InDesign CC Constantly crashing & now costing me valuable design time. Can anyone help?

For the last couple of weeks my InDesign CC is constantly crashing & I am now starting to lose valuable design time as I have to keep force-quitting it, then re-starting it & have to re-set all my preferences & settings each time. This is taking up so much of my working day I am not actually managing to get any work done.
Today I have uninstalled Creative Cloud & re-installed in thinking there may be a glitch in the preferences or something - but alas! Its just crashed on me again!
I had a document open in inDesign & was working in Photoshop quite happily. I then flicked back to inDesign to discover the spinning wheel of death & that it had crashed yet again! I can't work like this - is just not practical & as I say is now costing me valuable time.
Does anyone have any ideas or are suffering the same fate?

Hi Peter.
It does both - mostly it just hangs with the spinning wheel - but then it will close itself. And other times - i can be working & it literally just closes.
I don't work on a network - just my own Mac on its own with all my files taken from external hard drives.
not sure that anything did change on my computer before it started if i'm honest - not that i know of.

    The same thing is happening with my wife's iPhone 4 and we can't figure it out. When placing a call, the screen freezes and she needs to restart the entire phone.
    She upgraded to 5.01 this morning over the air while it was plugged in. Immediately afterwards, this problem started happening. We've tried restarting the phone several times and plugged in to iTunes but there's nothing she can do do to fix it.

    If you are having issues with your iPhone’s camera not functioning, you may want to troubleshoot using the steps in this article -

    Specifically -
    Camera isn't functioning or has undesired image quality
    If the screen shows a closed lens or black image, force quit the Camera app.
    If you do not see the Camera app on the Home screen, try searching for it in Spotlight. If the camera does not show up in the search, check to make sure that Restrictions are not turned on by tappingSettings > General > Restrictions.
    Ensure the camera lens is clean and free from any obstructions. Use a microfiber polishing cloth to clean the lens.
    Cases can interfere with the camera and the flash. Try gently cleaning the lens with a clean dry cloth or removing the case if you see image or color-quality issues with photos.
    Try turning iPhone off and then back on.
    Tap to focus the camera on the subject. The image may pulse or briefly go in and out of focus as it adjusts.
    Try to remain steady while focusing:
    Still images: Remain steady while taking the picture. If you move too far in any direction, the camera automatically refocuses to the center.
    Note: If you take a picture with iPhone turned sideways, it is automatically saved in landscape orientation.
    Video: Adjust focus before you begin recording. You can also tap to readjust focus while recording. Exiting the Camera application while recording will stop recording and will save the video to the Camera Roll.
    Note: Video-recording features are not available on original iPhone or iPhone 3G.
    If your iPhone has a front and rear camera, try switching between them to verify if the issue persists on both.

  • HT3805 I have done all the above actions including several confirmations on the database itself.  I am still unable to get aperture to boot.  This was a worked yesterday gone today issue and now I am deeply concerned.  Can anyone help further.

    I am still not able to recovery Aperture and get it to open the library.  I really need some help here on what is casuing the issue. 
    I never got a warning on the library or anything when I shut it down.   One day later it won't open.  I sent some pictures out via email and looked through one library.  There was a warning panel that came up with a bunch of errors from the console APP.  Nothing specific.

    Edge has very clear restrictions, one being that you must have 6 months of clean payment history which you don't. Either wait until April 14, or good luck at Sprint.
    I am unsure how it can be determined the payment mix up was the fault of CS, but regardless, the mix up was done. There can be any number of reasons why a payment could be missed without any fault on your part, however you are still the responsible party for the account and must live with the repercussions.

    I had to update as it wouldn't recognise my iphone anymore, although it opened fine prior to the upgrade.

    Try a reset on the phone. Hold the sleep/wake and home buttons together until you see the Apple logo and then release. The phone will reboot. If it still isn't working, then restore the phone.

  • Before the latest update, while using Windows 7, I could click on the Firefox taskbar icon(at thebottom)and I'd get a new Firefox window regardless of how many I previously had open. Now, it doesn't do that. can anyone help?

    Ever since the latest update, when I click on the firefox icon in my taskbar, I don't get a new browsing window when I used to be able to do so.
    I've checked the tabs menu in the options, and I don't see a way of enabling this feature.

  • Help! Our college can't afford massive jump in cost from CS6 to CC. Can anyone help?

    With the new cost at around $150/seat/year for our small Graphic Design/Multimedia program at a State College, we aren't going to be able to afford to continue with Adobe. We've been diligently paying for maintenance and upgrades from CS3 to CS6 and now the cost is 5-fold. Can anyone help? is this really happening or am I missing something?

    In addition, you can't apparently require students to own their own version for class purposes unless your institution has the classrooms outfitted with an EAA licence.
    It used to cost us around $4k to $5K/year to have our labs outfitted for our students with CS3-CS6, now it's going to be about $30K/year with CC
    what I'm talking about it outfitting a classroom for teaching/lab purposes, it's jumped 3 to 5-fold with Adobe's new plan with CC and we don't end up 'owning' the software and paying for upgrades/maintence as we have for years.
