, if available. If you do need an upgrade later, whether you will be able to will depend on whether OWC offers one for the model you have, and there is no guarantee of that. And any such upgrade will not be supported by Apple. But OWC is a good company and I have bought many products from them.
