Increase speed dial numbers

I had maximum 9 speed dial numbers. I increased it to 13. but still cannot use more than 9.If I press on 1, for speed dial, and after 9, say 10, the phone does not allow me to dial more than 9. What to do to change that?

Who can answer my question? Or is the maximum 9 speeddial numbers?

I can even deal with the fact that it erased my original speed dial settings. What I cannot deal with is the fact that BY LAW i must use a hands free device wihle driving but since the GB  update I can no longer Dial my 9 speed dial numbers by Bluetooth. Trying to push the number and hold it for a few secs not only breaks the law and jepordizes my kids in the car . Here how it works ( or supposed to work. I push the button on my head set. It says " Say A Command ". I say Call speed dial 3. It repeats it back to me. I say Yes. It NOW dials the last number dialed. I never had this problem before the update.

Food for thought:  There is actually information released by the NTSB that even using "hands free" devices while driving have been proven to  distract drivers.
As for the Bluetooth commands: I've never used "speed dial" I usually say "Call Nicole Mobile" and it will connect still with no problems.
I just tried to use the voice command "call speed dial 1" and it did not recognize it.  It appears you must use the name now.

  • Losing speed dial numbers

Is there any way to preserve speed dial numbers on a cell phone (Motorola e815) when using Bluetooth? It is a pain to have to redo this every time I sync (using iSync) the address book from my computer to my phone.
    iMac G5   Mac OS X (10.4.5)

The problem is that Motorola phones don't know how to sync. iSync does it best (I hope) to provide "sync'ing" experience with those phones.
One consequence is whenever iSync has to change one contact on the phone, it has to delete the contact and add a new one (likely to change the speed dial) and since the protocol used to access the contacts does not expose all "information" (especially the advanced ones), you are likely to lose them when changed on the Mac.

  • Speed dials for Intercom numbers?

Does anyone know how to set up speed dials for intercom numbers (CUCM 6.0)?

Number of speed dials varies by IP phone model. User-configured speed dial and call forward through Web access
Users can configure their own speed dial numbers and call forwarding targets on a person web page.

  • Freetalk-1200 Connect.Me speed dial problem

Just received my long awaited Connect.Me and it's been working just as I expected. The only problem I encountered was that I couldn't assing speed dial numbers to 2 of my contacts. Others work perfectly, when I click them, box of information appears to the middle of the screen, but when I click one of the two with the problem, nothing happens.
I have tried everything like resetting from the button and from the web UI, deleting and adding them again to my contacts but nothing helps. Adding new contacts works fine. I would not rather create a new Skype account for my self - nor ask these two friends to make a new account for themselves - just because of this problem. Any kind of advice is welcome
    Cheers from Finland!

Skype hasn't supported speed dials in it's software for some time.  It's considered a legacy feature. The use of speed dials is configured through the Freetalk Connect Me web interface, not the Skype client.  You need to sign into your Connect Me device via your web browser and click on "Contacts and Speed Dials".  Once there all your contacts will be listed on the left pane.  Select any one of those contacts and click "ADD TO SPEED DIAL".  It will assign a speed dial number incrementally on the right pane.  You can change that number to a number of your choosing (0-99) at any time.  That's all it takes to set up.  If you recently add a contact it my not show on that list.  If it doesn't sign off the client in which you added the contact or contact changes, then power cycle the Connect Me box and log back in.  It should update.  If it does not, the only other alternative is to do a factory reset on the unit so that it will purge the list and updated it with the latest copy.  Below I attached an image of the screen, though it may take some time until it gets approved and displayed to the general public.

  • System-wide Speed Dials

Is there a way to set up speed dials system-wide in UCM 5.1? We have about 25 remote locations and we want anybody in the company to be able to use speed dials (or something similar) to dial their main number. We don't want to add them to Active Directory because there are other apps pulling from there.

