Independent requirement for KANBAN Calculation

Hi all guru,
Now i can use kanban caculation for Semi-FG (it use dependent requirement for calculate) and i want to calculate FG too! but i don't know how to configure to use independent requirement (forecast) for automatic kanban calculation. who expert know please explain to me?
Thank you in advance...

Kanban Calculation takes place for requirements at a control cycle
level, specifically at a supply area level. The kanban calculation can
therefore be only carried out for dependent requirements that refer to a
supply area. This supply area is usually assigned to the BOM item but
also can be defined in production version or material master.
Please refer the following documentation:
SAP R/3 Enterprise Application Components
  Logistics
    Production Planning and Control (PP)
      PP KANBAN
        PP - KANBAN
          Automatic Kanban Calculation
Calculating Depndt Reqmts for Automatic Kanban Calculation
I am afraid, independent requirements(PIRs in MD61) entered and also
sales order requirements can only be tracked at a plant level, and hence
cannot be included for Kanban calculation. On the same lines the
dependent requirements that are defined only at a storage location level
are also not included!
In fact KANBAN scenario is suitable for the business where the
procurement need not be planned well in advance, all procurement can be
initiated at any time once KANBAN is empty. This is the most important
characteristic of KANBAN. The introduction of PIRs into this scheme
contradicts this very objective of 'avoiding' lead times in planning.
This is also the reason why KANBAN calculation is more appropriate for
dependent requirements from supply area, characteristic of most
automotive industries, where make-to-stock planning happens mostly at
higher Sub-assembly levels and not at component levels.
Kanban is more relevant to only one subset of MRP requirement elements
i.e, the Dependent requirements.
Also, incase you want to include all storage locations / supply areas
in the plant for the control cycle in question, then in PK02, for the
said control cycle , under Kanban calculation tab, click on "Additional
Requirements Button" and enter the plant (without the storage
location/supply area). In this case, the automatic kanban calculates all
the dependent requirements in the plant.
In automotive releases we have the BADI MPKC_REQ_SELECTION
hooked in the function module PK_READ_DEPENDENT_REQUIREMENTS.
Customers, who want additional requirements such as the ones from APO to
be included for calculation, can program here.
Production Supply area is the key for the requirements to match with the
control cycle. Hope I have clarified your query.

  • Creating Planned Independent Requirements for an MRP Area.

    Hi All,
    I am trying to enter Planned Independent Requirements for an MRP Area, with requirement type VSE and I get the following error;
"Only stock requirements are allowed when planning at MRP area level".
I can enter at the Plant level with no problems.
    Any guidance is greatly appreciated.
    Kevin.

The following is the excerpt from SAP [Help|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_470/helpdata/en/81/470a58ddab11d1b55b0000e82de178/frameset.htm] I think you maintained a planning strategy in the MRP view (for the plant) which doesn't support VSE.
You can delete PIRs from an MRP area by deleting the MRP area number from the Creating Planned Independent Requirements screen and recompiling.
When you define the planning strategies and parameters in the material master, these parameters apply to the whole plant, including all the MRP areas within the plant: You cannot maintain the MRP areas separately.
The integration of the MRP area and the assignment of the MRP area in the sales order is supported only by a user exit in the sales and distribution user exit pool.
Sales orders with MRP areas are created irrespective of the availability check control group in the material master.
Customer order processing of production sales orders with the item category (account assignment Step E Single) is only maintained in the MRP area of the plant.
In Customizing and in the MRP area user exit, make sure that when transferring individual sales orders, only requirements types KE, KEK, KEKS, KET, KELV, KEV, KEVV, VSEF, and VSE are generated.
The following requirements types are valid for the MRP area: KE, KEK, KEKS, KET, KELV, KEV, KEVV, VSEF, and VSE.
You cannot plan with preliminary planning materials in the MRP area.
There is no planning strategy for the material segment of the MRP area.
The planning strategy for the material master segment of the plant is assigned to the material segment of the MRP area.
The consumption mode and the periods of adjustment are derived from the plant in the MRP area of the material master.
Only consumption customer requirements with planned independent requirements are allowed: VSF requirements with KSV and VSFB with KSV.

  • Report showing independent requirements for several materials

    Hi
    Workiing in SAP 4.7
Looking for a report where I can see independent requirements over time,  for several materials, based on a time characteristic such as month/week. So for example I want to see the independent requirements for 10 different materials in a list, with the time characteristic on the horizontal axis.
Is there any such report? I am NOT asking for MD05/MD06/MD61/MD62.

    Hi Raf,
If you are using planning strategy 20 (MTO) then directly create sales order

  • Update for Planned independent requirements MD61

    Hello,
I'm doing update for Planned independent requirements, from excel file for plan, than incuding material and quantity per period, using transaction MD61. I have the next inputs:
    - Reqmts plan
    - Plant
    - Version
    - Planning horizon
    - Planning period
I tried with 2 possible solution, with differents problems:
    1. Batch input to MD61: Here I have the problem with go to the next page, for quantity more than the rows displayed in the table control of dynpro in MD61. it does not work with OK_CODE '=P+'and I followed differents advices of other post in SDN but anything worked.
    2. Function module: BAPI_REQUIREMENTS_CHANGE and BAPI_REQUIREMENTS_CREATED, I deleted all materials for plan before the update through batch input (this works) then I can use both Function Modules. The problem in this solution is that when I have planning period: 'P' or 'K' the system saves the plan with inconsistences for variant of period or calendar (this information is managed in batch input on MD61)
    Thanks for your suggestions,

    Hi,

  • What is the use of t-code MD74 - Reorganising independant requirements

what is the use of t-code MD74 - Reorganising independant requirements

basically it to delete the unwanted PIR for the last period.
Let us say you planned PIR for 100.
At the end of Period the total salae order were 90, PIR shows 10 excess, this has to be deleted. We can do it manually, but this can be done collectively
pl go through the link below
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_47x200/helpdata/en/cb/7f9b7043b711d189410000e829fbbd/frameset.htm
With the reorganization function, you can delete planned independent requirements for which there are no sales orders in the database. You can delete the planned independent requirements history.
A key date is required to carry out reorganization which is calculated as follows: the system checks whether a reorganizing interval is maintained in Customizing for the plant that you want to reorganize. If an interval is maintained for this plant, the system uses this information to calculate the key date. If no interval is maintained for this plant, the system checks whether intervals are maintained for any other plants, and selects the largest interval to calculate the key date. You can change the key date proposed in the initial screen for reorganization.
You can change the proposed key date when deleting the history. You can set a shorter interval for deleting histories than for deleting the requirements records.

  • Deleting a Planned Independent Requirements

    Hi,
How can find who has deleted the PIR detail?
Is there any table related to it?
    Thanks
    Srini

    Hi,
Goto table PBIM - Independent Requirements for Material. Enter either Material Number or Reqmts Plan number and execute. Check the column Deletion indicator (Field - LOEVR) "D". If it is set, represents that material is deleted. (Or enter "D" in Delection Indicator field in the PBIM table and execute to get the deleted PIR line items)
Also, if you want to know the details of that material, get the value of Independent requirements pointer (Field - BDZEI) and pass this field in PBHI - Independant requirements History table and get its details.
      Hope you can get this...

  • Independent Requirements

I have a list of independent requirements for several different materials and I need to mass change these independent requirements to have the requirement type of "VSE". Is it possible to do a mass change of the requirement type, without deleting the requirement? Can someone please tell me the best approach to doing this.
    Thanks,

As I am aware it will only delete the PIR, not the PIR type, which I think you have to do through stg in material master. It is apperaring from stg.in material master.
Once you delte the requirements in MD74, change the stg group in material mster mrp3 and then goto MD61....

  • Consumption of Independent Requirements

    Hello,
I had a question regarding consumption of independent requirements.
In my current client the user has to give Independent Requirements for the semi-finished product i.e. the component(e.g..B). This component is also used as a BOM component in another finished product(e.g. A).  So is there any way the dependent requirement(from finished Product A) can consume the independent requirement of the semi-finished product B?
Or is there any other work around?
    Any help is highly appreciated.
    Sincerely,

  • Purchasing & Order Tracking for New Independent Requirements

Could anyone tell us how they are currently handling new independent requirements that are not available in the system?
We are looking at a solution for our purchasing organization for engineering demands where a user needs to purchase a part or service which does not exist in SAP. Currently the user is manually procuring the item. We would like to come up with an automated solution so there will be better inventory tracking and reporting.
Part of our problem is that the item does not exist in the material master in SAP hence cannot be purchased through the system. Do we have to insist that all part be loaded into the system, but then this would slow down the up-front buying process thereby affecting engineering design.
Any thoughts/ ideas or best practices would be much appreciated.

    Hello Fred,
You can purchase materials and services without master.
    - by free text entry
    - by select items from OCI enabled supplier catalog

  • Unity Connections 8.6.x - Independent-persistent disk requirement for VM?

Does anyone know why Unity Connections has a requirement for it's vDisks to be set to independant-persistant mode? I don't see this requirement for any other UC application and would prefer to not set it in this mode as it prevents us for taking a snapshot when the machine is shutdown. I know that snapshots are not officially supported, but it is a great back-out plan in the case of doing maintenance off hours and deleting the snapshot before using the VM in production.
    Expanation of Independent Disks:
Independent Disks are not affected by snapshots.
Persistent - Changes are immediately and permanently written to the disk.

"All virtual disks assigned to the Connection virtual machine must be configured  in independent-persistent mode, which provides the best storage performance."

Yea I also noticed that the OVA did not apply this setting. I have turned this on manually as this document states it is a requirement. Just wondering if this requirement has been droped at some point since that secton of the document was last modified June 9th 2011. I can't seem to find the requirement anywhere else beside this document and it is not stated anywhere that it was dropped.
