InDesign CC 2014 settings won't sync

I downloaded InDesign CC 2014 and was excited about the new sync settings feature that would allow all my InDesign CC settings to automatically move over to the new version. Unfortunately, I failed to first upload (sync) the settings from InDesign CC before launching InDesign CC 2014. As such, CC 2014 didn't detect any settings that needed to be synced during the initial launch. I've tried syncing the settings from my old InDesign CC app but InDesign CC 2014 refuses to sync. How can I force ID CC 2014 to sync? What are the steps?

You can force InDesign CC 2014 to sync the previous version settings from
Edit > Migrate previous version local settings.

AE CC2014 Settings won't sync.

After installing CC2014, I launched CC and synched my settings, uploading everything. Then I closed the app and launched CC2014 and told it to download all settings. It comes up with the dialogue, "Settings are already in sync. No synchronization necessary." Nothing has been synched, though. The app is at complete default, and the info panel says the time of the last update and says, "No files transferred." Is there a way to get force it to sync or something? Am I missing something here?

Are you expecting the settings from the previous version, After Effects CC (12.x), to come across automatically to the current version, After Effects CC 2014 (13.0), through Sync Settings? That's not how it works.

Desktop settings won't sync

My desktop machine won't allow desktop settings to sync. Sync Settings under the menu are greyed out and Preferences > Sync Settings says that I'm not Signed in to Creative Cloud. Last Upload and Download are not available. Meanwhile under the Help Menu I am Signed in because it offers me the option to Sign Out (correct@email). The Creative Cloud App also says I'm signed. I also activated File Sync without issue, but this hasn't been necessary before.
Is this an issue?
This is the case with all of the apps I've launched (PS, Ill, ID)

Keyboard shortcuts won't open & settings won't sync PP CC

Hi All,
I have two issues...
1) The keyboard shortcuts panel won't open so I can't change them.
2) My settings refuse to upload to CC no matter what I do. I've tried deleteing the stored settings from my CC account. I've tried signing out of CC via the helpmenu in PP and then signing back in again. I've tried clening the media cache. Restarting/rebooting/opening new project etc etc.. all steps suggested in other posts but nopthing seems to work.
Any thoughts gratefully received.

My settings won't sync.

I'm up to date on all software on two machines. One is set to upload all settings (prefs, workspaces, shortcuts), and another is set to download all settings.
Both are Macs, running Premiere and After Effects.
When I sync, it does the whole "you must restart the application" thing. Which I do. And then nothing has changed. None of my workspaces from one machine show up on the other. None of my keyboard shortcuts either. Nor my preferences/settings.
Any thoughts?

2nd computer won't sync Indesign workspace settings from cloud

Wonder if somebody could help please? I have Indesign CC 2014 installed on my work computer and offsite on my home computer. I sync my workspace from the work computer to the cloud but my home just doesn't give me the option to download the cloud workspace. All i can do on the home computer is press sync settings which then overwrites the cloud settings. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Ipod 5 won't sync with iTunes, says it needs to be restored to factory settings.

Two error messages pop up when I plug it in.

I can't format my ipod, there's too much stuff on it (and it's not like I can back it up because it won't sync) that I would lose. At first I thought this was because my connect cord was worn out, it kept disconnecting and reconnecting while it was plugged in, but I got a new cord and the problem is still occuring.
Please help! I can't sync any of my apps or information and I can't add any new music to my ipod, which is problematic.

However, after your remove the Apple software components also remove the iCloud Control Panel via Windows Programs and Featurs appin the Window Control Panel. Then reinstall all the Apple software components

- Run this and see if the results help with determine the cause

If you can resolve #1 and still get same message for #1 then you have to restore the iPod like the message says.

InDesign CC 2014 won't download or install

I'm running OS X 10.6.8 (Mountain Lion?) on a 2011 17" MacBook Pro. I have the Design Standard CC subscription.
I'm getting InDesign CC 2014 Mac files from customers, and they won't open in InDesign CC.
I would install InDesign CC 2014, but don't see a Mac installer in the Adobe Application Manager. (It was automatically pushed and installed to my PC a couple of months ago.)
I suspect I need to upgrade my OS, but I've read that Yosemite is an Adobe-killer, so I'm not doing that!
Mavericks is supposed to be good for Adobe products, but I can't find an installer. Apparently it's no longer available in the Mac App store.
I have a work-around for now, but I can't be the only one with this problem!
We have only two Macs here in my office, both still running Mountain Lion.

