Is it possible to increase the Vista partition after It's been set up? I'm also using VMware. I have Vista Ultimate installed but dont seem to have the ability use the Aero features. Is this because I only have 5 gigs on the windows partition? Also should I increase the system resources for the windows side to be able to use Aero.

5GB left? I think MS and probably Apple recommend 20GB minimum and 40GB as more reasonable.
Just installing updates and patches, SP1 and later SP2, can require 5-10GB of free temp space. Plus room for paging, hibernation, cache and temp files.
Aero also depends on graphics, and amount of RAM.
Paragon Software's CampTune is a resizing bootCD, but you should make a backup first with WinClone which can also restore to a larger partition.

I have recent bought a new Macbook Pro and then I start doing all the necessary setup. This is the first time I do such setup with bootcamp myself anyway.
1st: normal MacOS setup, the Lion version has been setup perfectly.
2nd: run the bootcamp and setup the Windows 7, done perfectly as well.
3rd: try to partition and resize the harddrive with the Lion installed and create 2 new FAT partitions (now 4 partitions in total: 1 for Lion, Journaled, 1 for Windows 7 in NTFS, 2 for file sharing purposes in FAT). See if I can have better partitioning to do necessary organisations.
4th: When I want to restart in Windows to see if the newly created 2 FAT partitions can be read in Windows environment and can function norally, the Windows setup does not show at the start up page when I hold the "Option" key during the startup. I then try to restart again, still no such partition but boot directly to Lion.
5th: I tried to repair the Windows 7 with the start up disc and then it worked. I can also see the 2 newly partitioned FAT drive work normally.
6th: When I want to restart in Lion, I cannot boot the Lion OS and I cannot find the start up icon on the startup page even with me holding the "Option" Key.
7th: "MacOS Installation Utility" appears. I tried to repair but cannot as I have neither the Lion setup disc with me (coz the Lion has been pre-installed) nor a time machine backup/ any other backup image to load from.
8th: Tried to "erase and install a new copy of Lion", the partition where the Lion has been previously installed cannot be shown, now indicate itself as "freespace" and not able to be selected for my "erase and reinstall" process.
9th: so I go to 2 other FAT drives to do as the instructions to try "erase" and hope the "reinstall" process can be started. But the Disk Utility ends up saying the drive cannot be dismounted/ cannot verfy...
At the end of the many tries, I tried to shut the computer down and restart again, hopefully something will work still.... the startup page now shows a disk image with ?, I guess NO OPERATION system/ drive detected for booting. So I got a piece of metals without any use now...

In Windows, go to Control Panel -> System. Do you see a Boot Camp option? If you do not, please download BC drivers as appropriate for you specific Mac year/model System requirements to install Windows on your Mac via Boot Camp - Apple Support
and Boot Camp: Install or repair Boot Camp drivers.

On each of the phones you're gonna use a new Apple ID for iCloud: turn off Contacts, Calendars, etc. for iCloud. You'll be prompted to keep the data or delete it from the phone, then turn off iMessage, FaceTime & delete the iCloud account...Settings>iCloud...scroll down...delete account. Then, setup iCloud using the new Apple ID, turn on iMessage & Facetime.
This will have no affect on the ID you share for iTunes content, & you can continue to do so.

I have a cube in which i'm using the TIME DIM that i created in the warehouse. But now i wanted a new measure in the cube which is Average over time and when i wanted to created the new measure i got a message that no time dim was defined, so i created a
new time dimension in the SSAS using wizard. But when i tried to process the new time dimension i'm getting the follwoing error message

According to your description, you get the above error when processing the time dimension. Right?
In this scenario, since you have updated the DSV, it should have no problem on the table existence. One possibility is that table has been specified for tracking in the notifications for proactive caching, but isn't available any more for some
reason. Please change the setting in Proactive Caching into "MOLAP".

"The window title attribute for the page layout region has not been set. This attribute value will be used for the browser window title and should be set according to the UI standards. My requirement is to extend a VO and almost done with that but when i run the PG ( HomePG.xml ) file to ensure everything is fine , The target page is being displayed with above error. Just to let you know that i have already set the Titile and Window Title attributes for the HomePG.xml region i.e PageLayoutRN.
One more thing i would like to share is that i was set the Window Title to 'Oracle Applications Home Page' , but target page name is being displayed as 'Oracle Applications'.

