The limit imposed by Facebook has been a moving target. It has not been that long since the limit was 200 (it is now 1000). You do not say what version of Aperture and OSX you are using, but if not the latest, it is possible that the change in limit by FB has not been updated, and may not be updated in earlier verions?
I can't say for sure, as I seldom put more than 20 photos in any one album. I don't have any friends that I would expect to plow thru 1000, or even 200.

You need to discard or save to an external disk and then discard some of the stuff we all tend to keep forever (movies, music, pictures, docs, apps no longer used, etc.). A clogged up disk also does not function ideally either.

Do the changes in the spinning icon in your tab mean anything when connecting? It is grey and spinning counterclockwise then it changes to green and spins clockwise.

When connecting to a site the tab has a spinning icon. It is grey and it spins counter-clockwise. Then it changes color to green and spins clockwise. Does this mean anything (possibly transferring data or data done). If so, what triggers the change. This is not a problem I am just interested in this behavior.

Counter clockwise means that Firefox is trying to connect to the server and is waiting for the server to respond to that request.

this is my very own self made instruction of "how to increase your battery health"
it is the procedure how i have done it serverall times on my powerbook g4 12".
my stats: 374 cycles, health 86% (3790 of 4400mAh)
age of my mac: 57month (battery bit newer)
**if you to try this: it is on your own risk!**
**this may not be suitable for mac newbies**
**be sure to read this twice before you do it once!**
you will need:
-a pocket lamp or comparable light (to see anything on your sreen when it is dark --> light from the back through apple logo)
-coconutbattery (coconut-flavour.com/coconutbattery) or comparable programm to track your battery information in realtime
-activity monitor
-cool enviroment (to ensure your fans don't have to work that much)
-some time and patience
the intructions:
step1: load your mac until the orange light turns green
step2: disconnect the power adapter
step3: use your mac until 15-25% battery life (track this information in your menu bar)
step4: slow down your activities. the order of the following actions depend on your usage of your mac:
__close programms that use lots of cpu/gpu to ensure the fans slow down to 0rpm (!!)
__turn off everything that needs battery power: airport / bluetooth / speakers / etc.
__eject dvd or cd
__close all programms with important data
__eject idisk / .dmg files in your finder (this is not only a matter of data security)
__dissonnected from peripherals such as ethernet / internet / mouse / keyboard
__use lower brightness level
__open activity monitor to ensure that your hard drive activity is very low, may be you need to close more active programms, close activity monitor when hard drive activity is very low
__open system preferences >> energy saver preferences >> choose longest battery life
when your are ready with those actions go on and ensure you are able to connect to power adapter with your mac quickly (be able to charge - don't do it yet!)
step5: be patient. now it should take some time until your battery level goes down to 3-5%
now there should be no programm running.
do not open any programm now!
do not have a look at your dashboard!
now your mac should be really quiet:
-no fans (0rpm!)
-nearly no hard drive activity!!
-->> if this not the case break go on with step 11&12, try again in a week or two
-->> if you are ready go on with step6
step6: open coconutbattery und use the lowest brightness level
play with your trackpad to ensure your screensaver won't start. waste time until you are at 1-2% battery life.
step7: take your lamp and spot through the transperent apple logo, position your coconut battery window somehow that you can see the current battery charge und the maxium battery charge in the spot of your lamp through the apple logo.
step8: go from the lowest brightness level to the level under the lowest brightness level (a dark screen)
step9: watch your current battery charge carefully und keep on playing with your trackpad to ensure your screensaver won't start.
step10: there is kind of battery buffer made of approximately 1% (once when my "current battery charge" was 3624mAh and this kind of buffer was at 36mAh)
to empty this kind of battery buffer takes much longer as you might expect!
when your current battery charge turns under this kind of battery buffer, your maximum battery charge should change. hopefully it is higher or stays the same. when it is lower now: i'm sorry - i have warned you. may be you have to go through this 'how to' more carefully!?
step11: plug in your power adapter before the battery is cero!
step12: load until the orange light turns green
step13: if it was helpful do not repeat it more than once a week, better once a month

When using Firefox certain videos play but the image is green and distorted. The image turns into lines and sometimes it half of the screen of the video. Examples are streaming MLB.tv video and some vimeo videos. The odd thing is that it isn’t all Vimeo videos. Is this a flash issue?
The issue does not happen with Internet Explorer which leads me to believe this is an issue with Firefox. I downgraded to 3.5 and the issue still persists.

Thanks for your reply. This video was recorded by my own professional camera, Sony PMW EX 3, two years back. But I am neither a professional cameraman nor an editor. I am just like a beginner in both. Increase your mailbox size - email threat

I have been hit with an email threat - subject starts out as "Increase Your Mailbox Size", there is a link in the email. I am guessing that this initiates when a user clicks on the link, but the link is disabled now.
We’ve had at least a couple users click this, I have filters to prevent this particular subject from coming in. But, when this thing starts up it sends out thousands of emails. The emails go out with 200 recipients per email, the subject changes – I’ve seen these subjects –

Anyone else seen this? I’m still not sure that I won’t have another user that has it. It has been difficult to trace the source, seems to have come back after a computer was wiped and mailbox cleaned. Ironport av isn’t catching it incoming or outgoing.

Although I have not seen this one specifically this sounds like one of the many targeted phishing attacks going around lately. Ideally we would like to catch this before the user ever see's it. If the subject title is always the same you can of course create a simple filter to drop these messages. If possible we would like to get copies so that we can work towards updating the antispam rule sets to block this type of message.
I am including instructons on that process below.
To send a missed spam or message incorrectly marked as "not-spam" email to IronPort Systems for examination, there are a number of ways to submit messages.
Preferred: Use the Outlook plug-in or Lotus plug-in, found on the Cisco IronPort Email Security Page.
For customers using clients other than Microsoft Outlook, go to your email program and follow the instructions to attach the email as an RFC-822 MIME encoded attachment. See article 472.
(NOTE: All submitted messages must be in the RFC 822 format and ONLY that format. Any other formats (such as S/MIME) are currently not compatible with the submission tool.)
Note: Unless submitted through a plug-in (MS Outlook, not MS Outlook Express), messages forwarded must be RFC-822 compliant attachments. Forwards of previously forwarded messages cannot be processed at this time.

Each message is reviewed by a team of human analysts and used to enhance the accuracy and effectiveness of the product.
Once we receive submissions from a customer or from other sources, these messages are passed through automated classification systems that makes use of our latest rule set. If these messages are tagged by the new rule-set as spam, they are classified as such. Due to a delay in receiving samples and generating rules, many of the missed-spam messages usually have rules published between the time they are received by our customers and reported to us.
There are some messages that are part of new spam trends or new variants that are sufficiently different or new spam strains that are not classified by automated systems. Basically, any messages that are held for classification due to some mitigating factors are held for human review. We attempt to get to these messages within 2-3 hours of them being injested into the corpus.
Note: Although every report sent as an RFC-822 attachment to this address will be reviewed, most submissions will not receive an actual physical reply from IronPort.

Increase your iPhone 3G cellular sensitivity

Are you not happy with your iPhone 3G cell radio reception? I have the Casemate "Black Premium Leather Sleeve for iPhone 3G" from the AT&T store and when I slip it on I get at least two more antenna bars. I do not have a stake in Casemate or AT&T -- I'm just a user that loves the phone and very happy with the extra bars using this sleeve.
This has been tried on two different iPhones and two different sleeves. This sleeve has a metal frame that's covered with leather so the cell antenna must gain sensitivity with the extra metal surrounding it. This also protects your iPhone from dings and with a nice anti-glare screen protector you have a perfect package. Give it a try. It lists for $29.99 but you can find it for less on eBay .... Wouldn't push only impact the phone if it were actually receiving messages.
I was under the impression push didn't maintain a constant always-on connection to the server with the iPhone. Doesn't it work along these lines: a message/calendar/bookmark update is received at the server, it then sends the phone a silent SMS message telling it it's about to get a push message and to get ready to receive it?
If that's the case, then Push will eat a bit more battery life than Fetch, as the mail app is always running in the background, idle, waiting for a message, but it's not the same as Fetch being set for constant or something frequent where the data radio is constantly fired up checking for messages to pull off a server.
The original poster's experiment seems interesting, and worth investigating. My iPhone came off the charger last night for a few hands of MotionX poker game play, and some meal input into a diet tracker, and that was all the use it got last night. Didn't plug it back into any charger and it had a competely dead battery this morning.
Something is running in the background beyond just push, in my opinion.

My network connected for a few hours then went back to timing out. I have not changed anything. However there four additional laptop users in my family who do not seem to be having any problems using their wireless connection. Could their film and music downloads be causing the timing out of my connection and if so is there a way I could prioritizes my computer or limit their use?

Hi, I have an apple tv 1G and from one day to another is not black screen, the strange thing is that on another monitor "HP w2207" looks good. But I've tested Sony LED TV, LG, .... and does not work in some apple when starting out and color is violet and green and looks bad but does not exit the main menu. I've reinstalled the factory, I tried to change resolution I miss everything but nothing. I'm desperate please help me

I also periodically have this purple/green color showing on the screen when I turn on and sometimes it happens when I turn on Directv so not an Apple TV issue. I believe in my case it is the HDMI cable/port causing it. But it corrects and gives normal picture if I turn off the tv and all devices and turn all on again.
