Increase storage for iPad 2

I bought an iPad 2 about a year and a half ago.  At the time I thought I would just be using it for school and a bit of personal use so I only bought the 16GB.  Since then I have found I use it for work on a daily basis and I am constantly having to remove apps and then reinstall them to have enough space.  I know that you can exchange an iPad 3 for an iPad 4.  Is it possible to exchange an iPad 2 for another one of larger storage size?

There are some wireless external hard drives that can be used with the iPad.

Or wait 90++ % all drive.
    Thank for all comment.

    Hi Witoon,
What you need to do for monitoring space for oracle Database is to proactively monitor tablespaces of the databases.
This can be easily done with the help of BRtools . It is safe to keep the used tablespace < 85 % to avoid any kind of tablespace issues. If any major loading process is to started then the free space of the table space should be adjusted accordingly.
Out of several tablespaces present in the Oracle DB few are made by Oracle for example
    SYSTEM
    PSAPUNDO
    SYSAUX
    PSAPTEMP
    TOOLS
Leaving the above mentioned tablespaces you need to monitor the tablespaces whose sizes are changing.
When you increase the size of the tablespace then more space is allocated on the disk in the form of datafile for that tablespace so before increasing the size of the tablespace you need to check the free space on the disk
Use     df -h (Linux command) for checkin the diskspace on linux server.
    Thanks
    Aditya

How to Remove “Other” Data from iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch
    http://www.igeeksblog.com/how-to-remove-other-data-from-iphone/
With an iOS device, the “Other” space in iTunes is used to store things like documents, settings, caches, and a few other important items. If you sync lots of documents to apps like GoodReader, DropCopy, or anything else that reads external files, your storage use can skyrocket. With iOS 5/6/7, you can see exactly which applications are taking up the most space. Just head to Settings > General > Usage, and tap the button labeled Show All Apps. The storage section will show you the app and how much storage space it is taking up. Tap on the app name to get a description of the additional storage space being used by the app’s documents and data. You can remove the storage-hogging application and all of its data directly from this screen, or manually remove the data by opening the app. Some applications, especially those designed by Apple, will allow you to remove stored data by swiping from left to right on the item to reveal a Delete button.

  • External Storage for iPad

I just received this in a marketing email from Seagate. I haven't seen it first hand so don't consider this an endorsement of recommendation, but for those seeking external storage to accompany your iPad, it might be worth a look:

  • Can i buy more storage for iPad??

Can i get or buy more GB for my iPad?? I travel alot and like to buy movies but i only have 5 GB left :(

Are you talking about iCloud storage or storage on your iPad?  Your iTunes purchases DO NOT count towards your iCloud storage, and 5GB comes with your iCloud account for free.

  • Increasing storage for time capsule

What is the best solution to increase the storage available for my 2Tb time capsule to about 4Tb
-do I need to buy a 2nd time capsule or can i just add another storage drive, which would be cheaper?
    Thanks.

Time Capsule 100% easily accepts larger capacity HDDs, yes.
There's a perfect articale about it with photos http://blog.helpmymac.ru/?p=725 but it is in Russain.
    BUT!!!
    1) You must always take in consideration heat dissipation of the new drive. <ake sure newly-installed drie heat dissipation doesn't exceed the one of the factory installed drives.
    2) The artice authors checked only WD HDD model of one step larger capacity. This model was being installed in that time to a more expensive versions of time capsule. They don't guarantee time capsule will accept HDDs other that WD theexacltly matching series or Seagate. But it is most likely it will be OK.
    3) Take in consideration that 3GB+ capacities are not guaranteed to be OK, too/
So, in conclusion, if you replace the HDD inside TC with the same model with larger capacity most likely it will work OK!

  • External data storage for iPad

I am a student and just purcased an iPad (due to arrive any day now eek!) to be able to order my textbooks in e-book format.
The issue I am running into is non wifi data back up.  I don't want to keep the books on the actual iPad as the files are huge, but to keep them on iCloud or something similar on line limits my access when my WiFi at work goes down.  I did not have the money for a larger memory and cannot afford the 3G due to being college poor.  So, while the ability to store my textbooks on iCloud is a great start, what if I'm working and the wifi goes out? (It does often and I'm constantly breaking into our server room to reset it for patients who want to use their tablets or e-readers, but it doesn't always work and our IT people are not there overnight which is when I work). I was told the camera connector kit would work to store data on a flash drive or SD card, however, it won't. I was also told about iFlashdrive, but the price is way out of my league and it is merely a flash drive anyway.  I can't justify that cost.  Is there a cost effective way to store my textbook files for when I can't access the internet, at all?  This just does not seem very user friendly to me at the moment.

Keep your eyes open for a device called the "ZoomIt" or "ZoomIt Reader".  It looks and acts similar to the Apple Camera Connection Kit, except that it allows you to access much more of the content on the SD/SDHC cards.  I bought one to use it for loading data files onto the micro-SDHC card for my GPSr and it works great using my iPhone 4.  I have places pictures, videos and PDF files on my SDHC cards and accessed them from my iPhone, so it might be able to get you closer to what you want.  The only problem I've seen lately is that these devices seem to be a premium to come by.  I paid about $39 for mine when I bought it new on Amazon, but the last time I looked, every retailer with them in stock was asking closer to $100 for them.
If your app offers "open with" and "export" funcitonality, you can probably use this device to copy content onto or off from your iPad.  I can't imagine trying to get by without mine now that I've had it so long...

