InDesign CC - Fusion de données : aperçu dynamique d'une couleur

Bonjour à tous,
Je travaille sur la création d'une charte graphique et plus précisément sur la définition des couleurs.
Afin de permettre une modification facile de ces couleurs, j'ai utilisé la fusion des données.
Ce que j'ai fait :
Un document inDesign lié à ma table Excel de codes hexadécimaux.
Une fois exporté, mon document présente donc tous les codes hexadécimaux (pour l'anecdote, ils correspondent à mes variables SASS).
Ce que j'aimerais faire:
En allant un peu plus loin, j'aimerais "automatiser" la création d'un aperçu de la couleur en utilisant la même table excel, et avoir un résultat proche de ceci :
Mon problème réside donc dans la création d'une forme (qu'elle soit ronde, carrée, rectangulaire m'importe peu) qui afficherait la couleur correspondant à chacune de mes valeurs hexadécimales.
Voyez-vous une solution ?

Avec la fusion native, cela me semble difficile à obtenir sans un minimum d'huile de coude. Je ne crois pas en effet que tu puisse obtenir la génération des pastilles à la volée. La solution serait de créer ces pastilles en autant de fichiers graphiques externes puis de créer une colonne dans ton fichier de données de type @image et de paramètrer l'import de cette pastille.
Sinon, il reste le scripting qui pourrait lire le champ hexa et le traduire à la volée en une pastille de couleur.
Ou alors, un plugin EasyCatalog qui peut aller sur ce genre de subtilités mais c'est peut-être excessif dans ton cas.

J'essaie d'automatiser le plus possible la création de milliers d'étiquettes, et je me heurte à un petit problème avec la fusion des données dans indesign cs3.
Mes données sont dans un fichier .csv, en deux rubriques: "cote" et "intitulé",
dans indesign mon gabarit est du type:
<<cote>> | <<intitulé>>
et l'étiquette au final ressemble à:
935.5 | littérature diverse
avec des styles de caractères imbriqués pour styler différemment la cote, le trait vertical et l'intitulé.
Mon problème: la cote (de largeur variable) et l'intitulé sont séparés par un trait droit |, mais malheureusement certaines étiquettes ne comportent pas de cote...
Comment puis-je "conditionner" la présence de ce trait droit en fonction de la présence (ou non) d'une cote?
Comment dire à indesign "s'il y a quelque chose dans la colonne "cote", met un trait droit, sinon, rien?"
Possible? Avec un script?

je ne crois pas que l'on puisse faire d'insertion conditionnelle, mais un Rechercher/Remplacer en Grep devrait faire l'affaire.
En supposant que l'on soit au début du paragraphe et qu'il y ait des espaces autour du trait droit, cela pourrait se faire ainsi :
- rechercher "^ \| " ('^' pour un début de paragraphe, '\|' pour indiquer que l'on recherche le trait droit, ce caractère est réservé en Grep)
- remplacer par rien, ce qui devrait le supprimer.

Why do you need InDesign CS (that is version 3) or InDesign CS3 (that is Version 5) to install InDesign CS5.5 (it is version 7.5)?
If it is an upgrade and asks you to input your serial of an older version, you have to get an find it. No one will help you here. If you can't find it and if you have not registered it, you are out of luck. You will have to spend money for a new version.

Printing from InDesign and Photoshop - colors don't match

I'm printing the same CMYK image from Photoshop and from InDesign, to a HP desktop color printer. I'm using CS3, all the color settings are identical in both programs, but the printed colors don't match. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I have had the same problem: an image printed from PS differs from the same image printed from ID. However, I can't very well print as bitmap from ID since the image is part of a spread, including text. I have tried various combinations of settings. I made the PS image to 100% of the ID final size (in the layout). I tried various print dialogue settings (high transparency flattener, medium transparency flattener, color managed, not color managed, CMYK output and leave unchanged ... every combination I could think of). ID does something on printer output. My understanding (at least from CS2) was that ID output to printer uses a PDF format of some sort. I had the idea maybe the ID output did some sort of resampling or re-rendering of the image, but have not prooved that out. I did get some slight improvement in the ID output when the image in the ID layout was put in at 100% (whereas it had been 88% (the original image being bigger than the ID layout size). What I am getting now in CS3 is a clean looking photo in PS, but in ID, skin tones look somewhat blotchy and a bit more saturated. The PS image is better than ID, and while ID is not bad, why is it not as clean as PS? I can definitely see the difference between PS and ID output and know it will show on press, too. Any suggestions?

