InD CS6, what happened to margin-top CSS property in EPUB?

I have been playing around with EPUB export in InDesign CS6. What surprised me the most is the missing CSS property. What's the reason to leave margin-top property out from the paragraph styles? Is this a feature, a bug or am I just doing something wrong? Others noticed this also?
Other thing which surprised me is the unit they use in margins. Earlier it was em but now it's pixel. Any way to change this?

When I turned the computer on this morning it said updates were available: CS6 2.02, I believe-although I can't remember for sure or find that version listed now on any "About" screen. I just clicked "Yes" to update. I'm not sure why they arrived for me but not you. I did have a problem with Acrobat X quitting yesterday (another CS6 bug) and had to deactivate and reactivate the package to get Acrobat to work. Don't know it that would affect updates though. I have never seen any availabe when I checked.
Anyway, the first thing I tested after the updates I received were installed was the epub export and nothing had changed regarding top spacing. Seems like we either have to add bottom spacing on previous paragraphs, use forced line breaks, edit CSS files, or create in CS5.5. For me, the latter still seems the easiest way to create an e-book after creating the print book.

PS CS6 - What happened to Page Setup?

Please help - I'm about to bang my head on the desk in complete frustration, and it shouldn't be this difficult!!
What happened to Page setup in CS6? I'm trying to print a document with canvas size 11x17. When I try to print, the media box is listed at 8.5x11. There is no obvious way to change it, and Page Setup is no longer in the file menu, or on the dialog box.

Change the page size in print settings. But some printer drivers require that you save custom print sizes as a preset before they'll tell the application about the custom page size (lame, but that's printer drivers for ya).

What happened to Itunes top album or song lists by Genre?

I don't like the new Itunes Store Homepage layout. You used to be able to see these visual "top" lists by genre. Anyone know how to do that now? I.e. what if I want to see top Classical or top Electronica?

Hover your mouse over "Music" in the black bar at the top of the main iTunes Store page and click the white arrow that appears. Select the genre you want from the menu list.

WHAT!!! What happened to the top 25 in the app store?

Hi,
I was just looking in itunes this morning and I went onto iTunes and went onto the app store. When I was there I suddenly noticed that the top 25 paid and free apps section was completely gone! I then had a look at my iPod Touch, went onto the app store and pressed the "top 25" tab at the bottom. All it showed was a blank grey page where all the apps should have been.
Has anyone else had this problem or is it just me?

But just to give a time frame of this problem; I went onto iTunes Plus last night, maybe around midnight and those side options were gone.
Also, I just refreshed the iTunes Store and it disappeared again.
It could be a small problem that they're trying to fix without cutting off the store completely, so it'll probably be on and off for a little while.

CS6: What happened to the toolbar icon to jump to Bridge?

I just installed PS CS6 this evening on my 32-bit Win7 laptop and on my 64-bit Win7 workstation.
Everything went just fine for the installation on both PCs. I always go about setting up my Preferences right away, and I immediately noticed the handy toolbar icon in PS for jumping over to Bridge is gone. I see that CNTL + ALT + O will do it, but hey! Once in Bridge, the toolbar icon to jump back to PS is still there (the little boomerang icon). Is it really gone, or is there something that I need to change to have it suddenly re-appear?

Yes they consolidate and elilmintated one toolbar.

CS6: What happened to "saveAsHTML"?

mentions that the HTML Export feature has been removed "from the Save for Web" dialog in CS6.
The CS6 Illustrator Scripting Reference however still mentions "saveAsHTML" in the ExportOptions for the exportFile method.
It does not seem to work anymore - which is consistent with the blog entry, but not with the documentation.
How can I continue to generate HTML Imagemaps from Illustrator?

I believe they just forget to delete these from the documentation. Like that they also forget to add new things.
So now it's impossible to generate HTML code with JS.(Maybe `Application.sendScriptMessage` can do something helpful? But that's also no documentation)

I am calling the SubVI called "Addition.Vi" from the Main VI two times. In first case i haven't checked the property Reentrant and i am executing the main program. So only one instance will be created and the SubVi's will be executed sequentially. In second case i checked the property Reentrant in SubVI. So multiple instance will be created and the subVI's will execute simultaneously. Here my question is is there any difference in memory usage for both the cases?

Rolf accurately summed up what is duplicated and what isn't. But the
bigger issue is when to use reentrancy.
As usual, the first issue to deal with is correctness. Memory versus
performance tradeoffs are one thing, but making your program produce
incorrect results is a bigger issue.
One way to characterize a VI is -- functional or nonfunctional.
Functional VIs are of the form y= f(x). For the same x, they will
always produce the same y. Nonfunctional VIs such as a running average
or a DSP filter do not do this, the history of previous calls will
affect the result of a given call. Nonfunctional VIs can be represented
as y= f(x,state), and can be implemented functionally so that state is a
parameter, either the state info or a reference to the state. Or they
can be implemented so that the block on the diagram "holds" the state.
With a functional VI, you can change reentrancy without affecting
anything but the memory/versus parallelism tradeoff. If you change
reentrancy on a nonfunctional VI, you just made a big change to the
behavior. Take a LV2 style global for example. Nonreentrant, and every
reader sees the last writer. Make it reentrant, and nobody talks to
anybody else, all readers get the initial value, and the writers send
the data to their own copy. This VI works as intended only when
nonreentrant.
Now lets look at a running average. If reentrant, each call drops off
new points for a channel and returns the running average for that
channel. Drop a second and it works independently on a separate channel
of data. Make the running average nonreentrant, and you are now
combining the channels into one and returning the average of that data
stream, which will probably produce very odd results. This VI works as
intended only when reentrant.
So the point is, before worrying about perfomance and parallelism, make
sure your VI is functional first. If it is nonfunctional, the
reentrancy only makes sense one way, and the compiler can't tell which
makes sense, only the designer of the VI.