I do have permission to install Apps. I have CC for Teams, I am the administrator.
My issue is that Indesign CC 2014 does not show up on my list of applications in the Application Manager on my Mac.
I also have CC on my PC. InDesign CC 2014 was automatically pushed to the App Manager, I installed it awhile back on my PC. But on my Mac, it's not even available to me.
I've researched it some, and it looks like InDD CC 2014 won't run in Mountain Lion (10.6.8) which would explain why it doesn't show up. Minimum specs = Mac OS X v10.7, v10.8, v10.9, or v10.10, according to Adobe. And I can't find a Mavericks (10.9) installer anywhere. And Yosemite is too new, I'm not going to beta test that.

Are you facing issue opening files created on CC2014 on CC version, If yes then you can follow the following article. You have to save the files in IDML format in order to open them in older versions.

If you have CC version installed , you can also try to upgrade to CC2014 version from Adobe Creative Cloud Desktop App and open the files without any problem.

Had to reset Ipad to factory settings, now Ipad won't sync to Itunes and apps that aren't factory installed will not open. Is there anything I can do?

I hope someone can help. There was something wrong with my Ipad so I had to reset it back to the factory settings. Now the Ipad won't sync to Itunes and only factory installed apps will open. Does this mean that this Ipad is DOA and it is time for a new one? Or is there anything else I can do? It is a 1st generation Ipad.

if all that does not work you can always try to do a recovery mode restore back to factory settings and then set it up as a new device then try to redownlaod every thing again

Illustrator CC 2014 tools won't expand on non-touch screens

In Illustrator CC 2014.1.1 (18.1.1) the tools in the tool panel won't expand when the main Illustrator window is not on a touch screen. I am using the regular interface, not the touch interface.
I have three monitors, one of which is a touch screen. If I move the main Illustrator window onto the touch panel then the tools all work as normal. As soon as the Illustrator window is on another monitor, it is impossible to expand any of the tools that normally roll out to reveal extra tools. This has been driving me crazy for a month, and it was only today I discovered what was causing it.
Even if the tools aren't on the touch panel, they still work okay so long as the main window IS on the touch panel. Conversely if I move the tools to the touch panel but keep the main window on a non-touch panel, I can make them expand on the touch panel but ONLY with a finger touch and not with the mouse.
This is obviously a programming bug, but I have in case tried resetting my settings several times (and disabling settings sync). Illustrator CC (non-2014) still works fine, as do the pop-out tools in InDesign CC 2014. Prior to patching to 18.1.1 this worked fine in Illustrator CC 2014 too.
I am using Windows 8.1.

I reset the preference file more than once, just to be sure - has no effect.
As Monika says, you can ALT+click tools to cycle through them, but this is only a temporary solution and it would be good if the software could be fixed. It's very frustrating not being able to easily change to most tools from the UI. For now I have put my most-used tools on a custom tool bar instead.

InDesign CC 2014.2 crashes on close

Is there anyone, who may have experienced InDesign CC 2014.2 to crash on close. Just after the last INDD update, problems began to occur when I quit/close InDesign.
I have tried just about everything possible except "slapping" the monitor. The only thing left is to uninstall and reinstall. I would greatly appreciate any comments or suggestions by my fellow InDesign users.
Unable to get rid of the opening splash screen (yes, I've clicked the "Don't Show Welcome Screen Again"), as well as the "CC Libraries" tab in the middle of the screen.
Since my research has found no relevance to my problem; I must be the cause of my problem. A thanks goes out to anyone with a "heads-up".

My photoshop CC won't sync

Im trying to back up all of my photoshop CC 2014 settings and it won't sync. I am connected to the internet and illustrator sync perfectly.
Photoshop fails every-time it try's to sync. Can someone please give feedback on this error?

Data Merge error InDesign CC 2014

Hi Folks!
Eager to use new InDesign CC 2014, I was trying to develop a simple set of Certificates for a costumer, as I always did in older versions of InDesign. 50 sheets or so (each sheet just change the name and the category os certificate). Everything was fine, but when I output the merged file, InDesign just COLLAPSED! Many times occured the same. Fortunately I could do it in InDesign CC, that worked fine.
Can anybody tell me if occurred same issue in new InDesign CC 2014?