Indesign problem : background color don't appears in the pdf...

When I export the document to PDF, the background color doesn't appears in the pdf.
I'm a new Indesign user. Ihave searched every where, but i have not found tutorial about this problem...

How did you implement this "background color"?
If, as I suspect, you changed the [Paper] swatch, then you aren't seeing a malfunction. That swatch is non-printing, and will not show up anywhere but in the InDesign editing environment. To add a color in the background, you must actually fill an object with the color and position it behind the rest of the elements in your layout.

Adobe Updater tells me that I have 1 update: InDesign CS6, but I don't have it anymore.

I removed InDesign CS6 weeks ago but the Updater keeps showing it being in need of an update. I checked the Adobe Installers folder and there's nothing there related to uninstalling inDesign. I did a search and found no file that includes the word "indesign." Any idea on how I can remove this notice from Updater?

Carigst please start by using the uninstaller located in Applications/Utilities/Adobe Installers. If you continue to face difficulties then please see CC desktop lists applications as "Up to Date" when not installed - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/aam-lists-removed-apps-date.html.

App manager shuts down while downloading Indesign trial because I don't have administrator rights on my pc, though I do. What could I do here?

Records returned with static parameter, but don't when using dynamic

I am using CR Developer, Version 11.0.0.1282   (BTW, I keep seeing references to Release 1 and Release 2, and I'm not sure which my version is.)
I have a large database (500,000 land records) and each record has a value for Management Program and for Project Name. Within each Management Program there are many Project Names.
If I set up a static parameter for Management Program, users are able to select a single Management Program (i.e. WMA, for Wildlife Management Area) from the dropdown list. This returns all records that have WMA listed as the Management Program, which thus includes all Project Names. This works fine, but I want to return just those records that are for a single Project Name.
So I got rid of the static parameter and instead created a dynamic parameter, where the user first selects a Management Program, and then a single Project Name.
I think I set up the parameters correctly, and the select formula (see below) includes those parameters. When I then try to run the report, I successfully get the expected drop down boxes, where I can first pick out the Management Program I want, then the Project Names that apply just to that Management Program.
That part seems to work fine, but no data gets returned.

When I wrote "glitch", I was pretty sure that was more likely indicative of a glitch in my primitive SQL skills than the software itself...
There is indeed a unique ID# associated with each Project. The problem is that there are thousands of projects, and people in the field are much more likely to remember the project name than the 8-digit long ID#.
However, I found a way to make it work...
I retained my first two parameters (Management Program, and Project Name), but then added a 3rd parameter for Project Code. The use first selects the Management Program, then the Project Name, and then the project code. But the only project code that appears as an option is the single one associated with the project name, and when they click on that, only the correct results gets returned.
That one extra mouse click seems like a small price to pay so that you don't get extraneous results returned (i.e. getting results for both ANDERSON and ANDERSON LAKES when you ONLY request ANDERSON LAKES.)
So, problem solved...thanks again for your help.

Colors in Photoshop and InDesign don't match when printed

Output colors in InDesign and Photoshop (CS4) don't match. How can I calibrate? (I can choose a Pantone color for a Photoshop element that I've used in an inDesign document, import it into InDesign, and when I print, the colors don't match)
There must be a way to calibrate the colors among the CS4 software.....

