Hey everyone,
So as my title says, i'm trying to increase the memory for my weblogic server in my windows 7 64 bit machine, with 8GB ram.
The values appear to be: JAVA Memory arguments: -Xms256m -Xmx512m -XX:PermSize=128m -XX:MaxPermSize=512m
I've done some search from this forum and i've added this to my jdev.conf:
AddVMOption -XX:MaxPermSize=1536M (in this one i've only changed the value)
AddVMOption -Xmx1536M
AddVMOption -Xms1536M
And i've changed this: MEM_ARGS="-Xms1024m -Xmx1024m" in my startNodeManager.sh file
I'm still getting the same line in my server but i need to change the values since i'm not getting the server to run my application very well (it gets stucked in loading my databases and graphs) and i think it will continue untill i get a heap exception error.
Any ideas of how to change this?

I'm going to ask you another question and this one is quite important.
Whenever i run my project a couple of times, i'm not able to retrieve the page, it just gets stuck on loading.
It just stops the loading, like its a really really slow page. I'm not using a lot of rows in my database so i don't take to much memory but it doesn't load and i know everything is fine but i just added some graphs after testing it.
Do you know why?
In the console it says that everything is fine and shows the link for the page but it never loads completely until it gives a error because it does not respond in 600 seconds.
Strange right?

How to Increase the memory size of a File in the Application Server

I have generated a XML file for the data of internal table (with 10 Records). When i download , i can see the XML file for the Entire 10 Records.
But , while transferring the XML file to Applicationserver , it's transferring only upto max 4 Records.I     assume that the memory is insufficient to allocate 10 Records. Can we Increase the Memory size of the File on Application server. OR, is there any error in My Source Code.
Code i used to Transfer the XML File to Application server.
OPEN DATASET FNAME FOR OUTPUT IN BINARY MODE.

it_mara --> contain 10 records

the XML format is not generated.

My Server Ram size is 12 GB.

I want to increase my memory for oracle because i need to insert 31 billion rows into a table with nologging. I am inserting them chunk by chunk and commit after each chunk. But it is taking 62 hours to insert the rows. So i think if i increase the memory i could reduce the time to insert the rows.
I really am not sure whether i am thinking in the right way. Please advise. If i want to increase the memory please let me know how to increase it.

Well, technically no, CPU will remain the same speed. But having 8 gig will give you some room for memory hungry apps and run better with multiple apps.
Adding a SSD drive will give a second life to your macmini. I did mine a few weeks ago (240 gb SSD ) and also went from 2 to 4 gig ram. It's like having a new computer!

You don't. OS X has dynamic memory allocation, so whenever an app needs more memory, OS X gives it some.

As Ankur said, there are not parameters for this setting.
Probably what you can do is, you can add this server to a defined server group.
Generally you can assign additional resources to a server group. That could probably help you to increase performance.

If i can't increase the memory on an iphone, how do i NOT upload my entire itunes library?

i'm new to this whole smartphone thing. but i've run into this frustration and can't seem to find my way around it.
every time i hook up my phone - iphone 4 - to my computer - macbook 10.7 - they try to sync, and now i don't like having them both on the same wifi because they 'update' behind my back. i don't want 3 days worth of music on my phone. i would rather have more room on the phone for other stuff - apps and whatnot.
i've set every checkbox i can find to NOT sync, and to NOT update, but they do it anyway. the songs that haven't been copied in their entirety have left a place-saver of sorts - a ghost that seems to interfere with playback of songs in a modified album, or if i just try to play from the library - which i do, sometimes.
someone on another post said that since you can't upgrade the memory on an iphone, that they should just delete some music, but it doesn't seem to let me - it puts it there without my permission, and even now that i've deleted all the music from the phone, the library is still full of all these 'ghost' songs that i don't know how to be rid of.

On Mac:
     Do you have the latest iTunes 11.0.4? If not download it here http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/
     Switch on iTunes menu > View > Show Sidebar
     Connect and select iPhone under DEVICES in iTunes Sidebar.
     Go through the tabs (top right pane) Summary, Info, Apps, etc.
     and select and de-select what you want on iPhone.
     When finished, click Apply button (bottom right) and then click Sync.

Actually, the storage (SSD, like a hard drive) is replaceable, though doing so voids your warranty. Check here, but make sure you find the exact model Mac you have.

In Windows, when i go to Task Manager > Processes > I can right click on any of them, and i can increase the Memory that is allocated from Normal > Above Normal > High > Very High > Real Time. So i am trying to work and do the same on Mac too. Because there is an application (Terminal), which i want to be executed at a higher rate.
Yes i did try Renice as you mentioned. But there was "no immediate significant change". Then i also used a GUI version for renice, called "Process Wizard". Which also did the same.

Increase of the memory...

i'm developping a java application which open report into a report viewer. My problem is, every loading of report increase the memory usage of the application which are not decrease when that report viewer is disposed. And the consequence is the application memory can reach easily 100 MB to 200 MB depending on the number of reports who has been opened.

I call the close() method of the ReportClientDocument object during the windowClosing() of the form containing the ReportViewerBean() object.
