Increase the number of lines in a drop down list

Firefox offers up to 20 lines in its drop down lists with a slider to access additional lines. For example, on password entry, to select the n'th character of the password from A-Z and 0-9 requires a drop down list of 36 lines but only 20 are on offer - irritating time-waster. Can the number of lines be extended?

Where is that drop-down list, on a webpage?

It is best to use a compressed image type like PNG or JPG to save the screenshot and make sure that you do not exceed a maximum file size of 1 MB.

Do you mean "Recent Tags" which has an icon a blue-colored folder with a primitive looking magnifying glass over the folder?
That folder does have a limit of 10 results. If you want to create an "All Tags" item on the Boomarks Menu, you can do that by creating your own "smart folder." The process I use is a little involved, so bear with me (also, see the screen shots).
The query used by Recent Tags is:
place:type=6&sort=14'''&maxResults=10'''
So for All Tags we will drop the maximum results limit:
place:type=6&sort=14
''If you prefer your tags in alphabetical order instead of having the most recently used at the top, use this instead:''
place:type=6&sort=1
Go ahead and select the line you want and right-click > copy it.
Next, click the bookmarks drop-down button, expand the Bookmarks Toolbar, right-click any existing item, and choose New Bookmark.
In Location, paste the query, and in name, type All Tags (or your preferred description). When you click Add Bookmark, Firefox will add it, but it doesn't show the blue search folder icon. Drag the bookmark to the menu, and it will turn into a functioning search folder.

When I am entering a single character/number for each of a random selection of three letters in a password verification, I get a drop down list from A to S only, the first 20. Accessing letter T to number 9 means scrolling down. How can I increase the number of lines in a drop down box to 36?

If you are taking about an interface on a website, this is up to the ui designer. But there is a reflow that depends on screensize for the Firefox UI.
You can use asp to control the list:

Actually this requirement is to enhance the standard screen for Tcode :EHSVU21.
So depending on the 1st Column(Test no) value ,i have to change the 3rd Column(Low.norm.result)
property either to DROP Down or not.
So in the PBO only the changes to be made and there is no field in SCREEN internal table for changing the attribute to DROP down. I checked SCREEN internal table where the field VALUE_HELP and REQUEST is useful but not suitable for my case.
Any solution available?

Increasing the number of line items in PO

hello fellow abapers,
i have a query. i dont know if its the headache of the function ppl or the technicial person - which happens to be me - but i have to get this solved at the earliest.
now ive made a PO for materials from the scratch and everythin is workin fine. except that out of the blue comes a PO with over 10000 line items. yes, thats right - 10,000 line items.
so obviously an error was thrown by SAP. unfortunately the end-user did not think it necessary to take a printout or record the error message.
anyways the error said something to the effect that it did not allow so many line items or somthing like that.
now can anybody pls help me out with this. firstly is dhere any restrictions on the number of line items, and secondly, if thats the case how do i find a work-around.

Can I change the order of lines in a drop-down menu?

Can I change the order of items on a drop-down menu? Specifically, the "open" menu that comes up when I right-click on a link.
Putting "open in new tab" on top of "in new window" makes sense, of course, since it is used more often. But I do a lot of surfing, and had the old position in muscle memory. Re-training my brain to click on the first line instead of the second is taking a long time, and makes me grumbly.
I'd love to put it back to the old order. Can I? and, if so, how do I do it? (Please give me detailed instructions, IOW, please assume I am a complete simpleton, because sometimes I am.)
HP G62 w/ Win 7 home premium. If it matters, it's 64-bit.
And my old desktop, which has, yech, Vista. (I haven't upgraded it to F4 yet.)

Is there a way to increase the number of "Open Recent" files that is listed Lightroom 5?

In previous versions this was unlimited. It allowed me a quick way to view catalogs I have worked on even months ago.
There are no options inside Lightroom 5 to adjust this that I can find.
So is there a file I can modify in the Lightroom system folder or in the registry that will remove the limited number or increase the number allowed in the list?