That's what 'synchronised' means... as has been mentioned. Looks like you need to read a few colour management threads.
If you are picking color from the Pantone Libraries, you can easily get mismatches even with synchronized color settings. In ID if you leave Ink Manager>Use Lab Vales unchecked, the Pantone Solid libraries are defined with CMYK values, while in Photoshop the solid swatches are always defined as Lab values. So, if you pick a color like Pantone Solid Reflex Blue in ID, and then open a Lab, RGB, or CMYK file in PS and fill with Reflex Blue from the same library, you'll never get the default ID Reflex Blue build of 100|73|0|2 whether you are sync'd or not.
If you are actually outputting spot colors—the PS color is Duotone or a channel—then Use Lab should always be checked in ID and Color Settings would have no effect because ID doesn't have spot color management.
If you restrict yourself to the Pantone Process libraries, then you can work in CMYK mode in PS and get matches. In that case color settings might come into play if you embedded a CMYK profile in PS that conflicted with your ID doc's CMYK profile, but even in that case it's the assigned profiles that matter not the current color settings.

Colors of imported illustrator files don't match indesign colors

I'll be honest: I'm likely missing something really basic. This is really frustrating, though.
The simple version: when I drag an Illustrator file into my InDesign document, its colors don't match the colors of shapes in the InDesign document drawn with the same color values.
The long version:
I'm working on a resume document. I've created a logo in Illustrator - the document is in CMYK color mode and uses SWOP v2 color space. I've dragged the file into InDesign, where I have some basic geometric shapes that intersect the logo. The InDesign document is also set to CMYK and is using the SWOP v2 color space. I've noticed, however, that the colors of my logo (which, again, was imported from Illustrator) do not match the colors of shapes drawn natively in InDesign even when their hexadecimal color values are identical. To further this point. I created a shape in InDesign with color #86c8cf. I then copied the value #86c8cf into Illustrator and drew a shape using that color. I imported that Illustrator shape into InDesign and placed the Illustrator Shape and the native InDesign shapes side by side. I even exported to PDF and pulled it up in preview to proof it. The colors, while very similar, are NOT the same color.
Am I missing something really obvious? Or are these two programs not at all working together like they're always said to do so well?

Dunno why. Which versions of ID/AI? Not that it should matter, I get the same results with CS6 and CC2014.
One square in ID is native, the other from a placed AI file--though drag and drop are the same results.
Acrobat, hovering over one square...
And over the other square...
I used your hex values in Illy, used Illy's CMYK values in ID.

InDesign CS4 don't run after installation

Before installation of InDesign CS4, InDesign CS, InCopy CS3 and Bridge CS3 runs normally.
After installed, InDesign CS4 don't run, and crashes (during 'Initialising application") with this log:

After months of numerous attempts and frustration, I applied Microsoft KB958869 and... InDesign CS4 now runs fine. And I'm starting a new life after two decades working happily with PageMaker.

InDesign Palettes not working

Hello fellow graphic junkies,
I have a big problem. I am using Adobe InDesign CS5 on windows 7 and have been using it just fine for a long time now. Just today it started having problems. When I open a file everything looks correct and works fine, until I try to push a button on any of the palettes or control panel. The palette titles; ie. Pages, Layers, Links can all be pushed to open up the palette however the buttons in the palette do not work. In fact the weirdest part is that the buttons on the control panel can be pressed but they are off by inches, so I try to change the kerning and the font menu drops down instead however only the control panel buttons and cursor buttons can be pushed. Everything else works, dragging images, writing new copy, drop down menus like File and Edit, clicking cursors or gradients from the cursor palette. I have updated it, re-installed it, and nothing is working. Could this be a plug-in problem with Suitcase Fusion? Is it something crazy like Java or an error with windows itself?

Savez-vous comment faire une sorte de mailing (ou traitement par lot) sur InDesign ?
Je m'explique, imaginons 10 pages avec un fond et des blocs de textes identiques (un gabarie pour résumer) et supposons un fichier (.doc ou .txt ou .xls...) comprenant une sorte de base de donnée de noms (1 - Jean Dupond, 2 - Pierre Dubois... etc). Est-il possible de faire en sorte que notre fichier InDesign traite cette base de donnée en insérant chaque entrée de fichier (.doc ou .txt ou .xls...) dans chaque page du fichier InDesign ? Bien sur en "incrémentant" à chaque fois (page 1 -> Jean Dupond, page 2 -> Pierre Dubois...)