What happened to Layout Adjustment? CS6 MENA

Hey, what happened to Layout Adjustment?!
I'm looking at InDesign CS6 8.0.1 ME version (Hebrew enabled, English
interface). It's definitely not there under the Layout menu. I've got
"Create Alternate Layout", "Liquid Layout", "Reverse Layout" (an ME
feature), but no Layout Adjustment!
I have clicked "Show All Menus" in the Workspaces menu at the top of the
screen.
I have trashed preferences.
To no avail.
The only way I'm able to access Layout Adjustment right now is via Quick
Apply (with "Include menu commands" ticked.)
Also, in Edit>Menus>Application Menus there is no entry that I can see
for Layout Adjustment (I'm looking under the Layout menu entries.)
So... where did they move Layout Adjustment to? Where is it on your
machine?
Alternatively, did they just forget to include it?

Twitter api and $("#Stage").css("margin","top") issue

I put the twitter api from commonedge.org into my web project.
But I couldn't get it to work until i removed this from my stage:
$("#Stage").css("margin","top").
Once it was removed, the twitter api worked fine...
when I put it back in, it stops working again.
I'm puzzled why this is?
Anyone have an idea?

Ok,... so I figured out this was a line from hell... and I dont even know where I got it from
(as I've been juggling learning edge's actions/codes and messing things up).
Not only the twitter, but nothing else worked, symbols, actions, mouse and touch functions until I removed this line.
Once I deleted $("#Stage").css("margin","top") from the stage... it's all happy again
(until I put something else in that i have no clue what does)
it would be interesting though, if anyone knows if there EVER would be a reason to have this line?
And why it would/could kill all other functions?

What happened to Camera Raw in Bridge CS6

What is going on with Adobe? What happened to the Camera Raw features in Bridge CS6? It was working perfectly fine in previous versions.
Working on a MAC, first sign, when I go in the AdobeBridge CS 6 drop down menu, select Camera Raw Preferences... nothing happens. Then, selecting any JPEG, right-click, no option to open in Camera Raw like before.
Should I install something to have this activate? Am I missing a piece? We just bought 10 version of hte Creative suite and we rely on Bridge a lot to work our photos, specially Camera Raw...

CAMERA RAW (ACR):
To get to ACR:
File>open (Mac) or open as (windows) and pick file. Change format at bottom to Camera Raw from selection list
File>browse in Bridge, right click or hold ctrl and click on tiff or jpg and select open in camera raw
There are also preferences you can choose under "file compatibility" to prefer ACR for supported RAW files

Did you run any updaters recently, i.e. like just before this happened? Try this first fix: make a duplicate copy of the library and try the following:
1 - delete the iPhoto preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist, that resides in your Home/Library/Preferences folder.
2 - delete iPhoto's cache file,, Cache.dbt, that is located in your Home/Library/Caches/com.apple.iPhoto folder.
3 - reboot, launch iPhoto and try again.
NOTE: If you're moved your library from its default location in your Home/Pictures folder you will have to point iPhoto to its new location when you next open iPhoto by holding down the Option key when launching iPhoto. You'll also have to reset the iPhoto's various preferences..

What happened to the hand drag sliders in CS6?

What happened to the hand drag sliders in CS6? You know when you would create an adjustment layer and then you could hover below the sliders and just start dragging either way? And you could option+double click and reset the value to 0. Is this functionality still in CS6?

There is no place I get a "Hand" when near sliders in an adjustment layer, though I can click on the sliders themselves and drag them.
Conroy, can you do a screen grab of what you're describing? Perhaps I'm not looking at the same thing you are.

What happens to my installed CS6 Master Suite apps with CC?

Hi -
This line of questioning may be the product of a suspicious mind but - what happens to my investment of Adobe applications when I subscribe to CC?
Will they be overwritten or deactivated?
If I'm in a situation where I have no access to the Cloud, will I be able to use my installed Master Suite CS6 applications seamlessly? What Adobe apps WOULD I be able to use if I have no connectivity?

Jlucchesi your CS6 Master Collection license will continue to be applied to your currently installed software. If you decided to download and install additional CS6 software then you can apply your Creative Cloud license to those newly installed CS6 applications.

Move your cursor way over to the right side of the window. There should be a thin bar. when you hover over the left side of the thin bar, the cursor will change to a vertical bar with an arrow sticking out the left. Click and drag to the left.