  • When u buy storage for iPad in iCloud and can't download anything after it

HHave iPad 2 16g bought 15g storage threw iCloud but can't download movies

You can't buy additional iPad storage without buying a higher capacity iPad; iCloud storage is separate from that on the devices itself. You need to delete content from the iPad until it has enough free space to store the movies.

  • Can you get external storage for iPad?

Is it possibly to purchase an external storage device that can be connected to iPad through the lightening plug?

While the iPad can read from a few USB sticks to import photos and videos, it cannot write out to it, or even access anything other than the photos and videos.
You cannot play directly from it, and they must be in a very specific format.
There are wireless alternatives which allow you to store movies and photos and other files in an external drive that can be accessed wirelesssly using a proprietary App. You can then play the videos and look at the photos directly on the App.

  • Storage on Mac for iPad update

What is th easiest way to handle this, without buying more storage?

You DO NOT buy storage for iPad.
iPads have their own internal storage sizes that limit how much data you can put on them.
The only way to gain data storage space on any iDevice is to delete data off of the device to make room for new data.
If you want to make more space on your iPad, if you have a computer with iTunes on it, connect up your iPad to your computer and backup all of the data on your iDevice.
Once you have a backup of all of your data stored on your iPad, you can go back to your iPad and start deleting data off of your iPad.
Start by deleting photos, movies, music, books and magazines and any data that is stored within an app.
If you have apps on your iDevice that you no longer use, you can delete these off of your iPad to get even more free space on your iPad.
    Good Luck!

  • On iPad 2 can files be compressed on HD to increase storage capacity?

I bought my daughter an iPad 2 3rd generation.  I know the HD capacity is 16 Gb and iOS 7.01 takes up about
1 Gb of het capacity, giving her about 15 Gb to use for apps and data storage. I have three questions about that.
Q1.  Can She use a flash drive to download apps and files to the flash drive, then access the flash drive as an
external data storage to view/listen to photos, video and music and; most important; can she download apps
and run them from the drive on the system itself if she does so?
Q2.  Can she compress the files on the HD to increase the storage capacity of the HD, and still have the ability
run the downloaded apps, view videos, etc.  Can she still access the compressed files, if she can do so?
Q3.  iPad 2 has no paper guide or owner's manual, but. Apple has an ipad Guide (140pp) that can be down-
loaded and viewed. Can she download iPad User/Owners "Guide for iPad Using OS 7.01 ondto her iPad and
put an icon for it on her iPad desktop for easy reference?
    Thank you for your help.

Q1. There are compatible flashdrives tha allwo you to do this through their own Apps such as the Sandisk Wireless Flash Drive among others.   http://www.sandisk.com/products/wireless/flash-drive/  It cannot eb done with regular flash drives though.
Q2.  No. No compression is available on the iPad.
Q3. She can bookmark the iPad's manual website and place an icon on the home screen for the url, or download the Book version to iBooks for free.
Just tap on Arrow coming out of a box icionin Safari, and then tap on Place on Home Screen.

  • My friend signed into gmail on my iPad safari browser and it kept asking him if he wanted to increase storage capacity size.

My friend signed into their gmail account on my iPad and asked if he would like to increase storage capacity. He clicked no but then it signed him out.
I know this happened once before but he was still able to sign into gmail. He tried again but it still did the same thing.
Is there a way to get around this?

You need to return it to the seller and get your money back.  You cannot reset or use the device with another AppleID installed unless you know the password for that ID.
If the device has been jailbroken, no one on here can give you any further help...the Terms of Use prohibit us from doing so.

  • I recently purchased icloud storage for my iPad Air.  I want to store photos in the cloud and learn how to retrieve them.  I need help.

I recently  purchased iCloud storage for my iPad Air so that I can store my photos in the cloud.  I don't know how to do this.  I want to be able to retrieve them as well.

    Hello Janet
With that iCloud storage that you purchased, is used for mainly for iCloud Backup for your iPad Air, app data as in games and documents for like iWork and other apps that save data locally within the app. Dealing with photos in your Photo Stream they actually do not count towards that storage plan. If you don’t think that the storage is going to work for you, then cancel the upgrade you just made.

I've been using numbers for iPad and I accidentally deleted a column. And the auto-save feature saved that and now I can't undo it. Does iCloud storage have backups of saved files from like 10 minutes ago? I have numbers synced to iCloud.
I tried to undo it but the app crashed.
I am hoping there's like a previously saved version of my file in iCloud somewhere.

No, iOS does not do short term incremental back ups to iCloud such as you get with Time Capsule. It backs up when you do soo manually, or if set properly, when the device is plugged in and connected to WiFi. It will not have saved your changes as of 10 minutes prior.
