Increase screen size from 800x600 to 1024x768

Our Director program uses 800x600 resolution screen on all our files. The program was designed for 800x600. All Dir files are that size. These days a lot of laptops are using much larger screens.  Is it possible to create a projector or some function that allows the entire programs to be enlarged (maximized) or magnified to for example, 1024x768 ?
When the user chooses the enlarge the screen size  or magnify the size that function should be clicked  and all DIR files in the program should appear in 1024x768 size. If the user wishes to go back to the original size (800x600) they click the button  to use the program in the original size?
Can this be done?  Does it need to be done using a projector ? or can we embed this function in one of the opening Dxr files (the DXR file that the EXE throws you after they open the projector (exe)
Thanks
Adam

I would guess that the HDMI port on your mac is for output only - no input, and that's what your'e attempting to do when you attach the mac to your xbox. I looked in Mactracker and it lists the HDMI port as video output for both the 13" Retina MacBook Pro and the 15" Retina MacBook Pro (your post didn't say which one you have), so looks like that is the issue..

  • Type on a path that gradually increases in size from left to right

I need to create type on a path where the characters gradually increase in size from left to right. I know that I can manually change the size of each character, but does anyone know of an easier way to do this -- possibly with a script?

This previous discussion might prove useful:

The link to the script mentioned in the above thread is broken, but this one should work:

  • X220 screen size from a programmer's perspective

    Hi all,
I was just wondering, how good/ bad is the X220's 12.5" screen size from a programming perspective? Is the small size + IPS worth it?
My problem is that I want to try it out before buying it. Does anybody know a store in the GTA (Greater Toronto Area) where I can go and see a X220 in real-life? Thanks!

I'm a software engineer and do a lot of programming on my X220. The screen is acceptable for programming but not ideal. The 12.5" size isn't a problem -- the issue is the low 1366 x 768 resolution. You can't display many lines of code in a height of only 768 pixels, and with an IDE such as Visual Studio it's awkward dealing with multiple windows and panels in a low resolution screen. However, the X220 works well for programming if you attach an external monitor.
If you can't find an X220, just try any laptop with 1366 x 768 resolution (there are many). It is the screen resolution, not the physical screen size that is the real issue you'll have to deal with.

  • Determining My screen size from preferences

Hi I am trying to determine what kind of screen size I have on my macbook pro from within the "about this computer" option in preferences.
I know it sounds dumb and could just measure with a ruler ( which I did ) but it came up as 14 inches and there is no macbook pro that's 14 inches it's either 15 or 13 inches
How can I determine my screensize from a preference option ?
    thank you
    Here's the macbook I have
Macbook pro laptop 2.4 HGz Intel Core 2 Duo running Mac Os 10.5.8
    Thanks

The ruler works, but you have do measure the diagonal, not the edge. If you do the diagonal from the inside corners of the bezel (frame), you get pretty close to the correct size.
My 15.4" MacBook Pro measures 14" to the outside edges of the display so, if that's how you're measuring, you also have the 15" version.

  • CS2 Indesign increases pdf size from CS3 Indesign pdf

    Hi
I am using CS2 Indesign Version 4. When I import a CS3 Version 5.0.2 pdf and then export the file to a pdf, it increases the file from 5 mgs to 30 mgs.
    I am using a G5 Mac with 10.4.11.
Does anyone know how to keep the file size down. I am told it is a CS3 thing.

No, the problem is with PDF export from InDesign 4.0.x in which there is tremendous file bloat, sometimes up to 30% or more in certain cases. This bug has been fixed in InDesign 5. Upgrade and the problem goes away!

  • Increasing Screen Size

    Hi,
I have added few fields in "ADDITIONAL DATA B" of VA01. I'm getting the screen but with scroll bar. I want all the fields without any scroll bar.  For this i was trying to increase the size of 4002 sub-screen area and added fields in 8309 sub-screen. Can someone lemme know how to achieve the fields in single screen without any scroll bar.
    Regards

    Resolved by myself....
Solution is in program SAPMV45A there is screen 4312 which is responsible for call sub screen 8309. So i have increased the container length of 4312 screen by which scroll bar is gone.