Depending on configuration, your phone can support several speed-dial features:
    Speed-dial Numbers
    Abbreviated Dialing
    Fast Dials

  • Re: skype to go speed dial contacts

Hi, this does not appear to affect my Speed Dial list so how to change it? Please provide more detailed intrsuctions. Currently the first 9 contacts in my Skype to Go numbers constitute my Speed Dials. If I could re-organise my Skype to Go list, I suspect it would change the Speed Dials. There appears to be no way to do this???

When you change your direct dial numbers, your speed dial numbers will automatically adjust accordingly. To see your speed dials, click on "View old number" in the bottom right of the Skype To Go account overview page.

  • Speed dials on N96

Hi Speed dials not working on my n96, tried all usual things, anybody else got this problem or ideas how to fix?

    What do you mean?
    It works for me.
Speed Dial is located under Tools -> Utilities -> Speed Dial
Assign the speed dial numbers to the keymat
Then while in the Active Idle, press and hold the number key that you assigned to Speed Dial.

  • Skype to go speed dial order.

How do I change the order of my speed dial numbers?  Also, when I call Skype to go and go to speed dial it does not give me a speed dial  for number 2 and numbers 10 through 15 on my speed dial list.  How do I get these added?  Thank-you.

    Hello,
Speed dials are only created for contacts 1-9 so you would have to change the order of the contacts within 1-9 to change the speed dial positions
We're not sure why you aren't getting a speed dial for contact 2.
Try changing the order as above to see if that helps. Thanks.

    Hi HPUserGeorgia
You can setup up numbers or letters for each fax.
Touch the fax icon, book icon, sort, select desired one. (01-75, a-z)
Then go to the home screen.
Touch the fax icon, # sign then desired number to fax to. (example 05)
You can print out a list of the all the fax numbers in the menu.
Here is a document for faxing with the Officejet Pro 8600 Plus.

  • Speed dial tones

It appears that the AT&T 8820 has a software "feature" that the 8800 did not have.  When speed dialing (like holding 1 for voicemail), the quickly dialed tones play out loud out of the speakers.  I do not want this.  RIM told me that it is by design.  None of my 8800s do this, but all the 8820s I had on hand did it.  When a user is in a meeting and wants to check voicemail, the last thing he/she needs is to have the speed dialed numbers played over the speaker of the BlackBerry.
RIM had no answers. Is there a way to suggest product enhancements to them that they might take seriously?
    Thanks

It sounds like they had a pretty firm answer for you, actually.
What OS on the 8820 are you running? On OS 4.5, you can set the BB to Quiet or Vibrate profile, and those speed dialing DTMF tones are silenced.
    Good luck.

  • Dialing by speed dialing

Is  there a way I can speed dialing, by assigning an 1 digit to a phone number, and I do not mean to Favorites.
I would like to find a way to assign one digit for speed dialing I need. Is there a way on the iPhone, or we are continueing to be close by the wall of Jobes.
    TIA

WE are NOT Apple. This is a user to user forum.  You've been told. You can't do that. You will need to use favorites for speed dialing. I'm so sorry you'll be so terribly inconvenienced by having to tap a name instead of a single digit to call someone, but that's the way it is. With a touch screen phone, speed dial numbers make very little sense.

  • No Speed Dial after Jelly Bean update

I am using a Razr Maxx. I had several speed dial numbers set up and working before the update.  Now they do not work and I cannot add them from the menu or by holding down the number I want to assign.  What is going on?  How do I fix it?

Speed dial was one of the features removed in Jelly Bean; alternatives are Direct Dial and Favorite Contacts widgets.

  • Directory for Speed Dial entries

Entered 20 speed dial numbers.  Where do I find the directory for those entered.
With 100 possibilities surely there must be a way.

I have not heard of a way to view the list. I poured over different support documents and found nothing addressing that either. Just how to create entries and how to dial using it. This is a great suggestion though! This would be a perfect candidate for the Verizon Idea Exchange. Please search on the idea exchange and cast your vote.