Cannot Access the Service Partition after installing Lenovo Driver and Application Installation

I recently upgraded my Lenovo 3000 H210, M/T 5355-2NU from Windows Vista Home Premium (64-bit) to Windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit) with the media received through the Windows 7 Home Premium Upgrade Fulfillment Program.
I installed the 64-bit version of the Common Components Installation v1.0.0.8 and restarted the computer and then installed the 64-bit version of the Lenovo Driver and Application Installation program, v5.1.0.0900. After
restarting the computer, I receive a message box stating "Cannot access the Service Partition". If I click on
Lenovo Driver and Application Installation on the Start Menu, I receive an error that the installation has not
completed. Restart to complete the installation. If I restart the computer, I am back to the first error.
Any idea how to resolve this situation?
Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I am having the exact same problem. It's driving me nuts. I also downloaded and attempted to reinstall the factory software from Lenovo's site. It installs but will not launch, giving me the following error message: "This software is for intallation on a Lenovo computer." Or words to that effect.

Changing the Fluid Grids Once they have been set up

Hi - I have set up a fluid grid site for a client which has a 10, 20 and 24 grid layout for the three versions.

There is a nav bar to the left in each version and the rest of the columns are split evenly.
There's the nav and then a 2 columm layout in the mobile and tablet versions.
There are 3 columns to the right of the nav in the desktop.
At the last minute, the client decided that when a visitor clicks one of his thumbnail pics,
he wants them to see a full size image that goes across the entire width of the page
and is not confined to the width of a single column.
The second problem is similar. The site has been set up so that the mobile version has 2 columns. However, although he is happy to have 2 columns of pics, for example on the index page... He does not want 2 narrow columns of text on, for example, the about us page.
The upshot of all this is that no single layout suits the layout required. Some of his mobile pages
need to be one columm wide and some need to have the existing two columns. Some of the tablet versions are ok with 2 columns, some need just one. Finally, some of the desktop pages are ok with the existing 3 columns, some need to have just one, with an enormous pic filling the entire page.
The website design is at quite an advanced stage and I have already scrapped umpteen versions to get this far.
I have tried creating new pages in various versions with the single column layout. I have tried altering the existing fluid grids on the required pages.
However, it seems that whatever I do alters the layouts on ALL pages not just the ones which need alteration.
Any suggestions how I might get around this problem - I cannot be the only person with, for example, thumbnails which need to expand to full size when clicked.
I am really stuck, running way passed my deadline for completion and I badly could do with some good advice - Many thanks.

Possible to increase the total size of a software raid set?

Hi,
I need to increase the size of a software raid set which is internally in one of the Xserves - originally it had 2x 400G drives.
I've swapped drives into the raid so they are both now 500G drives.
diskutil info drive XX (ie raid set) shows that the raid is still a 400G raid volume as expected.
Question is - can I grow the Raid Total Size to use all the capacity of the member volumes?
I guess the alternative is to remove the drives from the raid, enable raid on one of them and then add the other drive as a member... but this would mean I would have to take the raid offline.
The raid sets are not my system disks.
Any clues?

Thanks for your help.
I rebuilt the array using enableRaid. Worked fine with Raid Volume offline for approx 5 minutes - although I had to degrade the array (and go bare with no mirror) twice in the process.
In case anyone is interested, this is what the process was:
1 Swap into Raid array larger drive (say, disk 2) and let array rebuild
2 Disable file services.
3 removefromraid disk 2 (leave it mounted).
4 Unmount the raid set and eject drives (say, disk 1) Remove drive - it's the only original backup.
5 enableRaid on disk 2
Providing enableRaid is ok -
6 Insert a fresh larger size drive in the place of the removed drive (disk 1)
7 Unmount new drive and addToRaid
8 (Rebuild array). Providing rebuilding ok -
9 Start file services again.
Data, permissions & ACLs were all intact. So now users can fill the rest of the raid up with more MP3s this week <sigh>

In case you are using unix based OS. use
export ANT_OPTS=-Xmx500M
before calling the ant command.
Also you can set ANT_OPTS as an enviornment variable.

I got the message "Preferred Credential has not been set"

Dear Madem/Sir,
When I use the OEM, I expand the "HTTP Servers" item and click the "rh8svr1:4443".
It will appear the something in the right pane.
When I select the "started" option and click the [Apply] button, I will get the message "Preferred Credential has not bee set".

I did set preferred credentials for the 9i server SID, but the HTTP Server does not allow anything to be set . It states that "No credentials are required for HTTP server mrc-2k:80"
