Indesign 5.5 trial download

I have been trying to download the trial version of Indesign 5,5 for hours,  the download does not seem to get off  the ground? est download time is 571 hours which is almost the same as the 30 trial period.  nb. I am not on a slow internet conection!

What operating system are you using?
I would recommend deleting your browser history, cookies & cache. The restart the browser and try to initiate the download.

  • InDesign CS4 Trial Download Error

    So I spend 10 hours downloading the trial version to Adobe Indesign CS4. It downloads fine and I'm set to install. As I install, it goes about halfway, to the Adobe NA Color Settings, when a popup comes and says that Adobe Setup has encountered a problem and needs to stop.
    Any clues on WTH happened?
    I'm running Windows Vista, Home Edition, Verion 6.0 with SP1.
    I've tried installing it with firewalls down, in simplified mode, with interenet connected and not connected.
    Frankly, I am at a lost to what is up.
    I really need Indesign for school and was planning to buy it after I installed the trial version. But the trial won't even install properly.
    Any help would be nice

  • Trial Download of Indesign CS 5.5 fails at less than a minute remaining

    I have tried downloading the trial version of InDesign CS 5.5 on two different Macs, both eventually fail/hang when the message in the Adobe Download Assistant is "Downloading xxx MB - less than a minute".  This message  remains indefinitely.  No log file that I can find indicates any progress, and the downloaded file is *larger* than the size indicated in the "Downloading xxx mb message".
    In both cases, the computers are running OS 10.6 and the destination for the download is the users Downloads directory.  In one case, the user is an administrator of the computer, in the other it is not.  In both cases there are previous licensed versions of Adobe creative suite products installed (CS5).
    Please provide a solution or a direct download link.

    Please try the following steps:
    1) Visit Adobe.com product download page http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/tdrc/index.cfm?product=indesign
    2) Click the "Download Now" button
    Adobe Download Assistant will launch on your desktop, and after you sign-in (it does not remember the credential intentionally), you will be prompted for a location to save the product and download will start.
    If you are already on an Adobe.com product trial download page (step 1), simply refresh it, and then click the "Download Now" button.

    I had downloaded the InDesign CC 2014 trial version but it only worked for 5 days not 30. Not sure what else to do.

    It's a pity but it sometimes happens, for reasons including hardware and network changes, and changing the computers clock. There are no second chances, so I hope you were able to make your purchasing decision within the 5 days.

    While Adobe says that InDesign is available to download with a 30 day trial, they have cleverly designed the website so as to make it impossible to find. Does anyone have a link? I don't particularly care whether it is CS3 or CS4, but I do care that I get the software today. Please help.

    Thanks a freaking bunch, Adobe. I have a class tomorrow on InDesign for which it was recommended that we wait until the last minute to download and install ID. So you are telling me I get to watch rather than participate because Adobe has made it impossible to do a trial? This blows. Thousands of people done precisely what I want to do, and thousands more will do it once Adobe gets its act together. But in the meantime, I've paid for a class that I will not be able to actively learn from, and so I am now much less likely to pony up the $700 since my ability to evaluate the software has been drastically curtailed. I use Photoshop daily and I teach Lightroom. I really love Adobe products, but when they conduct their business in a way that hoses me it really pisses me off.

    Hi, I have successfully downloaded Adobe InDesign CS6, using the Download Manager Software. When I click on 'Install", a window appears with a progress bar ("Adobe Installer"), and the bar gets about 2/3 through, then I get an error message saying "We've encountered the following issues. Installer failed to initialize. Please download Adobe Support Advisor to detect the problem." Then a link to download Adobe Support Advisor, or button to Quit.
    So, I downloaded and ran Adobe Support Advisor. After initializing, the software tells me "no issues detected."
    - My machine meets the system reqs for InDesign CS6
    - Obviously I have tried restarting my machine and running all these steps again. Still getting the error.

    Okay, Mylenium, here are my system specs:
    Mac os x version 10.6.8, 4gigs memory, 2.3GHz Intel Core i7 Processor, 470 Gigs of available hard drive space.
    I have run all of Apple's software updates up to today, and I have also run cleanup and Disk Utility repairs just in case these are a factor. Still getting the error message with the "Failure to initialize install."
    Also: I have installed on my machine InDesign, Photoshop, Flash, Illustrator, Dreamweaver CS5.
    Can you help me?

    I've downloaded the Adobe Download Assistant four times. It does not immediately begin my InCopy trial download, and there is no option within the assistant to begin this download. (I only want InCopy, not InDesign). What now?

    The download will be initiated from http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/tdrc/index.cfm?product=incopy&loc=en_us and wil still utilize the Adobe Download Assistant.  If this is not working for you then please try a different web browser.

    For some strange reason I can't use the Adobe download page, I sign in etc but when I click on the download now button nothing happens.  Is someone able to give me the direct url for the trial download?  I've done a similar thing with Indesign and it worked fine.

    Try disabling your popup blocker.  Adobe pops up a login dialog immediately after clicking the Download Now button.

    And what specifically? You need to provide much more info. anyway, if the extraction takes longer than half an hour, start over or manualyl extract the files from teh 7z archive using WinZip or WinRar.
