Indesign Bug with Auto-Size and fitting in Anchored frames

Hi,
Steps to reproduce:
1. Create a text frame with 2 Anchored text frames with the same width.
2. Make the anchored frames Auto-Size --> Vertical only
3. insert text to the first frame, when type enter to the next line the frame become higher but the next frame remain in the same position. just after typing the first character in the second line the next frame adjust in the right position.
4. The same happen when pasting text that make the frame bigger.
5. The same happen without Auto-Size when fit frame to content.
Does anyone knows about it?
Any idea how to bypass?

Can someone help with auto-size fields in forms?

I created a form in Acrobat for my team members with auto-size text fields that allow to shrink the text when the field size is not large enough to show the entire text. When I then open the same form file with Adobe Reader on my machine with text that has shrunk in some field, I can see all the text and have also a scroll function when the text size has reached its lower limits and there is still more text to show.
However, when I receive the filled out forms back from other team members' iPads (they use my template created with Acrobat), the text didn't shrink as on a PC version and the scroll function is disabled. I checked the template and the fields are correctly set to auto-size left and they do work on my PC's and laptop's Adobe Reader. But the iPad version of Adobe Reader may cause some issues.
Can anybody help with solutions?

The filled version of your PDF document (20140722 Daily Meeting Report...pdf) is no longer a PDF form because it has been flattened.
Once an interactive PDF form (such as your template version) is flattened, all form fields are replaced with images of filled data. You can no longer interact with form fields, edit form data, or tap/click any buttons in the flattened PDF document. That is the reason why the text in auto-size text fields did not shrink.
When you email a PDF document (including a PDF form) in Adobe Reader for iOS, the E-mail Document dialog is displayed.
In this particular case, your team member must have selected "Share Flattened Copy".
If you would like to keep the interactivity of a PDF form, you can select "Share Original Document". Please advise your team members to select the "Share Original Document" option when emailing filled forms.
Unfortunately, once flattened, a PDF document cannot be reverted back to the original "unflattened" state. However, if your team members still have the original filled forms, they can resend the forms with the "Share Original Document" option.

Rotoscoping with Auto Trace and the Hold Keyframes it produces

I was looking at the masks that were created with AUTO TRACE and noticed that they are all with HOLD keyframes. I had used Hold Keyframes only on the mask opacity but not on the Mask Path...is this the better way to go - with hold keyframes for Mask Path. I toggled between Hold and Linear but can't see and difference

You'd only see a difference, when you use motion blur (a lot of it). Else the areas inbetween the keyframes do not figure into the equation and thus the visual result is the same.

Appropriate component with auto complete and list of values

Hello,
I am using Jdev 11.1.1.6.0 with ADF BC and ADF Faces as technology stack.
I have a use-case and right now struggling to find the appropriate component/implementation for same. The requirement is:
1. User should be able to type and tab out to auto complete with perfect match.
2. Not all users are expert so they should be able search and select the items from list
3. Minimum key press should be there. E.g. auto complete should require only one tab press to complete and go to next field
inputComboboxListOfValues fits most of above except #3. One tab simply selects the item from list and second tab is needed to move out to next attribute. Is there a way to force one tab to auto-complete and move out to next attribute?
Tried simple inputBox with autoSuggest behavior but it lacks in opening of search and select feature that LOV component provides. Another drawback is that you need to wait for auto suggest list to appear and select before moving out to next attribute.
This is needed on a very highly frequent used screen, so no speed and key press compromise is expected. Most users are expert and they know the code, so just type and tab out is expected but at the same time if typo happens and code does not exist in valid list then pop-up should appear to search and select.
Is there a way to achieve this in ADF application (this is very well implemented in Oracle Forms application)?
Any help is highly appreciated.

I understand the single matching value and expecting move out in single tab for perfect match only. inputComboboxListOfValues selects the entry in one tab [even for single matching value] and user has to press another tab to go to next attribute.
Are you suggesting that it actually moves out to next field in single tab for "single matching value"?

Issue with slideshow size and buttons.

I am having issues with the spry image slideshow with filmstrip. I can not figure out why the buttons disappeared. When I was installing the slideshow to the site I am pretty sure I only changed the size so that it would fit the page. Once I got that figured out I noticed the buttons where no longer there. Also the arrows for the thumbnail pictures would not work. I was able to make some adjustments to get the arrows to work with thumbnails. Still having problems with the play and next and previous buttons. They are not visible. Any help would be appreciated. The site is http://abbeyhelpsbrokenhearts.com/story.html
I have created a brand new page to test in dreamweaver. If I change the size of the width it puts a white box below the slideshow with the buttons below.

I have a movie project on Adobe Premiere Pro CS4. I simply want to export/publish the movie, burn it onto a DVD using Windows DVD maker and have it as top quality, like it looks in the preview monitor on Premiere. Tell me how to do it.---
I dont use encore to burn a dvd, but use DVDit PRO. It wants exactly what you got when you exported to mpeg 2 dvd ....a video file without sound muxed.. and a separate wav file....
I know it sounds weird but thats the way the program burns the DVD....and that has to do with making the VOB files etc for the DVD...which is just the way it is....you see the vob files AFTER you burn the DVD if you look in the DVD...
anyway, mpeg 2, mpeg 4, all that highly compressed stuff ( as you said ) is highly compressed to FIT onto the media ( DVD ) or whatever....but it plays good and it looks good...and has NOTHING to do with anything except squishing stuff down to fit the media and looking ( viewing ) GOOD. the best movie you ever saw on DVD is mpeg 2 ..... turned into vob in the making of the DVD by the software that makes the DVD.
all these things are different animals ...what you edit , what you deliver, etc ....

HeathVault Exercise data not syncing with Bing Health and Fitness App

Exercise data in the HealthVault is not showing up in Bing Health and Fitness application. My HealthVault only has one user in it (myself) and it shows all the Steps data from my FitBit. However, the data does not show up in the Cardio
tracker or in any other tracked section in Bing Health and Fitness. Bing Health and Fitness shows that it is connected to the HealthVault. I've disconnected and reconnected the HealthVault with Bing. Everything looks like it is connected,
however the data still does not show up.

Has anyone seen this BUG with Time Warp and Dissolve?

I'm doing some real basic slow-mo clips, transitioning with various dissolve wipes. I've come across a problem that is extreemly frustrating! I'm wondering if anyone has insight on a fix or if Adobe does service packs or fixes that I might be able to install.
If you put two clips adjacent to each other on a timeline, apply time warp, set percentage to say 30% of realtime, then apply a dissolve between the clips, clip B, the outclip will play in reverse for a period equal to about 1/3 of the duration of the clip.
This is true scrubbing through the timeline and even rendering.
VERY ANNOYING!
I'm going to call support tomorrow, but that's not going to help me get my project finished any sooner since this is a critical element in this composition. I've tried the time remapping method, but the frame-blend is no match for the pixel motion of time warp.

I think your post #11 was being sarcastic, but you left a little wiggle room for it not to be. With the sarcastic interpretation, I must add my thoughts:

. It is important that users who discover bugs with reproducible steps file them - otherwise they don't stand a chance of ever getting fixed. Steven Gotz's advice was sound in this regard.
As to the discussion of workarounds - since this is a User-to-User forum, the best that we as a community can do is help each other out with workarounds, since none of us here have the power to actually fix anything.
The important thing to glean from SG's post is the definite need to file a bug report.

Urgent issue with video size and quality.

Ok, I have Premiere Pro CS4 and I am running on Windows 7 64bit. I have a movie that I have been working on for 2 years that already has hundreds of proper LightScribe DVD's, slim cases and printed cover wraps already done and paid for. I was supposed to already be done with this and selling copies, but Premiere has royally messed things up for me and I am now in limbo with the project.
The film was recorded with simple non-HD 4:3 camcorders. Some of the footage is from years ago and was uploaded via USB low quality, but it still looks fine on YouTube, my computer, and even when I burned a DVD with the footage alone unedited. The rest was uploaded with via DV and is actually pretty good quality for being 4:3 and non-HD. I took all this footage and stretched it out with a little bit of cropping to make it widescreen on Premiere. Again, it looks great in the preview and looks fine when I exported it as a WMV.
However, when I burned it to DVD, it was horrible quality and also chopped off the sides of the film on my widescreen TV, even though I exported the film as widescreen AND burned it on the widescreen setting! Why would it do that if it was made, exported and burned as widescreen??? Also the sound was terrible! And I exported on the highest setting possible.
Second, I heard that AVI is a better format, so I tried that. The file was absolutely huge and when I opened the file with media player it wasn't the same perfect fit as the WMV. What I mean by that is, when I watched the WMV, media player showed the video as a perfect fittig window, no excess black space on the top or bottom. Same thing with several AVI mainstream movies that I have on my computer (actual movies, like Terminator Salvation, Pandorum, Black Hawk Down, etc). They all fit media player perfectly, no excess black on top or bottom. So why is it that actual movies in AVI format and my WMV video and movie files are perfect fit on media player, but when I export an AVI from Adobe Premier, it adds excess black on top and bottom? That doesn't make any sense, especially since you can look at a preview of what the exported file will look like and it doesn't look anything like what the ACTUAL export is. What kind of a joke is this?
So I pretty much need help figuring out why the exported movie is horrible quality, especially on DVD that is so bad I cannot dare to sell it to a customer, AND I need help figuring out why my Premiere Pro exported AVI's look nothing like mainstream film AVI's that I have on my computer. Someone please help, this is really hurting my business!

InDesign bug with wacom intuos

Hello! I have a problem with In design. Since I got a new wacom intuos pen and touch, I have a bug with In Design, it won't save or save as, can't even do UNDO. Does anybody has ever experience this kind of problem? I have mac OS X version 10.6.8 and Adobe CS5.

Yes. But working in CS6. Can't save. Wacom stylus doesn't respond until I tap somewhere out of the CS6 environment and then tap back in the CS6 environment. Then sometimes stylus responds. Also try edit/purge/all action. It seems to help, but in reality this is no way to work.

Since IOS 6 update, malfunction with auto rotate and sounds

Hello. I'm wondering if others have experienced a problem since updating their IPads. Since the update, I've lost the dual functionality of auto-rotate and sounds. I can only have 1 of the functions operate as per norm. If I want sounds (for keyboard clicks/games/etc.) my screen will not auto orient. Vice versa for auto orientation. Normal rotation is only possible with NO SOUND for the previously mentioned apps. I've performed reboots, and also endeavoured to make the obvious corrections in the General Settings fields. When I uncheck "MUTE"...it automatically places a checkmark in the lock rotation field!!!
Can anyone offer a solution, to what i perceive, as a software issue?

If you lose sounds for keyboard clicks, games or other apps, email notifications and other notifications, system sounds may have been muted.
System sounds can be muted and controlled two different ways. The screen lock rotation can be controlled in the same manner as well.
Settings>General>Use Side Switch to: Mute System sounds. If this option is selected, the switch on the side of the iPad above the volume rocker will mute system sounds.
If you choose Lock Screen Rotation, then the switch locks the screen. If the screen is locked, you will see a lock icon in the upper right corner next to the battery indicator gauge.
If you have the side switch set to lock screen rotation then the system sound control is in the task bar. Double tap the home button and in the task bar at the bottom, swipe all the way to the right. The speaker icon is all the way to the left. Tap on it and system sounds will return.
If you have the side switch set to mute system sounds, then the screen lock rotation can be accessed via the task bar in the same manner as described above.

Imovie '09 v8.0.5 bugs with speed change and titles

OK so here is what I'm experiencing.
I take a clip and change the speed. Then I add transition from the previous clip to this one and all of a sudden I cannot play the video again. I can't delete the slowed down clip even. I can play video that is in the events library, but not that in my project. When I do mouse over the beginning of my video and play I can hear the sound but it is like it is far off in the distance and the video is just solid gray. I have run into many other similar bugs when changing the speed of a clip but could always delete the clip, quit, relaunch, and try again. With this problem I added a transition and can't even delete the clip. Apple please address this issue. Thanks!

I am having the exact same issue. Change the speed of a clip in the project, then the ongoing video screen no longer displays the project correctly (but does display when playing clips from the library). This happened recently as I've made several older projects on iMovie 09 using multiple speeds. Perhaps a bug with the 8.0.5 update.

Possible bug with Pick flag and Collections

Odd behaviours in v3.3 (Windows) with pick flags in Collections:
Create (or use) a Collection Set which contains a number of different collections
Assign Pick plag to one photo in each collection
Bug 1: Highlight Collection Set and note that none of the images shows the Pick Flag in the thumbnail view. Also Filtering this view with Pick flag fails to pick up the Flagged images
Now return to one of the Collections within the Set and create a Virtual Copy of one of the images that has a Pick flag. (Note virtual copy does not have a flag - which seems logical). Return to Collection Set and (Bug 2) note that Pick flag has disappeared from original image and now appears on Virtual copy.
Something wrong here somewhere I suspect.

I could partially repeat bug 2.
I have Collection Set (Test) which contain to collections: "Collection 1" and "Collection 2". Both Collections contain 4 images.
I selected "Collection 1" and applied Pick flag to all those images. When I select Test (Collection Set) I got 8 images shown, which none had flags. Ok, this works as expected. I selected "Collection 1" and then selected 1 image and made Virtual copy from it. Lr show me now 4 images with Flag and 1 virtual copy without. Again, works as expected. I now select Test (Collection Set) and I get 9 images (as expected), but one of them, the virtual copy, has pick flag applied. Not as expected. If I go back to "Collection 1" I get four images with Pick flags and one virtual copy without. (as expected.)

I am executing MRP on 7.04.11
As shown above the, can you please explain why the planned order is on Wed 12th and it covers 5 days requirement and similarly Tuesday 19th and covers 6 days.
I am not able to relate the relation between Planning calendar and Lot size procedure used. Also what would happen if I make planning calendar valid for two days in a week.

Yes you are right the Planning Calendar starts 18.4.11 and ends 24.4.11
Now as far as first planned order is concerned I thought it should be scheduled to start&end on Monday 11.04.11, rather it starts&ends on Tuesday 12.4.11. Also the actual coverage days goes up to 5 days even though its maintained for 3 days.
Similarly the second planned order also comes up on Tuesday 19.04.11 and covers 6 days (more than the setting and planning Calendar of only Monday)
On the whole this is confusing me on Lot size and Planning Calendar relation and how it impacts MRP. Can you please help me on this.
Also if you can throw some details on: how to restrict MRP to give planned order only on, say, Monday and Thursday, as only then it could be produced.
