Ind. / Coll. reqmt indicator MRP-4 screen

Ind. / Coll. reqmt indicator has meaning only in MTO. In MTS it is useless.
If  Ind. / Coll.=1 Ind. Then system creates seperate procurement ele. for diff. sales order. (Seperate segment)
If  Ind. / Coll.=2 then system plans mat. as MTS (one segment only)
Am I right? If not, please explain.

Hi Sandeep.
Indicator 2 and blank works for the MTS and indicator 1 is for MTO. If you keep this blank for the components then these componenets parts will be managed as per the header part indicator.
This indicator controls whether individual or collective customer requirements planning is allowed for dependent requirements.
If you define individual requirements for explosion, dependent requirements for a component are shown individually on the superior low-level code.
If you define collective requirements for explosion, required quantities for the material are summarized independently of the sales order.
Partially you are correct.

    in MRP  4 screen
what is the functions of :
    1- mrp dep requirements
    2- individual/collective requirement
PIR is only come from forecast or can be come from SO?
    thanks

    Abobakr,
    As SAP says
    The MRP dependent requirements
    MRP relevancy for dependent requirements
This indicator controls whether dependent requirements are relevant to MRP or not. Dependent requirements include dependent reservations and stock transfer requirements.
    Use
You only use this indicator in connection with planning strategies for make-to-stock production, assembly planning. Note that the indicator Dependent requirements not relevant to MRP should only be used when, for example, planned independent requirements exist for an assembly. In this case, no receipt elements for the dependent requirements in MRP should be created as receipts have already been created for the planned independent requirements.
In simple term it is the control point to plan the requirement of the component of an FG or SFG.
    Individual/ Collective requirements
Dependent requirements ind. for individual and coll. reqmts
Indicator determining whether the following requirements are allowed for the dependent requirements of the material:
    Individual requirements
Requirement quantities of the dependent material are stated individually.
    Collective requirements
Requirement quantities of the dependent material are grouped together.
    Use
You can maintain this indicator in the following places:
    In the material master record
For the explosion type of the BOM item (in Customizing for Basic Data in Define Explosion Types)
The setting for the explosion type overrides that in the material master record.
    Dependencies
If the material is assigned to a material type that does not allow quantity-based inventory management in this plant, you can set the indicator to individual requirements only.
If the stock is to be managed in sales order stock or project stock, the indicator must be set to one of the following options:
    Individual and collective requirements
    Individual requirements only
If a material managed in project stock is to be procured from another plant using a cross-company-code stock transport order, the indicator must be set to 2 (collective requirements) in the issuing plant because, in this specific context, individual project stock management is not possible in both plants.
Regarding PIR, PIR is nothing to do with SO.
SO is customer requirement & firmed requirement.
Rather SO consumes PIR depending upon the planning startegy you use in the material master.
PIR can be maintained with T code MD61.
    Hope this helps you.

  • Field Individul/Coll in MRP 4 screen field SBDKZ in MARC

    Hi
    Experts
I am looking at MM03 at the moment and can see that the field Individul/Coll in MRP 4 screen SBDKZ in MARC,  is currenlty set to blank which means we can have individual and collective requirements.  Can someone explain the impact of this field,  as I believe that it my need to be set to 1 which is individual requirements.
    thanks for your hwlp

are you doing make to order process or make to stock?
This indicator can effect stock postings and account determination.
I recently had an incident that was caused by a wrong setting in this field.
We had a subcontract based on a make to order process, and in this subcontract BOM is a by-product. With the wrong indicator, the by-product is posted to sales order stock instead into own stock, because of this a different account was found.

  • Setting Ind/Coll indicator in a sub-con PO

    Experts,
We have a situation where for a MTO sub-con Sales Order we end up with stock available for the component & hence would like to put in an enhancement to set the Individual indicator for the comp to Collective.
I'm not sure where the Ind/Coll indicator appears on a sub-con PO for the component? is there one?? all I find is a "Special Stk" field at the header matl lvl, which can be set with Normal Stk, Cust Stk, Prj Stk etc..
    Any ideas?
    Thanks

I found the Special Stock indicator "E" on the Component detail of the finished products Sales Order, I guess thats the one I was looking for. I want to now change this to normal stock, how can I?
Is there a standard function module in SAP with which I can find the components being used on any given sub-con PO. Also, my interest is to find if the PR for that comp has been converted to a PO. Only then I would like to make some enhancement to my FG PO.

