Increase of number of characters

Hi all,
We have a requirement to increase the number of digits in
pricing , for example right now we can enter nine characters. How to make that to 10 digits or 11 digits.

Hi Sudha,
Do you want to say that you want have number range size from 9 to 10 to Sales Document / Delivery / Billing Document. If yes, then create one new Number Range (Transaction Code - VN01) with size limit to 10 for example 0000000001 to 2999999999 and assign this number range to you Sales Document type.
Please note in Standerd System it will allow till 10 Charecter.

We can't restrict the number of characters a UI element can take. Rows and columns properties are to specify the visible no of rows and columns.
If u want a restriction in the number of characters you have to create a simple type and set it to a context attribute and then map it to the text view.

Increasing the number of Characters in a Characteristic

We are trying to increase the number of characters in a characteristic (CT04) from 30 characters to about 50 characters. Is there a SAP OSS note that we can implement in ECC6 to enable us to make this work for us ?

Now i get your requirement.
I have seen similar arrangements being used at a project for maintaining document location in characteristics.
But they don't maintain complete path in the characteristics. They have maintained certain codes for repetitive paths.
Say you want to select path X:\Intranet\Common Folders\Documents\Store1\ , the code would be Doc_Store1. And Doc_Store1 can be stored in characteristics Values.
Another way i can think of is mainatianing 2 Characteristics. In this way you may select the path upto defined length(less than 30 chars) in 1st Characteristic(Main Path)(X:\Intranet\Common Folders\),
and remaining path in 2nd Characteristic(Sub Path)(Documents\Store1\).
And the module is Cross Application module so modifying the std field is not recommended. We had to find out work around solutions in our case and at some places inform client about its limitations.

How do I increase the number of characters in directory for Album Title?

Pretty straightforward problem: the directory name for the Album Title gets cropped to 40 characters when iTunes manages the library.
For most albums, it isn't an issue, but if I rip two different CD's of the same album and the title is longer than 40 characters, the files get mixed in the same directory unless I resort to a drastic (and undesired) shortening of the title.
examples: wanting to keep different editions of:
"The Rise and Fall Of Ziggy Stardust and The Spiders From Mars (1990 RykoDisc)"
"The Rise and Fall Of Ziggy Stardust and The Spiders From Mars (1999 EMI)"
in my library will cause this problem, and the recent release of "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band" in both Mono and Stereo versions will force this issue on my library once again.
I shouldn't have to butcher the name of the album in iTunes just to make sure the files don't get confused. How do I increase this limit?

How do I increase the number of characters in the Contact Email?

When adding a contact email to a folder I am limited to only 30 characters! This is most frustrating because once you have added the email address of the company this only allows you to have a name of less than 15 characters long!!!!
How I can change the default email from 30 to 50 characters long please?

How do I increase the number of characters in the course title/certificate wizard

Using Captivate 4.
My manager, who will never say anything in three words that can be said with seventeen, wants a very long
title printed in a certificate. I'm using the certificate wizard and the title is being taken from the Project name recorded in the Preferences/Project/Info box. I can get everything in the box, but it does not print on the certificate. Can I expand what is printed on the certificate?
BTW: I do not have access to FLASH, and it is pretty much a mystery to me.

Increasing the number of interval timers?

I have found the interval timer in my 5310 very useful. The only disadvantage is that the maximum number of timers is six (too small a number for me . Is there a way to bypass this, i.e. can I increase the number of timers I can save on my phone somehow?

The filed length for CHARG in standard SAP is only 10 Characters. If you need changes then you need to make changes to Domain CHARG, i would not recommend this.
I would suggest you to create an OSS message and see their feedback,

Ctx_doc.snippet increase the number of occurrences returned

Hi everybody,
I am pretty new on Oracle Text so please be merciful :)
I am on Oracle 10.2.0.4.0 and I need to provide my users with ALL snippets found in a text, but it seems that CTX_DOC.SNIPPET restricts the number of snippets occurrences (I will exemplify it later).
The question is: is there a way to increase the number of results/snippets returned by CTX_DOC.SNIPPET ?
In the example that follows, I create the table "mysearch" and an index of type CTXSYS.CONTEXT, then I run the final SELECT query with CTX_DOC.SNIPPET() to obtain a list of most relevant fragments.
If you run the query - see the column "SNIPPET" - record #6 is returning only the first 4 occurrences. In this case (especially because is a single row) I would expect to find all 6 occurrences instead of 4.
Again, if looking to record #7 I have only 3 occurrences.
Then for record #8 I have only 2 occurrences.
I know that CTX_DOC.SNIPPET retrieves the "most" relevant fragment, but I would like to obtain the full list of fragments present in the indexed text. Is there a way (or an alternate method) to accomplish what I like to do.
I have also noted that CTX_DOC.MARKUP can be used on the same index to retrieve the full text "marked-up" with my query terms, so I know Oracle has indexed the text somewhere, I need only to get it out !
Any help will be very appreciated.

Increase the number of portions in process for each conversion object

I experts,
I configured SAP TDMS 3.0 with SP 14 to transfer test data from QAS to DEV (both is ECC 6.0) for the first test with TDMS TIM (Time Based Reduction).
The data transfer phase is still running (99% - 60hs running). We analyzed the Display Runtime Information report and see that objects of conversion with similar calc. records and calc. GBytes have very different the Net Runtime.
TMDS currently is working with four objects of conversion, processing a portion of each.
Conversion objects that are running are:
- Z_LTBP_002
- Z_TSEGE_002
- Z_VEVW_002
- Z_YST27_002
We check in the receiver system, and we see that is use only one DIA process to update the each table.
How can increase the performance of the update? Is correct that use only 1 DIA process for this??
Can I increase the number of portions in process for each conversion object?
Any help is greatly appreciated.

How to restrict number of characters for an input field

Hi All,
I have an input field.
The max number of characters for this input field is 10.
when a user enter more then 10 characters. it should prompt for an error or the input field should not allow to accpet the 11 character.
how we do this in VC.

You could achieve this by configuring error messages under the formula:-
Select the control properties and in the Input field at the Display tab write the formula
"IF((@<LEN(text)>10),'appropriate message','Records available')"
Note :- there is a LEN(text) under text functions in formula tab.

Is there a way to set a limit on the number of characters each cell will hold in numbers?

Hi there, I'm creating a CSV file via Numbers and would like to set a limit to the number of characters a cell will hold in numbers. This way, when I copy text from my source, and paste it into the numbers cell, the text will be cut off at the character limit I've placed for that cell.
Specifically, I would like my character limit per cell in a column on a new spreadsheet to be 100 characters. I have text to copy & paste into roughly 10 different cells and I'd like it to all be 100 characters.
I am using Numbers version 9 of iWork and 10.7.5 OS.
Any help is appreciated.

I don't quite understand what your suggestion was and before I try to figure it out and play around with numbers, I thought I should clarify further. When i wrote I want to paste the content into the cell and have it limited to 100 characters I was mis-spoken. I actually have all the content already in the columns in a spreadsheet and would now like to just limit some of the columns to hold only 100 characters in a cell so that when its a CSV file it will be accepted to the program I'm trying to upload it to.
SO does that change the way you can answer my question?

If you are taking about an interface on a website, this is up to the ui designer. But there is a reflow that depends on screensize for the Firefox UI.
You can use asp to control the list:
