Increasing db level???

when i bounce a song and burn a cd the volume is much lower than a normal cd. is there a way to increase db level without mastering? i have my output track set at 0 with a limiter on it. thanks

Bounce with no limiting. Import your bounce to Waveburner and try some of the preset channel strip settings for mastering. Turn up the channel gain for converter blasting if desired. You are mastering when you process and final mix in any way.

  • How to increase log level for SUNW.oracle_listener resource type

I understand that i can increase logging level for a resource with "clrs set -p "Debug_level=$LEVEL", but the SUNW.oracle_listener resource type doesn't seem to have this property. Is there some other way of increasing log data to debug an issue with a listener resource? I ask because we have a strange situation where our database listener is being restarted every once in a while. With the log data I have, it appears that the listener is being stopped or dies, and then the monitor restarts it when it detects the fault, however our DBA's believe that it is the cluster that is actually the one cycling it because the monitor fails or is unable to connect because it is too busy to respond in time or something along those lines.
Maybe I am incorrect and it is the cluster, but I'd expect to see something before a "Attempting to restart listener" log entry, something along the lines of the monitor failing or a "no response in given time" before the resource says it is restarting.
Here are the logs from when this first happens, if anyone can advise, I would really appreciate it.
Sep 28 14:17:48 SC[SUNWscor.oracle_listener.monitor]:oracle:oraclels: Attempting to restart listener oracle.
Sep 28 14:17:50 SC[SUNWscor.oracle_listener.monitor_stop]:oracle:oraclels: Stopping fault monitor using pmfadm tag ORALSNR_MON_oraclels
    Sep 28 14:17:52 SC[SUNWscor.oracle_listener.stop]:oracle:oraclels: Stopping listener oracle.
Sep 28 14:17:52 SC[SUNWscor.oracle_listener.stop]:oracle:oraclels: Using method 'run_setuid_prog' to execute shutdown commands
Sep 28 14:18:00 SC[SUNWscor.oracle_listener.stop]:oracle:oraclels: Listener oracle stopped successfully
    Sep 28 14:18:02 SC[SUNWscor.oracle_listener.start]:oracle:oraclels: Starting listener oracle.
Sep 28 14:18:02 SC[SUNWscor.oracle_listener.start]:oracle:oraclels: Using method 'run_setuid_prog' to execute start commands
    Sep 28 14:18:06 SC[SUNWscor.oracle_listener.start]:oracle:oraclels: Listener oracle started.
    Sep 28 14:18:08 SC[SUNWscor.oracle_listener.monitor_start]:oracle:oraclels: Starting monitor

Thanks for the reply Thorsten. The logs I included in the original post are actually from /var/opt/SUNWscor/oracle_listener/messages_log.$RESOURCE. I'd like to bump up the verbosity on the oracle_listener logs like I can with the oracle_server logs, but for whatever reason there is no debug_level parameter for the oracle_listener resource type. Sounds like I may be SOL, but thought I'd check with the forum and verify.

  • Best way to increase audio level

I am thinking of two ways to increase audio level on a FCE project. One is to copy the audio track and duplicate it on an another audio track. The other is to increase the level of the existing audio track (modify>levels . . . ). Which do you folks out there think is best? Thanks in advance!

    Thanks again Tom.
I am just putting together a classroom video. I used four cameras. I edited it all down, and moved everything to one video track. I chose the best audio track and am using that. So I'll probably just go with relative. And it appears I don't really have to choose the audio track when adjust level, as there is only one (well, two, but it is a stereo pair). I just go to modify>levels . . . and then move the slider over a bit, and that seems to modify the levels fine without any track selected.

  • My font is yellow when replying to an email? How do I change this? I have turned off "increase quote level".

Why does my font appear yellow when I reply to an email. The receiver can't read it.
I have turned off Increase Quote Level.
Any ideas? Can you change font color at all?

Change the email on the old account to another new, current email address.
An email address can only be linked to one Apple ID.
It is possible to have content from multiple Apple ID's on a single iDevice.

  • Increasing inventory level

    Hi,
I have a problem with SAP APO and increasing inventory levels. I would appreciate your help in this issue.
The forecast accuracy for our products is very good and we don't have any issues in the production planning. But our inventory level is increasing. How can I diagnose where the problem could be? What are the main settings that I need to look at?
    Thanks for your help.
    Best Regards,
    Roy

    Roy
Inventory is a symptom of a problem, not the problem itself. When you say that your forecast accuracy is good, this usually only affects Safety Stock, not all Inventory.
What specific inventory are you talking about - Finished Goods, Raw Material, Work In Process ? Pipeline Stock, Cycle Stock, Obsolete Stock, etc.
So here are some things to consider -
    1. Has your demand been increasing or become more volatile ? If so, some of the policies/ settings in supply planning could lead to higher inventory.
    2. Have you changed Supply Planning policies/ settings - Lot Sizes, Lot Size Policies, Safety Stock Methods, Safety Stock quantities. etc. This obviously has a huge impact on inventory.
    3. Have planned lead times changed - Longer Production Times, longer pick/ pack, goods receipt times, longer transportation lanes ? Adding buffer in planned lead times usually leads to higher inventory.
    4. Have you changed your distribution network - Increased number of customer facing locations? Push Deployment instead of Pull ?
    5. Has there been a change to product portfolio - Increased number of new products ?

  • When watching movies on my iPad with headphones (they're Bose so good quality) on an airplane I can barely hear the sound with everything turned up--any suggestions to increase sound level outside of normal volume adjustments?  thanks for the help

When watching a movie on my iPad 2 with headphones (they're Bose so good quality) on a plane I can barely hear even with volume at highest level--any suggestions on how to increase sound level outside of normal settings-sound level even lower when using a splitter--thanks

Same problem with all headphones and earbuds--just checked settings and Volume Limit was already off--starting to think it's a volume system flaw tied to videos and related sound.   No problem getting plenty of sound volume for music, only videos.

Hi Vassy , thanks for your prompt answer ,  I explain better with example :
first time  Dunning  :  Customer AABB
    Invoice 1  100   lev 1    Special Invoice
    Invoice 2  200   lev 1
    Invoice 3 300    lev 1
The Customer do not pay nothing
    Second Time Dunning Customer AABB
    Invoice 1  100   lev 1    Special Invoice
    Invoice 2  200   lev 2
    Invoice 3 300    lev 2
    Thirt time Dunning Customer AABB
    Invoice 1  100   lev 1    Special Invoice
    Invoice 2  200   lev 3
    Invoice 3 300    lev 3
I mean in the same Dunning letter for invoice 2 and 3 the level Dunning increase(as usual)  for Special Invoice number 1 the Dunning Level   still remain 1.
I know that I can change Manually on open Item the Dunning level but I looking for if it's possible to this automatically.
    Thanks a lot.
    Cheers.

  • Sudden decrease in bass - had to increase bass level dial to get the same amount as before. W

I currently use my Inspire T7700 speakers with a Creative Audigy 2 ZS soundcard.
    Today, everything was working fine.
Suddenly, there is a drop in the bass. I check settings and nothing is changed. When I did the "speaker tests" in the THX Setup Console all of the speakers functioned correctly except the woofer.
When I increased the bass level dial, I finally got bass produced out of the speaker.
Why is it requiring the bass level to be increased fully to get a bass when before all I had to have it was at about 40% to get the same level of bass?
Like I said, no settings were changed. This just "happened" in an instant.
    Thank you!

It should also be pointed out that whilst BTw state that applying interleaving shouldn't reduce your line speed, it does reduce the maximum line rate achievable (your Attainable Download rate) which then effects your the Line rate if and when your FTTC modem resyncs, less noise = less interleaving needed = higher attainable rate , more noise = more interleaving = lower attainable rate.
I do find my latency to be quite high from time to time. I've been playing games for many years and have had some extremely poor connections which have produced some horrid pings, but although it isn't too bad the majority of the time - about 20-40ms - it can hit 60-70ms, which isn't acceptable. It can be 15ms at times, but I haven't seen my ping in-game as I've gone from PC to console. I've never had any issue in-game online yet.
Sods law. I just check my connection speed and I got a 3998ms ping. Lovely!

  • Increasing volume levels from Ipod

I have loads of AAC & MP3 files loaded on my Ipod but the volume levels are too low when played through the car AUX is there a way to increase the volumes before or after they download to the Ipod.

If you boost the volume of the songs in iTunes, you must then sync the iPod to iTunes once again in order to reflect the changes. If you have done this and still cannot hear a difference, then there is something amiss.
Same with iPod Volume Boost. It matters not that the iPod was manufactured for the European market, it should works with all iPods.
It work with two iPods in our family that were purchased in the USA.

  • Increase audio level of a portion of a track

I have put together a number of clips to create my track. Now I need to increase the audio level of a portion of the track. Is this possible???
    Thank you

    Thanks for the fast reply.
I am looking at that right now but will have to admit I am Mac dumb. This is my first Mac and only GB project attempt. I lost on how to: Turn the "curve" on
Choose the curve you want to work with from the pop-up menu at the left of the row.
Click the rectangular LED next to the name to turn on the curve for editing.
The curve is a horizontal line extending the length of the track. If you move the track’s slider (for volume curves) or dial (for pan curves) before adding any control points, the entire curve moves up or down to the level of the slider or dial.

  • Increasing the level of imported music as the video is ending

Almost had the answer from another post but not quite. I have imported a music score that comes in as the person in the clip is finishing speaking. I cannot find a way to increase the volume of the music after the speaker is done, so that it compliments the separate closing credits clip. I have tried the slpit clip thing but it will not work as the imported music spreads across the actual clip, a transition, and the closing clip animation.
Older versions of iMovie let you adjust independently so I am lost here.
    Thanks for any help.

Here is the way I would do this.
Drag your music track in to the project and drop it on the frame where you want it to start playing. Leave volume at 100%.
Now, click on the clip with the person speaking. Again, open the inspector to the Audio Tab. But a check mark to turn on the Ducking feature, and set it to a level that you like, say 15%.

  • Any way to increase audio level of your movie?

I've uploaded a taped video into iMovie and when I play it back, the volume level is too low (I can hear it but it's not loud). I've increased the system pref vol, the vol level, and the volume level in iMovie so everything has been turned all the way up.
I saw where you can extract the audio. What can you do with it when you extract it? Incresase it? And if you can increase it, how would you add the audio back to the movie?
What I want to know is, is there another way to increase the volume if you've turned up all the computer volume controls and it's too low?
    Mark

The best place to increase / adjust audio levels assuming the source video footage has something to work with is in the video editing app. Have you tried posting this question to the iMovie forum?
If your iMovie has low audio levels to start with then this will also be reflected w/in iDVD if no adjustments are made beforehand. Hope this makes sense.
Also check in the iMovie Help Menu if you haven't already:
I can't hear the audio in my movie
If you can't hear some or all of the audio in your movie, here are some things you can check:
Make sure your computer's volume is turned up. Use the speaker controls on your keyboard or the volume slider in the menu bar.
Use the volume slider below the iMovie monitor to increase the movie volume.
Make sure the audio checkbox is selected for the track you want to hear. The audio checkbox is to the right of each track in the timeline viewer.
If the audio checkbox is selected, then choose View > Show Clip Volume Levels and see if the audio levels for the tracks are set to a level that can be heard.
Making your movie louder or softer
If you find that all or part of your movie is too loud or too soft, you can adjust the volume of your movie in the timeline viewer. You can increase or decrease the volume of the entire movie or just specific audio clips. For example, at a certain point in a video you might dramatically increase or decrease the volume of accompanying music.
IMPORTANT: These instructions are for setting the volume of video that people will hear as they play your movie. If you only want to adjust the volume of your computer's speakers, see "Adjusting the volume of your computer in iMovie HD" below.
To make your movie louder or softer:
Click the Timeline Viewer button (shown above).
Select the clip or clips whose volume you want to change in the timeline viewer.
Tip: To learn how to select multiple clips, see "Selecting clips" below.
Click the clip volume button (shown below), and then drag the slider to adjust the volume.
Tip: You can also type a new percentage in the field next to the clip volume button to adjust volume.
You can also make finer audio adjustments within a clip. For more information, see "Fading audio up or down."

  • WLST Script for Increase Log Level

    Hi All,
How do we increase the log level of the log files using WLST ?
I know, how to increase the log levels using the EM Console page, but I want to know, if it can be done using WLST or Python script.
    Thanks.

Here is a WLST script that you can adjust to meet your requirements.
    connect('weblogic', 'welcome1', 'localhost:7001')
    edit()
    startEdit()
    cd('/Servers/AdminServer/Log/AdminServer')
    cmo.setLoggerSeverity('Info')
    activate()
    Run with $ java weblogic.WLST ScriptBoot.py
Note my server is called AdminServer, so you will need to adjust for your server name and change logging level as desired.

  • Increasing verbosity level of logs alert_orcl.log etc..

    Hi!
How can I increase the verbosity of the log files in ../admin/orcl/*/
especially alert_orcl.log and all the trc files in bdump subdirectory ?
I tried to change the parameter "event" in init.ora without success.
    Thanks for you help.
    F.

    Hi Rattus,
generally, the event parameters relate to specific events, not the database as a whole. Are
you having a particular issue that you need help with?Actually I'm using a virtualization technology to checkpoint and restart oracle server (simple installation on a single node, with the default database).
Everything's OK till the checkpoint, including the latter, but at restart it fails (the process tree is being rebuild but when the processes restart, they almost immediatly die with SIGSEGV, leaving core file), and something might badly be restored.
I'm trying to find according to oracle what is bad, ressources corrupted (shm, memory etc), timeouts that occurs, specific checking made that fails etc...
The logs at restart, at failure time are the following (extract of alert_orcl.log):

I would like to know what's wrong exactly, and that's why I would like
to increase the verbosity level of these logs :-/
If so, I'd recommed that you post in the database forum.Let me know if so :)
    Thanks,
