    Are you on a slow Network Connection? I would recommend you to Clear the browser Cache and History and  then try again or try using a different browser on a different Network Connection.

  • TS1398 I can no longer connect to my home wireless on my ipad2, have done all the suggested fixes, still cannot connect.  Daughter cannot connect her iPod, but husbands laptop is connected to wireless.

    All of a sudden my ipad will not connect to our home wireless.  I have reset the wireless settings, turned my ipad off and back on, turned off wireless and back on, basically have done all of the fixes suggested and still I cannot connect.  My daughter cannot connect her iPod either, but my husbands laptop can and is connected to our wireless.  The wireless is working and until two days ago I had no problems connecting.

    Some things to try first:
    1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
    2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
    3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
    4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
    5.  Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)
        •    Launch Settings app

        •    Tap on the blue arrow of the Wi-Fi network that you connect to from the list
        •    In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

    Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.

    you have definitely tried the correct steps, all you would need to do now is a back up & restore to factory settings. If after that the issue remains then you would most likely need a replacement unit.

    Reboot router, make sure it's up to date. If on wifi try ethernet. Make sure DNS is set to automatic (settings - general - network).

    Kid is mad now there is NO music on the ipod.  At least before it had the old music and just would not download new songs.

    I've encountered the same problem as this recently, but unfortunately i haven't worked out how to fix it yet.
    I tried to fit too many songs on my ipod nano from itunes, and it told me it would create a selection of these (titled my songs) and put them on the nano, which it did. I then went back onto itunes to delete some songs so that they would all fit on the nano. I also deleted the "my songs" playlist, knowing that all the songs were still stored under Music on itunes. When i tried to sync the nano it said that it couldn't be synced as the required disk cannot be found.

         I suggest trying to replace the RAM and the memory storage. This is hard and could potentially ruin your MacBook if you do this the wrong way. Another easier way is to erase thing that you don't need.

    You didn't say what you've tried, but f the old ID is an earlier version of your current ID, temporarily recreate the old ID by going to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID.  Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change.  Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address.  You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iDevice, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then save any photo stream photos that you wish to keep to your camera roll.  When finished go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud).  Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was.  Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

Almost all  my songs play except for about 8 or 9.

    If only some of the songs on an album are giving you the authorisation message, that suggests those song files are damaged.
    If your country's iTunes Store allows you to redownload purchased tracks, I'd delete your current copies of the dodgy tracks and try redownloading fresh copies. For instructions, see the following document:

  • I've done all the suggestions, STILL NO WiFi !!

    I have the 3G 16Gb, and my husband has an original that he upgraded with the 2.0 software. Neither of us can get on WiFi anywhere (at home or in public places), sometimes it asks if we want to connect then drops it, sometimes it says network error, sometimes it won't accept the password (on home network). 3 other family members (2 8Gb 3G's and one original with upgrade) are having the same problems.
    We both have followed all the suggestions on this website (from both the discussion and support pages), and on other Mac/iPhone discussion sites, including restoring to the firmware 5A347, resetting the network settings, rebooting, etc. At home we have tested the router with multiple recommended setting adjustments with no luck.
    HAS ANYONE FIGURED THIS OUT YET?? Are we waiting for magic from Apple? or do we trade in for new phones (which I don't think will help)?

    There is something major wrong.
    At home, reset your network router and see if that helps anything -- but that would not explain why you are not getting WIFI at other hotspots.
    Do your other family members get wifi at hotspots, or nobody getting it at hotspots?
    If it's only at home, then it is your router issue. Just curious -- does the home router have a limit to how many devices can be connected to it at one time? I know at work if more than 4 people connect to the router, it knocks it offline and we have to reset it.

    My Toshiba laptop is only a couple months old. I have checked to make sure everything is updated. Ever since I've installed Mozilla, it crashes when I open it. It will stay up for anywhere between 5 and 15 seconds before it crashes. When I open Mozilla after the crash, it works fine. I have tried all the suggested troubleshooting and am tired of waiting through that first crash to use the internet.