  • Indicator light when screen is off

    Hi,
I have a MacBook Pro mid 2010 (OS X Lion 10.7.2). I may be getting insane here, but I have this strong feeling in the past (i.e., in Snow Leopard) the MacBook indicator light would turn on whenever you reduced all the screen brightness, so that you knew the laptop was on.
Have this "feature" been removed from OS X, or it never existed in the first place?
    Thanks,

  • Caps lock indicator remains on screen at all times

One of my clients has a T410 with Windows 7 64-bit installed.  When he turns on his caps lock, the indicator lights up and the same indicator appears on the screen and then stays present until the caps lock is turned off.  When caps lock is turned off the indicator disappears in about 3 seconds.  My other T410s are not experiencing this issue.  What can we do to change the indicator so that it only appears on-screen for 3 seconds?  I appreciate your help.

  • How to include Special G/L Indicator in MIRO screen

    Hi all,
There is a scenario, where the invoice has a retention sum value and user request to input it during MIRO.
    Example:
    PO Value = RM100
    GR Value = RM100 (100%)
IV Value Physical = RM100 with 10% retention sum.
So IV in SAP should be:
    Debit      GR/IR                                    RM100
    Credit     Vendor                                                  RM100
    Debit      Vendor                                   RM10
Credit     Vendor (Special G/L indicator)                 RM10
When you have the special G//L indicator, system will show that the amount to be paid to the vendor is only RM90 and RM10 is a retention sum and will be due in 1 year.
Is there any BADI or user exit that I can use to cater this functionality?
    Thanks.

    Anyone?? Pls assist.

  • Negative stock indicator-MRP

    Hi All,
Material is maintained in sloc 1000 and  1001 and  storage location 1001 is set for negative stock.
Due to goods issue there negative stock entry created in 1001 and MRP is creating planned for the same qty.
    How to prevent this?
    For example;
    Stock in Sloc 1001 = -5 EA.
    Planned order = 5 EA
    Thanks.
Edited by: Csaba Szommer on Dec 30, 2011 11:33 PM

Yes, Sloc 1000 is excluded from MRP. Mvt Type 601 happened from 1001 thatsy got negative in there. I had idea that there is no way net req calc can exlclude negative stock but just wanna check if there is any logic which I am not aware of??
What's the sense of doing net rquirement calculation w/o considering the real stock level in the system = how can you do net requirement calculation without considering the stock level in the system ???
I think you should only understand what net requirement calculation is.

  • MM-MRP query

    Dear All,
    1) If  we keep Collective requirements only (2) rather than Blank or 1 in MRp4 then what will be the impact on Purchase & MRP Run
    2) What are the configurations needed at SPRO level for automatic generation of PR during MRP run?
    Regards,
    Indranil

    Hi Indranil,
    1) Please read F1 help for field MARC-SBDKZ:
E.g. if you are in MTO environment and you use 1 in this field (of the component) then the dependent requirements (of the component) are generated in special stock segment of MRP. In case of value "2" dependent requirements will be generated in the "main" (e.g. plant) segment of MRP.
    2)
    - You have to maintain the proper procurement type in MARC-BESKZ ("F") /or if you use quota arrangment, then in MEQ1)
    - You have to run MRP with proper selection paramters (e.g. 1-3-1-3) in MD01 / MD02 / MD03 - Please check creation indicator, F1 help:
    Creation Indicator for Purchase Requisitions
For materials procured externally, this indicator controls whether the system:
creates purchase requisitions for the total planning horizon,
creates planned orders for the total planning horizon which are manually converted into purchase requisitions at a later date,
creates purchase requisitions within the opening period and planned orders outside the opening period.
    Dependencies
In the single-item planning run, the system always uses the creation indicator specified in the initial screen of the planning run. The creation indicator maintained in the MRP group is not taken into account.

  • Choose correct MRP Strategy group

    Dear gurus,
Could you please provide help on the following problem:
I have a material, which both can be sold and can be a component for some subsequent material. If material is sold (a sales order is created for it) I would like the system to create Planned order type KD (individal planned order) during MRP Run. If the same material is a component for the subsequent material, I would like the system to create Planned order type LA (so the requirements from the subsequent materials should be grouped on some basis, stated in the "Lot size" in Material Master.
So, all materials can be both sold or be a component, that is why I need to assign all of them the same strategy, which corresponds to the criteria stated above. Which strategy should I choose?

It is strange how maintaining 1 in ind/ coll indicator Material master has an effect for the requirements from the sale order. This indicator is only applicable for the dependent requirements and not for direct requirements from sale order. Given below is the text from help. I tried in my system with the indicator 2 in material master. It works as per your requirement.
Dependent requirements ind. for individual and coll. reqmts