Ok so let the debate begin....
So why have multiple catalog choices at all? When you load a catalog it contains all of the images and the modification data that you have done to each picture with in each module in Lightroom.
Beyond that you have within that catalog a 1000 folders each with a day or name for the shots taken. You still have to rifle through those files and imagines anyway all the while having a years worth of photography packed in to one single catalog. Why?
I am a professional photographer, I shoot daily, and I import my shots each day in a folder dated and named for the shot. I create a new catalog for those folders so that I can open only that catalog and what was done with it at the time.
It is easy for me to pop open that catalog and keep it separate from all my other days of work and back it up individually. I can quickly run back through my archives and find a client for reprints and all of the setting done for that client or project stay with the catalog.
So why pack everything in to one master huge catalog? even if it is just data it can be a lot over time depending on how much work you do. I myself take 100s of shots per day and this is the system I like best to protect mine and my clients work.
But really thanks for your comments I will continue working my way with all of my work spilt in to separate catalogs.
I wont be back on these forums anytime soon because like most of them you can not get an answer to the actual question you ask instead you get berated by some people who have too much time on their hands and not enough work to.

You want to display value based on the key selected in dropdown list. If you want to do like that
1) Create a context attribute for ex: key_value
2)In the properties of the attribute select the calculated as true.
3)It will create getter and setter methods for your attribute.
4)Go to implementation add the following code in getter method of your attribute
String attributeName = IPrivateCreate.IContextElement.KEY;
//KEY is your dropdown key attribute not the value attribute.
IWDAttributeInfo attributeInfo = element.node().getNodeInfo().getAttribute(attributeName);
ISimpleTypeModifiable simpleType = attributeInfo.getModifiableSimpleType();
IModifiableSimpleValueSet valueset = simpleType.getSVServices().getModifiableSimpleValueSet();

Restrict the number of visible values in drop down by key?

Is it possible to restrict the max. number of entries displayed in a drop down by key element? By default i get 10 entries which i would like to limit to 5. Thanks.

Hi,
If you have a set of default values (which come from the domain), you can restrict them to the specific values which you need to display. In the INIT method of the view in which this UI element is present, you will have to write code to delete the entries which you do not wish to show in the drop down by key element.
Have a look at this code snippet:

WRVS4400N - Increasing the number of Wireless Clients in Connection Control List

There's a limit of 20 MAC address that i can add to the Connection Control list on the WRVS4400N.
Is there a way to increase that list?
We're growing quicker than expected and need more than 20 client access now.

Appologies for resurrecting an old thread, but I have this exact question and can't find a definitive answer.
Is there a maximum number of wireless connections for the WRVS4400N?
We're using this for a church and see about 200 people come through on a weekend and the goal is to provide a connection on an open SSID to all of them, while the speed doesn't really matter, but the fact that they can get a connection does. At some point every sunday we see the connection drop, although users can get IP addressess from the DHCP on the router.
I tried the following:
Changed wireless channel from 1 to Auto
Change band from b/g/n b/g
Disabled IPS
increased lease count from 50 to 250
decreased lease time from 1 day to 2 hours
If there's some hard coded maximum, then perhaps this router just isn't the right one for this establishment. Thoughts?

How do I prevent email addresses when part of the addreses is typed in Yahoo or Hotmail - several people use the same computer and a whole drop down list of previously uised adresses come up each time sonmeone logs on

When typing in my email address to log into Yahoo Mail or Hotmail the email addresses of other users who have logged in using this machine appear too. How do you stop this from happening?

Populating the "Collections" drop down list in FEP reports

When an FEP Antimalware report (e.g., the Antimalware Activity Report) opens in Report Manager or the FEP console, I see a drop-down list labeled
Collection: from which I need to make a selection before the report can run. But on our site, this drop-down list is not populated, even though ConfigMgr shows that collections do exist on our site.
The report is running under credentials that should have full access to everything in the relevant databases, so I'm puzzled. Any suggestions?

This old post and there are a lot of improvements in FEP's successor which is System Center Endpoint Protection (SCEP), you may try use SCEP and try reproduce the problem and if problem persist let us know.
Sometimes, it is issue due to SQL database , so check SQL and make sure it is working correctly and is fully updated.

I am having trouble distinguishing between the "Text" and "Value" for a drop down list.
I have a data drop-down list that is being populated by a database at runtime. I am using the "addItem" event while looping though the recordset. The "addItem" event takes 2 parameters:
param1: A valid string representing the value to display in the field.
param2: (Optional) A valid string representing the new items bound value. If empty, the default value is an empty string.
What is the corresponding XFA properties for param1 and param2?
If I want to reference "param2" somewhere else in the form, is it dropDownList.rawValue? is it dropDownList.value?