  • Increasing canvas size from all sides

    Hello to all,
i wants to increase my fla canvas size from all sides... when
we increase the size of a file it increases from right and bottom ,
i want to make it from all four sides like photoshop ... is there
    any way to do this.
    Thanks in advance

There is a way to do this; unfortunately, it's not an
    automatic feature
like in Photoshop. The approach you'll need to take is to
    update the
document dimensions (basically, the canvas size) as desired,
    then use the
Edit Multiple Frames button on the lower left of the Timeline
    panel to
manually move all assets on the main timeline. To do this,
    you'll have to
make sure all layers are unlocked. To do this quickly, click
    the
Lock/Unlock All Layers button at the top, between the eye and
    the square
buttons, until you see that all locks have been removed (one
    or two clicks
will do it). In the Modify Onion Markers button next to the
    Edit Multiple
Frames button, choose Onion All. Select Edit > Select All,
    then use the
arrow buttons to move your assets.

  • What happened to the zoom bar that lets me increase the size from, say, 100% to 125%? I just installed Firefox, and I no longer find that feature.

A week or so ago I thoughtlessly installed Explorer 10 (Chrome 10?) and immediately began having problems with my google email page and one program I use through email. I got a message that I could not download Explorer 9 to reinstall it, because there "is a newer version on the machine." And I can't find a way to uninstall a browser.
So, I downloaded Firefox and set it as my default browser.
The problem with the email page cleared up instantly; the problem with the program that goes through email got worse (and it still runs fine on a second machine in my house.)
AND---I can't find the zoom button to let me increase the appearance from, say, 100% to 125%, which I very much like to do.

I believe you just reverse pinch screen

  • Any way to increase screen size?

Hello - is there any way to increase the size of my webpage display? I know I can reset the font size, but is there any way to actually increase the size (other than just hitting the green button in the upper lefthand corner)?

  • Change webpage from 800x600 to 1024x768

I've noticed recently more websites created for the 1024x768
resolution. Would it be wise to use this size as a standard now. I
know many people still use 800x600, but notice a lot of the newer
desktop computers sold today use 1024x768. I'd figure that I would
ask the experts in this forum on their advice. Thanks for your
    time.

It depends on your audience. Run some analytics on your site
and see what comes up. If you need a tool to run, Google Analytics
is fairly good and free. I would say if you are getting 75% or more
with a resolution of 1024x768 and you have not switched, it is
time. And when you run the analytics you will be surprised at how
varied this type of thing gets because with LCD it tends to depend
on the monitor capabilities and many monitors are changing to the
    widescreen 16:9 or 16:10 format.
To compare, my site gets about 70% of its hits from
widescreen resolutions (be it 16:9 or 16:10). And 800x600 comes up
2.84% of the time. But then this site is dedicated to gaming and
typical gamers have higher end video adapters and displays so this
    is reflective of the audience.

  • How do I increase screen size for a game....lower part of game is hidden by bottom icons. NOTHING WORKS

I use Dell laptop, 15" screen, windows vista, firefox. Game loaded, can play, BUT no menu and bottom of game not visable. The right click on game and on game icon at bottom does nothing. Have to end task to quit.

Thanks MartinR, yes the Toggle bars can be adjusted so that I can see all the tracks - just in the smallest setting - however this also creates a huge area of grey which serves no other purpose than to "use up screen space". If this is deliberate then there is nothing one can do - since presumably the additional profit made on screen sales is more important to Apple, than the combined annoyance to those working on a 13" laptop. Of course a 15" screen or even 17" screen may make this wastage less obvious. Please indicate that this is all incorrect and explain why it is important to have space waiting "for additional tracks", even if I have no intention of making additional tracks. If that is the answer then perhaps additional space to the left and right of the timeline would be useful in case I wish to make a 30 minute film, so that it could be placed there without having to drag anything. It may be that I am expecting software than can be tailor adjusted, each parameter to the desired level as in professional items and since this is a cheap consumer program it is not possible.
I bought Final Cut Pro for a lot of money (when it first appeared it was thousands and not just hundreds) but never used it since it was too complicated and tedious, but maybe there, this problem of screen wastage does not occurr, perhaps someone can advise! I could go back and reinstall it, but it was made for 10.2.8 and not 10.6.8 so it would not run on this macbook. I recently bought an old 15" TitaniumPowerbook (from 2005) and despite running at 1MHz the response time on it is "instantaneous" - amazing to not have the almost half second delay on many commands - graphics appear nearly immediately (just 5 milliseconds delay) and this makes working so much more enjoyable, not having the (350ms) stutter of 10.6.8 which we all get used to after our initial disappointment.
    Thanks for your help!
